• Julie (1/5): Très loin des attentes espérées - Le quartier est très joli, on se croirait vraiment en Angleterre. Le personnel est gentil. Les photos n’ont absolument rien à voir avec la réalité de la chambre. Nous étions 3 adultes et avons donc réservé une chambre pour 3. Le troisième lit était simplement un matelas par terre à côté du lit deux places… soit, mais pour un 4 ou 5 étoiles c’est moyen, surtout quand on voit le prix initial de la chambre. La moquette est sale, tachée, sans parler des murs, des plinthes et fauteuils. Le rideau est troué…Il y a de la moisissure au plafond et dans la salle de bain. Je n’ai pas pu ajouter plus de photos mais l’idée est là. Nous n’avons pas pu tester le confort des lits car devant de telles prestations nous ne sommes pas restés et avons été remboursés intégralement.

The Facilities: While the furnishings are a bit older, everything is meticulously maintained and very clean. Special Touches: The living room was decorated with beautiful fresh flowers, and there were board games and comic books available, which made the stay very relaxing and fun for the family. Breakfast: Good and satisfying, but there was no change in the menu during our two-night stay. A little more variety would make it absolutely perfect. The Host: The host is incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond. On our check-out morning, we were gifted a stunning handmade bouquet of flowers. It was such a kind gesture that put us in a great mood for the rest of our trip. The hot water stopped working twice during our stay for no apparent reason. A young staff member came quickly to fix it, which we appreciated, but he didn't explain the cause.

• OliverSimionescu (10/5): great place! really nice staff. superb rooms - Kent Cottage was a completely different experience, but exactly what we expected when we made the booking. Staying here truly felt like being in a cozy countryside cottage somewhere in the UK. The staff was just as we hoped — warm, caring, and genuinely attentive. They looked after us very well, helped us with food recommendations at the lovely pub across the road, and even offered to cook something for us if we wanted. The room was absolutely beautiful — really stunning. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had all the facilities we could possibly need. For breakfast, you simply agree on a time with them, and they prepare everything fresh for you, including the food, coffee, and tea — a very nice and personal touch. The night was a bit chilly, but we were given a heater and warmed up the room before going to sleep, which made everything very comfortable. Kent Cottage is a little outside the city, but you definitely won’t regret staying here. It’s something different, truly unique, and incredibly relaxing. For us, it was a total disconnect from the chaos and busy atmosphere of Sri Lanka — in the best possible way.

• Anita (1/5): Avoid! This house needs to be completely renovated. Mould everywhere - Nothing There was mould everywhere. We had to move out because all our clothes got wet and mould was on the walls. This was posing a huge health risk. We asked for a refund. The owner accepted our request, but never paid - even after multiple calls and mails via booking platform. Even booking did not help.

Атмосферные коттеджи, английский стиль, наливают чай при заселении 3. На территории комплекса есть ресторан, правда дорогой,но вкусно. 1. Мебель хоть и красивая но очень старая - протерта обивка. И вцелом видны следы старины - пятна и потертости на стенах, старые двери, в ресторане попадаются тарелки со сколами

• Kum (6/5): Nice helpful host, great location and security being in a gated community. - Great location and very peaceful Usually quite cold at nights as the heating didn’t seem to hold up as the rooms were large. A lot of the furnitures seem to be well used ie broken draw nobs and one cabinet with broken glass mirror. One bathroom clearly had damp problem with mould on the ceiling and around the door frame. But the main concern I had, which was raised with the host, was the helper had access to our kitchen and the use of the refrigerator, which kind of defect the objective of us having privacy due to having small kids, and to cook at the house. The host was very understanding and took steps to cover up the door glass and assured us they will only enter the kitchen for their provisions. In the end, we went out for all our meals during our stay.

The room was awesome- clean really big and had every facility included. You could go with a couple of clothes and the room provided the rest. There was even a bathtub and endless hot water. • Chek (10/5): Beautiful and quiet place and good food! - It was a great place to stay within a gated community and the surrounding area was pleasant to walk around. The breakfast was served at the table and we had a choice of Sri Lankan or western. In fact, we liked the cooking and ended up having dinner there as well It was a little far out from Nuwara Eliya and not easy to find. Thankfully, Nalaka, the housekeeper wrote his motor bike to meet us at the junction to lead us there. .
• Aditi (9/5): Full of charm! - The property was beautiful, idyllic and perfect for a vacation. The property manager Nalaka and his team were outstanding and made every effort to make our stay comfortable ! They made us tea through the day and we had a wonderful time having our breakfast in the cute garden. The place has a lot of charm and I’d strongly recommend it! Given that it’s usually cold in Nuwara Eliya, the place does not have air conditioning. It can get a little stuffy in the rooms. When requested they did provide a small fan but it was not effective for the large room.
• Lídia (10/5): We Loved It So Much, We Stayed an Extra Night! - We originally booked two nights at Kent Cottage… but ended up staying a third because we adored it so much! Once again, Nalaka and the team made us feel like family—their hospitality is unmatched. The rooms are cozy, the garden is lush, and the location is ideal for exploring Nuwara Eliya’s hikes and waterfalls. Nalaka even shared great local tips. After three stays here, we can confidently say: This is THE guesthouse in Nuwara Eliya for genuine care and a homey vibe. Thank you, Nalaka!

