My recent stay here was more than just a booking; it was a genuine experience of Ugandan hospitality that felt both personal and professional. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by several key highlights: The Atmosphere: Finding a spot in a bustling city that manages to be truly quiet and serene is a rarity. Mt. Zion offers a peaceful retreat that allows you to recharge fully after a long day of meetings or sightseeing. The Staff: "Hospitable" is an understatement. The team here is incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting guests with the kind of warmth that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Quality & Comfort: The rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, striking that perfect balance between modern functionality and a cozy, "home-away-from-home" feel. Exceptional Value: In a city where prices can skyrocket for quality accommodation, the rates here are remarkably reasonable. You truly get premium service without the luxury price tag. Zia (5/5): A below average facility at the heart of Kampala. - The Staffs were great and helpful. The breakfast was okay. -The front porch and backyard was pretty bad -Their facilities were bad, the water flow in the shower was not good, the towels were worn out, the electricity key was getting turn off automatically -The rooms were kinda old -The price compared to the facilities were simply bad in my opinion.

Van (7/5): Good - The staff was really helpful. I had to change rooms both nights I stayed and the staff were able to get another room within a few minutes. It is a 10 minute walk from the East Africa Craft market. A great place to buy souvenirs. The rooms were a bit old. The main issue with the first room for each day I stayed was the power didn't work properly with the room card. The restaurant had good choices but quite expensive in comparison to other options in the area.

Gerald (4/5): A nightmare in Kampala - This was a terrible hotel. They had hidden prices that was added later. They ballooned the exchange rates so I had to pay more for everything. They totally take advantage of tourists. I would advise people to stay away from this place.

Steven (6/5): Great room, clean, but not in a very nice area - The hotel is quite nice inside. Very clean. The room was large and very clean. The mattress was quite comfortable and there was air conditioning! Although it is not the hotel's fault, the location is not quite so nice. The road it is off of and the road it overlooks from the room are very busy with shops and locals walking around. If you are a foreigner it can feel quite unsafe to be in a massive crowd of people shouting at you while walking or driving by. In fact, around 7:30pm, just after dark, my wife and I drove down this road to the hotel and it was crazy. Drunk people shouting at us and banging on our car. If we were walking I would not have been surprised if we were robbed or physically harrassed, especially my wife. So as long as you arrive and leave during daylight by car, it is not so bad. But I personally would spend a little more money and not have the stress of the questionable location. If you are a local, then it is probably perfectly fine. But if you are a local, then I highly doubt you are actually booking through Expedia!
