Guest Reviews
- Ruvalcaba (10/5): This place was a very unique building and I had an online booking issue but the couple at the front desk were kindly acc - The inside layout of the building was very unique. I loved the open layout with the high ceilings. This is a very beautiful older building with wonderfully welcoming staff. I explored a bit and they had a pool that I hope one day will be brought back to life. You could tell it wasn’t used anymore, but it looked like a nice addition. The outside of the property could use more attention.
- Rigoberto (4/5): - There were some clothes under the desk from previous guests room smelled dirty
- David (2/5): - Cable/ tv not working only one towel no wash cloth no hand towel no cups questionable door latch phone not working. Room needs repairs and supplies
- Sammy (4/5): - There was a dirty, crusty washcloth left on the shower rod. Not sure how that could have been missed by housekeeping. When I removed it, it literally stayed the same shape as it was on the rod, so clearly it had been there awhile!! It was disgusting! Also, the cable wasn’t working in my room. When I called the front desk they told me it would be fixed on Monday (it was Saturday). They did move me to another room but only after I asked. It was not offered.
- Emmanuel (10/5): - Rooms are spacious enough. I liked open area for fresh air. However, staff not removing trash could see trash cans full for 2 days.
Refrigerator needed in room.
Could not get extension for check out.
Breakfast is poor: no milk for 2 days; no fruit, always serving cereals , coffee and bread. If you say break fast included; try to make a variety at least every 2days… Can be great if those issues are resolved
- Craig (2/5): - I didn’t stay in the room portable a/c a lamp in the bathroom for lighting tv not working room had a smell
- Ashwin (2/5): - I booked three rooms. When we got there the
- Naomi (2/5): - At check in we were charged twice and when we went into our room and there was tons of roaches in the room and dead roaches in The beds.
- SAMUEL (4/5): - They do not clean rooms daily. Tv did not work . Never fixed it while I stayed. Every morning they were out of coffee .
- James (6/5): - Alot of traffic
- Cody (2/5): Go anywhere else - Nothing Not clean. Parking lot was full of trash. Cable did not work in my room the entire week. WiFi was extremely slow. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Room was dirty and in disrepair.
- Guest (2/5): - Price First room: bucket to catch ac drips, cigar smell, poorly made bed
Second room: 1 towel (more provided on request), no water cups, dirty hallway carpet, bed made with top sheet above blanket...should have been underneath
- Emma (7/5): -
- Guest (4/5): - Tv was bad, not enough pillows, no pillow cases
- Becerril (1/5): - Nothing it was dirty old pice of chicken in the microwave and there were holes in the walls They charged me twice they took payments with out authorization
- Nancy (5/5): -
- Laura (8/5): - The front counter lady was very nice and very helpful.
- Gene (6/5): - It was just a little run down, the desk lady was excellent
- Diane (2/5): - They did not honor my reservation. Overbooked themselves and I was left with no place to stay at midnight in a strange town.
- Heather (3/5): -
- Desmond (1/5): Terrible stay at $90 a night is crazy - Nothing It had roaches
- Guest (6/5): -
- Randy (2/5): 10 out of 10 would not recommend!! - Questionable stains on curtains and sheets. No flat sheet, just blanket. Holes in walls and bathroom ceiling. Some weird fabric also hanging from bathroom ceiling. The mini bar was nice (Coors Light left in fridge) The area outside is in much need of a cleaning. Trash everywhere and the pool could use a cut. By the looks of this place the rates should be hourly.
- Shadae (10/5): - Amazing
- Joshua (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - Terrible. The hotel room is disgustingly gross. Nothing clean. TV didn’t work microwave didn’t work. The king bed reserved was given away. When attempted to get refund and leave I was told they don’t give refunds and that’s just how the room is.
- JAIME (2/5): - No me gusto El precio..y huele mal
- Spotwood (1/5): Bad - Didn’t let me get the room
- Carlos (4/5): - The room, amenities, cleanliness could be much better.
- L (2/5): - Refus
- Shania (10/5): - I like the fact it was breakfast included and it's quiet no one messes w you and a lot of space , everyone stays to themselves, overall great hotel
- Jack (6/5): Just passing through Abilene - Ladies at the front desk were very nice! TV not working!
