Guest Reviews
- Tyanna (4/5): - Waem shower Everythibh room dirty
- Karen (8/5): -
- Steven (3/5): Nooit weer - Schoon bed Wc spoelde niet, erg vies, geen water uit de douche, geen ontbijt
- Sonny (9/5): -
- Douglas (10/5): - I stay here whenever I am in Gillette. Great people.
- Dai (6/5): - it's ok
- Mary Ellen (8/5): -
- Lisa (6/5): - Separate entrance for railroad employees but nothing directing you to public guest entrance. Air conditioning unit extremely loud when it came on, woke us up every time it came on. Remote had dead batteries. Alarm clock did not work. Staff not very friendly. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, ironing supplies and hair dryer all available.
- Julie (10/5): - Very clean ,staff pleasant, it's all you need for a comfortable night .very pleased with my stay
- Ronald (8/5): -
- Brandi (10/5): Outdated but clean and comfortable - The building is old and definitely smells like it. The furniture in the rooms is somewhat stained and outdated. The shower floor was stained. The carpet could use to be replaced. BUT...
The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Our room was quiet and clean, and we slept well. The hotel is old enough that the room doors are those old heavy fire doors and very solid-a huge plus!!
Breakfast would be a nice added touch. I would absolutely stay here again!
- Cathy (8/5): - Cleanest Not enough towels
- Doris (10/5): -
- Ling (10/5): - 廁所馬桶是髒的
- rjou319 (8/5): Eh, made it through the night - The evening front desk clerk was extremely helpful. When asked if the rooms were decent, she said they're clean but just old. I appreciated her candidness which was right on the mark. She checked us in while helping a directionally challenged potential guest navigate his way to the hotel. Furniture was goofy and mismatched, shower was a stall and rather small, bed was uncomfortable at best.
- Cory (6/5): - Room was nice and clean but there isn’t a gym. Only reason I booked this hotel was because the pictures online showed there was a gym on the property.
- Katherine (9/5): Superb -
- Christina (1/5): I did not stay - When I pulled up to check in at 10:30 pm for one does not look like a Travelodge I would not even get out of my car All of it
- Dave (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (8/5): Comfortable and clean reception not so good. - Most of the stay was good. Room was clean and comfortable. The part that was not so great was the check in. The gentleman be hind the desk was not friendly at all. He didn't even stand up to great us. He seemed upset that the card I reserved the room under had previously been cancelled due to a fraued issue that I had.
- Karen (8/5): - This is a standard motel, nothing remarkable. Built like box, long hallways, all one level, no decorations, very sterile and institutional. Ok for a one night stop on a road trip.
- Zeke (8/5): - Coffee was bad
- Jeffrey (8/5): - A good motel for a nights sleep after a long drive.
- Jody (8/5): - ‘Pet Friendly’ means a $40 non refundable fee. No breakfast offered.
- Susan (8/5): - Good for overnight stay. Room small with very small tub and toilet area. Front desk staff helpful. Would recommend.
- Rosemarie (8/5): Very good -
- Sandi (9/5): Well Worth the Price - The room was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bedding was crisp and clean. The towels were bright white and fluffy.
It was very quiet, and provided a place for a good night's rest. The toilet seat hit the door of the bathroom, which made navigating entrance and exit to the restroom a little precarious.
I filled out the pre-check-in through a text message that was sent to me, but then I was asked to fill out a paper copy upon arrival. Rather than making it convenient, the digital check- in seemed like extra work and a waste of my time.
- Jerome (9/5): Good value -
- Janine (9/5): Superb - Very friendly & welcoming A pet friendly hotel with no designated pet area
- Casey M (8/5): - Perfect for a quick stop on the cross country drive.
- nancy (8/5): - The property and staff were friendly
- yanelyc2021 (10/5): Great service - Great service. We were able to check out earlier than we had to at no additional cost.
Only issue we had was getting inside the bathroom with the door hitting the toilet seat. Other than that, very clean amenities and friendly staff. Will stay here again.
- indysdayouth (10/5): Travelodge Gillette Trip - This has been a great trip and I can't say enough about how great they are. Staff and Manager are wonderful people.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (8/5): - Room was pretty clean. The bathroom was a bit dirty. Great customer service. They didn't have breakfast but they did give us a coupon to Perkins!
- richardsP1340AH (2/5): Not a good nights rest! - We booked a nights stay online. When we got to the hotel the front desk clerk was less than friendly. Later that night on turning down the beds, one was found to be full of hair and stains. The other bed was just as bad and even had dirty tissue in it. We called the desk to try to get a clean room and was told there was none available. All they offered was clean sheets. So We changed the bed sheets ourselves because it was too late to find another hotel. In the morning on check out I also told the staff of the cleaning problem. later that day I got a call from the assistant manager who said we would not be charged for the nights stay. After several calls and even involving the booking agent, as of a month and a half later, no refund.
Over all the the hotel was run down and dirty. The staff could care less about the people staying there. Be aware this hotel has a contract with the railroad company and their workers are dirty.
