Guest Reviews
- Mariya (10/5): -
- Simon (7/5): A very brief stay in Tiddington and a walk to Strstford - The hotel is about 2.4 km from Stratford in peaceful Tiddington. It was easy to find, had ample parking and a spacious bedroom. Hard to judge from a quick visit (to the theatre) but it felt relaxing and would be ideal as a base for a longer stay in the area or for travels further afield. Nothing bad. The set up where the hotel staff leave in the evening and breakfast is do it yourself porridge and pastry is convenient, but i think they are missing a trick in not providing something more. Particularly at the price we pay for hotels and its location away from Stratford.
A nice hotel and somewhere i would book again for maybe longer.
The walk onto town is flat but 20-30 minutes. Buses and taxis are perhaps a better option, particularly in the winter or late at night.
- Margarida (9/5): - L'hotel i l'habitació molt agradables.

- Richard (10/5): Great stay. Good price. Clean. - Good location. Free parking. Large room with good facilities. Easy check-in process. Will stay again.
- Natalie (8/5): Nice clean property, good location. A nice touch is the complimentary breakfast box in your room. The toiletries in the - Location, free parking Bed very uncomfortable
- dimuthu (8/5): I enjoyed the stay - I like the room, it’s neatness It’s not very clean, I found stains in towels and cups were stained
- Amy (9/5): -
- maxstrammer (3/5): I won't stay at this hotel again unless service levels improve. - The room and public areas were clean. I have visited the hotel on two previous occasions prior to lockdown, which is why I reserved again for this visit,
First complaint: no proper breakfast (apart from what was in the room - instant oats and something masquerading as pain au chocolat).
Second complaint: I did not receive any notification about the lack of a proper breakfast until after I'd booked and paid. I would not have booked otherwise.
Third complaint: There were zero members of staff visible/present(?) from the time I arrived (22:15) until when I left at 09:15 the next morning.
- Gillian (8/5): - Location was perfect for my needs
- Fiona (6/5): -

- Paul (7/5): Convenient location whilst travelling with work. Helpful and friendly staff. -
- Patricia (8/5): - Complimentary breakfast.
Friendly welcome and good device on local opportunities for eating
- James (8/5): -
- Gonzalez (8/5): Pleasant experience - Staff were lovely, hotel was lovely, quiet, and clean. Bed was ok as far as comfort. Will definitely stay there again. Great price. Nothing really, just bed could have been more comfortable but that's just personal preference.
- David (5/5): - nice big car park and good Wi fi rooms quite large. Its not really in a great location for the town its a good walk away, lots of contractors staying The Limes just needs a little more of a tidy inside and out and personal touch, it was just about Ok for the price, no receptionist after preset times No breakfasts ? The Hotel could do so much more.
- pete (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at this hotel - Friendly welcome, clean room, all good for us Tv did not work
- Nigel (10/5): Very comfortable and great location - Large car park and easy check in Nothing to complain about
- Sharon (6/5): Reasonable price, sort out light and blinds and it’d be even better! - Price
Quite comfortable bed
Nice decorated room Fire exit light in room
On all night as fire exit light
Blinds didn’t fit windows so gaps of light and people could see in if looked from side
- steven (10/5): Great place to stay free parking and lovely room comfortable bed - Good location and price lovely room Nothing
- darren (6/5): - Local to stratford so can walk in Room 5 said it was a king bed.i dont feel 2 singles pushed together even makes a bed as the ridge in the middle.if so put a king mattress topper over so you can at least lie together.blind in bathroom not as wide as window so people can potentially see in.in need of a renovation
- Alan (8/5): A bit tired but a work in progress? - Price. Welcome and local pub Distance from town
- Lloyd (10/5): - Peaceful and relaxing
- Jamie (10/5): -
- Marie Proverbs (10/5): Great find - Lovely hotel with only a short walk into the centre. Nothing.