- Sanders (9/5): Superb -
- Frank (2/5): - Sewer gases coming from toilet. The toilet is sitting sideways on the floor and not well attached. Obviously the wax or rubber seal has failed against the toilet floor flange. The management knew this because the bathroom door was closed when I first came in and the bathroom vent fan was on. The room also seemed more perfumy. If the exhaust fan vents to the outside it would just increase the problem because it would cause a vacuumed in the bathroom. Huge chug holes in parking area. Sidewalk entry area full of bird droppings. Whole facility is very run down. H2S ( hydrogen Sulfide ) is poisonous and is present in sewer gases. It also deadens the nerves so it becomes less noticeable. I could not use the bathroom and will be asking for a refund.
- Shania (10/5): - Open space, no one bothers you has a purchasable pantree
- Billy (6/5): Pleasant - Sydney the desk cleark was Amazing. All needs were adressed in a timely manner. You NEED to MOW....
- Marisol (10/5): - Everything
- Eva (10/5): - For being in the area it was at definitely was comfortable.
- Crystal (10/5): - Staffvwas amazing they also have breakfast rooms are cutevand cozy
- Scott (2/5): - When I checked in the person at front desk waited until he collected the fee to inform me that my room had no tv but he would move me the next day that never happened. Advertised that room cleaned everyday only to find out you have to sign up to have your room cleaned. The place is falling down and very dirty.
- Julie (2/5): Avoid if you can! - Closeness to Highway It didn’t feel super safe, there were no windows, and the room was not entirely clean (dirty floors, appliances, and flies). The staff did state they were very full at the time which may have attributed to the state of the hotel and room.
- Watson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vasquez (7/5): Good -
- Rashel (3/5): Poor -
- Tyler (2/5): - When I opened my assigned room, there was somebody still in there. Drunk people hanging out and being loud in the parking lot. Room was filthy and smelled. I left immediately.
- Laysa (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (1/5): Nightmare - Nothing at all!!!!!! Staff was rude, lazy, room was dirty, the bed sheets were dirty. No toilet paper in the bathroom, roaches, flies, nats. There was a dirty wash towel in the tub, hair the bathroom was very dirty
- Don (2/5): A mess - Room didn't have TV or microwave was sat in the lobby called the front desk 5 times in a row and they never picked up. Towels was dirty had to go buy me some. Continental Breakfast is a joke. I do not recommend this hotel to any one.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs improvement - Had to move from the first room due mold in the air conditioner and bedding was non-existent. Second room had a desk chair, but no desk or table, 1 towel for two people, and no trash can. When I asked for another towel was told only hand towels available.
- Audrey (2/5): - The parking lot had potholes. The lobby was vacant. One cashier was nice but when i told him about that i was a senior citizen and would like to have my discount on my room and he refused saying i had to have done it on line....What??? There was no place on line asking that.....The hotel was not a place a family needed..it was just a vacant dump....We were on the 3rd floor...being a senior citizen I had to walk clear across the so called lobby with my suitcases....no carts no bellboys.then getting to the room i had to cross completely back to the other side of bldg. The door to room was not safely locked...you could see outside into lobby through door frame. The fridge was broke would not turn on....Told front desk person..he was not too concerned.. Not enough towels..registered as 2 occupants. No drinking cups...Then NO Continental breakfast like advertised on line...front desk then again was not concerned....Beds in room were made terribly...blanket was rough as sandpaper and pillows stunk like sweat....give this so call motel a negative 0.. will tell all my friends about this place also....Very. Very disappointed.
- Patricia (7/5): Good - It's cheap, easy to locate, good for a one night stay The room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a no smoke bedroom, the bed sheets and towels had stains, the surfaces didn't look clean, and there was a used water bottle in the mini fridge.
- John (2/5): Worst hotel I've ever visited - The bed had blood all over it. Pooop on the floor in bathroom amd roaches walkinb around. I stayed a total of about 45 seconds and left.
- Tiffany (4/5): - Felt old, run down, and dirty. There was a dead giant roach outside our door and a small one in the bathroom. Our door had a big gap in it and barely locked, there was no mirror and only 1 towel and a bar of soap. The breakfast they offer is dry cereal and a loaf of bread.
- John (4/5): - Bathroom was clean but the room and the rest of the property was disgusting. Beds were gross but comfortable. Little to no breakfast. Signed nothing at check in. Was handed a key. One of the weirdest experiences ever.
- Keri (6/5): - Booked on Hotels.com
The Hotel layout reminded me of a past Comfort Suites and the pictures looked nice. The actual hotel had buckets for water drips in the big area pictured. The breakfast area was VERY dark/unlit and not upkept with coffee and no butter for toast, but cereal was sufficient. The room had graffiti on the inside of door and no refrigerator. The staff was extremely nice. Got the impression the hotel was newly taken over. Much room for improvement here.
