Guest Reviews
- JANET (6/5): - Room was very old and in poor condition. Exposed wiring and bathroom in bad condition. Had to put a towel in front of the entrance door to cover gape under door.
- Doris (6/5): Old but ok - The room was clean it's just an old Motel I will say that if it's very quiet there and it was very very well lit outside I felt safe there, although I did find a bed bug in the bed and it did but my arm a few times so therefore we will not be staying there again.
- ashley (6/5): - It wasn’t a terrible place for a last minute stay, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is rundown and needs updating. Our room wasn’t dirty persay but it was dingy, the blanket had holes in it the walls had holes in them and the shower was mildewy and just bleh. It was ok for like a night we ended up leaving early though. Probably wouldn’t stay here again if I had other options.
- Kylee (2/5): - Staff was ok just couldn’t completely understand what he was saying. Got our room and no outlets worked. There was no shower head but the water worked. We went back down to the office to ask for another room and got it. There was a shower head but no working water and there was also a roach beside the bed. Apparently dogs are allowed and cats are not but we saw a cat in one of the room windows. We couldn’t get a refund either so $140 down the drain.
- Leonid (2/5): Stay away - Dirty cheap place and the price not so cheap comparing to other hotels with similar price
- Francis (10/5): - It was great
- Austin (4/5): - I accidentally booked the wrong nights for another hotel, so I booked this place as a last resort thinking it’d be better than sleeping in my Suburban. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
- Jonathan (6/5): - Fine basic hotel. Would be better if the property enforced quiet hours as some guests are disrespectful and are loud at inappropriate times
- Tyrell (10/5): - Clean rooms and good customer service
- Bailey (2/5): - Just was a nasty dirty room they put us in
- Brooke (6/5): - It had barely anything in the room. A tv, bed, microwave, and refrigerator. Not even a mirror. Barely any plug ins.
- Cory (10/5): Old building old rooms but peaceful - It’s was and older building it had better days the rooms also had better days but everything else was very good and it was quiet Usually you hear all kinds of noise yet it was very peaceful slept very well will be back
- Criquett (6/5): - This motel was ok for a one night stay as a traveler passing through. The staff was pleasant and assisted willingly when I needed help turning on the shower. The hotel had a decent looking paint job outside but the room was very old and tired looking. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible. Sometimes it's hard to tell if old things are clean but I think the room was basically clean. Appliances and a/c worked fine.
- Megan (8/5): - I love the convenience and no one bothered us after awhile. Price is right
- Stejeta (6/5): - The housekeepers were nice & friendly but the rooms are inundated w/ cockroaches.
- Savanahlynn (10/5): - Everything was cool,
- April (4/5): - Hidden fees. I got charged an extra $20 after i booked the room. The first hour we were there i wanted to leave. I felt very u comfortable there. The shower door was shattered it was not a very good night to say the least. If i had known what i was going to be staying in i would have chose somewhere else or stayed in the car.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad - Wasn't bad for the price. Great location for the event I attended. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Only thing I had an issue with was people screaming/slamming doors in the middle of the night and then again early AM. But it's not the hotel's fault if customers act that way.
- John (4/5): - This turned out to be the age old no tell motel. Most of the people staying there live in the motel long term. There was a lot of odd events and fights in the parking lot with the police involved.
- walter (4/5): - staff is nice
- MICHAEL (8/5): - Clean, a little dated but excellent shower
- walter (6/5): - not a great place but it was what i expected for the price
- Christopher (4/5): - Its a craphole but what can you expect fornthe location and price. Lots of drugs and prostitutes.
- Paul (2/5): - I didn't expect a resort experience at this price point, but this fell far below what it should have been. The previous guests' trash was piled in a corner and left for me to deal with. No towel, just a bathmat. Light bulbs missing. Light switches installed upside down. Popcorn spackling sprayed over switches and outlets. Bathroom floor pealing up. I booked two nights, but I didn't stay the second.
- Amanda (2/5): - I Suggest no one to stay here. I have a service animal and the guy that checked me in made me pull my personal medical record from my Physician even tho me showing the Proper paperwork for her. Its illegal to ask what and why i have a service animal and hes been reported. Its the Nastius place ive ever stayed at. Wasnt there 10 minutes 5 car loads of cops showed up. People standing outside Screaming to the top of their voices. Kids screaming ALL night long. The pictures that are on here are NOTHING what the rooms look like. They are cold and empty. The walls are painted pink with not even one picture on them. I do not know how this place is passing inspections. If you are looking for a "dope" hotel this is the place to go.
- Vincent (4/5): - Wow; this place should close and be renovated top to bottom.
