- Nita (9/5): Overnight at The Oxley Estate - I loved how fresh and modern everything felt. And the bed was so comfortable with different pillow densities for differing needs. Lovely linen. The spa bath was a great size. Huge shower. Decent sized bathroom. And a pool! Unfortunately, we didn't get to use it though. The room felt very cramped. And I hadn't understood from the booking process that it's basically a fancy motel style set up, but with the doors to the rooms all inside a locked hallway. I thought we had a self-contained unit. The noise from other people's showers was so loud in the walls that it woke my wife up really early after we'd had a very late night. It was also more than I probably would've wanted to spend for a motel room for one night ($280), but this wouldn't stop me staying here again, as there aren't as many nice, affordable options in the direct area.

- david (1/5): Terrible, not worth the money - Clean & Tidy Bed was so bad, lumpy and uncomfortable after both my partner and I woke up several times through to 12.30am after going to bed at 10.00pm, we left and drove back to Melbourne deflated and defeated.
- Simpson (8/5): - We had just one night here in a studio and really liked it. Really spacious, nice modern furnishings, super comfy bed, huge bathroom. There is a communal kitchenette area too. There is an assortment of rooms across 3/4 adjacent buildings on the owners property. It's a semi rural location only a 5 min drive from gorgeous Portarlington. The golf club is across the road and a great place for a casual drink or a bistro meal. If you are exploring the Bellarine then it's a winner. Happy to recommend. One minor irritation was the shower head couldn't be adjusted vertically in our room and was too low. Fortunately it could be hand held. But don't let that put you off.
- Alexandra (6/5): Very clean, attractive accommodation, but some areas could be improved for a more enjoyable stay - The unit was exceptionally clean and visually attractive. The pool was also very clean and a lovely environment to relax in. -Bunk bed made extremely loud squeaking noises whenever anyone moved on the bed, which woke up my children throughout the night, resulting in us all being very tired the next day! -I emailed in advance to seek permission to have a third child in the room with us. The lady who I emailed with was very accommodating and helpful. However when we arrived we were greeted by a man who seemed to be unaware of this prior arrangement and quite put out by it. It felt stressful rather than welcoming. -My kids were excited to interact with the farm animals, however we were only able to pat some donkeys as the other paddocks didn't seem to be accessible from where the accommodation was. If they are accessible, it would have been great to have someone explain this to us. -There was a dead bird in the play equipment which scared my kids. -The 'mini golf' is just one small hole, with one golf stick available and no balls - recommend not advertising it as mini golf as we were imagining at least three or four holes to aim for. -For four star accommodation, we would expect a pod machine or other coffee option, rather than instant coffee sachets. We had to go and buy coffee instead.

The shower head did not sit properly in the holder , by the time we worked out we had to constantly hold it, to shower, our floor was soaking wet!! created a slip hazard. I wasnt informed when booking that we would be inside a private residence with a hallway and additional glassdoor to enter , so in the morning quite a few guests left noisily interrupting our sleep :( Especially when we are told we had to be super quiet as we were arriving at 10 pm :(

- Janet (8/5): - Really loved the comfortable bed! Our room was spotlessly clean. Enjoyed having a spa. We found that water from the shower (no door) made the bathroom floor very wet and slippery.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

- Christiansson (9/5): - Super clean nice comfortable couch, nice ambiance. Love the donkeys and Lamas.Good lights outside There wasn't a soap or dispenser dish in the shower which made it difficult to shower properly. Electric blankets would have been nice.
- Philip (5/5): Disappointing for what we paid. - Given the problems listed below, we were fortunate that there were not others staying in our section. There was an emphasis on elegance not practicality. Arriving at night the signage was not lit and was difficult to see. Coming from Indented Head the sign is obscured by a tree. There was no light to assist us open the key safe. The room was small. This reduced the furniture that was available for use. Little things like no cloth to wipe down the kitchen bench and no cloth or brush wash up dishes with. The detergent was as weak as water - literally. The main towels in the room were small. The wifi was lacking. The room was noisy at night when there was a wind blowing due to loose items in the garden. Advertising did not make it clear that it was a shared kitchenette out in another room. Had to waste a lot of water to get the hot water to come hot. The shower, not having a door, meant that water seeped across the floor to around the toilet. This made the floor dangerous. Nothing to mop this up with.

- Venus (10/5): Comfortable stay with friendly staff - Quiet and great location. Friendly staff. New modern décor with a comfortable bed. A swimming pool, outdoor giant chess set, mini golf, children's playground and farm animals are great. Everyone in the family enjoyed our stay. We were all very happy to be there. The air conditioner is a bit weak. Coat hangers near the front door would be useful. Curtains will be great for light blocking in summer time.

- Peter (8/5): - The room was modern and well presented. In our opinion two things needed service. The air conditioning was not working well. We had the temperature control on maximum but the room was still not warm enough. The other thing that needed attention was the refrigerator. It was very iced up and although the control was at maximum the contents were not well chilled.
- Viki (8/5): - Nice spot, short drive in to town or St Leonards. The farm animals are a great addition. The owner is lovely. Repeat customers. Will be back again. Tip; would be nice to have a continental breakfast for all stays! Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

- Gloria (10/5): Great Hosts - Pauline was very welcoming. The room was very clean. A little cramped but fine for our two night stay. We found the shower temperature hard to regulate on this occasion very convenient to the Golf Club.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and comfortable - Overnight stay whilst staying in Portarlington. Very convenient if you are wanting to play at the golf course and only a hurt drive to the town centre and sea front. Lodge owner contacted me on day of arrival to confirm check in time and advised they would leave key in a safe place due to my arrival time, which was good of them. Room Was very clean and tidy, so no complaints.
- Steven (10/5): - A wonderful respite that is impressively up to date. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Great coffee in the morning and easy access to town.
