My mom had a specific drink in mind but didn’t know how it was made, just a couple of ingredients. The bartender, Chuck and the manager were so accommodating and made a delicious beverage my mom loved. We got the hummus plate and it was the perfect accompaniment to our drinks. The pace of service was perfect and the team was attentive. We stopped by the front desk on our way out and as we had some questions and they too, were lovely and very helpful. Will definitely be back.

The lobby provides numerous couches to relax and work, with coffee served at all hours (necessary, since I was operating on East Coast time). The "social hour" at Local Jones--and the complementary glass of wine--was much appreciated! And the rooftop heated pool and hot tub made my business trip into a much needed vacation.

- Flyer50003053924 (2/5): Horrible Experience- Don't Stay Here!!! - It was a horrible experience, the rooms smelt like sewage. The room was also hot and wouldn't cool down. Our room had a balcony, and it was above an alley that had homeless people that had gone to the bathroom many times and it smelt horrible, like death. We also had to leave early before our reservation was up and they wouldn't refund our money for those two nights, it was way too expensive for what you got. I would not stay here ever, and we will never stay here again.

The staff delivered true 5-star service, warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive. Whether it was room service arriving quickly or even a simple request like extra Kleenex, everything was handled with speed and care. The food was outstanding, the rooftop amenities and views are spectacular, and the entire atmosphere felt like the crème de la crème of boutique hotel stays. Every detail was thoughtful, polished, and welcoming. The location is equally fantastic, within easy walking distance of beautiful botanical gardens, wonderful fine dining restaurants, a mall, and even a Whole Foods right next door. It made exploring the area effortless and added so much to the overall experience. A truly blissful stay in a beautiful hotel. I cannot wait to return!! Beautifully decorated, located in the Cherry Creek area and surrounded by lovely boutique shops and restaurants (but why go anywhere else when they have lots of dining options). Water filling stations throughout the property, fresh fruit for your enjoyment, amazing rooftop views of the Rockies. The service is top notch especially Ray at the front desk. I loved the record players in the rooms—and the fact that you can actually use them. Thanks for a wonderful experience and can’t wait to make it back.

- 284jnl (2/5): Fraudulent $500 smoking charge ruined stay - Had a great time until the front desk notified us by text at 11:30pm the evening before checkout that we were being charged an extra $500 for a "smoking event" earlier that day in our room. My husband and I are both healthcare professionals in our late 30s, have never smoked or vaped, and I'm currently 36.5 weeks pregnant. We thought surely discussing with the front desk manager the next morning they would realize the mistake and resolve the charge. Nope. The manager just handed us a piece of paper showing their "report" and doubled down that it picks up smoking and vaping and we owe $500. At no point did a member of hotel staff come to the room to inspect it or verify anything. The manager said she couldn’t make any changes to the bill but we can speak with someone else on Tuesday. Great- I’ll add that to my list of things to do before I deliver. I can't express how ridiculous it feels to be accused of something like this at a business where we chose to spend a lot of money and were essentially called liars. I’ve seen two similar reviews for this hotel posted in the last few months, and The Points Guy just posted a full article on fraudulent charges of this type at multiple hotels using this technology last month. We won’t be letting the issue go. This totally ruined the last day of our staycation before the baby comes. It’s unfortunate the Halcyon handled this so poorly. We were planning to come back in a few months, enjoy the pool and rent a cabana, had even recommended the hotel to family coming to visit in June who booked a 5 night stay (which they will be canceling after hearing how we were treated). We will never come back to the Halcyon.

