- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excelente!
- Z (2/5): - SIMPLY PUT, THEY SEEMED TO OVERBOOK AND DID NOT TELL US! WE ARE JUST SURPRISE THAT WE ARE IN A DIFFERENT HOTEL WITHOIT ANY DECENCY TO INFORM US BEFOREHAND!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient location, friendly staff, comfortable room and an overall pleasant stay. Very personalised experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Micah (10/5): - We loved our stay here! We were treated so graciously by staff. I was sad to go!
- Tahlia (4/5): - The hotel staff were more than friendly and accommodating, however, we had previously organised a hotel pickup via email and once arrived at the airport, there was nobody there to pick us up. We contacted them to find out what was going on, after already being there for in excess of an hour, to which they had a driver in a tuk tuk come and were very apologetic and we appreciated this!
We arrived to the hotel, and were utterly disappointed with the accommodation. I don’t feel it’s an acurate representation of what’s in the promotional photos at all. The room smelt of mould, the bed didn’t feel comfortable at all, the toilet was blocked, and the shower wasn’t in a very nice state (with tiles missing and grime build up).
Only being at the accommodation for two hours, we decided to check in and find alternative accommodation as it just wasn’t for us.
- William (10/5): A hidden gem in Siem Reap - Me and a friend went on a trip to Siem Reap to watch temples like so many others. We found this hotel and it was great. Food service and friendly staff
- Mohamad (10/5): A cute little boutique hotel near Siem Reap - We were greeted with a very courteous reception lady, and was offered with early check in... The room we stayed is a compact space with complete amenities, the bathroom is spotless.. At first, we were not sure with the small lcd tv, but the channels provided are more than enough, 85 channels if I'm not mistaken.. All staff are exceptionally warm and friendly, very helpful in attending our needs.. We only managed to try the breakfaat on the last morning, and, it's simple but enough to start our morning... I give 5* for this little cute hotel, which gave us a great value for our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Très bon rapport qualité prix (20$ la nuit) mais ça peut valoir la peine de payer un peu plus pour être plus près des points d'intérêt
- Aaron (10/5): Lemongrass & Ginger Hotel best bang for your $ - TOLA, Vi & LiDA & the Lemon Grass & Ginger Hotel make it the best bang for your buck with their English & help navigating Siem Reap 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Mansi (6/5): - The staff and hotel are very nice. It has a small "pool" that can be used for soaking rather than swimming. The rooms are clean and very comfortable but small. We would bump our knee with the beds while going in and out. For the price it offers it's not the best. The location is VERY far from all the fun, happening places and the tuk tuk rides add up quite fast! Much cheaper and bigger places are available near the cool areas. The staff was lovely though.
- Bich (8/5): Correct pour petit séjour. - Une chose qui manque de cet hôtel, l'ascenseur, petit déjeuner pas vraiment, le reste est bien, propre, staff accueillant, trois et demi comme satisfaction
- WK (10/5): Nice room & Nice guide - The room was completely clean and comfortable, but TV was over. The room had large tawol, toothbrush, Shampoo, Rince, body soup. There were no driers. Breakfast was so good.
This hotel contacted us before visiting, and suggested Tuktuk tours. It was really useful for us. Our driver, Mr. Chan worked for us kindly. He supported our trip and we enjoyed.
- Scott (4/5): Not great overall - Location is pretty bad, way outside the main drag and out of walking distance. Nothing nearby on the street either.
The staff were not particularly helpful.
The power was off when we arrived and took about an hour to come on.
I bought a bottle of water from reception and when I took a sip it was definitely off, either refilled with tap water or had otherwise gone bad somehow.
Pool was small, shallow and grimy.
The room itself was fine.
- MARINA (10/5): - Hotel staff were kind to me every time. When I came back to the hotel, they remembered my room number and gave me the room key without me saying.l felt nice hostility.I want to stay this hotel again .
