• ZanetaViz (2/5): Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience - Due to a complete suspension of flights to the country, we were physically unable to arrive for our planned stay — a situation entirely outside our control. Yet the hotel never replied to any of our messages. Not a single one. They also ignored the inquiry submitted by Booking.com on our behalf. This level of disrespect toward guests is shocking. Any professional accommodation would offer a date change (even for much later) or at least a partial refund, including for prepaid meals we obviously could not use. Instead, the hotel chose total silence — no response, no assistance, no empathy. This has been one of the most rude and dismissive customer service experiences I have ever had. We will absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I strongly advise future travellers to think twice before booking. When something goes wrong, this hotel clearly won’t lift a finger to help you.
• faisalna (2/5): Deeply disappointing and misleading – far below advertised standards - Deeply disappointing and misleading – far below advertised standards This hotel is advertised as a 5-star property, yet the experience was shockingly below even basic hotel standards. There is a reason why a prominent hospitality group pulled out from this property leaving it not worthy of 1 star. Check-in was delayed, and although an extra bed was requested at check-in, it took over four hours and 7 phone calls to arrive. By that time, our children were exhausted stressed and unable to sleep properly. The room was extremely unclean. We found leftover socks from a previous guest, hair, grime, heavy dust, and visible mold. The room also had a strong smoke odor, making it very uncomfortable and difficult to rest. To make matters worse, staff knocked on our door repeatedly at around 3:00 AM to deliver water bottles that had been requested at 5pm, disrupting what little sleep we managed to get. Breakfast the following morning was equally disappointing. The selection was very limited and of poor quality — nowhere near what one would expect from a hotel claiming to be 5-star. Not even a camp can motel would offer this breakfast. In an attempt to resolve the situation, we agreed to change rooms on the second night, hoping conditions would improve. Unfortunately, the second room was even worse, particularly in terms of odor and cleanliness. At that point, we had no choice but to leave the hotel 6 days earlier than planned. Despite acknowledging the issues, hotel management offered no meaningful apology or compensation and still charged us for the stay. Special shout out to Mr Ahmad the acting GM and Mr Haseeb the manager for acting absolutely crippled in this situation. This property is seriously misrepresented and does not deliver the standards it advertises. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend it and would strongly advise travelers to look elsewhere.

• oussamae973 (10/5): The best avenue hotel - Overall, the hotel is amazing — the room was excellent, and most of the staff were incredibly professional and welcoming. I especially want to highlight the gentleman who assisted me during check-in; he was extremely professional, attentive, and made the process very smooth. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but his service was truly appreciated. However, I would like to mention a few concerns. A lady in a black uniform was not professional in the way she spoke to guests, which was disappointing and did not reflect the otherwise high standards of the hotel. In addition, the elevator was not working during my stay, which was inconvenient. I had also requested a turndown service when I left my room at 4:00 PM, but when I returned at 2:00 AM, it appeared that the turndown service was not carried out as expected, even though the room had been cleaned. Despite these issues, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and appreciate the overall quality of the hotel. I hope my feedback helps in further improving the guest experience.

When we arrived, the room was not ready — the bed wasn’t made, and the bathroom had been used by someone before us. The elevator was out of order, so we had to walk up to the second floor. At 5 AM, staff woke us up because they confused our room with someone else’s and brought a Talabat delivery to the wrong door. Then at 10 AM, the fire alarm went off, and we were told to evacuate, only to find out later it was a false alarm. Overall — terrible service, dirty room, zero organization. Never staying at Avenue Hotel Doha again.

• abdullaa344 (2/5): Scam Booking – Avoid This Hotel at all cost - I booked a room at 12:07 AM and got a welcome message at 12:23 AM saying they were expecting me. I arrived at 1:00 AM, and they told me they had no rooms! Even worse, the night supervisor said a suite was available, but the manager (who was at home!) refused to speak with me and lied that it was booked. This is pure mismanagement and disrespect. Why accept bookings if you’re full? Wasted my time, ruined my night. Absolutely unacceptable. Never again.

I've been in 3 star properties with better facilities - Room fittings were worn and broken - Window handles, sockets - TV and fridge weren't working! - The gym is just a small room with a few treadmills and a very limited weights station, most of it under maintenance. - The pool is alright, but there was only 1 shower room, and no changing room - Not much in terms of shops or restaurants nearby. - The in-house restaurant for the breakfast is actually a conference room. - Only three small elevators, one of which was out of order

• Mhd (4/5): Management ethos is Cost Cutting! Very disappointing. - The only redeeming thing about this hotel is the staff, who really try their best to make their guests happy. A special mention to Mr Mehdi and Mr Tahseen who were super kind and professional, Fadel and the security/service crew and the breakfast crew. It is obvious that the hotel management ethos is cost cutting at the expense of everything else, from the super rundown rooms, bathrooms, facilities, breakfast all the way to the elevators. To be more specific, the bathroom drains clog often, the shower handle fell off, the rain shower is super dirty and clogged, floors were scratched, the TV is achingly old and barely works, and if you dare look under the bed you will see years of dust untouched. The breakfast was a collection of the cheapest possible items, from the bread, to the vegetables, cheese and the cooked items, everything looked and tasted like it was selected with "cheapest" in mind. At least one elevator was always switched off (out of three), and on busy days the wait is so significant you need to plan it as part of your trip. Maybe this was a 5-star hotel in the very distant past, but today, It would be kind to give it 2 stars