• Yasin (9/5): Tropical England - Kent Cottage is the best looking cottage inside of Little England. From the first moment, we were impressed by the architecture and interior design. The room was well decorated with a lot of small details. Staff was extremely kind and helpful that they gave us a lot of information about the area, city, region and the country. Breakfast was also delicious. Absolutely it was a great stay.
• Aseka (10/5): Comfortable stay and value for money - The extremely friendly and helpful staff in addition to the fact that its a very beautiful property. Food was also great. The one thing that was a bit inconvenient was that we didn't have hot water in the night. Everything else was just perfect. Nalakas service was exceptional.
• Manasi (9/5): Peaceful!!! - Property is very well maintained and very clean. We stayed with our toddler. Very peaceful place to stay. Staff is very well mannered, helpful and well behaved. English Breakfast was very fulfilling and fresh (extra charge for that but worth it).
• Philip (3/5): Will not be recommending this property. - Very isolated spot, no options for eating out, very high price for mediocre room, a further fee was requested for breakfast which we felt was most unkind, we left feeling hungry and had to wait for quite a while to get transport. Thereby losing time to visit Nuwara Eliya. Manager very pleasant but staff rather cool.

However, the house needs a little renovation. Wifi was very bad and were told they rely on Dialg wireless broadband which didn't not work well...

• Chamal (10/5): Exceptional - We booked here for my wife's birthday. This place looks way better than the photos listed here. It was full of flowers and very pretty. Their welcome was very warm and staff there is very friendly. Place is clean and antique interior makes that place more picturesque. We held a surprice tea party birthday celebration for my wife and Mr. Nalaka was very supportive. He did a great job helping me to arrange that. We are fully satisfied with the stay.

• Anupam (9/5): Wonderful - Wonderful host and very beautiful property with location near tea gardens and also a good breakfast It's not about dislike but yes it can get bit uncomfortable as there is no AC , so in summer , it can get uncomfortable, yes the hosts provided a fan quickly when we asked
• Benson (9/5): Superb - Real fireplace downstairs in the common area. Hot tub in the loft as advertised (although it takes a long time to fill up, at least there was plenty of hot water). The only issue was the distance from everything. You need to plan to just eat all meals there or have a car and be willing to drive a bit to get to shops and restaurants.

Team at Kent cottage were very helpful arranging tuktuks to town etc. One restaurant within walking distance Its about 10 minutes outside town, which makes it peaceful, but limits local options for dining

Nalaka and his team are very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The food was among the best we had in Sri Lanka.Both their Sri Lankan dishes and the English breakfast were wonderful. The king suite was spacious, clean, and well equipped with lots of board games, books, and plenty of complimentary bottled water. We hope to come back when we are in Nuwara Eliya next time. Nothing
• Afifa (10/5): Absolutely stunning hotel and excellent hospitality - Kent cottage was absolutely stunning. It felt surreal, I’m from England and live cottages and it felt like I was in England. The host Nalaka was so nice and kind and I honestly have never felt that well looked after. He made us feel so welcome and catered to all our needs. The cook was also awesome, we messaged Nalaka on the day of arrival and asked if dinner could be cooked for us, he shared the menu and also offered an alternative (devilled chicken) honestly it was a absolutely delicious meal. Each day for breakfast we were asked night before if we wanted English or Sri Lankan breakfast and it was all ready by time we came down. I would highly recommend Kent cottage. We had the room with the free standing bath tub it was such a big and beautiful room and bathroom Nothing

• Susan (10/5): Exceptional - I rate it 10/10! The experience and the area was simply magical. Stepping into little England cottages, the whole colony itself gave such cozy feels. The walk around the colony was amazing, just taking in the beauty of it all. The room was huge, with the hot tub/jacuzzi n the room being the highlight with the amazing view. Our host’ Nalaka’ was the best! He was so hospitable and catered to ALL our needs. For breakfast we had the stringed hoppers with chicken curry which was good. 👌🏼
