Guest Reviews
- Martinez (9/5): - Good Nada
- Tamara (10/5): - Location was perfect for my needs, food and gas N/a
- skope (1/5): Worst hotel ever - Nothing. Hot water, comfy beds, cold refridgerator
- Roger (8/5): My stay . - Location was ideal. No complaints.
- Tina (8/5): - Clean, professional.
- Diana (10/5): - They were very hospitable to my parents. Thank you.
- Lisa (4/5): Disappointing - Clean comfortable Person running it was rude we got their at 330 pm told us just had carrots clean we could not go to our rooms come back later do not walk around on carpet while it was as wet no smoking we had a smoking room
- Helen (7/5): It was a nice, clean room, but the walls were thin, so it was noisy. - Bed was good. Room was a good size. Fridge worked well. It was nice and clean. No breakfast - kind of a bummer. No microwave or coffee maker. The worst thing was I could hear someone's TV and coughing all night long! Ugh. I think the hotel should tell guests not to have their tv on all night.
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - The bed was very comfortable clean Nothing
- Jane (2/5): Yelled at by manager.Dingy rooms. Not as advertised - I had a disappointing and negative experience here.
Firstly, photos do not accurately represent the room I stayed in. My room was dingy. I think clean, but so dingy that it didn't appear that way. It was the kind of bathroom that made me go, nah, I'll skip a shower.
The mattress was comfortable; I'll give them that.
I called before booking a reservation to get their pet policy as I was traveling with 2 small dogs, under 30lbs combined. I was told yes, they accept pets, that there was a pet deposit that would be refunded so long as there was no damage. That was not the case. The owner charged $28.50/per pet and there was no refund. Also, when trying to explain that I had called and what I had been told the owner just yelled at me saying each pet is charged and no refunds over and over at me. It's one thing to not compromise. It's another to not listen. I think it quite rude to yell, repeatedly at someone. I understand needing a place to stay and that options are limited. I just want folks to know what they are getting.
- Mccullough (8/5): Very good -
- Theresa (4/5): - The bed was a very nice and comfortable bed I think it was the only thing new in the whole room, there was spackle all over the walls the couch in the room was dilapidated and ripped, and over all it was very outdated I felt as if I was in a room from 1970’s will not stay there again.
- gary (10/5): - Amazing area store within walking distnace places close by to eat
- Steve (10/5): - Quite comfortable.
- Joseph (8/5): - Comfortable
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- George (5/5): Passable -
- Della (1/5): Do NOT recommend - The bed The room was very hot when we arrived. The bathroom was dirty and had spiders. The couch was very dirty and stained. I arrived the night before to pay for an extra night and the owner kept trying to get me to cancel my other night that was already paid for. I would have lost money. And he would not allow me to use the same credit card on file. I could barely understand him. The next day I was locked out of my room because he had not checked in my second night that was already paid for. I will NOT go back!
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Quincy (8/5): - Property is old with several stains in the carpet. The mini fridge wouldn't turn on and the vent in the bathroom didnt work with wires hanging from it. The bed was clean and the ac was cold and thats all I really needed. It was good for a shower and safe place to sleep but dont count on extras. Room was priced accordingly.
- Tommy (4/5): Good luck! - Might be the only hotel in Corning, and it’s pretty rough. Refrigerator did not work, holes in the sheets, sink holes in the mattress, and something was growing on the couch. Shower, toilet, and sink worked fine.
- Debbie (10/5): Rock The Country Weekend - Beds very Comfortable. Great shower pressure. Cold AC. Clean and comfy This isn't your 5 star hotel. It's old expect some Knicks but overall it's all we needed
- Angela (6/5): - This place was an outdated run down dump. Pieces of the doors were missing. The toilets were not cleaned. The floors were dirty. There was pieces of the walls that had been punched in. We paid a lot of money each night to stay in this rundown place. The guy checking me in was very nice, but this property is horrible, do not recommend anyone to stay here
- Hang (9/5): Superb -
- Miranda (6/5): - For the limited number of options in this rural area of Arkansas, I really can't complain. For what it was for the price point, it was fine. Everything in nearby Pocahontas was booked. I arrived at 9pm and the proprietor seemed earnest in wanting to make my stay was pleasant. It IS dated, yet seems to do the best they can with what it is... an older roadside motel. It was tidy, quiet and felt safe. Bed was clean and comfortable. I know other reviews say it needs a deep clean. Truth is, overall updating, the touch of someone with a sense of decorating, fresh paint and new carpeting would fix all of that. Also, someone who knows about properly hanging art in a room would be help it look more "pulled together." Would suggest proprietor plug in refrigerator and turn on AC in anticipation of guest's arrival. Fridge takes so long to get cold. Wasn't able to transfer stuff from my cooler into the fridge right away. Parking is easy. Walking distance to dining. Gas stations next door. Overall, it is the "little motel that could", meaning, with some thoughtful updates, it could be a really fine nostalgic stop!