- Carl (6/5): - An okay place to crash for the night.
- Troy (4/5): Troubled neighbors - Check in was very smooth. The room was clean but sparse. This was a very last minute booking as I drove till I was tired and then looked to see what was available at my current location. Upon finding my room I was right next to what I thought was the teenagers room of a family and Dad was checking in on them as I arrived. All was well till about 11 pm then I heard fighting next door and the sound of someone being slammed against the wall. "The Dad" appeared at their door and one of them was escorted out to the car that was in front of my ground floor room's window. They stayed out there talking till 2 am then drove off. "The Mom" was heard saying that they have left and the rest of them should go to sleep. This left me with a very restless sleep worrying that, in anger, the other one might attempt a drive by shooting or something. I'll remind the reader that I'm only describing them as my 1st impression.
I have no idea as to actual relationship of these people. I left at 6 am trying to get out, before that neighbor chaos started back up. None of this is the lodges fault, but the experience will stop me from returning.
- Joseph (8/5): - Not so bad
- Susan (10/5): - Very clean. Courtesy service
- Clare (2/5): - Filthy worst place I’ve ever stayed at
Doors light switches covered in dirty finger prints chair stained with I don’t even want to know ! A lit if sketchy people around you don’t want to stay here
- James (4/5): Will not return - Very noisy. On the window side of the room there is a main route one the entrance side of the room the hotel owners were very loud and you could hear them talking as their whole family lived in the motel and used the covered walkway to do their visiting and they also blocked the walkways in doing so and they even cooked their meals on a propane stove in the walkway. Not a good experience and will not return. They also charged more for the room than the quoted charge from Hotels.com.
- Plaza (4/5): - poor management of property
- demond (4/5): Roach Motel or Bates Motel - If the entire city is booked up and this is the only place with rooms then you should know why. Pillows were paper thin. Nasty sheets and comforter. Floor super sticky. Room had roaches. The shower was the best part of room. This hotel is very very very outdated. Ironing board was rusted with no padding. Iron was leaking water. I even saw a drug transaction go down. This hotel should not even be listed on your list.
- Betty (2/5): - I reserved 2 rooms and they cancelled them on me. So when we got there we had to sleep in my truck because all motels were booked
- Reginald (10/5): - I
- Emma (2/5): - Nasty bugs everywhere
- Karen (2/5): - I wasn't impressed with any of it it was nasty
- Dennis (4/5): Bottom of the bartell - They spared all expense to improve the room
- Rhonda (4/5): - Disappointing and concerning. It was a smoking room as requested.
- Lisa (2/5): - The room was dirty and smelly towels was stained and very dingy pillows had a nasty smell there was a inch and a half gap under the door the nearest parking was for the staff I was told to take my trash to the dumpster at the back of the property I will never patronize them again!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever seen. The room was extremely dirty. The bathroom had not been cleaned in forever. We checked the sheets, they were stained with God knows what and we got a refund and left as fast as we could. Nasty. I would've slept in my car before I would've stayed there.
- Lori (4/5): Beyond disappointed - This place shouldn’t even be on your list. Laminate floor was visibly stained and quite sticky. No one would walk around room without either shoes or socks - and the socks were black after wearing in room. Place was decrepit, dirty, bathroom cabinet rotted and falling apart. We were too disgusted to shower and afraid to even brush teeth as the water smelled. If we hadn’t been completely exhausted from driving 14hours we wouldn’t have stayed (considered not but needed sleep badly). Unfortunately a group of people stood outside our window and “talked”/made noise for quite some time (midnight to 1:00am). Also, the “queen” beds were not; they were double mattresses on top of queen box springs!
- JUDITH (2/5): Second night in motel hell - Due to lack of planning we spent two nights at this dump. Was so underwhelmed by both stays I mixed up the reviews. The second night was even worse than the first. Did not receive the smoking room we reserved. Both of us are mildly handicapped. Room was second floor with no elevator and nearby parking was reserved for owners/staff. NO BATHTUB! and dark dingy shower with secret combination (showed to us by staff) to even make it work! My disgust and disdain for this place is boundless. Our numerous complaints were responded to with "it's okay"-possibly the only English management knew.
- JUDITH (2/5): Y'all crazy if ya stay here! - Wasn't expecting much for 60 bucks and that's what we got. Wasn't expecting the direct tv receiver to be shut down at 1 am either, but we got that too! Bathroom was dirty to the point of scary. Coin toss as to whether linen had been changed in the last month or this year. Place needs a visit from the health department followed by comdemnation. Ice machine was locked up by the time we checked in. I'd say more but I'm starting to have flashbacks.