- Philemon (8/5): Comfy environment and friendly staffs - Room is clean and tidy, towels are a bit dirty tho but I had brought mine so that’s not a problem to me. Location is a bit far away from city centre and you need to take tuktuk whenever you’re going out. That’s the only bad thing.
- anthony (10/5): Love em - Even though I was sick, everyone was wonderful. Highly recommend
- Chai MY (8/5): Good staff, reasonable price
- We would like to say thank you very much for the Hotel Manager Mr Eddie for his kind arrangement for the airport shutter services and our 3 days unforgettable ground arrangement tour. We give 5 thumb up.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to all of the main attractions in town. The food was delicious.
- braxus (6/5): Everage - Is a good budget hotel, staff was nice but room is just everage, diff like the website showing, too noisy for night due to the neighborhood has many dog keep barking and transport sound!
- Kenneth (8/5): Lemongrass and Ginger Hotel - Lovely room, it was quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful in helping us plan tours. A very nice stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best hotel manager - Mr Lin definitely made my experience extra special during my stay. He was extremely helpful in customizing tours, and advising which places or shows to see and when. I loved the hotel location and Siem Reap so much that I extended my stay twice! Highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again in a heartbeat. :)
- Andrew (10/5): Short great stay - Very friendly and welcoming staff that’s close to the action.
- teama (8/5): - Good enough for a weekend get away. Staff was nice and Gave us a free breakfast even after we brought ours to sunrise at Angkor Wat that morning. Shower was confusing. Couldn’t figure out the temperature. The outlet fell off the wall in the bathroom. Otherwise spacious and 5 minute ride to pub street. It was hard for my pass up driver to find a hotel because it was kind of hidden inside. It was a plus that we got a free ride from the airport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very lovely hotel in a great location, the staff were so welcoming and the breakfast delicious!
- Eason (10/5): Great hotel with even better staff. - This place was great to us. We had drinks and food on the patio. Pool and service was great. Very clean and great experience overall. Location was on a busy road but easy to get transportation.
- Carolina (10/5): Loved it - The staff is friendly, nice, polite and caring. The rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy. The hotel is located near the centre of Siem Reap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to relax between temple sights! - We had a great time at this hotel, the staff is really friendly and took care of all our tours and bookings of guides, transport, etc. They also helped us with laundry which was easy and fast. The pool is nice to cool down in after a long day of sights. The location is calm and a bit outside the sentrum, it was a very short tuktuk ride to the sentrum, and it allowed us to see more of the "real phom penh".
Would definitely stay here again!
Also it is good to rather use boutique hotels rather than the large resorts as these are more often owned by government, staying and smaller hotels ensures that you support the local people and not just the government who is not the best at distributing funds.
It was good that we could have extra towels for the pool, but it would have been even better if they had been changed daily :)
- Sarah Moriah (10/5): Solo trip in Siem Reap - Impressive hotel located in the highway. Warm hospitality and genuine people. Special thanks to Mr Jaworski for the kind assistance and recommendations. If you're looking for relaxation look no further. As a solo traveller, I do recommend Lemongrass and Ginger Hotel on your trip to Siem Reap. :)
- Steven (10/5): - Great stay, great service, and great host who is very knowledgeable about Cambodia and the area. He can provide recommendations for restaurants, markets, tours, etc... Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotek - Great stay with very helpful staff! In between the main town and the Angkor temples.
- Ivan (10/5): Outstanding Value - Had a wonderful stay. The staff were more than helpful. Their eye for detail was outstanding. Don't look elsewhere. For the price, Lemongrass & Ginger is the best hotel we have stayed at in many years. Extraordinary value.
- Elaine (10/5): Serene & clean with helpful and friendly staff - Loved it. A group of 8 volunteers stayed at the hotel and enjoyed it very much. We were picked up by the hotel tuktuks from the airport and given a refreshing cool glass of lemongrass and ginger iced tea on arrival in the lobby. Such a relaxing welcome.
