Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - 4 rooms = silence !!
no coaches, no tucktucks, .... , héhé
- Verified traveler (6/5): Old English Bungalow - Unfortunately it was very noisy as they had other guests partying. Small area and rooms and social area closely confined.
Nice bathtub.
Exceptionally nice staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Stay, Great View but be Vigilant - We had a nice stay at Mandira Strathdon -it is indeed as close in reality as to the pics posted -very beautiful and scenic. The view from here is heavenly and the Bungalow is indeed very clean and spacious.
There was only one thing that I was not happy about -somebody from the staff flicked our tea packets (that we had purchased on the way from Nuwara Eliya to Hetton) which we had kept in the welcome room and forgotten to take it along with us to the room that was assigned to us. The Management at Mandira Strathdon should ensure that they keep honest and ethical staff. I could not believe that such a thing can happen in Srilanka -the country and its people are indeed very friendly, politie and courteous. Also -for travellers used to hotels, I suggest to keep a watch on their belongings as the Bungalow has just 4 rooms and the security can be lax. The food served was quite palatable