- Daniel (6/5): Nasty - Very run down like a murder scence. Bed was lumpy and not clean bathroom had nasty towels. Shower was discuting
- Cy (10/5): Good stay - Friendly people
- Verified traveler (4/5): You don't always get what you pay for.. - The place needs some work
- Me (2/5): - Rude owners and old, run down property. Don’t recommend.
- Bryant (2/5): Horrible Horrific roach motel - ! The outside looks amazing but when you open the doors to the room you are over ran by the smell of mildew in Musk the curtains are about to fall off the windows the roaches greet you everywhere you go there are burn holes all in the blankets. If there was a way for me to get to another room I would be gone if there was a way for me to get my money back I would be gone I would never write this ring as a 1 or 0 it would be a negative
- Jeff (2/5): If you like cigarette smoke... - Rooms had a heavy odor of smoke and the pictures do not reflect the overall condition. The clerk allowed us to cancel after checking in and we stayed at another place in town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location of the property was good and the staff were fine. The condition of the property was okay. The room was not entirely clean; sheets and towels showed stains and I found a toothpick under the bed sheets. The plumbing worked fine. A working television and fridge was provided. Heating worked. It was generally what I expected for the price.
- Mary (2/5): Dont stay here - There where love stains and a lot of cigerette burns on blanket, rug, and furniture. It smelled bad. We got a different room than the first but then I brought home bed bugs. I had to miss work to get it taken care of. Glad i caught it early. Place is nasty and health hazard. I would not associate with them .
- Bradley (2/5): SLUMTEL - One of the nastiest places I’ve ever stayed! My little 5 year old girl and myself were treated like homeless crackheads. It was ridiculously expensive for a slum hotel. Management watched the rooms constant and if you had guests stop in they call the police and tell them you selling drugs! Never again will I stay there and anyone that reads this just know if you stay there You will be treated the same way You were warned. Also they hit me credit card a few days after I paid for the room for over $50.00 so watch your self and your money
- Hjc (6/5): - Ok, not recommended
Broken curtain
Needs painting
Doors not secure
- Leslie (2/5): - Gross
- Jose (10/5): - Convenient and pleasant for traveling through Frankfort
- Verified traveler (4/5): Owners overslept - owner stumbled in in her pajamas. Coffee not made. They don't do wake up calls. Stained towels. Smell of garlic. No tub. Everything oudated. Still have smoking rooms.
- Jessica (4/5): DISGUSTED - Would not recommend at all, pretty run down, could see daylight at bottom of door and saw crickets in the room. WONT BE BACK TO LODGE EVER AGAIN!!!!! Pretty disgusting!!!!!
- Keiko (2/5): Dump - Just stay away. We stayed because there're not many pet-friendly hotels in area. It's a dump. It used to be a Travelodge, but not maintained well. Shower can't be shut, big crack in shower door, icky carpet (i wore flip-flops because I didn't want to touch the carpet), cigarette burn in comforter and on the balcony in the non-smoking room, big stain in the sheet, a condom wrapper on the night table shelf...list goes on and on. The office was always closed so coffee/tea weren't accessible.
It looks some "long-term" guests live in this hotel. The sign on the office reads "no overnight guest", which indicates the guests use the room for prostitution.
- State (2/5): - Like? Close to my destination, remodeled.
Dislike? BEDBUGS!!! Kinky hair under the pillows on the sheets (apparently bed not changed after previous guest), no hot water for showering, general sense of unsafety due to excessive aggressive loitering in common areas making it not kid friendly but notalso not friendly at all.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was bare basic. No phone no coffee pot. Had a double queen room for 3 adults. Was stocked with 1towel 1soap and 1shampoo. But when asked for extra the staff was helpful. There is no breakfast at this place
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nooooooo! - Just don’t do it !! Roach motel
- Teresa (4/5): - There was a leak in the wall from the room next to mine it hot my entire suit case wet.I had to re wash and dry all my clothes and the sink in the bathroom leaked
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was dark dingy surrounded by liquor stores, smoke shops. Not a place to book let alone stop in and God forbid if you have children. If my child was with me I would have took the loss and went else where. Did I mention they gave the room I booked to someone with my name????? The toilet looked new and clean.
- diana (4/5): - Very dirty, carpets nasty, shower didnt work
- Jacqui (4/5): Tweaker Motel - So gross, and they over charged me at that point we were so tired we didn't want to deal with it. It was obviously a crack shack hotel, there were burners all over counters and blankets, towels had unspeakable stains on then. Couldn't get comfortable cause the bed looked like it could have bed bugs. I would stay somewhere else if you're looking for a room.
