- Chris (6/5): - I liked the decorations in the room. No elevator. Website says it serves breakfast as does the 3-ring binder in the room, but there is NO breakfast service. The floors were slanted and my suitcase rolled across the floor with no help. Shower head height was fine for me, but not for my husband at all.
- Kevin (6/5): - Westport New York is a beautiful little lakefront town. It’s an old Inn that had been renovated a while ago. The bathrooms were modern, clean and nice! The beds were old with wore out mattresses. That was my only complaint. We stayed two nights and my back is still bothering me a week later.

- Anton (10/5): - It’s a cute little house in the center of the town, some of the room provides lake view. The room has high ceiling, but one downside is there’s no blackout curtain and the lake view is facing east with bright light in the morning. Self service coffee in the hallway.(could be a bit disturbing in the morning when people are making coffee right outside your door.) We saw the host at check in then everything else you just handle yourself, very easy. The room is very clean, Antony is very friendly to introduce the property and also gave recommendation for restaurants.

- Cason Paul (10/5): - Beautiful bed and breakfast type Inn in a quaint little town. The owners make you feel like family and are so welcoming. Adorable store on first floor as well! Cute shops and a few restaurants within walking distance. Also check out The Depot Theater - amazing entertainment!
- James (10/5): A well appointed and charming Inn! - The Inn was quite charming! The staff and owner were extremely helpful and made our visit to the Lake Champlain area a success! It was great returning each night to the Inn after long days of seeing the sites!

Will definitely come back and highly recommend. The most comfortable bed in the Oscar Wilde Room, had best two nights sleep ever!

- Lisa (10/5): - Lovely Inn in a quaint town. Friendly staff, quiet and clean. Fun to browse the attached bookstore/ coffee shop. Breakfast is basic continental. I stayed in the room with the lake view but lake is 1,000 feet away with the main road through town in between. Very nice room though. Horses and carriages in town add to the character!

- Peter (10/5): - It is a beautiful place to be away from home; the rooms as well as the common areas, comfortable and full of exquisite yet unpretentious detail in decor and appointments, designed by the charming innkeeper, Alexandra. The incredible book store feels like a welcoming library and there is an excellent coffee bar to go with it! There is also a shop of intriguing esoterica and a wonderful gallery of provocative art, also created by Alexandra. If you want to see the beauty of Lake Champlain, this creation of beauty is the place to stay!
- Nicholas (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay at the inn at Westport. The owners husband/ wife were great down to earth easy to talk to people. We loved our morning conversations and appreciated the time. Room was cute and clean loved the reading nook over looking the park. Shower had great pressure compaired to other places we've stayed including some corporation. There where 3-4 restaurants in walking distance the public beach was across the street. The coffee shop on the first floor was very convenient in the morning and for mid afternoon pick me up. We love the soft frsh baked cookies!! The inn was conveniently in the middle of all our destinations for the long weekend so ruffly 30 minutes to each adventure.
- diedre (10/5): - Liked: friendly welcome, comfortable bed, cleanliness, breakfast was included, the innkeeper made us fancy coffee as a way to make up for the fact that a neighbor's car had an alarm go off during the night. She said this never happens. I live in Manhattan so I tuned it out but my boyfriend could not sleep. I was delighted with the good coffee. I had a keurig maxwell house cup earlier. BIG difference, although I was glad I was able to make myself a cup of coffee early in the morning. Also the innkeeper lent me sunblock and gave me trail maps. She couldn't have been nicer. And I LOVED her bookstore. Disliked: decorating in the Oscar Wilde room

- Leslie (10/5): - I really enjoyed the Inn, the building is 180 /- years old, and I like it's history. The main floor has a coffee shop, book store, art gallery and a variety of hand crafted goodies all for sale. There are lovely nooks and cozy corners for reading and chatting. My room was clean and comfortable. Alexandra, the Inn keeper was wonderful and accommodating. My stay was perfect.
- Mike (10/5): Wonderful stay - Rather surprised that we were the only reservation on a Holiday. The place was remodeled in 2005 and has been well maintained since. The only real drawback is that there are few good dining choices in the area. Beyond that, itis a scenic little town with a lot of history.

If we are in the area again we would certainly stay there again but would call ahead first to see if the matresses were replaced. Other than the matress, I loved this place!