- Kathy (9/5): Superb -
- Ross (7/5): Good -
- dickerin (10/5): A nice cross-country stay - Driving cross-country, the Park View Motel was right where I needed it to be. It is actually right next to a park. The room was perfectly clean and everything worked although the water pressure in the sink was a bit low. It is a budget motel which was appreciated after spending gobs of money on my trip.
- Gary (8/5): Very good - Bad power extension
- Jim (10/5): - Room was neat and clean. Great value for the price.
- Amelia (10/5): We went for the eclipse, and it was a great stay. They allowed us to sit on their front grass . - We did not have breakfast, but it was a great stay for us. Would have liked a non smoking room, but it was pretty full when we got there so it is understandable.
- Rita (2/5): - For the price we had to pay the place was a dump. There was a bullet hole in the window and a fly in the bed.
- Dena (8/5): - Easy check-in, convenient location and walking distance to food, stores.
- Lisa (8/5): No ice - Bed very comfy clean but no ice so if you need ice bring your own
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (8/5): Very good -
- George (8/5): - Bathroom could be remodeled.
- Sergei (6/5): Pleasant -
- Earl (7/5): Nice - Nice place Location
- Jessica (6/5): We would stay again. - It's was a nice little motel. Cleaner than what I was expecting. It's not fancy like the new chains of motels, but that was ok for us. Could upgrade to queen beds.
- C.i (1/5): Bad -
- Timothy (4/5): Don't stay here - The bed was clean and comfortable. Hotel has seen better days, a long time ago. For the price of this hotel I stayed at far cleaner and better hotels. This is a low grade hotel and not worth the price paid.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Meh - Could use a deep clean and serious updates. No roaches or mice so it could've been worse
- Thressa (9/5): Superb - Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was professional and pleasant to deal with. We will be staying here in future as we travel through. Good value.
- Joe (6/5): - It was easy access to the highway and still was quiet. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was dirty on the floor around the toilet and could use better lighting at the vanity. The price was reasonable.
- Robert (5/5): Passable - Location was excellent Very old facility, could use updated tubs. Slight mold smell.
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Robert (4/5): - I felt the receptionist was rude, asking questions regarding dogs and smoking, then asking again as if I was lying. (???!!!) I'm on a motorcycle which was in plain site, and I don't smoke.
The hot water is Luke warm so the shower after a long ride, nearly 10 hours was very disappointing. The room is ok except for the broken mirror and lack of modern day usb charging ability.
- Peggy (8/5): We normally stay here when we are in Corning, good location - no complimentary breakfast, no coffee pot in room, Parkview Restaurant is next door, so we ate there 3 times, plus another location once. sink faucet. dripped we had 3 guest in room but only supplied with 2 towels.
- Tamara (10/5): - Room very clean, bed comfortable ... frig, microwave- a coffee pot would be nice "}
Convenient to local food places, gas stations and the park to walk,
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christiaan (8/5): - Pretty basic but overall decent
- Donald (9/5): Superb -
- Franey (6/5): Very clean and comfortable. - No breakfast or even coffee. No hot water for the shower.
- Hillary (8/5): - Staff was very polite when checking in. Room wasn’t anything fancy but just enough for a quick stay at overnight. Overall good experience.
- Shelly (10/5): - It was nice
- Sonya (8/5): Motel stay - The room was clean however this is an older motel that needs renovation. I should have researched further. Bathroom was clean but in much need of improvements. The front desk associate was very nice.
