Guest Reviews
- Peter (10/5): Best small hotel we've stayed at. - Probably the best small hotel we've stayed at! Recently refurbished and squeaky clean. Comfortable bed super big walk-in rain shower. Well cooked food. Lovely Bothy area for evenings with a pool table. Staff friendly. Lovely position overlooking Loch Earn. We will be back? Only suggestion, a 'holder' for the shower gel etc.
- Hunter (10/5): -
Ottimo pub ristorante e parcheggio ampio. Ottima la colazione.
- Elizabeth (8/5): -
- Colin (9/5): A beautiful place to visit and will probably return. - The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the Loch and surrounding hills. The staff were helpful and friendly and a good selection of drinks and hot food available at the bar downstairs. The bed was huge but a little squashy and lumpy, the pillows were hard.
- Wojciech (1/5): - No hot water in the morning.
- Melissa (8/5): -
- AMANDA (10/5): Great location, superb clean rooms, parking available, wonderful views of the loch. Would stay again - Room was lovely, clean and with a great view of the loch. Bathroom clean and shower hot. Evening meals & breakfast available with a good choice. We only stayed 1 night!
- Julia (9/5): -
- Bruce (9/5): Comfortable, friendly and convenient. - The room was comfortable and the location was good. Having the accommodation as part of the pub, serving good food and drinks, was very convenient. The staff were all friendly. The walls are not too soundproof, and the bathroom floor could use a mop.
- kathleen (8/5): Great spot - Great Location opposite the loch. Brilliant views out the window at the front. Rooms really clean and comfortable and well set up with various plugs on the desk for travellers. Really lovely, friendly, laid back staff and atmosphere. Tasty comfort food. Good variety of red wine too. Well stocked bar. Great breakfast with loch views. Dinner menu could have been a little bigger but what we had was really tasty.
- David (9/5): Great location lovely room and friendly staff. - Location and rooms. Light on tv was always on and bright during the night but only a little niggle as I am a light sleeper.
- Jack (8/5): good stay, nice staff and pub. just needs slightly better organisation/communication - nice and cosy room, good location a little unorganised as had to go through to bar to check in, and staff was unsure whether we had already payed for breakfast which could have ended up in is paying double
- Jayne (9/5): Lovely place to stay. - Comfortable bed and room. Good shower. Nice restaurant and bar on site. Welcoming staff. Nothing
- Marie (9/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): -
- Bernice (7/5): Had to cut our stay short due to unforeseen circumstances. On arrival no-one at reception to check us in had to go to ba - Location cleanliness Room very basic for the money paid and no breakfast included. Bed not very comfortable
- Richard (7/5): Great location - Comfortable and spacious room. Food in the restaurant was good. A shout out to the young man serving the food, friendly and helpful. Some of the fitments in the bathroom were loose, and the continental breakfast was limited in choice.
- Lisa (10/5): Perfect night away! - The property was in a stunning location, easy to find and the bar/restaurant was great the food was lovely & had a wide selection of drinks. The staff were so friendly & helpful from the minute we got there. The room was huge and spotless with a beautiful view of the Loch. We would definitely recommend and will stay again.

- Sandra (9/5): Excellent stay very welcoming, good food and company! - Location, views, atmosphere and staff Single beds a bit wobbly!
- Emily (10/5): - The hotel is situated next to a loch, the views are stunning, we were welcomed on arrival and after ordering some food, which was delicious, given our room keys and shown to our rooms, the rooms are simple yet clean and comfortable, the view from our room overlooked the loch, we stayed for a couple of nights as attending a family wedding, the surrounding areas are just as stunning, would I recommend yes I would.
- Julie (8/5): -
- Helsby (9/5): Nice overnight, not a chain hotel and all the better for ir. - Location, bar and staff. Nothing really, for an old building it had nice character and was well maintained.