I was greeted promptly and they even had complimentary wine and beer for happy hour. They even had Christmas Carolers in the lobby. The hotel had a very contemporary and luxurious feel to it. My room had everything I needed in it. It had some nice touches like a robe, books, record player, Netflix and snacks. I got the best sleep on their comfortable bed and it was also quiet. There is a lot of great shopping and restaurants close to the hotel. I chose to dine at The Local Jones connected to the hotel. I sat at the bar and had the best hospitality experience from Erin. Eating alone can be boring at times and she was very engaging. They have a great food/cocktail menu with many options. I was hoping to get into their Speakeasy, but it was booked for the night because I heard it is a popular spot to go to. So I decided to check out the rooftop bar and there is a pool, hot tub and even an ice skating rink up there! This place has so many amenities! They had a room filled with sporting equipment, bikes and even a telescope to rent out. Each floor had complimentary water and fruit. They even have passes for the zoo, botanic gardens and distillery tours. You can even get a courtesy luxury vehicle within a 3 mile radius! The valet service was very accommodating with your car and bags. I received very welcoming service from Nick and Ben. So I had to back for breakfast at The Local Jones. My omlette and fruit were fresh and tasty. The green juice and the espresso martini were the highlight along with great service from Kendal. Carolyn made my checkout easy and answered all my questions. She was even helping me with the distillery reservation. I received superior customer service and enjoyed my stay so much I didn't want to leave! Definitely worth staying at if you are looking for something unique.

The suite is well appointed with great views of Denver and Cherry Creek. There was even a peloton in the master which I loved. So convenient. - A4589EFjohnl (2/5): Great stay turned sour. - Our experience was destroyed by an accusation of smoking at checkout. The lady said a sensor indicated smoking in the room and she was obliged to charge us a $500 fee. We don’t smoke anything. I let the individual know there must be a mistake as I have asthma and two type of inhalers. I said the room didn’t smell of any smoke. She said the sensor didn’t need a smell of smoke to go off. I said her staff was welcome to come in the room, take a look. And, that I’d show her my inhalers for good measure. The response was essentially she didn’t know me, what I did, etc. and as a courtesy she could remove half the charge. The idea that the sensor itself was faulty or that there could have been an alternative explanation where the guest was not at fault was not considered. This is exceptionally poor training for a hospitality professional. When I asked to speak to the manager she was the manager (of course!). It was only after a bonfide threat to call the police that she removed the charge. I found this whole situation entirely preventable and rather easy to solve. Just go check the room out! Maybe believe a guest when they can legit show a medication that would be highly correlated with a sensitivity to smoke and use some deduction? The accusatory tone, unwillingness to explore the situation or consider alternative explanations was not acceptable. There are probably multiple explanations including a faulty sensor itself. The lady said she’d never dealt with this situation. Well, I can tell you she didn’t deal with this one well. Probably a nice person, just poorly trained to be in a management position at a property that positions itself as a luxury boutique. The only thing I can think of is now is maybe my wife’s curling iron? Who knows! But this place is definitely not one I’d go back to.

Upscale, classy, clean. Not only did it have a great mood- the staff went above and beyond. I left my iMac charger in the room- and the front desk coordinated a pick up for me AND got lunch for me to go from the restaurant. That level of customer service is just unheard of. The room was clean, comfortable, and super trendy. I will 100% be staying here on all of my future trips, business OR pleasure! I really want to come back and eat at the delish restaurant again too- I had all of my meals there. Thank you thank you!! You guys are incredible.