- Rev. (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (4/5): Sad - You get what you pay for
- Chris (8/5): All in all it was a good place to stay and I would stay again. - The wifi worked well and the AC worked really well. Located close to resteraunts and convenience stores. The TV volume wasn't the best had to turn it to 50 to hear it. The people in the room behind me woke me up a couple times moving stuff around in the middle of the night.
- Tamara (9/5): Was only there to sleep, but always cleaned and fresh linens when I came back. I had no major issue - Room was clean and neat, no smell in the room, carpet didn't feel tacky, could not hear anyone on the other side of the room when someone was there. Bathroom was still in good shape, just needed a little updating. Lighting over the vanity sink needs to be brighter
- Tracy (5/5): Passable - The room was big and comfortable for the price although it was not it the best of shape it was clean with a few repairs it would be very nice. The check out time was 10am and we arrived late. I asked of we could stay till 11am (like 99% of hotel check out times and was told I would have to pay $20 more! If the hotel was booked I might understand but there was only 2 cars in the parking lot. The hotel was basically empty!
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doris (2/5): - I never went booked a week early was in wrong state manager didnt refund totally disgusted. Expedia hung up on me while trying to file insurance claim. Doubt that I will use expedia again. Disgusting customer service 😡😡😡
- Karen (5/5): Passable - The bed was comfortable Not very clean.. carpet, tub and bathroom ceiling and walls dirty. Bathroom ceiling vent open with no cover. No blow dryer in room
- Corey (2/5): ROACHES! STAY AWAY! - ROACHES!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! ROACHES!!!
Well, to start the attendant was drunk. Offered me a beer. When I refused and said I prefer to smoke weed. He insisted on putting me in a smoking room, which I refused, as I had no intention of smoking anything in the facility. The next morning I killed a cockroach in my bathroom. As I left the facility and returned my key I informed the hungover attendant of his pest problem.
Two weeks later I find out he charged my company card $300 for allegedly smoking weed in the room. I called to request a receipt of the charge as per my boss, and he was so drunk he couldn't even understand my email address (which is really simple.) Overall, my experience with this drunken con artist was terrible. I will never stay here again and you shouldn't either!
- Thomas (10/5): - Staff was especially helpful and accomodating.
- John (10/5): Great Value for the Money - This motel is a great find. It is older but clean and comfortable. It is a safe area and there are several places to eat nearby. Don’t spend your honeymoon here as it is rather basic. But it is an excellent value for the money. The rooms are clean and there are absolutely no bedbugs. I checked down to the mattress and the mattress was new. The TV was a little bit hard to use, but part of it was that I am not used to cable TV. The shower was warm but not hot. And there is no coffee or coffee pot. A 10 AM Checkout is too early, but I asked and they gave me until 11 AM. The owner was very friendly and helpful. My check-in experience was fast and pleasant.
- Jake (4/5): - Owner was upset about late checkin and unwilling to allow late checkout. This place is fine if you can get there before 11 PM and be out by 10 AM.
- Amy (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean ,comfortable room
- Norman (10/5): - Staff was so friendly and helpful. Room was neat and clean
- Phillip (4/5): - The queen beds were really full size beds. The room was cold when we arrived. We had to run the heat for two hours before the room was warm. There were only 2 towels even though we booked for 4 people.
- Violeta (10/5): - I had an amazing restful sleep. The checkin was flawless and the room impecable.
- Xapis (4/5): - Smelled liked harsh insecticide. TRAIN horn noise nearby. Thin walls.
- Sonja (2/5): - I never checked in will not use Expedia again they ask for $100 cash for deposit in case of damages really so I lost $62 I did not stay due to the fact they ask for cash
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was disgusting! My sister and I were in town for a funeral. Very dated but that could've been overlooked if it wasnt so nasting! There was nasty ladies granny panties left in dresser drawer. We did not stay here, immediately took the room key back to the office. I told the man we were not staying here.... he said ok. And we left! I didnt even ask for a refund i wss so disgusted but he certainly didnt offer either.
- Robin (6/5): - What you expect for a cheap motel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Facilities okay. No coffee in room. Bedding okay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was clean, no complaints, would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Electrical was not to code in any manner. Price was good for me.