The street noise was bothersome. Bed comfortable and room (Emily Dickinson) was nice. Very nice hosts who allowed us to store bikes in their locked shed.

- Todd (10/5): - Wow. What a job the new owners have done in transforming this building! This is by far the cutest, most charming B&B I’ve ever stayed at (and I’ve been to MANY in places like Seattle and San Francisco). The room was so inviting and cozy. We napped every day. The lake was a short walk away. The bookstore was the perfect place to meet up with friends. And most importantly, I was able to show my partner my hometown in the absolute best possible way. Making The Inn the epicenter of the visit meant that no matter where we went, we had a “home” to look forward to every day. A safe, beautiful space to relax, recharge, and more (wink wink). We were both just blown away by the stay. Absolutely fell in love with it. I’ll never stay anywhere else when I visit the Adirondacks.

- philip (2/5): - Will not return. Clerk assessed me a $100 "penalty" for having my 11-year old with my wife and me for one night of a four-night stay. Wouldn't have minded paying more but I did mind essentially being accused of dishonesty. Horrible customer service. I read "children welcome" in the terms but nothing about a "children welcome with $100 penalty and a lecture."

We had a 4 pm reservation but we arrived 3hrs early intending to seat out in our vehicle untill check-in time. To our pleasant surprise the gentlemen on duty checked us in. We stayed in the Marcel Proust room and were offered access to the bookstore downstairs as a common / sitting room. Nice touch to have a shared refigerator available as well as snacks & drinks for a small fee. Not much nearby but dinner recommendations worked just fine. Would stay again.

- David (10/5): - We loved the ambience of the Westport Inn. It's an old and very well-maintained inn that is furnished with quality furnishings. Each room is unique. The beds were very comfortable. There is a delightful bookstore that is part of the inn. It had comfy couches where you could sit and read on a rainy or snowy day. There is a beautiful little park right across the street, and the night we checked in there was a concert in the park's little ampitheater - a folk singer - and we could listen from our room. The inn sits on the main street that goes through town, so if you're sensitive to street noise at night, choose a room at the back of the inn. The only drawback is that the inn is in a tiny little town with not many dining options. However, the uniqueness and serenity of the inn made up for the short drive to a neighboring town for dinner. Continental breakfast was provided, and there were a couple patios with tables outside where you could sit and eat. The owners were very responsive when we had a need. I would definitely go back, and highly recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful getaway.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charming inn in the little town of Westport. Very homey and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. There is community music and movies at the local park all a block away from the lake. Highly recommend for a nice quiet long weekend in the Adirondacks.

We felt the morning breakfasts were rather spartan and lacking some basics (no juice, no variety day-to-day). Housekeeping never straightened our bed for three days, although they did change towels each day. Neither of these things affected our stay much - I'd stay here again - but we were surprised nonetheless.

The floors are slanted part of the uniqueness of staying in a 100 year old building. Community fridge in the hallway, different.

- Tara (8/5): Very quaint and friendly - The staff at the Inn were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was affordable and tasty. The Inn is very quaint and the book/author theme lovely. It is located a short walk from the shore of Lake Champlain. The biggest issue we had was that the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress bowed in the center and slanted due to the old floors. If we knew we could get good sleep we would be back in a heartbeat.

- Jan (8/5): Lovely old inn with friendly owners. - Booked in for the fourth time, we always stay here when visiting family in upstate New York. It is an old building so has the accompanying quirks; sloping floors, the occasional squeaky floorboard etc but it has charm, character, history and is always clean, comfortable and welcoming. Coffee is available every morning and tea (various) all day; snacks are available on an honesty system. There is an old bookstore downstairs and a guest lounge. They now serve breakfast and recommend places for dinner. Very friendly place and happy to recommend.

On street parking which doesn’t seem to be a problem in this town. Offers adequate breakfast to start your day. Restaurant not open for lunch or dinner but innkeeper provided good recommendation. Restaurant at marina “Wye” provided great choices and the views were excellent. Unfortunately restaurant at golf club was closed for private event but menu looked great. Our room was facing the back of the hotel. Room was clean but dark with little air circulation. Beds were soft with very nice towels to greet you after shower.
