The kitchen was well-equipped, but it had no freezer. There was an issue with my initial booking and the host wouldn't help me. The conpartments for our bags couldn't be locked and the room was super loud to use.

- Novriana (8/5): Great value for money - We enjoyed our stay at Haka House Taupō. The common facilities were sufficient and clean. It’s also conveniently located close to a supermarket, which made things very easy for us. The bathroom inside our room was okay—small, but still functional and comfortable enough for our stay. The room itself was also a bit small, so we didn’t bring our luggage inside (we only stayed for 1 night). One small challenge was the stairs, which might be a bit tricky if you have heavy luggage. Also, it was our own oversight that we didn’t pay attention to the limited laundry hours at night, so we missed the chance to use it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

And sometimes they were getting up early in the morning and every footstep was superloud, so if was impossible to sleep. But it wasn’t their fault, they were not superloud, just really bad isolation I guess.

- Susanne (6/5): Für eine Nacht gerade ok, länger nicht - Zentral, Zimmer hatte eine Heizung (die auch notwendig war) Es ist wie eine Art Motel oder Container gestaltet. Mein Einzelzimmer war winzig und die Bäder waren sehr kalt und auch nicht immer sauber. Was ich sehr frech fand war, dass man (nicht einmal für 2 Stunden) sein Gepäck kostenlos aufbewahren lassen kann nach dem Check out, es wurde eine Gebühr von 4 Dollar verlangt (ziemlich lächerlich und so auch noch nie erlebt). Zudem habe ich wohl (was ich erst nach Abreise bemerkte) eine schlafmaske im Zimmer vergessen. Obwohl ich noch mehrere Stunden nach dem auschecken im gemeinschaftsraum war (was das Personal wusste) und sie mein Zimmer gesäubert haben, haben sie mir die Maske nicht gegeben…