- elisabeth (10/5): - I found this hotel to be very clean, it's a one floor motel with parking right to your door, it was quiet and a great location for getting back on highway. A hair dryer wasn't included, has fridge! And it was a very comfortable stay, hotel owner friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
The motel is old! It is clean and comfortable but doesn't look so good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - tv controler did not work too well curtains were stiff and hard move
- william (2/5): Only hotel in town - No hot water heat was so-so? Only hotel I town so what do you do?
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice quiet place to stay. Not bad priced.
Bathroom needed to be cleaned a little better.
- Gerald (6/5): Old hotel on a back roads state highway - This is a very OLD motel on a state highway that is heavily traveled by 18 wheelers. We were going to stay at another motel nearby but they had increased their rate dramatically for that night. When checking in at 6:00pm we dealt with an indifferent clerk thru an outside night window. When we entered the room the A/C had been turned off, the refrigerator was unplugged, and the room had an overpowering powdery type smell. We had to turn on the A/C, plug in the fridge, and use travel diffusers to make the room tolerable. On the plus side, the room was clean and well kept for an older motel and the bed was comfortable. I would not recommend the motel unless staying in the area on a budget. We will not be staying there again.
- RICHARD (8/5): Nice room for price. - Slept well, internet was great. Some areas needed to be dusted.
- Tanner (8/5): Great time - I was very impressed with our stay here and I plan on coming back in the future!
- Michael (8/5): N - Surprisingly good
- Jeremy (8/5): - Decent price
- Matthew (6/5): - i was trying to do payroll and there was no internet service. when i asked the clerk i was told “it works with my phone but not always with my granddaughter laptop”. i had to go to a different hotel. i assume they will refund as promised
- Rver_AR (6/5): Good plate lunch at restaurant - Home-cooking obviously frequented by the locals.Old building with funky but clean bathrooms. Bustling at noon today. Nice friendly staff. Plate lunches came out quickly and were cheap. Pretty tasty too. Not the best ever had but certainly not the worst either. Quick stop for lunch enroute home to LR after 3-wk. RV trip. Places across the street roomy enough for parking big rig.
- AndyB5324 (8/5): Nice budget motel - Friendly family owned motel. It's very convenient and close by to a good diner and a park in the back. I was there to see some friends for a weekend recently and I didn't want to burden them for a place to stay - so I stayed with this good motel. We went over to the gulf course for while and out to Mom's lake for some fishing. I caught 2 fish and my friends caught a few as well.
- garnetfire (8/5): Big rooms great location - My husband and I stayed here for several weeks due to his job. The room was very large and it was right next door to a restaurant. The water was not hot enough and they would not turn it up. Mainly working men stayed here.
- 934stuartk (6/5): Family reunion - The place is not special or nice but work for the purpose. We stayed for the 4th of July and our reunion family. That was three days and two nights.
The mosquitos are terrible but everywhere all around the city is .:)
Even knowing how is the place they could make a little upgrade on the bathrooms .
- DIVINEPERCEPTIONS (6/5): Not a Bad Place to Stay on a Budget - These people are very kind that run the place. It is a older motel, but doable. They will work with you on price. I think we rented it for about $50 a night plus tax. There is a great park for the kiddos to play on just behind this motel. And a nice diner restaurant right next door. Restaurant is popular with the locals. Convenient for sure.
- ramairrocket (2/5): bad - When I stayed at the Park View Motel, the room smelled bad, the bathroom was tiny and the shower was duck taped together, the toilet was not put in properly, there were dead mosquitos everywhere on the walls, the wall had scratches and holes, the bolt lock on the door didn’t even work, the window to the outside was cracked, and there was a huge bug on the wall that got in from the outside. The hotel was so old and run down that there were places where bugs could come into the room to get warm. They also charged 55 bucks to stay in the room
- billk429 (8/5): Room 5 - When was an adequate size older motel desk clerk did not speak much English lobby had strong odor of curry
Plenty of restaurants in the area wal-mart across the street
Chamber of Commerce was right beside the motel
- Traveler19035 (8/5): Great for passing through - Very thankful they take customers in at any time considering it was almost 1 am when we came through. they got us in a room right away and it was surprisingly very nice and roomy! No complaints on this place!
