• PAMELA (2/5): - This property does not exist and the new owners will not honor reservations. They were rude and did nothing to help us. We traveled 6 hours with our grandchildren and had no place to stay. This should be removed from any booking sites!
• Anonymous (1/5): HORSESHIT!!!!!!! - They were overbooked. We ended up driving home after wedding. OYO and this place is going to be on Facebook in the most negative way. Along with the town I will tell the general public NOT to waste their time and money going there! We are in our mid 70s and we're treated like GARBAGE!

• Susan (2/5): - Place would have been nice if our reservation was accepted Beware - do not book at this hotel Our reservation was not accepted They use to be Evansville Inn by OYO They are now a borders , yet not listed on borders website AND they have no local phone number !!! We are still trying to get refund from our reservation and I called help desk at OYO and they said they don’t have our reservation number . We were able to book a room , the last room available when we got there . But still trying to get refund from online reservation and they don’t accept any online reservations . Don’t Book ! !!!!
• Joseph (1/5): Bad - Upon arrival was informed hotel did not use Booking.com and the hotel was fully booked. Only good news was room was reserved as pay upon arrival so no charges. Had to scramble to find hotel 30 miles away. No phone number to+@“” Booking.com for help.

• Ashley (2/5): I was double charged - Property was fine I was double charged and marked “no show” when I definitely stayed there. Staff was zero help.
• Christopher (1/5): Stay away, this place will scam you. - They sold the rooms that were booked and couldn’t accommodate. I had to sleep in the truck. Front desk wasn’t even trying to help and am having to dispute the bill through the credit card because they said we never showed up.
• Christopher (1/5): I slept in the truck because the rooms that were booked and fully paid for in advance weren’t available. - We had 3 double queen rooms booked for work travel. They didn’t have them so I gave up the single king to my guys and slept in the truck. The crème de la crème was there was also an issue the night before where I was double charged because they ran my credit card at the site, but told the online booking service I didn’t show up. Not helpful at all, either at the site or the sites customer service. Stay away.
• Regina (10/5): - Very convenient location especially for anyone looking to hike the Ice Age Trail.
• Amanda (6/5): Alright - Not all the lights worked in the room. For being a place kind of out of town it was kind of noisy at night. The was no breakfast offered light the ad said.
• Joan (4/5): - The clerk at the front desk couldn't understand English well enough to confirm my reservation and had to call for help. The coffee maker in our room didn't have a basket to hold the coffee pod, Also, it had left- over coffee grounds in the water reservoir, which I rinsed out. There was no coffee made for us in the lobby either morning and no water in the Keurig. I had to take the water bin to my room to get water for the Keurig in the Lobby. There were multiple dried (urine?) stains running down the back side of the bathroom door, which we didn't notice until our last morning. The bedding was clean, very peaceful, as we were the only 2 customers in the entire building for 2 days.
• Scott (2/5): I Would look up options within 20 miles next time. - The breakfast was nothing I could eat. No fruit. Some frozen bad breakfast sammies and Jimmy Dean bowls…… over processed garbage. The TV in my room not working. No actual food for breakfast.

• Diane (5/5): Unfortunately it is the only option for this location. - Location The front desk person did not speak English. Had to call someone to translate which delayed process. Unorganized, had hand written lists of names. Couldn’t provide a receipt at checkout. We stopped in earlier check in to see if room was available and nobody responded to the assistance bell, left and came back after 3.
• Stacia (10/5): - If you are looking for safe, clean, place to spend the night while traveling at a reasonable price this is the place. Definitely no frills and very basic amenities, but room had clean bedding, hot shower, and staff were friendly.
• Leahy (9/5): Superb - It was clean and comfortable and perfect for a one night stay. We were glad it was pet-friendly, as we had our dog with us for the holiday. The coffee pot didn't work in the room. The tap fixture in the bathroom needed some fixing, but it was usable.

• Verified traveler (4/5): No Breakfast or coffee? - There was an odor when you walked in, but not a foul odor. Nobody was at the desk an we had to push a doorbell for the lady to come to the front counter. The room was clean but you could tell it was a very old hotel and needed to be remodeled. Breakfast was included with the price. I went downstairs the next morning and the room was dark. I rang the bell and a lady came out and i asked for coffee and when Breakfast started. She told me that the refrigerator was broke. I asked for coffee and she helped me make some. I asked if i coul be discounted for not having breakfast and she offed me milk for the cereal that was on the counter. Funny that she had milk with the refrigerator broken. Anyway, i asked again for a credit for no breakfast and she said she could give something for our next stay. I wasn't from town and will never go back there.

No snacks, breakfast, coffee or water available. Room rate is less and most competitors and it shows. Ave size comfortable room and beds. Unsure we would return here.

Staff was very accommodating. The room was clean and the location was very convenient. You can even walk to the Piggly Wiggly next door.