- Joshua (9/5): -
- Kevin (10/5): This Hotel is a hidden gem .. I have given this hotel a glowing review on my “ YouTube Channel.. “ Kevin Vaughan @nicepl - A superb period property.. Immaculately maintained.. Super clean and comfortable and in an outstanding location.. I would 100% recommend Absolutely nothing.
- Beverley (10/5): - There was no breakfast available on our stay, but they did put like a continental breakfast in for us for Easter Sunday, which was really nice Hotel was in a really good position only 20 minutes walk into town bathroom could’ve been a little bit cleaner
- Sue (10/5): Highly recommend this lovely Stratford upon Avon hidden gem - Lovely hotel, warm welcome, great location and we loved our rooms Nothing
- Francesca (8/5): -
- Vivienne (10/5): Perfectly appropriate for my needs. - Clean and functional No bar but I knew that
- Amanda (9/5): Convenient place to crash if going to Compton Verney. - The staff were excellent, they went above and beyond during and after our stay - helping my Mum download Uber so we would be on time for our event, and then posting me items left in my room promptly and in really great packaging. The beds were extremely comfortable, the shower was really powerful, loads of coffee and tea in the room and breakfast snacks left to help us on our way. We had a downstairs room next to the front door, but it didn't wake me up too early. Really clean, nice soap in the bathroom, great value. Would recommend. It was unreasonably warm in the building, and I couldn't see a way to turn it down. Normally I don't mind this, but because we were next to the front door I couldn't open the window to get some air in. Maybe just check the thermostat.
- David (8/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): - Basic clean and comfortable with big bath towels Nothing
- Eric (10/5): Quiet and clean - NIce quiet location Nothing
- sophie (10/5): Lovely stay - It was unexpectedly self contained, very peaceful and the room was lovely and spacious! It was almost like a little 1 bed apartment just without a kitchen. Very pleased. It was about a 25 minute walk into town but you could get a bus and the taxi from the station was less than £10, so would be even less to the centre. It has well placed tables outside getting all the sun, that you can sit and have a coffee or drink in and they were so efficient with housekeeping after we left, that they found the items I left and immediately told me when I was only 1 stop away on the train so I could easily come back for them. They also leave out plates and cutlery in reception in case you have a takeaway and need them.
Will certainly rebook if I visit this area again! there wasn't really anything to dislike! You have a key for your room and the backdoor, we were at the front and so could go out the front door but not come in that way, maybe those rooms at the front could have a key for the front door instead?
- Stacy (3/5): - Everythink I was kept up all night by a couple who were very loud banging n clashing n being extremely noisy on the sexual side of things
They had no consideration at all
I love the limes and have stayed before and will again but visitors in other rooms need more consideration to others
I have requested a full refund but havnt heard anythink regarding this
- Ruslan (10/5): -
- Dan (8/5): - Ease of access. Clean and a delightful French gentleman on reception Was promised a bath but only had a shower after having requested a bath
- Catherine (8/5): Great space, very clean, lovely host - We stayed in an apartment, and it was very, very clean. The host was great, and there were lovely little touches too. We were happy to walk into town but it is about 30-35 minutes for anyone that might not like walking as much.
- Susan (10/5): - We liked the separate apartment which was very comfortable
- Catherall (9/5): -
- Carol (4/5): Unfortunately for the price, the accommodation was not up to standard. - It was lovely to have a bedroom and a small living room. The lady on Reception was really nice and very informative. Needs complete renovation. Needs a restaurant. On booking it should state the fact that there are 2 floors and no lift. I was on the 2nd floor and have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Angina. The stairs were difficult.
- mark (1/5): This ended very badly - My stay was poor due to bed bugs being present , hotel did refund the cost of my stay and £25 for decontamination which was poor but acceptable and was amicable but does not take away they where present.
Would not stay here again . On reflection it was ok , but it all went wrong on the last morning when I woke and had these critters in my bed.
- Amanda (8/5): Very comfortable. - Perfect location, half hour walk into Stratford. Plenty of car parking. Very comfortable. Will definitely stay again. Nothing, it was good.
