Guest Reviews
- Susan (2/5): Poor experience - Reception was very unwelcoming, even hostile Insisted that we pay for the 3 nights upfront. I am 63 yr old travelling with my son who teaches English in Colombian state school so very reasonable people.
- Daniel (2/5): Hotel pesimo nada recomendable - Muy mal el hotel demasiado lejos de la playa demasiado ruido de los carros y camiones pues las habitaciones están pegada da la carretera principal , pesimo todo ,
- Juan (8/5): Convenient, Clean and with in budget - The hostal is a short walk from the center of the town but too bad. Felipe the host was very helpful recommending places to eat and activities. The day pass was a great option and allowed us to stay a full day a a resort beach with lunch, all within our budget.
- VDV (4/5): Too expensive hotel for what it offers, DIRTY! - The hotel is new, which makes for nice installations. However, they don't EVER clean the rooms or communal areas, don't even broom the room where you're staying, or check the bathroom. On top of it all, the shower is designed in such a way that every time you take a shower, a pool of water is left INSIDE the bathroom, which makes for permanent stagnant water in the private-room (very dangerous in a country like Colombia, where there are a number of mosquito-transmitted deseases). Also, we got to see huge bugs that are not even broomed in the hallways for days (we saw one in particular: a dead 7cm long green cricket as we left our room early on wednesday. The concerning part is that by friday it was still there, and we have pictures) and horrendous comunal showers. All of these a nice concoction for a nise visit to the hospital with Malaria, Sika and other tropical diseases...
Apart from the cleanliness problem, the breakfast is STINGY!!!! I was born in Colombia, and I know the price of fruit and eggs there. However, our breakfast consisted in 1/8 of a banana, three small bites of papaya, one slice of bread, and one egg. Occasionally you could get two pancakes. Oh! and half a cup of coffee and one cup of fruit-juice. If you go out of the hotel and buy a WHOLE papaya, you don't pay more than 1,000 pesos for it, so they don't spend even 2USD in the whole breakfas (It would be best if they didn´t include or charge for it!)
NOT A HOSTEL WORTH THE $80,000/n we paid
