- Francis (8/5): - This is a nice property, especially for guests with kids. There were a few things I didn’t care for most notably the ambient noise level I heard at night. A humming noise coming from the indoor parking area. Probably caused by machines of some sort. Also the parking spaces are narrow which when coupled with steel poles supporting the roof make it difficult to get in and out.

Our room was also very clean and the bed was comfortable. Given the price we paid, at the height of vacation season, we feel that the Crusader was a very good value and we were very pleased with our stay there.

One parking spot per room. The room was a nice size efficiency with a pull out couch and a bedroom. They provided toiletries and the room was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Place is very old, dirty, the toilet was filthy, the sheets were dirty, the bathroom is tiny, the TV sucked, no iron but rooms do have a fridge, laundry on site and staff was friendly. I'll give this hotel a 3/10. Do not waste your money here like we just did!!

- Drew (4/5): Ghetto Operation - We booked a room with 2 beds. When we checked in and went to the room, there was only 1 bed. The front desk told us there were no rooms available to transfer us to, they did not have a cot to give us, and they could not adjust the price for us. On top of that, the bathroom was tiny, like real small. There was only 1 light in the whole room. There was literally no where to hang any clothes (no closet, no hangers, no bar to hang on). There was no iron/ironing board. To sum it up, this place is pretty ghetto. 1/10 stars. Would not recommend

When they were cooking the smell came under the door and you were able to see shadows of people walking around. For a one night stay , location and price was worth it.

Unfortunately I had covid and the woman at the front desk told me to come anyway that they were closing in a week anyway. I keep trying to call to talk to John the manager and this woman at the desk keeps hanging up or tells me he is not there. The thing that really bothers me about all this is they don’t even care about the other families that are there. When someone that has covid and says to come we are not following those guidelines. Do not stay. Take your business elsewhere. Awful people

The new renovations/flooring and updated cleaning practices made our family feel safe, even amidst a pandemic! The rooms were comfortable and the views terrific as always. My only comment would be that the restaurant downstairs serves lunch/dinner later in the day, as they used to! Otherwise, 5 stars, we love the crusader!

- Susanna (10/5): A Great Escape for Two Days - Great stay. I have stayed here several times for many years - however, it has been 2 years since I have gotten to Wildwood. The whole place looks fantastic. It looks like they have really spruced up the place. I was very impressed with how the room/efficiency looked. The office staff and the housekeeping staff were very nice. Sorry I could not stay longer, but I will definitely return next summer.

The path from the the hotel to the beach is great! Its sweet little breakfast place is also, price is good and food is delicious. Will definitely coma back.

We paid for 2 rooms next to each other and we were given 2 rooms on different floors. The lady was all over the place and didn’t explain anything she basically gave me a piece of paper and said everything is here. You get to the rooms there is no phone to reach reception no blankets for the sofa bed no towels and very very poor lighting. Pool area was ok. Lastly check out is at 10. Every other place we’ve stay has always been 11 and we could request a late check out but not here. When I called the front desk (using my cell phone) the guy was very nasty. He said “No check out is at 10 if not we will charge you for another day.” Like really?! Then we go to check out and he looks at me and starts to do other things and leave me there standing waiting for him that other guy came and asked if I was helped. When I told him I needed to check out he was like oh but it’s past 10. I had to explain that the other guy there was just ignoring me and that I had been standing there for a bit. He said ok just leave the keys there. When I asked about a receipt he said we will send you one. I had not received anything yet. I wish I would have gotten name but unfortunately I did not. All I know is I am not staying there again. It’s not worth the aggravation. When you book they are real eager to have you there but when you arrive they really don’t care. Go somewhere else
- MikeP (10/5): - Cleam rooms. Directly across the street from the beach. The boardwalk is a bit of a walk but it is possible to walk to the boardwalk and walk the length of it and walk back. Within walking distance of multiple restaurants. I recommend The Ravioli House. Overall, good property with good price.

I would suggest more pool umbrellas to provide some more shade around the very sunny pool area. It was nice to have the music piped into the pool area. Really enjoyed our stay.. wish we could have stayed longer.
- Sandra (10/5): - I’m a NYC healthcare worker, therefore I am extremely cautious regarding any outside travel. I have kept my family home through the emote pandemic and this has been extremely trying with a toddler. After much research I took my family to the crusader as our first pandemic outing and I must say I was extremely please with the cleanliness, and social distancing at this place. I will definitely be returning. For anyone paranoid during covid, I recommend this is a good fit. The pool is kept at a low capacity, and the beach is just steps away, and not crowded at all.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great Location ! Clean newly done rooms. - We are so happy that we chose this hotel. It took me awhile going through reviews to make a decision.The rooms are clean and new. We added on a extra day because it was such a nice hotel and a great location. It’s about a 10 min walk to wildwood boardwalk and the beach entrance is right behind the hotel. The staff was amazing and gave us late checkout on our last day. This will be where we stay whenever we are in Wildwood.

- R.D. (6/5): - I was disappointed with the room and hotel. The room, 220, was very dated and old. It did not at all look like the pictures. They carpet, bathroom , kitchenette, sofa , beds and whole general room looked like something from 30 years ago. There was no iron or hotel phone in the room. The room looked clean when we got there, and due to Covid we didnt have house keeping coming daily but how clean can it really be with a very old carpet and old beds. The positives include the pool and the proximity to the pool. The staff was helpful. One gentleman was not particularly friendly but thats fine. Restaurants were close by and sites were not too far away. The area of Cape May is beautiful though. I would go back to Cape May anytime but i wouldnt be staying here.

- Pat (8/5): - The shower head had no water pressure going to it, virtually impossible to wash your hair. They really need to change it. They also should put up black out curtains, way to bright right outside the crusader sign. The staff was very nice and accommodating., the rooms and pool area was very clean.
