• Mary (10/5): A gem next to the highway. - The Plaza in is an old hotel but in perfect condition. Our room was large even with a king size bed. There was a sofa and chair so you didn’t have to sit on the bed. Our check in went smoothly. When we left the next morning we had to change our plans and go to a different place. The owner printed out directions that we could easily follow. Really when was the last time you went to hotel and they helped like that? I will make this my hotel stop when I travel through Springfield again. Nothing, it was perfect, even the bed.

It needed some defiant TLC and updating tho and new paint and something to make the room smell better . They had no soaps give you one washcloth and towel no basic essentials like usually, no coffee bar and the linens very outdated.not good bed either. But what you expect for the price .people we’re ok.

• wright (8/5): Just one night but it was reasonable and easy to locate. - The motel was a older motel but reconditioned. Our room was very clean, quiet and had a good king size bed, refrigerator and nice bathroom. I would stay again if traveling through there.

• Will (1/5): Rude, scammy, and smelt bad. - Checkout lady was nice enough. Bed was comfortable. The guy who I checked in with was incredibly rude and extremely hard to understand. They required a 50$ deposit in cash (did not accept card), and allowed no guests in the room. The room itself smelt terrible and seemed to be falling apart. Stay AWAY if you can avoid it.

• Erika (7/5): Short and cheap enough for one night. - The bed was comfy The staff seemed uptight, they asked for an unexpected 20 deposit I luckly had on me and pretty much said don't party in your room and you'll get it back. I was there for an appointment and am pregnant. I was a little upset when they mentioned doing checks before giving the deposit back.

• McCrory (8/5): Good Budget Motel to use at Springfield MO - My bed was very comfortable. I was able to put my car right in front of my room since the room door did open to the outside. This makes it easier to get stuff in and out of the room as a traveler on a cane! The owner also made a fresh pot of coffee so I could fill my travel cup with hot coffee before I left. I plan to use this motel again during my trip return at the end of this week for a night! The hot water could be a little warmer for my shower. But, otherwise it was a great budget traveler find.

It was a little hard to find the way in even though you could see it from the highway. Th room opens straight on the parking lot, but that is. Normal for a place this cheap. My reservation was inexplicably canceled at the last minute, but I called and she straightened it out right away.

• Amanda nunes (10/5): Excelente! - Gostei bastante do hotel. Fomos super bem recepcionados. O quarto estava muito limpo. A cama confortável e lençóis limpissimos. Tinha geladeira, micro-ondas, TV. Banheiro com banheira, tudo muito limpo. Localização excelente, até para mulheres correrem sozinhas. Só tivemos um problema com o quarto na chegada. O funcionario pediu para trocarmos de quarto porque, segundo ele, o quarto não estaria limpo - apesar de estar - e nos alterou para um quarto que fedia cigarro. Tivemos que insistir para que ele alterasse o quarto, porque segundo ele estaríamos enganados, mas, apesar disso, ele nos trocou para outro quarto que estava excelente. Isso foi apenas um detalhe mesmo, porque o funcionário foi super receptivo.

• Webb (1/5): Do NOT stay here!!! - There was nothing I liked about the motel. There was a bathroom fan that looked like it was about to fall from the ceiling. You can see the creases in the wall from the sheet panels being put up. The tv didn’t work and the internet didn’t work half the time. The heater started not to work properly and the room would get really cold, while the heat was turned to 78. Seen two roaches, one in the bathroom and the other was found right before we left in the bed. The lady working was very rude and stared hatefully whenever turning into the property.

• Kasey (1/5): Shady management, surprise fees. - It was afforable and close to the fairgrounds. The room had a microwave and fridge. All the basics were covered. They refused to acknowledge I would be traveling with a medical alert, even after I sent them a courtesy notice. They said I had to provide a $50 pet deposit and certification papers (which don't exist in the USA), in complete violation of ADA guidelines. Rather than deal with the headache, I traveled without my service dog. They emailed and called me multiple times when I didn't check in by 8:30 pm and threatened to cancel my prepaid reservation. In the service dog conversation, I asked if they could allow an early check-in at noon. They said no (valid and I didn't argue), but were rude about it. This was the basis of their threatening to cancel my reservation, stating that they told me I could check in early and I had an obligation to be there. I did get an email at some point the day of saying I could check in at 2pm instead of 4pm. I get there and they are nice enough through the interaction. I say I am not traveling with my service dog (they were skeptical even though they could see inside my car). They tried to charge me a $50 cash deposit, then said "We can do a $20 cash deposit, or whatever you can do." At this point, I was prepared to just sleep in my car, so I told them no it was not in the booking info. They said they emailed it to me, but it was only in conjunction with their unlawful mandates for service dog deposits. They "waived" the cash deposit, but switched me from my ADA non-smoking king room to a 2nd floor double. I was tired and just dealt with it. Thankfully I didn't need my wheelchair on this trip. When I turned in the key the next morning, the clerk didn't even try to check if they needed to give me back a deposit, which confirmed my suspicions. Room smelled bad, bathroom was stained, and the walls are thin. If it wasn't for the threats to cancel my reservation, ADA violations, and surprise cash deposits, I would have just accepted it was a cheap room and moved on.

She offered us a room as close to where we had parked as possible. We are also older, so the room was on the first floor. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable and air conditioner blew as cold as anyone could want(and we like it pretty cool).

The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and equipped with all the modern amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect—conveniently close to local attractions and dining options. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with a great variety to start the day right. I’d highly recommend this motel to anyone visiting Springfield—fantastic value and a truly delightful experience!
