They will remember me arranging my walking tour. Both so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Outstanding. The only negative- I thought there was quite a bit of dust in the breakfast room. Not helped by the dark furniture I know, but the bottles need a wipe! Thanks

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the room service has been consistently excellent every time. Don’t settle for a sub par bed. Breakfast the second time was also superior. Staff we friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is varied with something for everyone. The bar/lounge very comfortable with a great bartender! The staff, friendly and accommodating, and the room quiet and well equipped with essentials. The only disappointment was they did not have an onsite fitness area, although they did have an arrangement with a local gym for an additional $5 lb per visit,

Our room was exceptionally comfortable with a generously sized shower room. There were good coffee and tea facilities in the room and the proper Sky tv package was a bonus. A small thing but the hotel bar was not as welcoming as we had hoped. We did arrive late but were told the bar stayed open until midnight. Our night cap felt very rushed and an inconvenience to the staff. We may just have been unlucky with bar staff at the end of a long day.

• paulaaA5586QT (8/5): Nice hotel but needs improvements - On a positive note: the hotel was decorated very nicely, as were the rooms, very chic. We had a drink at Jacks which was great and ordered wine and food from room service and it was very good. The staff was pleasant. The cons: There should be a book with room information “How to” information on how to turn the lights on in the room but we had found out being at a previous hotel that you had to stick your room key in a slot box on the wall. There should be a book on hotel and local information. It would have been nice to have brochures on the local area. The mini fridge was broken and a maintenance person did come look at it, but nothing g was fixed, it remained warm. There should be a mini light where the coffee machine was, it was hard to see anything. We were given one tiny bar of soap.

Signature suite booked and amenities included such as complimentary mini bar made for great value for money. Great dining options and reasonably priced. Staff professional and courteous, nothing was too much trouble when asked for assistance regarding dining and late check out options. Nothing about the property itself. Did look to upgrade the room via bid system but unfortunately didn’t get a response until we had already checked out! Only a minor niggle, stay was otherwise fantastic!

Staff has been very helpful and they also kept two parcels for me, which was very appreciative. The quality and standard equals a 5* hotel Unfortunately it is a bit expensive. It ranges more in the equivalent of a 5* hotel, which is absolutely justified if you only consider style and quality. However for a 5* property it is missing a Spa or Gym, which makes it not the best value for money

Great details like the leather covered desk and heavyweight metal table. The hotel staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Access to a nearby gym at a nominal fee was appreciated. I really like this hotel, so it is hard to find something amiss. The location in town allowed us to walk to almost anything. Being a little closer to Merchant City could be a nice touch.

• tomhE1810ON (6/5): Nice hotel, but was expecting more - Well located hotel, not that far from Sauchiehall Street and some nice restaurants/bars. Booked for a special night away, but didn't live up to my expectations. We had a classic double room, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't in keeping with the images on the hotel website. The images show this type of room with a chaise lounge at the foot of the bed. Our room didn't have this and as such was smaller than expected. It was also a bit tired in places and could be doing with a freshening up (scuff marks on doors, walls). We didn't have the greatest of sleeps. My side of the bed sloped into the middle and the noise of the A/C, heating although not really loud was noticeable. We spent part of our evening in Jacks Bar. We encountered an issue while in the bar and the team looked to make things right for us, but the issue shouldn't have occurred in the first place and could have been handled in a better way. It did leave us with a bit of a sour note to the evening. Breakfast was ok, service was a bit slow and I had to ask for someone to come and take out hot food order as we'd been sitting for some time with no one checking in on us. I also had to ask twice for coffee to be brought to the table. There was quite a bit of a queue to check out and if asked by the concierge 'how was your stay?' was going to highlight some of the above, but this was not asked and I didn't feel it appropriate at the time to hold up other guests. The small touch of a card and small box containing 2 chocolates was nice. For the price paid we could have had a bigger room and better experience in a number of other nearby 4* hotels.

• Kimberly (10/5): Fantastic - 3rd time here and did not disappoint. Place is immaculate. Staff are helpful and friendly. Food is delicious. A perfect stay. Don’t think I will stay anywhere else when visiting Glasgow! Myself and my daughter wanted to sit on the outdoor terrace as it was a beautiful day but she wasn’t 18 therefore we were not granted access.

It felt like you stepped away from the busy chaos of the city into luxury with very welcoming and lovely staff and who went over and above. There’s nothing we didn’t like! The only feedback I’d say would be diversity of the complimentary mini fridge we had in our room, maybe one beer and one mini wine would have been good instead of two beers. Just so that both parties have an option if not beer drinkers.

Im.Zimmer war 1 altes Beistelltisch und es war voll Flecken und war schon voll Spuren und Kratzer. Das hat das Bild von ganzen Zimmer schlechter gemacht Frühstück sehr einseitig und Service etwas unfreundlich. Wir haben Dinner gebucht, weil auf dem Menükarte Lammfleisch war. Leider waren die schon früh am Abend ausverkauft, obwohl kaum Gäste im Restaurant war. .

• Oliluna11 (10/5): Lovely decor and staff - What a lovely hotel Dakota Glasgow is. The staff were all so welcoming and the hotel itself is beautifully decorated throughout. A special mention to the member of staff on the front desk this morning (Tuesday 21st April). I asked about the décor and she went out of her way to find the exact name of the paint for me — such a small thing but it really made a difference. Little touches like that don’t go unnoticed. Will absolutely stay again

Spacious well-appointed rooms, grand comfort, hushed ambiance, sleek yet warm and inviting design. Sparkling clean! Cocktails at the bar were top notch. A special mention for the receptionist Kseniia who really understands the meaning of hospitality and making an excellent first impression: such a warm welcome, proactive in anticipating guests’ needs, amiable, professional ! Thank you, it makes a difference!

Bar staff; Skilled and knowledgeable, treats you like a gentleman/lady. Service is 10/10 Even the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful with accommodation our needs.

• Paddy (10/5): - The full experience was great That the room temperature wasnt low enough for my comfort. Think the lowest it could be set was 19°c or 17°c which was uncomfortable and made no difference to it being turned off.

• N8081BBmarkb (10/5): Smoking lounge - Had an amazing experience at Dakota Hotel Glasgow, but I have to give a special shoutout to the smoking lounge—it’s easily one of the best spots in the hotel. The atmosphere is relaxed, stylish, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to unwind. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design and vibe. Huge appreciation to Dan as well, who really made the experience even better. He went out of his way to help us and made sure everything was spot on. That kind of service doesn’t go unnoticed. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow.