- Gloria (10/5): Very pleased with everything. I would definitely stay there again. - Location, clean, comfortable bed, working A/C. Staff very nice and helpful. Affordable. No complaints
- Peggy (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel didn't have breakfast, but did give us a discount at Perkins.
- Linnea (10/5): - Loved that it was close to the shopping district. Friendly staff! It was amazing!
- Linnea (10/5): - Allowed for us to extend our stay another night without issues! Awesome and helpful staff!
- Rodney (10/5): - The room was very comfortable, and clean. The employees were great. We will stay there again for sure. Not a fancy room, but very comfortable.
- Daniel (2/5): After I got settled into a room that worked after the 3rd room the bed was like a taco after a 16hr - I got transferred 3 rooms because of faulty issues. I had to roll 3 back packs and roller bag with a dog 3 times up and down stairs Piss poor maintenance
- Lance (4/5): - Very thin walls. You can hear conversations in next room. Water pressure is so low that shower only works sometimes.
- Constance (9/5): Superb - The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but a good one night stay on a road trip.
They gave us a discount card for a local breakfast diner so that was nice. Room was quiet. Nothing wrong with the hotel. Just not as much services as other hotels.
- Robert (8/5): - The log in book for the hotel’s employees was sprawled out on the front counter where guests check in. It was inappropriate, tacky, and probably not very secure for the hotel. The desk area behind the counter was quite a mess as well. My room was clean and comfortable so I still rate it a 4 but the check in counter needs a bit of professional attention!
- Todd (9/5): Superb - Clean and staff was pleasant. None
- Kathleen (8/5): I would stay there again. - Nice location, quiet, very comfortable, clean and office staff very friendly. Water pressure in shower not very good.
- Norman (8/5): - Great
- STEPHANIE (8/5): - It's an older hotel and not as fancy as some of the ones around it, but you can't beat the price, and the staff was nice. The room was plain but well kept and clean. Plenty of shampoo and conditioner and comfy beds. Dog approved as well:). Looking forward to staying on our way back through.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Services lacking - It was okay. Comments by the gentleman that checked us in were weird and inappropriate for a mother daughter staying by themselves. We never received any cleaning service in 4 days so had to take out our own garbage etc. The room was okay though.
- Bethany (6/5): - Air conditioner broken, keys get turned off by proximity to cell phones.
- Kelly (8/5): - The property needs an elevator!
Or it needs to mention that there are no elevators in the details. Also didn't like a toilet that is very stained and has no seat cover. The shower floor was also stained & looked dirty.
But with that said it was & quiet & mostly clean & comfortable.
- Maital (4/5): Miserable night. - The hotel needs some repairs. The AC didn’t work… we called and they gave us instructions to restart it but it didn’t help and we had to give up bc it was late and had two kids that needed to sleep. But it was miserable. Also needs new carpet bc there were a lot of places we didn’t want to step. The bathroom door didn’t close bc the toilet blocked it. It was really not a comfortable stay esp for the price.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Satchia (4/5): - Rooms were cold, temp couldn't be adjusted, unit kept blowing cold air until I finally unplugged it the second night. Blankets on bed were super thin, even doubled over we were very cold. Winter in Wyoming, room should have been able to be heated and had warmer blankets.
- Mary (6/5): - Honestly this place is nothing special. Beds were extremely soft but comfortable ish. For the price of it they should have breakfast available but they don’t. If you’re just passing through like we were it’s a good option.
- Julie (8/5): Enjoyed our stay in Gillette! - Very nice place to stay, would definitely stay there again.Location was close to everything
- Jon (10/5): Gillette Wy - Great trip. Great service. Good hands at the front desk.
- Mercier (9/5): Superb - Better parking
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shiraz (7/5): Good -
- Glen (2/5): Do not recommend - Booked the room arrived to a no vacancy. Hotel desk said they overbooked had to spend an hour on the phone to get a refund from Hotels.com because room was booked with no refund plus had to find another place to stay!! Almost no worth booking ahead so much for technology when you have incompetent people working at this hotel
- Cathy (10/5): - Good value for the money very clean in an area with lots of restaurants
- Kathleen (6/5): - Average.
- Ron (8/5): Not too bad. - This hotel was pretty average, not so bad but nothing to make it great. There wasn't enough parking and there wasn't any breakfast provided, though they offered a coupon to a local restaurant. Staff was friendly. It was affordable which made it ok.
- Feliciano (10/5): - Nice stay, clean
- Greg (8/5): National Park tour - I was doing a National Park tour and found this hotel in the direction of my next destination. The room was clean and quiet. I was very satisfied.
- veraasd (6/5): It will do - You get what you pay for. The room was fine. I had a room with 2 queen beds. The hotel itself looks like a motel (single floor) but it’s not. The hotel and the room smells but that’s cause of the carpet. The washroom is tight. The tub floor can be replaced/cleaned/reglazed but bring flip flops you can wear in the shower. The lighting in the room is dim. The room itself is fine. It’s surrounded by many other more expensive hotels but this will do if you’re not picky. Bring a pillow case and a flat sheet or blanket and you’ll be fine. No breakfast so you get 20 off at Perkins nearby but their food is blah.