• Diana (1/5): Learned to always call and see it is transitioning. - No much. Location ok. This hotel was transitioning between owners they should have closed it. Lady who checked us in had been pulled in from out of state because they couldn’t find workers. She had been the only staff on property for a week. She looked exhausted. A nephew was there in the morning and didn’t know anything. Couldn’t work Keurig coffe machines and somehow our key cards stopped working in the morning. It was a mess.

• John (10/5): - I had a great stay at this OYO. Had a good breakfast and the night was peaceful and comfortable. The hotel had just been purchased and there was a bit of transition going on but they were very pleasant and accommodating their guests.
• Teresa (6/5): Overall although the room was clean and bed comfortable, there were too many negatives for us to recommend this hotel to - The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. When I called the phone number to book the hotel, I talked with someone overseas and was charged a ridiculous price which I quickly requested a refund after going through booking.com paying less than half the original. Our room card/key did not work. There was no one at the front desk, instead a note to go to a room for assistance. The person let us in with a key asking if we were in for the night instead of giving us a new key. The light switches by the door did not work so were in the dark until we found a lamp by the bed. The door leading to the rooms was accessible by the public rather than hotel guests only.

The first room they gave us was not made up so we got a different room. The key card access is not reliable and caused many issues. Also, the place, especially the lobby, really smelled of Indian food. While I like such food, the smell was quite strong and pervasive

• Richard (4/5): Not as advertised - After we got checked in, the manager said there would be no breakfast-it is off season. Yet the website showed breakfast was included. There was no coffee available for guests in the lobby, as has been standard in all other hotels I have stayed at. The room had no towels upon check in-they were brought later in the afternoon. The bathroom sink handle was loose and the pop-up drain lever was disconnected, so the stopper would not lift. Management's fix when told about this issue was to remove the stopper, with hair stuck on it, and place it on the counter behind the sink, instead of reattaching the drain lever. Yuck! And while the shower had excellent water pressure, the water was only lukewarm. We will not stay there again next time we visit Evansville. Not a good value for the price.
• Michael (10/5): - It was quiet clean and the gentlemen that were working were very nice. It is also right next to a gas station/convenience store. just a nice place and a great stay for us.
• Andrew (4/5): - The building was musty and reeked an odd odor upon entering. No breakfast or coffee available as advertised. The shower head was black with mold. Water was only lukewarm. Overpriced to say the least.
• LOIS (6/5): - We have stayed here before but now something was different. I don't believe the same owner have this hotel. EVERYTHING is tge bare minimum, right down to the luke warm water in the showers. We will not be returning to this one for sure!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Boxes EVERYWHERE - Behind the office area was full of boxes. Some stacked 10 high. They were in the hallway and in a small room behind the office. Very messy and I thought a little suspicious.
• Ken (4/5): - This motel needs a complete renivation. The rooms are outdated and the beddings are old. Even the towels are course. The hole building smelt of Asian cooking. There was absolutely no breakfast of any kind and even NO COFFEE provided up front. The only coffee available was that from a ONE cup pot in the room. We were in room 117 and the heater in it was defective as it was making a loud rattling/grinding sound. It has either a bearing going out in the motor or the fan is bad. There is no question that the manager of the place would have been well aware of this problem as it was rattling when we entered the room. The only contact that the manager had with us was his phone call at exactly 11am to tell us it was checkout time? Last time we will be staying there.
• Mavis Kim (4/5): - Shower curtain moldy and stained, sink plug did not work. Stains on the carpet and the bed sheets did not stay on the mattress.
• Dan (7/5): Did the trick for closest to Madison that was decent for sleep. - We were happy that the only hotel in the area that was closest to Madison was a decent stay. Because it could have been terrible. Meet expectations, we arrived near midnight and overslept the check out by 15 minutes, no hassle. Nothing really negative to say.

Bathroom accessories need replacing: Shower curtain has many mold spots, , it has been cleaned of mold, towels need replacing, No breakfast, extreme, garlic odor in hallways and lobby.
• Pamela (2/5): - The property was not maintained, whoever owns it sure doesn't care about the outside, which is the first thing people see.
• Marc (6/5): - Room key didn't work twice; once at 2am (returning from job site). Breakfast was stated on the wall ("Breakfast Monday - Friday 6am - 9am") - I have video of a completely empty lobby. Room was clean; wireless worked. In summary, it's a bed for $105 a night - seems excessive. From what I understand, he's the only hotel in town, so I guess you can charge what you want.
• Jacob (4/5): - Many broken things that appear to have been ignored for a long time, I’ve machine down too, and breakfast was very lackluster. I will be coming back to Evansville, but staying anywhere else (even if I have to drive from further away).
• Claire (6/5): - The staff was friendly, but the hotel needs some TLC. The key lock mechanism on our door did not work properly and the deadbolt would not work. There was a distinct smell of food throughout the hotel.