Our group had a delicious lunch prepared for us on arrival at the hotel. It was a coconut fish curry, papaya salad, fried rice and spring rolls. One of the best meal experiences I had, and a relaxing way to start one's visit in Siem Reap.
In total, I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and loved it. It is a serene oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area and temples. The hotel is a very short (and free!) tuktuk ride into the main "touristy" area of Siem Reap, so I wouldn't be concerned about its location.
The tuktuk drivers were wonderful and brought us to the temples and around town. It was nice to see their reliable and honest faces waiting for us after exiting the temples, restaurants, etc.
I loved having a cocktail or glass of wine at the pool to wind down the day!
- Vivian (10/5): Awesome hotel in Siem Reap - My boyfriend and I had such a great time at this hotel. We were welcomed with Lemongrass Ginger tea when we arrived and had some each morning. The hotel's co-owner Eddie was charming and gave us great tips for food (the hotel's restaurant near the temples had good fish amok and yellow curry, this quaint and good French place that I can't remember the name of but they had yummy steaks and an engaging French owner, and of course the extremely yummy Khmer food at Marum and Chenrey Tree with the latter being our hands down fave) and set-up last minute tours/spa for us as well as some other friends that joined us - he was calm throughout sometimes chaotic planning moments. The hotel food was amazing which is appreciated after long days at the temples or eating in early before a sunrise tour, I had tried the chicken amok, spring rolls, fruit platters were repeatable (I did the last two again the next day) and my boyfriend tried the chicken fried rice one day which he loved and even had a western Club sandwich that he considered out of this world (random).Food was very safe in the hotel and the food recommendations were also safe coming from Eddie. The tuk tuks were generally easy to arrange and got us over to the temples over the 2.5 days that we focused on them. Johnny was our favorite. We also took tuk tuks to Pub Street to check out the Temple for Apsara dancing which was nice, food only ok. Overall wonderful hotel experience and hosted by the engaging Eddie and a friendly staff
- Catherine (10/5): Lovely Hotel with attentive service - No praise is too high for the amazing personal service given by Eddie and his wonderful team at this hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent.
The pool was a nice touch and with pleasant seating area to chill in the heat.
The hotel is a little out of the centre but we walked this in an easy 15 minutes and enjoyed exploring the "real" Siem Reap off the tourist trails.
The free Tuk Tuk into Town in the evening was an excellent service with the return trip just $2/3. As the hotel is newish some Tuk Tuk drivers don't know where it is but just tell them the name of the hotel opposite and they immediately know and can drop you off easily.
A very pleasant stay.
- Chrissa (10/5): Customer service-oriented staff will wow you - I took a chance on a smaller, recently-opened hotel, and I wasn’t disappointed. It turned out to be my favorite of the 10+ hotels I stayed at during my SEA trip.
Cleanliness of room/hotel: My deluxe double room was quite spacious and clean. The bathroom was very modern, although the shower may be a bit tight for someone with a bigger frame. My only suggestion would be to install hooks/a shelf or bar above the toilet for hanging towels/clothes. There isn't room to hang much. The Lobby area is open and inviting. I spent several nights downstairs enjoying a glass of wine.
Quality of service: I could not ask for a more attentive, helpful and knowledgeable hotel staff. Everyone was so kind and friendly -- all important attributes I look for as a solo female traveler. They all made me feel welcome and taken care of. (I ended up extending my stay another 3 days.) The ladies at the front were my favorites -- a bit shy with their English (perfectly fine btw and one speaks Chinese!) but all incredibly sweet. I was pretty sick when I first arrived and they would ask if I was feeling better and would bring me tea. I’m particularly grateful for the level of knowledge about local tours/activities/sites. I literally followed everything the hotel manager/owner suggested and had an amazing time.
Hotel amenities: The swimming pool was a Godsend after a day of temples. There is also has a cook on hand, which was really convenient before a full day of activities.
Thanks for an awesome stay!