- Susan (5/5): Passable -
- Brian (10/5): - Easily accessible from the interstate.
- MIGUEL (8/5): - Nice hotel, clean, nice location.
- Michael (8/5): Great value for $ - Room was very comfortable and the actual POT for coffee was an added bonus -- I could have more than 1 cup! :-) The room was exceptionally quiet -- a very nice added bonus and greatly appreciated. Only got to stay 1 night.
- Irwin (10/5): - The property was well maintained and very quiet. It is in a location that is very accessible to many eating and shopping establishments.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - It was close to the interstate. Convenience means a lot.
- Brian (10/5): - The discount card for dining was wonderful, even better if I had remembered to use it. Obviously not your fault.
- Keri (7/5): This is a good spot if you’re on a budget. They do allow pets do consider that if you have allergies - Modern, quiet, had a ceiling fan which was great for sleeping without the noise of the a/c unit. The staff was kind and allowed for early check in. The room smelled like the previous guest’s dinner, the bathroom was so small the door almost touched the toilet when swinging closed.
- Dana (8/5): - Pleasant stay. Well located for dining and shopping. Ceiling fan was an excellent bonus!!
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Jeff (5/5): Clean but no elevator - Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. No elevator, had to lug our stuff, and a roll-a-way bed up the stairs.
- Catherine (3/5): Overall, I would not recommend staying here due to the dirty, unkept rooms. - Location was close to a lot of restaurants and stores. Seemed like a safe, decent area. Rooms are not thoroughly cleaned. The 1st room I was given smelled like mildew, was damp on the carpet by the bathroom, had a layer of dust on appliances, hair in the fridge, trash under the bed, etc... I politely asked to be switched to a new room, and my 2nd room was still dirty. Toilets, tubs, sinks are stained. Counters had hair from previous guests. More trash was found behind the couch. Staff could also smile a little more or act like they care. Didn't get any empathy or apology either when I informed the employee about the unclean room.
- Barbara (8/5): Very good -
- Vicki (10/5): - Clean and quiet.
- Emily (7/5): Nice hotel if you aren’t handicapped - The room was nice, the shower had a built in bench, the downstairs had an ice machine. They didn’t answer their phone when we had it on redial for 4 hours. They don’t have an elevator. They were unable to accommodate our online or in person request for handicap accessible room. My Mom had to sleep in the car. Another guest offered us their main floor “king” room but it was only a double bed, and of course had no handrails.
- Mark (8/5): - Nice staff, nice facilities.
- Dawn (7/5): Good -
- Eileen (8/5): - Person working at the desk had an attitude when I told her I was disabled and could not walk up the stairs to a room on the second floor
- Tracie (8/5): Very good - Super clean, quiet, and comfortable. Discount at nearby Denny's offered for stay since breakfast was not provided.
- Dennis (2/5): - Called and told me they were full. Looked on website a day after and noticed two rooms available.
- Tamra (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very nice and friendly and helped me when my car broke down. It is also a nice location near a lot of restaurants and stores.
- Rita (10/5): - I loved having a lounge chair with a footstool after a long drive.
- Linda (10/5): - Can’t say enough about the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Also the in-room coffee provided was top notch!
- chuckywhiskers17 (6/5): Not bad. Not great. - Nothing fancy or special. It doesn't have any crazy amenities or any fancy perks. It seemed clean and well-kept. No breakfast on-site. Prices were higher than advertised. It was a place to get out of the hail storm.
- Roger (8/5): - Nice, clean and comfortable room. Easy check in. Good value for price.
- Meaghan (7/5): Pleasantly surprised - The rooms were really nice for the price. And for once we were glad to have a decent sized garbage can. We reserved two rooms and one of the bathrooms had that pink mildew on it. The other bathroom was sparkly clean. Unfortunately that was the one bad thing about our stay.
- Alex (6/5): Needs to do better.. - The positive is that for an older hotel this was cleaner then I expected.
The bed was comfortable but only one thin blanket is given.
There is separate treatment at this hotel if you book third party. I requested an early check in and was told no because I booked through Hotels.com. After I voiced my concerns about the difference in treatment the woman on the phone agreed to let me come an hour earlier.
When I got to the hotel the receptionist informed me that was what the manager wanted.
Not good business since they are choosing to allow bookings and they are getting paid.
Had it not been for this manager’s decision to separate third party bookings from direct booking I may have considered this place for my trip back in two months but I will not return.
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (10/5): - This hotel serves a great many "repeat customers," so it has the art of responding to individual requests down pat. During our month-long travel experience with increased demand on facilities, many are struggling to meet the needs of the traveling public - not so in this gem. The staff listens and responds to your every request. It may be missing some of the 'bells and whistles' of more expensive options, however it more than compensates for any perceived 'deficiencies' by cheerfully providing top-notch service and a laid-back but efficient staff who go out of their way to make the weary traveler comfortable. Grab the next available room and see for yourself!
- Chao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meric (10/5): - Nice and afforable.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Staff was great
