- Mariam (6/5): Cute local inn - Good kind staff- checked me in early, let us have more time in the room to check out, no questions asked about cutlery, very kind
Location is excellent- lovely gorgeous village with good walks and away from main Blackburn
Bathroom very clean and spacious
Good amenities
Car park was good did get busy at peak times but always able to park. Wasn’t very clean- furniture worn, carpet had lots of crumbs and bits. Would have liked some slippers to walk around in.
Actual bedroom was small with hardly room to walk in.
Smell of food came from kitchens and corridor very loud. To be fair, it’s a local little inn what do you expect!
Breakfast was not good- no pastries, nothing was fresh and veggie grill was cooked from frozen as hash brown was oddly mushy in the middle.
- Janine (9/5): - Clean, good sized family room. Friendly service and great food.
- Joanne (8/5): 2nd time staying - This is the 2nd time we have stayed. Staff are friendly, the location is quiet and perfect for going out and about to explore the local area. Rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything you need. On this occasion is was a little noisier and the room we stayed in could probably do with an update, carpet / bathroom.
- Kevin (9/5): Great location, lovely pub, highly recommend - Great property, good location and warm welcome Bed a little too hard for my liking, 2nd time we had stayed and don’t remember this previously so probably varies room to room

Thanks to the whole team. We had no problems at the hotel, excellent stay
- Ian (10/5): Excellent venue for overnight stay as away fans for football match in Blackburn - Adequately sized bedroom, mirrors and plug sockets all in the right place (important to my wife!), excellent shower. First rate breakfast. Easy to get an Uber to and from Blackburn

- Marianne (10/5): - Sehr liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer im englischen Landhaus Stil.
- Alan (8/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): Staff are amazing - Staff Noisy rooms
- Robyn (10/5): Very comfortable and friendly stay. - The room we had was very clean and comfortable. The hospitality however far exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was equivalent to any served in a five star restaurant. Overall I could not fault this hotel Unfortunately the rooms are at the top of an old staircase which made it very difficult to get our large bags up. The owner however assisted us, so ultimately this was not a problem.

- Carolyn (9/5): - The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and really well cooked. I liked that they had different seating areas for people with dogs. I wouldn't have chosen to be in the annexe wing, especially as my lock was too stiff for me to use, but the manager kindly offered to move me to a different room in the main building if I had wanted and it was my decision not to move.
- Maddon (10/5): - Room was beautiful with lovely “The white company” toiletries.
Lovely food and drinks in the bar/restaurant.
Breakfast was excellent.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
- James (10/5): Excellent - Everything was excellent Nothing

- Natasha (10/5): A lovely getaway for a night of comfort. - I booked this for my mum and dad for a birthday get away. They have said the food was lovely and it was nice and peaceful. The room was beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed and all you need. The shower had good power and the bath was comfortable. They would happily stay again in the future.
- Laura (10/5): -
- Benedette (7/5): - It was clean and warm reception Parking issues and secondly, I should have had a clear communication about the provision of WiFi in the facility