- Perkins (3/5): Poor - Well it looks like they were working in it like there was blue tape on the door carpet was nasty and you could see threw the door crack 8 had to leave the curtain over it so no one could look in since this is my complaint
- Anonymous (1/5): Dirty needs maintenance would not recommend - I didn’t like anything the place is falling apart The place is extremely dirty. The beds are not cleaned. They have stains all over them and the physical building itself is falling apart. Is extremely dingy and not a good place
- Joseph (2/5): - The rooms was horrible they smelled very bad I had to change rooms 3 times I was working and had to leave and buy air fresheners it was always something the tv wouldn’t work or didn’t have refrigerator it was very loud at night I had to get up for work 5am and I couldn’t get any sleep because it was noisy .
- Vanessa (9/5): Don't book online - It was available I have been charged 2 times extra and not refunded
- Evelia (6/5): - The young men who work the desk were very nice. I stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is dated but my room was clean and I was comfortable. It did say breakfast on the website but all I saw was cereal, bread, and coffee. Overall, my stay was good. Nothing fancy but a good place to shower, rest, and sleep.
- Joshua (2/5): - horrible,dirty,unsafe,unclean,
roaches and dirty clothes under the bed, stains on walls, tv didn’t work, bathtub dirty, weird activity in and outside the building
- Rosie (8/5): Very good - I went for school purposes and the manager Jesse went over and beyond for me and my husband...You have a keeper...This is an experience I will keep forever...Room was clean and comfortable for the time we stayed...This will definitely be our hotel when we come to Abilene...Thank you Jesse for your kindness and humbleness 😊 Everything was perfect
- William (4/5): - Top sheet put on top of outside blanket instead of over mattress sheet. How can you know the blanket is clean? Also, q-tip on the floor, cockroaches everywhere, nothing for breakfast and completely unattended. Totally disappointed. I thought I was getting a decent room for $100 plus.
- Dylan (2/5): - Absolute horrible stay. First room the tv didnt work. Rooms are very dirty. 2nd room the phone didnt work. No trash cans in the room. Killed a roach in my room.
Would never stay here again.
- Raul (6/5): - It was obviously being remodeled. Our bathroom door was dismounted! Attendant offered to change our room but the alternate was not clean, so we decided to stay in the original room which was clean. Staff was friendly. The parking lot was littered with trash on the sides. May have been due to the remodeling going on. Breakfast buffet was sparse.
- Amar (2/5): - Soaked carpets. Warm fridges. Filthy floors. Bricked cable boxes. Missing towels (a first!) Splattering sink fixtures. Bonus: creepy empty courtyard.
- Erica (10/5): - Great
- Dusherick (1/5): Trashy nasty ass hotel breakfast sucks housekeeping sucks management sucks - Nothing it’s nasty dirty and disgusting
They have trash everywhere inside and outside m. Needles to shoot up everywhere Everything don’t stay here the gm is new and sucks at customer service
- Galen (2/5): Very poor - Originally the price and location I was given a key to a room that was still occupied. I opened the door, and the bed was a mess. There were clothes on the chair and counter. Luckily, no one was in the room, but I have a friend that was shot under the same circumstances. I was offered another room. I declined because of the danger to myself and to whomever enters my room
- Leslie (4/5): - The staff was very friendly, however the breakfast really lacks in choices! No sugar for coffee only slenda, bread almost gone and not refilled, they only offer oatmeal bread No Butter and no sugar or creamer for coffee
- Laysa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laysa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (2/5): Absolutely terrible dirty and scary - The front desk worker was kind It was absolutely disgusting and dirty. We did not stay and got our money back
- Jose (8/5): - !!!!!!!!
- randy (2/5): - Didn't accept pets
- Andrea (6/5): Pleasant - Customer service was good The doors didnt lock the towels were dirty
- Justin (2/5): - They had broken switches, the tv didn’t work properly, they never cleaned the room when you leave, the ceiling tiles had hose in over where you can see above the ceiling, not a good environment
- David (10/5): I'll keep staying here - Good Nothing
- Shannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sherry (3/5): Poor -
- THOMAS (4/5): - The Continental Breakfast was non existant. There were only 2 pieces of bread in the package. There was cereal but no milk. That was the extent of the food. There was nobody at the desk when I was trying to get breakfast. Very disappointing. Aside from that, the ficility looked very nice.
- Packa (6/5): - Nice staff regardless the conditions!