- BRIAN (7/5): Excellent location, friendly staff good bar meals but ensuite a little tired looking - Breakfast ok Ensuite was a bit tired looking
- LaCosg (10/5): - Beautiful views and location, warm welcome, clean and modern hotel I honestly couldn't fault it, we had a wonderful trip
- Allison (9/5): A great opportunity to stay somewhere we have eaten at in the past - The room was clean and light. The view through the bedroom over Loch Earn was really good. It was awkward that the light and fan automatically started when you opened the bathroom door, I have to go to the bathroom during the night and they disturbed my husband.
- Steven (10/5): Great little hotel with friendly staff and great food. Highly recommended. - Lovely clean room in a quiet location with fabulous views across the loch. Lynn and the team made me so welcome during my stay and nothing was too much trouble. The service and food in the bar and restaurant were excellent. Nothing
- Chris (8/5): Made very welcome - Great location

- Jamie (9/5): Nice hotel in a great location, staff are all very helpful and pleasant. -
- Lori (8/5): Great waterfront place ! - Lakefront was beautiful. Ambiance great. Hard working and polite staff. Noisy in lake view rooms. Breakfast offerings didn’t seem great.
- Sally (10/5): Will stay again highly recommended - Lovely location ..clean ..excellent staff .bedrooms comfortable and very clean Nothing
- Keri (8/5): Stunning location - The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was delicious, and the sandwiches were well stuffed with fillings. The location is stunning with a private car park and views across the Loch. The mattress was stiff as a board, very uncomfortable. The room didn't have a wardrobe to hang clothes.
- Kerry (8/5): -
- Richard (10/5): -
- Beverley (8/5): Ideal stopover - Excellent location with great views. Ample parking. Room was located on the Loch side and the road very quiet during the night.
Staff were very friendly and check in was done at the bar. Simple explanation of all the timings and advice about menu.
Food was well presented and reasonably priced. The radiator wasn't working in the room so we were supplied with a heater. Room was a little dated but comfortable
- Susan (10/5): A last minute booking on our way back from Skye, looking to stay again in the future - Didn’t have breakfast only evening meal which was very nice and excellent value for money Nothing at all
- Ross (10/5): -
- christine (9/5): - Beautiful location our room overlooked the Loch and the mountains. Easy carparking at the front of the hotel. Very friendly helpful staff.
- Tom (10/5): - Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent and the views were stunning. A beautiful location right on the loch and a great place for a peaceful getaway.
- Steven (9/5): - Clean and comfortable with an incredible view over the loch. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing comes to mind
- Georgia (9/5): -
- Andrea (7/5): It is a great location and a nice hotel however not all is perfect - The place is in a great location, they have a pub and can provide food - considering the location it is a plus. The room is big enough, also the bathroom. We only stayed one night. However, if you are sensitive to noises, and suffer from headaches as me, I would recommend you book a room at the front looking at the road, which I guess could actually be quieter, and better than the ones looking at the back (to the so called 'garden'), because there is noise comming from the kitchen while food is being cooked. A fan type of noise, you hear it from the bathroom and everywhere in the room. We had to wait until they stopped cooking to be able to go to the room and enjoy a bit of quiet.
- Graham (10/5): Very enjoyable trip, good surroundings. Food was good staff excellent we’re definitely use again. - Warm and comfortable with a lovely welcome Nothing
- Laura (9/5): Great hotel, very nicely kept - Lovely hotel, with friendly staff and good food. Really nicely decorated, with beautiful views over the loch. The staff kindly arranged a cot for our son. One (minor!) niggle was that the bathroom lights worked from a motion sensor, which meant you couldn’t use the bathroom in the night without all the lights coming on.
- Karen (10/5): - The location was fantastic. Quiet and peaceful. View over the loch was beautiful. Room was clean and comfortable Evening meal was freshly prepared and good value. Would recommend and would definitely stay again if Im passing that way.