- Neil (10/5): Business trip - Lovely pub Nothing
- Dodds (8/5): Almost a great stay - Pleasant & helpful staff, lovely fresh food, comfortable bed. Great breakfast, even had it served in bed which was a treat. Not being told that the boiler had broken down before hand, we should have been offered a warmer room before complaining. We would have felt that our custom was valued.
- Joanna (9/5): - Lovely food and a comfortable room Too much furniture in the room, made it a little cramped
- jenny (10/5): 5 star food & service at The Millhouse - Gorgeous room, lovely staff, so helpful. Food / drinks are delicious. This is our 3rd stay & we will be back. Super dog friendly - my dogs tails wag the minute they see the front door.
- Tim (9/5): Overall a really relaxing and pleasant stay - The rooms, the bar,the food Was served milk for breakfast in a jug that clearly was not washed properly and had gravy in it
- Ian (9/5): A really pleasant country-house style boutique hotel, restaurant and pub - Nicely decorated, very smart and comfortable Forgot to leave any tea bags with kettle and coffee making facilities
- Catherine (9/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): A cosy winter stay - Warm, clean and comfy rooms with great decor. Slightly on the small side but it was only for one night and on the upside rooms are incredibly well stocked - a clean lavazza coffee machine, iron and ironing board all included! Breakfast was delicious! All staff were lovely and helpful. Nothing negative to say.
- KELVIN (9/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): Excellent hotel and pub - Excellent little pub and hotel, lovely comfy bed, very friendly staff and an amazing breakfast included with so many choices . Great value for money.
- Anne (10/5): A warm welcome, friendly staff and a comfortable room - Lovely, warm and welcoming. Although our rooms were above the bar area you couldn’t hear the customers downstairs.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was excellent. We stayed on B&B and I would definitely recommend the breakfast
- Nadine (10/5): -
- Tony (9/5): Lovely stay - Lovely location. Superb food and menu choices. Shower was quite low and difficult to stand under.
- Sheridon (8/5): Excellent customer service and a special mention for Zandar who sorted out 'boiling water' in room. - Breakfast was lovely - great choice of everything, hot and cold.
The restaurant was very busy but the staff were kind enough to reserve a table near the fire for us the second night which was much more pleasant. Nothing at all.
- Julie (9/5): Comfortable warm and friendly - Country and warm and friendly Bright lights in the bar
- Carol (9/5): - Evening meal excellent. Staff really friendly. Breakfast good as well
- William (8/5): - Very welcoming staff and very dog friendly. Great breakfast.
- Val (10/5): Truly excellent. A perfect venue for our family gathering. - Atmosphere, location, food, service
Room N /A
- Julie (8/5): Super 2 night break in a lovely country pub. - It was a convenient location to reach the Preston Crematorium for a funeral. The room was comfortable with good facilities and we were able to have our dogs stay in the room.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was good quality and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar/restaurant area.
- Domenico (9/5): -
- Jackie (10/5): A gem of a place that will stay in my address book. - I had the full English the first day , which was very filling and kept me going all day. The second day i had eggs on toast and they were very well cooked. The tables are laid out beautifully and it is so nice to have tea from a teapot in china cups. The attention to detail makes this place very special. Nothing.
- David (10/5): Great place , attentive staff with exceptional food. Really enjoyed our stay - Very nice country pub with an open fire and option to sit in the bar or restaurant. Nothing
- Lesley (9/5): Very comfortable in a lovely little village - Friendly staff and my request for a fan in my room was already done when I arrived. Breakfast was very good on both days I was on the top floor and there is no lift. However that was a minor thing
- Suzanne (9/5): -
- Gary (10/5): Superb village hotel with great food and a lovely friendly atmosphere. We’ve stayed there twice for family events and bo -
- Ben (9/5): -
- Nicky (8/5): Would definitely recommend - Very popular pub with the locals. Very warm and welcoming.
Staff were lovely when we had a small complaint and went out their way to solve the situation.
Didn’t eat on the evening, but the breakfast was really tasty. Room was a nice size and decoration great.
- Gerrie (10/5): perfect - Can't say more it was perfect, can't wait to come back.
- Angela (9/5): - Great stay in comfy room. Lovely facilities. Breakfast was delicious and lunch in the pub was great. This was our second stay here and would happily stay again. Great value for money too.
- Karen (10/5): The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. - Incredible location and the attention to detail was impressive. There were lots of thoughtful additions for our dog such as a dog bed, bowls in the room and a jar of dog treats. Nothing
- Philip (8/5): Good value pub stay - The breakfast was really good in a great old pub. The room wasn’t very large
- Sally (9/5): Would stay again, lovely staff and nice food. - Free upgrade was a pleasant surprise, the staff were all lovely and friendly and helpful. Service was efficient and well managed .The food was very nice and we enjoyed a really nice roast dinner on Sunday. Appreciated the little home made biscuits Everything was very good, the only slight down side was the peeling paint i the bathroom window, and there was slightly fusty smell.
- Peter (8/5): - Convenience. Family live in the village.
Staff were brilliant. And genuine. In the attempt to give the smallish room character, it was overfull. Cluttered.
Toilet seat very loose almost to the point of not being attached to wc.
No shower .mat in the bath therefore having a shower was a potentially hazardous activity.
- Lesley (10/5): -
- Fiona (9/5): -
- Matthew (7/5): Food lovely, room needed some maintenance/ cleaning. - Breakfast and service excellent. Some nice touches in room like choice of drinks, lovely shower. Room hadn't been cleaned well, we found a used glass and bottle lid under bedside table on arrival and many corners has visible dirt especially bathroom. There was mould around the windows we couldn't open the trickle vent. There were scuffs on wall and chair. A tray/ coasters would have protected the unsealed wood furniture when making drinks.Bathroom tap was very loose/ wobbly. Maintenance had not been kept up.