- Kimberly (2/5): - Gross! I have booked with hotel.com before and I have NEVER been disappointed. This time was just terrible. Bed bugs. People complaining about room non stop. I will never stay at place again.
- susan (2/5): - We had reservations for Friday & Saturday night- 3 rooms reserved.
> As we walk into the lobby there are 6 other people at the desk. All were cancelling their reservations because of the state of their rooms. Two ladies stopped me and said that their room was filthy and that we should look at ours before we checked in. The attendant let us look and it was a definite NO. The floors were full of debris- bathroom was unbelievably dirty with trash in the floors, the bathtub had not been cleaned at all and sheets were dirty with hair in the bed. How could anyone in good conscience put someone in those rooms? They also had all been smoked in. There were mattresses lined up against the walls in the hallway, with tvs setting in the floor and boxes everywhere. This has got to be a health violation. I will be contacting the health department and Abilene Chamber of Commerce and anyone that has something to do with hotels/ motels in Abilene. This is horrible and needs immediate attention.
- Verified traveler (4/5): It was an...experience - Oh my. Stayed here almost 2 weeks. Cheapest place i could find, so thats a positive. The main guy at the front desk was real nice and helpful. Shower was always hot on the second floor. Bed on the 3rd floor was comfortable.
The bad parts. I never saw a live water bug, but there was plenty of dead ones scattered around(never in my room). When i would come back from work, half the time my key would not work and would have to be fixed at the front desk. The first room they gave me had someone elses bags in there. The second week i was there, some employee opened my door in the middle of the night. He said he didnt know someone was in there. If you're on the 3rd floor, start your shower several minutes ahead of time. That water takes a long time to heat up, if at all. Both rooms i was in didn't have working tvs. The gym was out of order because they lost the key. No laundry room on the premises. I never checked for ice. One room had a mini fridge, the other had a desk.
So hey, i lived. No one messed with my car. The wifi works fine. Sometimes you have to turn your wifi off and back on to reset the password.
- Maria (4/5): - There was nothing positive about this property. We were not able to shower. Construction was all around us. Parking lot precarious.
- Cynthia (2/5): - If you’re thinking of booking a room with this hotel, I strongly advise keep looking. parking lot has low lighting,&dirty.Room smell like dirty socks,no hot water, toilet barely flushed,tv not working.Seems people remodeling hotel are actually living there.Felt very unsafe. Break. coffee no cream or sugar, cereal no milk or bowls&loaf. Trash cans were overflowing in main area. Hotel should not be allowed to rent rooms until improvements are completed.
- Laysa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (1/5): Bad -
- PATRICK (4/5): - One time it could have been a nice place, but lack of upkeep and maintenance has left too far gone.
- Steve (8/5): - Hotel was clean. Nothing fancy.
- Paula (2/5): A DISASTER!!!!!! - The room we were assigned was not cleaned AT ALL when we opened the door. We were placed in another room, no working TV, no remote, microwave did not reach a plugin, no coffee, no water cups, no iron, no blow drier, no hangers, clock radio broken in nightstand drawer, 2 pillows had no pillowcases on them, breakfast was a JOKE! No coffee, cereal all over the counter, no hot water for the oatmeal, the microwave was FILTHY! There was a toaster, butter and jelly, but no bread, no muffins, no bagels. The next morning when I reported all of these things to the gal at the desk she replied, "I am just an employee, I can't do anything about it." I was SHOCKED when she said this.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Glyn (2/5): - They never received my reservation, the people were rude and I could not get a hold Expedia to ask for a refund ended up staying at another motel. I do expect a refund from you and I would like to know why thet never recieved my reservation. This is not the first time this has happened to me and my wife, I am ready to file a complaint with the BBB and Texas Attorney General of Texas.
- Raleigh (1/5): My short sentence is that I had no stay due to booking.com not completing the reservation. - I did not like that booking.com never made my reservation with Rodeway Inn and I was left without a room that I already paid for.
- Jacob (1/5): Bad - Nothing The fact that my room had bedbugs
- Burley (1/5): Bad -
- David (6/5): - Its ok
- Darryl (1/5): Bad -
- Austin (2/5): - Everything was nasty and not working
- Rebecca (6/5): - I checked in and realized i had no towels, washclothes or trashcan. I went to front desk and let them i needed a towel, washclothes and trashcan. I was there for a softball tournament and asked if they could put in my room while I was gone. When i returned around 10 p.m. I still didnot have towels. I did not ask again I just used my own that i carry.