- Helen (8/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Pamela (10/5): -
- Kristan (10/5): All is perfect, 5 stars, highly recommend to anyone - Very clean, very comfortable and the host is extremely welcoming, and is French which made my French GF very happy. All was perfect
- Lloyd (10/5): - The room was very nice spacious and comfortable the staff member was very helpful Nothing to dislike
- Martin (8/5): -
- NIGEL (6/5): - A clean comfortable bed. A bit tired and tatty in places.
- Katrin (7/5): Pleasant - Helpful staff. Room was pleasant, lovely linen and fresh, clean towels. Coffee/tea station in toom with biscuits, breakfast basket available in room. Close to restaurants and grocery shop. Had room downstairs, outside light shining into room, eventhough blinds were down. Shower blockage, water ran out onto floor. TV remote did not work, ask staff to change batteries, helpful. If you walking from station, it's about 45minutes walk... With luggage. No restaurant on site.
- Joanna (7/5): We felt that what we got for the price was fine. It’s not luxurious, but we don’t need that, there’s no breakfast but we - Clean, huge comfy bed, 35 mins walk into Stratford which was fine for us.
- Guest (8/5): -
- NICHOLAS (1/5): Totally lacking in human compassion. - Nothing Everything I was up front and explained my reasons regarding the hotel. Obviously the reception chose to believe that I had fabricated the fact that my visit was for a funeral.
- Brantingham (8/5): Convenient and comfortable if jaded and highly adapted to its present purposes - Location. Near enough to SuA but not in it. It’s a bit labyrinthine. But it’s a converted old house. And it doesn’t feel like an hotel. More a hostelry. Good enough and works well. Will stay again without doubt.
- Michelle (10/5): Perfect for visiting Stratford and relaxing around the property and local facilities. - Very clean and well maintained. Beautiful big classic bedrooms. Lovely extras like complimentary breakfast in the room
- Harry (9/5): - Good location, very clean and smelt good, very friendly staff with everything you need plus the breakfast additions were a nice touch and the room was better than expected.
- John (10/5): Very clean and helpful if you needed anything there staff were very helpful would recommend to anyone definitely would - Very clean Nothing
- Kerry (7/5): Lovely. Grest location would stay again - We arrived earlier than planned but was allowed to park our car in carpark and take the lovely 30minutes walk into stratford town. Our room was lovely and clean with a very comfortable bed. Coffe and tea available in room and some wrapped pastries were a lovely touch for breakfast, before another visit into the town. A pub and chinese restaurant is only 5mins walk from hotel to .
- marayah (10/5): - Easy book in, comfy bed and fridge in room No net curtains on window, we were in a ground front room
- Lucy (7/5): Great for what we needed - The manager/owner was incredibly friendly and we felt the place was clean and we were provided with everything we needed. The room was incredibly warm
- Lorna (10/5): - Ive stayed here a few times.es and its always so clean and cosy in the room Nothing
- Ivor (7/5): OK for one night - Convenient for function we were attending Lack of breakfast. Pain au chocolat and an apple in a basket only.
- nigel (7/5): ok - Free car parking, handy for local indian and Chinese restaurants, also local pub. Mattress for us was uncomfortable, towel rail in bathroom wasn't working, one wall light and one bedside table lamp not working !.
- David (4/5): Fine - Spacious carpark and everywhere was clean. Windows exposed to passing traffic/people
- ka (10/5): Our stay at stratford limes hotel - Lovely staff. Great apartment with private entrance 👏 private and perfect for a time away. N/A
- Julie (10/5): Our room was lovely and clean, really warm too. There was complimentary breakfast in the room also well stocked with tea - Lovely clean room and really friendly staff. Just a mile or so from the town centre
- Martí (9/5): -

- Annette (10/5): - Stayed here a few times. The stuff were friendly and very helpful. I recommend my friends and tell them its a little gem. Will definitely be back next time I visit Stratford. Great, give it a go,hopefully you will love it.
