This spring, we had two bad experiences at other hotels in the area. Staying at the Comfort Suites was a breath of fresh air! The eggs at breakfast weren't great, but everything else was excellent.

Surprisingly its hard to find a hotel with a hot tub and pool but this one has both!! AND a slide so a bonus. The breakfast was very good. Even my picky 3 year old loved most of it!

addisonmctague (4/5): Pretty facade - One of the highest priced hotels in the area. Rooms were fine. The TV had issues, and the breakfast was flavorless, low quality. Seems you're paying a premium for a poinsetta lined stairwell and lofty chandeliers. Also while we only stayed one night, there were signs everywhere saying a room will only be cleaned after a convo with the front desk. This struck me as quite odd.

Best of all, Courtney in the Breakfast area each morning was pleasant and hard-working. She went above and beyond every day, picking up a wrapper that I dropped, giving me good suggestions on things to see and do in DuBois, all in all just a pleasant wonderful person! Comfort Suites is very lucky to have her! Ashley at the Front Desk also did a great job at making us feel welcome when we arrived!

Robbins (5/5): - In the end it was all fine, but the start was shaky. When we walked into our room, it was apparent that house keeping did not finish cleaning. There was trash in the waste basket, all the lights were on, the bathmat was on the floor and 2 unfolded towels were thrown on the counter. We went down to the desk to ask for a new room, only to be told that they were sold out. It was only when my husband demanded compensation that the clerk seemed to find another room. Adding to the problem was the fact that I had prepaid booking.com, so I had been told I would have to take up the matter with them . Once settled in our new found room, everything was fine , and The Tannery Bar and Restaurant next door was amazing, including a fun trivia night.

Albert (8/5): Very large rooms, but small TVs and nowhere for some sleepers to plug-in a bedside phone charger - Very spacious room, nice facilities TVs in the room are unusually small. In a 2-bed room, there is only a single nightstand between the beds. There are no outlets or nightstands for the sleepers in the outer positions, so those people have nowhere to plug-in a bedside phone charger.
Kimberly (8/5): Totally met and exceeded our expectations. - Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful facilities. Bountiful breakfast. Well beyond their control, the lake was very low.

Kerry (10/5): - I loved everything about this hotel and it's property. No issues.....clean, comfortable, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, had everything we needed. The only thing we didn't get to enjoy was the restaurant attached or next door because we were there on the one day they weren't open. Definitely would recommend.
Stephen (8/5): - Property was well maintained but a little dated. Breakfast was OK, but very typical and a bit boring. I was there on a Sunday and Monday and the on site restaurant was closed both days.
MaryZ106 (10/5): Great hotel/resort/conference center. - Nice hotel. It’s a conference Center and golf resort as well. We got the second to last room available for our stopover on way to NYC. Packed with golfers and students heading back to Penn State. Check in quick. Room very nice. We had a King “lake view” room. Which is a joke when you see photos. Bed comfy. Lots of pillows. AC worked great and quiet. Good room darken shades. Large TV. Free WiFi. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Breakfast was better than average with lots of hot items. However at 6:45 am the room was packed with golfers even though breakfast wasn’t supposed to start until 7:00. Food was already disappearing fast. Room has a mini fridge and microwave which was nice. The only caveat was trying to find the hotel entrance. It wasn’t well marked. The grounds were supposed to be facing a lake. It was actually a sludgy mess. And smelled. Desk person said the town drained it but didn’t know why. That was last year. I would stay here again. Just don’t pay extra for a lake view.

June (8/5): We love DuBois - My little ones loved the breakfast, pool and nearby parks. Maybe we’ll go finishing next time. The hot tub was out of order our entire stay, really was disappointing as it’s one of the reasons we stay at this hotel.

Judith (9/5): You will feel very rested and taking care of - We have stayed here often over the past few years, at a halfway point, on a summer vacation that we take every year. The room it’s always clean and very roomy. The staff throughout are very polite. The hotel overall is very quiet and clean. There’s a nice lake in front of the hotel with a walkway around it, which is nice to do after your dinner. Can also sit in one of the rocking chairs on the porch and relax. The breakfast is a standard fair that you get at most hotels that is included in the price of your hotel room, so it’s not anything to rave about. The nice thing about their breakfast is that the plates and bowls or paper instead of Styrofoam, and silverware is stainless, and the coffee cups are ceramic. They are constrained by the corporate Comfort Inn. Since your room is such a good price for the quality, we are now grabbing some fruit for the road and heading around the corner to have breakfast at a nice café. We are some time for a little bit fussier about our food, and so many people may find the breakfast just fine.