- Verified traveler (2/5): OVERRATED MONEY GRUBBERS - 1 LOCATiON: 20 Football Fields fr the Night Market.
2 NO TV Channels. NONE.
3 NO ViEW from your window.
4 Breakfast MAY NOT be Included.
5 NO ALARM CLOCK
6 NO TELEPHONE in your room.
7 UNACCEPTABLE BiCYCLES.
8 NO Air Conditioning My 1st Night & 2nd morning. AC turns out to be weak. Barely blows. #104
9 NO LAMP in room.
10 If THEY err, it's YOUR FAULT.
LOCATiON. All hotels are a couple of miles from Angkor, so your biggest concern is how far you will be from the Night Market. LemonGrass & Ginger is about 1.3 miles (more than 2km) from the night market. You decide.
TELEViSiON. LemonGrass is the 1st place that I've been to that has no cable or broadcast tv to watch. There are No TV channels. No BBC. No Al Jazeera. No HBO. No CNN. Not even local Cambodian TV. Nothing. You have a little monitor in yr room and you're suppose to choose from about 20 typewritten selections. You then go downstairs and tell the front desk what you want to see and I didn't even bother.
NO VIEW. Look @ the photo. The only views are from the front of the bldg but the 1st floor is the lobby, the 2nd is a dining room and I didn’t go to the 3rd. So most if not all the rooms’ windows face the building to the left or the building to the right.
NO PHONE in the room. Anytime there's a matter, you must physically go downstairs or use your own carrier pigeon.
NO LAMP. You have 1 wall sconce, which is a dim decorative wall light. No bedside or room lamp. So read
- Chan (8/5): - My friend and I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights and overall our experience was very good. Jin/Linh organized a 3 day guide for us to visits the temples in Siem Reap. Package costs was $150 total. He also recommended going to see the circus act Phare which we were hesitant about however having actually seen the circus, all I can say is that it is definitely a must see!!! It was my top 3 highlight along with watching the sunrise at Angor Wat and visiting the first temple.
Now onto our stay at the hotel, which had a couple of issues. Both of our rooms smelt really stale, the fan kept making noises, the AC didn't keep the room cool even with the fan on and wifi dropped on and off, however the benefits far outweigh the con. The staffs were super friendly and the hotel had a pool! It was a beautiful pool and very clean. We used it twice after coming back from out trip and it was heavenly.
The hotel is located around 10 mins ride away from pub street however the hotel does offer free shuttle service at 6pm everyday. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who's looking for a nice hotel to stay at and that's very affordable.
PS. You must see the circus!
- Divine Grace (10/5): - Not in the city center, but when in Siem reap you'd appreciate a nice shower and very comfortable bed after a long day at the sights. The staff are amazingly helpful as well.
- Zak (10/5): Fantastic staff. Newly refurbished hotel. - Clean, cosy rooms. The manager and staff were incredibly helpful.
Highly recommend the cooktuk and sunrise tour.
Extremely good value.
- Carol (10/5): Hotel Price was right for staying within my budge - I was at Lemongrass for 11 nights and overall, it was great. Staff is personable but, it would help if front desk spoke better English to understand the guests requests. My main took took driver, for my photography requests, was the best part of my experience with photographing the temples. He was gracious and patient with waiting for me to exit the temple(s) after hours of photographing within them. Yon is historically knowledgeable and very in tune with specific lighting aspects on the varying temples. When it comes to being in the right spot with light for photography, this is an added PLUS for a driver. He was specific as to which gate he would meet me at once I entered and he never rushed me. He spoke English and is an excellent driver and knows the "backroads" and different ways to get t wherever we were going.
- felipe (10/5): Great hotel - Excellent hotel, clean, big room, nice pool, the staff is excellent. Close to everything.