- MEHappyPlace (8/5): Great Hotel but a few odd furnishing choices - Will start with: Really liked this hotel and will undoubtedly stay there again. However a few unfortunate choices got in the way of five stars: 1. Most rooms have no desks. That is a bit of a nonstarter if here for business or otherwise want to be productive. Make sure to ask for a desk, worst case I think they can roll some kind of coffee table thing in that can function as a desk but not ideal. 2. The bed: this is very subjective so did not affect my rating but I found it to be way too soft and lumpy. Seems to have some kind of feather bed like topper. Very difficult if you are a stomach sleeper, somewhat problematic if a side sleeper , great if you are a back sleeper. Others love the bed. 3. Toilets - very low pressure flushing. It would be a good idea to replace the toilets. It is the flush design of the toilet not the water pressure. 4. Coffee bar - love it, along with the wine and pastries. But just a bad idea to have the person manning the desk handling making lattes. When you are checking in or out the last thing you want is to wait for somebody getting a latte. Staff was great, location was great, vibe was great, restaurants great, but these things need to be addressed.
- davidrS2543AG (10/5): Unique and cozy Hotel offering amenities you won't find at the larger chains! - Staying at the Halcyon was an excellent choice for us; we had contemplated the Clio or Jacquard, which are both close, but opted instead for the Halcyon based on the amenities and intimate elements that didn't seem to exist at the Marriott properties. We were blown away by the chic and fun decor and the amazing surprise in our room (for my birthday). The staff is amazing and the happy hour at the front desk was appreciated and excellent. This hotel understands the needs of travelers with fresh tap, hot and sparkling water outside all the elevators on each floor, and fresh fruit, tea and newspapers each morning. The location is also fantastic with shopping and restaurants close. We will definitely return!

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyable restaurant/bar off lobby. Rooms are very nicely appointed and quiet. The roof top hot tub was very relaxing and glad that it had not been closed for the winter. Parking/valet staff always very helpful. This trip in to Denver from Breckenridge we were assisted by Alesando and Sam at curb side making our entrance and exit non-stressful. We've stayed here many times and always look forward to our next visit.

Some of the staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for you while some of the others were clearly unhappy to be there and really unhelpful. Hotel rooms are nice but not much for views. The floors had a real cannabis smell to them. Overall, the experience was generally positive and the hotel area is incredible.

The rooftop staff was amazing, and the pizza was absolutely top tier! A huge shoutout to Mike, who went above and beyond to help me surprise my girlfriend. He walked me through how to order everything for delivery, coordinated the most beautiful balloon decorations, and handled all my stressed, annoying phone calls with so much patience. Truly a lifesaver! And Bailey — wow! He made my girlfriend feel so seen and special, even surprising her with a complimentary bottle of wine. Thanks to both of them, she had an unforgettable birthday and we had such a memorable stay. I’m genuinely grateful for the exceptional service. Highly recommend!
- KenB472 (10/5): Great hotel / Great staff - This is a point hotel in every way. The hotel sits in a perfect location of Denver. Very vibrant and walkable. The room and bathroom were exceptional. Loved the coffee table that serves as a desk as well. Of course the hydration station was in a perfect spot Our check in experience was perfection Thank you to Ray and Jordan for educating on the hotel’s offerings. We enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant. Emily guided on menu selections. I saved the best for last. The valet team is one of the best we ever experienced Jordan remembered us each time. The best that we crossed paths with was Alejandro. He was the most engaging with us. He was sincere and took an interest in us. I witnessed him opening the exterior door for the restaurant. He is a keeper. Thank you for a great visit!
- cn030362 (10/5): Nice facility wonderful staff! - My husband and I came to Denver for a series of medical appointments. We stayed for five nights and were very impressed with the facility and service we received. The shining star was a young man named Bailey he was so friendly and helpful. Remembered our names and enthusiastically greeted us each time we walked through the door for which we were very grateful after a long day of grueling medical tests it was a wonderful way to end our day. I also want to give a shout out to the valet staff especially Joey and Alejandro I didn’t always have change for a tip and it never seemed to bother them they were always helpful and friendly each time we picked up or dropped off our vehicle.
- annieP6 (10/5): Warmth and Hospitality at Halcyon - Per usual, we had a wonderful stay at our home away from home at Halcyon!!! The Front Desk staff makes all the difference. They realize this touchpoint is vital for making guests feel seen, and welcomed. On this day, the welcome spirit or espresso was especially enjoyed (rosé). This trip was a bittersweet homecoming for a memorial. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when coming to my hometown of Denver. Halcyon is beloved by me, my kids and my husband. With Local Joes and Quality Italian, not sure how you could stay anywhere else!!! - 548isaac (10/5): Amazing weekend getaway - This hotel is amazing. From the second you pull up to valet, to check in, to the roof top pool. The pool bartender was an employee and server you wished you had everywhere. The hotel itself is worth every penny. Every restaurant around the hotel is a must visit. Hotel staff is the best. We canceled our reservations at a different hotel for 3 weeks later and rebooked the halcyon!!!