- Kenneth (4/5): Think twice - Was there 6 days to bring in the New years the lady that checked me in didn't know how to find my reservation so charged me one price then had me come back to pay the difference. The room we were given had cockroaches. First thing I had to do was tighten the legs to the desk in the room to prevent it from collapsing. When i stepped into the shower there was no slip resistant things on the bottom of the tub and about fell.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away - It was dirty. Holes in the door. Overall nasty!
- joyce (2/5): - Do not stay here, it's not good
- Maurice (4/5): I will find some where else next time. - I had a non smoking room with a king bed. The room could really use a coat of paint and not sure when the carpet last saw a vacuum. The photos on their web site were very deceiving. The tub shower on their site was a very small shower that might have been 6 foot high. There was no breakfast but I knew that but what it did say was hot water for tea and coffee. Which after seeing that the microwave that was supposed to be there was not I went to get some hot water to make a cup of coffee in a French press. Well at 730 am I couldn't get into the lobby so I am pretty sure there was no hot water. So I loaded my stuff and had to ring a bell so someone would come to the door so I could check out. The furniture may have had the tops dusted but the faces and sides never had. Even though it was a non smoking room I am guessing it had been at one time and had never been cleaned after and an air freshener was used which having COPD it bothered me. The toilet must need a seal because it would refill every so often through out the night. Over all the room was very tired and could use some repairs and then freshening up.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not good motel. - Not to todo, first cable Box did not World, new flat creen TV, bad DTV box. Carpet need replacement it was dingy. Mo microwave or coffee maker. Smelled like pets have been in the room. Door don't have safety latch and felt flingy. Curtain that cover the window was unattached in several places so at night when vehicles drove by the light came inside the dark room. Hot water in shower had its burst of scorching hot water, you had to be carefull taking a shower. Woke up in the morning with allergy which hot way better after i left the room. Not all was negative, sheets and towels were really clean and air conditioner worked well In the stand in the middle of the room jt had a minifridge working and had a space for the microwave but no microwave The toilet flushes on its own like every 5 min, Probably ieaks water from tank and wakes you up at night.Furniture blocking doors, no safety signs or emergency escape plans. Not good hotel / motel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Staff does not speak english and rooms are dirty. Bed sheets had blood stains and cuts and hair in them. They refused to change the sheets or the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Sheets and bedspread had cigarette burn holes and stains even though it was a non-smoking room. Did not seem clean. Smoke detector was not working. toilet leaked and made noise all night.
- tim (10/5): Good stay - Was good hotel. Nice and clean.
- Jose (8/5): Okay for price - Okay for price
- Verified traveler (4/5): Used for transient or college campus housing - Owner is nice. building is old mid century style. Furniture and bedding not new.
- Allen (2/5): Did not stay - Entire place needed painting ,holes burned in bedspread & blanket, sheets stained. Fire alarm ripped out of wall and missing, worst room I have ever seen. I did not stay. Moved to another hotel.
- Melody (8/5): 3 time staying and this was the best - If every room was as nice as this one this hotel would be ranked better. They should look at this one and model the rest of the hotel after it pleasant surprise
- KA (2/5): Only stay here if you are desperate - We wanted a cheap place to stay, and that's what we got. There are a lot of people who appear to live at this place, and they come and go at all hours of the night and hang out outside this old, run-down motel. We were given a key to our room, not a keycard, and the door did not seal at the bottom because it looked like it had been kicked.
I am glad the room had hard flooring and not carpet, so the floor appeared clean. The sheets and comforter had holes and stains in them, as did the upholstered office chair at the desk.
I was glad to get out of there.
- Vic (4/5): - The room was not nice at all. Bathroom sink dirty. Towels were either very stained or dirty. Pillows were so thin there might as well not been any. Traffic in and out of room two doors down all night. Looked nothing like the pictures you showed of rooms.
- Marvie Dingle (2/5): if you can book elsewhere, do so - not a great stay at all....
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Easy to find, near downtown, university, restaurants and shopping. Ice was not available in the morning when I left early.
- SCOTT (2/5): FILTHY - Every square foot of the room's carpet was dirty and/or stained. The bedspread, sheets, AND one of the pillow cases had multiple cigarette burns. Though the room had a microwave and fridge, there was no iron, ironing board, or coffee maker; not even one hanger. Thankfully, the two wall lights barely lit the room, otherwise I fear what other filth existed.
- Samanha (8/5): water - Needed more hot water, The water was not hot enough.
- Joseph (2/5): Worst stay of my life - Awful. Room was disgusting. They were showing people my room while I was staying in it. Also tv was broken. Terrible all around shouldn't even be open. Upset that hotels.com allowed this to be an option
