I stay in a lot of hotels throughout the year and I can tell you this is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Very bougie and just super nice. Room was perfect for an intimate stay, loved all the bathroom amenities, including the oversize shower. I felt like a wealthy person staying in a room like that. Staff I dealt with was super nice and I felt very safe at the location. Love the automatic blinds and the room was comfortable and clean.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Staying here since it opened…but never again. - The woman at the front desk was less than thrilled to check me in and was not even at the desk for checkout. The lobby smelled like sewage and the restaurant below our room played house music till 2:30am. The room next to mine had guests screaming and fighting non-stop going in and out of there room with no one from the hotel intervening. Also the pillows are horrible and the bathroom’s exhaust fan was filthy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Value proposition somewhat poor - It’s a nice boutique hotel but If you are sensitive to scents, they use a very heavily fragrant cleanser/ deodorizer. Later into the evening a sulfurous, sewer gas smell pervaded the hotel. It’s unpleasant and maybe explains the excessive fragrance. For 200+ dollar per night in exurban Chicago this is not acceptable.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Stay was fine until.... - I enjoyed the hotel while I was there. I prepaid for everything and did not charge anything to my room. However, two events tarnished the experience for me. 1. I went to the lobby restaurant one evening and wanted to sit by the bar for a drink and light faire. There were 3 people at the host station talking to each other and did not acknowledge me. One waiter came up and I asked if it was ok to just sit and have a drink at the bar and he said that he did not know and I should ask one of the people conversing amongst themselves. I left and went to the Grill across the street. 2. I had a strange, $20 pending charge on my bill after I left. I thought that it would fall off like the hold but, then, it turned into a charge. When I called, the manager said that I was charged $20 for a stained pillow case that they thought was stained with makeup. What? I have never heard of a hotel charging for that.

- Robert Lewis (6/5): Quiet and clean - The hotel was very quiet, unsurprisingly for our early January stay. We were 3 in our room, with one sleeping on a rollerway bed provided by the hotel. The rollerway was too uncomfortable to use, and so we made our own arrangements, borrowing an air mattress from a relative. The room was clean, as were all the hotel communal areas. Breakfast was a little sparse, with minimal choices available, although the food was refreshed routinely. We were sorry that the restaurant and bar were closed. Prior to our stay I had called the hotel to confirm a rollerway would be available. I was told it was, at a one-off cost of $20. On checking out I was told the cost of the rollerway was $25 a night. I wish I’d known the nightly rate, as I would have returned the rollerway after our first night. It wasn’t used again

But it is not wheelchair accessible, only one elevator worked and the cleaning staff could have been extremely better. Please put trash bags in the trash can. I had to involve maintenance on an issue twice. The breakfast was low quality and the container that held the bread had gnats flying all in it.

My frustration is booking a room on hotels.com when it shows this hotel still has a Restaurant/bar on-site and at check-in learn the Restaurant is out of business and they are waiting for new place to open soon…..and I paid the same amount as when Restaurant was still open.

Right next to the El and right in a little shopping district with plentiful restaurants and shops (highly recommend EmpanadUS for empanadas and gelato—both delicious). Parking was very easy, the room itself was exceptional (in the rooms with a tub, the tub is massive), and great amenities. Breakfast was substantial and gourmet (fresh pastries, bacon, and eggs, among other sundry breakfast foods). The service was good, and everyone was very friendly. Easy five stars here.

- DY (6/5): Not as good as previous stay. - The room was mostly clean but there wasn’t any water like there was supposed to be, the toiletries were almost empty, the Kleenex was almost empty and didn’t get replaced. We only had our room serviced once and it was skipped even though we’d removed the do not disturb before leaving for the day. We’d had a long day at a family funeral and came back to an unclean room and were disappointed. We spoke with some locals who’d mentioned some turnover in the restaurant and it seemed the hours and service were different from our last stay, which was only 3 months ago. When checking out there were no questions as to how our stay was, or request for feedback. The location is good, however.

I woke up to a Farmers market outside and awesome restaurants all around. Its located in a beautiful quaint town. I did not want to leave the jetted tub, the blackout curtains, amazing King bed and beautiful ambiance of the entire room.

TVs are impossible to navigate and we had to get the front desk person help us twice. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were way too soft, and there were no other options in the room. Bathroom was very clean but they obviously didn't check the complimentary boxed kit, ours was empty. The other items were a nice touch and plenty of towels.

- Kenisha (10/5): Great South Suburb Hotel Stay - Nice hotel in Homewood! Loved the new year eve bag with horns, beads, lei, a cookie and a small bottle of bubbly for the new year! Also loved the makeup towel in the bathroom!