- Daylynn (10/5): - Amazing stay at the Halycon for a night of fun in Cherry Creek! Parking, of course, was over what we wanted to pay. Staff was nice enough, they did not mention our perk at Check In and I had to remind them to apply it at Check Out. They had an amazing rooftop heated pool. However, the pool was warmer then the hot tubs. We highly recommend having dinner at the Saltwater Social (at corner outside of hotel). Also, if you are looking for a nice place for a night cap with a great atmosphere head over to the Forget Me Not (about a block away). We did order room service breakfast and it was awesome, you may even want to split something, it was very large portions. We definitely recommend the cinnamon roll that was the size of my head. Soooo YUMMY!
- jtS3983AG (4/5): Professional and Public Embarrassment - It was a decent hotel but a little overrated. I had an embarrassing and disappointing experience during breakfast when the head server invited me to take a seat “anywhere” and the rushed me away when I attempted to take the seat of my choice. No explanation was given beside a theatrical display of hands forbidden me to sit in that area. It felt like the 1960’s cafeteria scene in the south. I should have walked out. That’s was my own regret. When I mentioned it to the manager he seemed dismissive. I had texted him earlier but he did not respond so I approached the front desk at which point his response was….yeah I spoke to him about and provided an lame excuse then offered to take something off the bill…like dropping coins into an open guitar case of a street vendor. It was insulting! I will not return and will suggest that my business partner provide another option for traveling professionals

- 692alexaf (10/5): Chris was amazing staff and very helpful during our stay - Chris from valet was super nice to us and really helpful, my partner and I were visiting out of state and asked a couple questions about the area and he gave us great recommendations and directions on how to get there, helping us a couple days making our stay be more enjoyable and fun. The hotel restaurant staff was also really nice and friendly when we dined in, and the food was amazing, 10/10 I would stay here again.
- margec118 (10/5): Outstanding ! The Halcyon will be our spot when we return to Denver - This was our third stay at the hotel. The room was clean , very comfortable, and layout was quite good. The bathroom was spacious and the walk in shower with the two different heads was fabulous. The staff especially Ray was competent and warm in an authentic way. We approached Ray several times during our stay and each time we were impressed with how they responded to our needs. We met Mike M as we checked out with Ray and Mike was personable and attentive. Ray also happened to be the person to check us out and the process couldn’t not have been better. The location of the hotel is another reason we chose to stay there for a third visit. It is walking distance to great shops and restaurants and easy to get to wherever you are coming from.

It's a fantastic place to stay, with modern amenities and rooms, great food and very caring and attentive staff. Shout out to Margot who made sure our stay was everything we needed and then some. The location and surrounding stores and restaurants make this the play to stay when in Denver. Great social hour beers, activities. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

- J3532ERnancyh (2/5): USE TO BE MY FAVE - Make sure you compare their regular priced room from their 'regular' calendar to the very same room on the 'deal' calendar. Also, look at your receipts BEFORE you leave their lobby!! I was double charged by the rooftop restaurant and in the end the waitress got a 50% tip and I? No response or refund. (Just one of 3 billing errors on their part.) No need to respond management since you didn't to the last two emails I sent you.
- emlingti (10/5): Just go there, it's great. - Last minute decision to stay in Denver on our Anniversary weekend, Krzysztof and Ray made it the highlight of our quick weekend. The staff and accommodations were excellent. The location is fantastic, the hotel is beautiful and thoughtfully laid out and stocked. Our new go to for a place to stay in Denver. 10/10