- Ben (8/5): Convenient stay but restricted restaurant hours - Good value stay and very quiet. Easy parking and very friendly staff. Evening Meal was only served till 7.15, so had to order and eat before making it to my room! Starter was nice but main course fairly basic.
- Jakob (7/5): - The location was perfect. Very beautiful. The hotel was cozy and had a pub. However it wasn't possible to buy food, when we arrived, which was fair, but the nearest place to get food was 25 minutes away, so you might want to consider your dinner options The bathroom light was regulated by a sensor - this was also connected to the ventilator/fan. The fan made a lot of noise and it took a good while for it to stop.
- Caroline (10/5): We had a very comfortable stay with great hospitality - Very friendly helpful staff
- Janet (10/5): Wonderful accommodation right by the shoreline. - This was a fantastic place to stay. We had a lovely room with superb views of the loch. The lady who ran the place could not have been more welcoming. She was very hardworking and her efforts were much appreciated. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner was delicious. A very talented singer entertained us on the Saturday evening, playing and extensive mix of popular songs. Local cycling and walking was excellent. A lovely place to get away from everything and relax. Highly recommended! Nothing.
- Lisa (9/5): Nice place to stay the night. - Very helpful host, well-appointed room with every supply and snack we could want, comfortable beds, convenient location.
- Niek (6/5): - De bedden waren prima.
Tegenvaller.
- Ros (8/5): Good location for overnight stay on route to west coast - Excellent view of Koch earn. Continental breakfast was excellent with great variety and good value for money. N/a

- Paula (9/5): - Views from room were amazing. Great and easy parking.
Bar area was great, had live music which was fantastic and we enjoyed the evening. Food lovely. We just about got a table for food. Probably should have stated when booking that we would like a reservation. Would be nice for residents to get priority over walkins.
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Neale (10/5): -
- Daryn (8/5): -
- Martyn (8/5): -
- CAROLYN (9/5): Ni e place to stay - Lovely setting, clean and tidy ,staff extremely helpful and polite Not enough hangers only 2 on a hook and hor water took 10 minutes to get hot.
- Brian (8/5): -
- Nikki (9/5): Staff were friendly & helpful, we were updated prior to our stay regarding staff illness so were prepared. Very cle - The location was amazing & well worth paying for a lake view room
- Nick (9/5): -
- McCrudden (9/5): A great relaxing stay with exceptional views. - The view from the room was fantastic, a great clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was continental with a good selection, we would have preferred the option of full English. There was a limited menu and while the food quality was excellent we would have preferred more choice.
Buona colazione continentale. Parcheggio comodo antistante.
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely loch side stay - Beautiful location, great bar and food menu. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room was great and view fantastic Nothing

- Trudi (6/5): -
- Richard (8/5): -
- Paola (8/5): -
- martin (9/5): - Nice hotel special Slow internet
- Peter (8/5): - Location by the Loch, good parking. Hardly a "Garden View" at the rear. Noisy heating system during the night.
- BWS (9/5): Great for a short stay. - Great location by the loch.
Clean.
Good pub attached.
Friendly, helpful staff.
- Gloria (9/5): -
- Joan (8/5): Great location with stunning views - The location was beautiful- right on the edge of the loch.
Dinner is typical pub food but it was good and the lounge had a nice roaring fire going! All fine
- Sim (10/5): -
- Sian (9/5): Attractive, cosy hotel on loch side - Attractively modernised inn on the side of this beautiful loch. Lovely light and spacious bed room overlooking the Loch in warm colours with large bathroom Good pub meal in the evening in the quieter restaurant and decent cooked breakfast. The staff were helpful but didn’t know much about the local area. . They seemed very busy.. The system for ordering the cooked breakfast item by item seems a bit cumbersome.. but we enjoyed the result.,
- David (9/5): Definitely worth a stay here - Lovely hotel great rooms very clean with super showers , great food and bar by the loch very friendly staff Nothing