- Declan (8/5): -
- Terry (9/5): -
- Adam (8/5): Quiet and enjoyable. - The staff is friendly and helpful, the room quiet at night; it's very clean and warm. I would like a vegan option for the breakfast left in the room: only the apples were vegan...
- ginette (8/5): Quiet comfortable hotel near Stratford upon Avon. - Very clean comfortable room with everything you need. Super comfy bed & pillows, clean crisp bedding. Complimentary breakfast basket a lovely touch. Hotel has plenty of parking & lovely & quiet. Staff very friendly & helpful. About 35 minutes flat walk to the centre of Stratford. Nothing.
- Dana Meddings (10/5): Prefect quiet escape - Polite and friendly staff, the breakfast extras was a wonderful touch.
Nice local pub and the Chinese take away was top notch. Lovely village in all. Beautiful walks just 15-20 mins away.
And town centre simple 15 mins drive.
Our 1st break as a couple and the hotel was perfect for what we wanted . We will be returning Nothing. Everything was great
- Faye (3/5): Very very disappointed. - I liked the pictures It took 2 attempts to check in as no one answered the door, we had to call the helpline both times and one the second it still took 10 minutes to be greeted by an employee in dirty trackies and trainers who was talking on the phone a different language.
The television did not work.
The bathroom was covered in black mould which wasn’t juiced until the following morning when using the shower. As I suffer severe asthma had I known this I would be have stayed and would have left the property with no hesitation.
On checkout there was agin no one there to speak to. It appeared there was no one in the building to assist with any enquires at all.

- Kaz (1/5): Unsatisfactory standards - The location/ parking To whom this may concern
We arrived on Friday 6th of March
This was a birthday trip for my husband 70th
As soon as I opened the door of room 1 the smell hit me ! It smelt of past cigarettes
The walls were filthy
The were cobwebs hanging
The bathroom was disgusting
There was damp on the wall in the bedroom. Some of the wall had peeled off
The skirting boards were in places coming away from the wall
There were dead flies behind the units in the main area
There was also a peanut in the corner by the window
The duvet was stained. The pillow shams were stained.
The sheet had Hairs on it
The carpets were absolutely disgusting stained and filthy
The net curtains in the bedroom were filthy as were the curtains both in the bedroom and lounge area
All doors skirting boards were disgusting as previously mentioned so were the walls
I have NEVER in all my years of travelling EVER been greeted by such a disgusting Room!
The room was not fit for purpose and since visiting your hotel I have read the previous visitors comments and this is not the first time this has been mentioned. Why has this room not been
On arriving, there was no one at reception we initially could not find the box where the key was situated due to the fact of no lights being on there was also a lady sat vaping I thought your premises both inside and out were non-smoking!
departure, Day once again there was no one on duty we had to put our key in a old tissue box.!
All areas outside of our room where filthy the carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned the walls once again were full of dirty marks. The entrance area also unkempt. One of the glass panels in the main door was cracked the outside area at the front also a mess ashtrays just left bushes overgrown .
We would not stop at your hotel again!
They did upgrade us to another room, which was slightly better, but you could hear peoples conversations from the other rooms and it was still not as clean as it should’ve been.

- Geof (10/5): Very good choice! - It had comfort & class. Easy parking and very quiet. Good location for where I was going (Tiddington). A breakfast box was provided in my room for free which was very handy but the hotel doesn’t cater for sit-down breakfasts.
- Vicki (9/5): Lovely stay, close to restaurants & local pub - Easy access to local restaurants & pub, 10 min drive into Stratford. Large car park. Comfy rooms, complimentary breakfast of fruit & porridge. Staff friendly & helpful Nothing
- David (8/5): - Great Comnunication
Accommodated an evening check in
Excellent value Mattress a little uncomfortable, this was echoed by the four of us, none of us felt we had enjoyed a good nights sleep.
- Craig (10/5): -
- Simon (10/5): No restaurant bar, but lovely and peaceful place to stay - Superb nice clean comfy bed lovely shower perfect No restaurant bar /dining