- BALRAJ SINGH (2/5): HIDDEN CHARGES!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! POOR HOTEL - When you've got nothing positive to say it's usually best to remain quiet - but not this time! I had a horrible overall experience at this hotel and anyone considering staying here should be aware. I arrived and received a warm welcome with an introdocution to the local area, tours available and the facilities at the hotel. So far so good. The room is spacious but that's where it ends. The bathroom is tiny with no door. So small the bamboo towel rail is in the bedroom. The beds are uncomfortable and during my 4 nights stay often went uncleaned. Not all food was available on the room service menu and the tv was very small with NO channels, just a USB with a choice of films. The aircon was hit and miss so restored to roof fan. Hotel manager Lin was very condescending and mislead me with prices on tours!! Hidden charges such as tickets and tuk tuk which were expensive!! Laundry was a joke as it was due back the evening before I flew out and when I went to collect Lin said it would be here tomorrow! Err..hello? I'm due to catch a flight at 7:00am! This meant I could not pack! During my trip around south east Asia this is easily the worst hotel I stayed in. For the price there is much better available! The only compliment I can pay was the breakfast. It wasn't groundbreaking but okay. But just be aware of the hidden charges! A tour to Angkor wat $26, but that's NOT including a ticket! $26 for a tuk tuk?? In Cambodia??? Are you kidding me? I felt cheated through my stay. AVOID!!
- Manon (10/5): WE WAITED FOR IT - When you are traveling around Asia, the comfort is sometimes forgotten, and our stay in lemongrass and ginger hotel was like the perfect stay to rest for few days, TO HAVE COMFORTABLE ROOM. The owner is really nice and friendly like the staff. They give good advice for visiting and are friendly. The bed is just PERFECT, it was a dream for us for a cheap price to have that comfortable bed..... FINALLY after few other places.
We really enjoy the stay there, im not used to leave a note but this hotel is very good!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place - Extremely helpful, hospitable staff. Lots of suggestions for things to do. Cooking class was great idea.
Comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Pool and poolside breakfast.
- John (10/5): - Rooms were very nice. Guest service was great. Just be aware of the $10 fee if you bring a guest back to your room.
- Paula (10/5): This Hotel is the reason I extended my stay - Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Very clean and modern. Hotel owner Mr Lin organised a pick-up from the bus station, I got the bus from 4,000 Islands Laos to Siem Reap. I was relieved to see my driver. As soon as I got to the hotel Mr Lin greeted me with a welcome drink and showed me around. Staff were amazing and the hotel is great especially if you are a solo female traveller like myself I felt completely at home and safe. Organising tours and tuktuks was easily done through the hotel and Mr Lin. Mr Lin has extensive knowledge about Siem Reap and Cambodia as a whole which helps a lot. I have recommended this hotel to everyone and I will be staying here again next time I'm in Siem Reap.
- Bianca (10/5): Great hotel. - Brand new modern hotel. Excellent value, clean modern bathroom with rain shower. Nice big room, very clean, good wifi, nice staff.
We had a great stay at this hotel, it was a great price, and although situated slightly out of town, it is a good location for visiting Angkor wat, and there is a free Tuk Tuk into to town at 6pm, so after your day at the temples you can take. A free ride into town ( takes a few mins only).
The only negative (not really a negative just feedback) was the hotel offer free movies, via a USB. You pick a selection of movies from a list, and they load onto the usb. The list has some great movies. However every movie except one we selected did not load onto the usb. So there was a problem with that, but if this is fixed, it would be an awesome addition to the hotel.
- Tian Xiang (10/5): Excellent service! - We arrived late at night to the recently opened hotel, but the manager and the staff was ready to welcome us with drinks and refreshing towels. The staff was very respectful and provided exceptional service during our stay. The rooms were clean and well organized, the bed was comfy and we had a TV with free movies and pretty good WiFi. The staff offered free Tuktuk service, free cellphones during our stay, free lunch box for early morning guided tours and when we had trouble getting to Thailand's border, they even offered a taxi driver at 4 AM for a reasonable price. The only downside is that the bathroom's door can't be locked; but otherwise, I would definitely stay there again! Exceptional staff!
