Guest Reviews
- kimberly (10/5): - The bed was great. Pet friendly
- Reggie (10/5): - We missed location it was dark
They stood outside with a flashlight to guide us correct
On top of that made checking in process fast so the family can rest
- Margarita (10/5): - Had everything as described. Nice.
- Mary (6/5): - I liked that I was able to get a cabin at the last minute on a holiday weekend. The owners were very pleasant and made check-in easy.
The cabin was a nice size and the chairs and bed were mostly comfortable. (Bed had a sag in the middle.)
THe bathroom configuration was unusual and made access to the sink less than desirable but was workable. The towels were musty smelling. The shower was good but the curtain not long enough. I flooded the bathroom floor until I figured out how to direct the shower head.
Basically, it was a good enough place for us to stay for one night enroute home from a two week vacation.
- TJ (10/5): - Quiet place to stay right by wolf creek pass. The owner was very nice and had everything ready for us.Nice clean, cozy cabin.
- Cassandra (6/5): - I met my brother at this location after we both drove across country to see one another. After visiting for a short while in the parking lot, my brother moved his truck off the main driveway since we were checking in that day. (A sign was posted at the front office that if we wanted assistance, we could call a number).
A man exited the office and with an accusatory tone, declared that we were not allowed to park there. He was angry and didn't ask any questions. He assumed we were trying to take advantage of him and went on to tell stories of others throught the years who had tried to park there. After he was finished, we responded that we had reservations and would like to park there as hotel guests. He began defending himself but never apologized for assuming the worst about his guests.
We had to make a special trip to the local market for soap, and coffee since that was not provided. Older mismatched towels were provided in the otherwise clean cabin.
- Martha (10/5): - Owner super friendly. Loved that they are pet friendly. Stay was great. Enjoyed the area.
- judy (10/5): - Lovely warm and cozy cabin; everything was there - cutlery, plates, pans, glasses, clean-up supplies; comfortable chairs; USB charging; super-friendly check-in; excellent recommendation for dinner (Ramone's; sad they were not open early for our breakfast!). Would be nice to have some tea and coffee fixings ... Would happily stay there again.
- Tanya (10/5): Great little place - Lovely little campground/cabins! Owner was super helpful and friendly and went out of his way to accommodate my needs. Cabin is homey, clean, comfortable bed! Highly recommend!
- Mark (10/5): - Very friendly staff who seemed to truly care about our comfort.
- jason (10/5): - Very nice people
- Colton (10/5): Amazing - It was perfect and we will be back!!
- Maria (10/5): cozy cabin - very spacius cabin ,comfortable and the owners very friendly
- Kenneth (10/5): - Very nice. Quiet and cozy!
- Margaret R (4/5): - Rustic cabin. The sofas were older and not clean. Kitchen was fine. There were dog kibbles on the floor of one bedroom, crumbs and detritus under the sofas, bedding and curtains were old as were towels and washcloths. The carpeting in the bedrooms had not been thoroughly vacuumed. The odor of multiple dogs created a fug in the cabin air. The cabin just wasn't clean. Very disappointing.
- Robert (10/5): - Stay was good, but was not happy with Travelocity's significant price increase.
- Theresa (10/5): - Our one night stay at the cabin was wonderful and the owner was so nice! We will definitely be going back to stay here!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay and nice owners! - This is a great location and the town of South Fork offers all we needed--restaurants, grocery store, gas station, wildlife and not much traffic! The room was small but comfortable and the kitchen was good. The bathroom in our cabin was nice, but crowded. It worked for us, but older folks might find it difficult. The owners were absolutely delightful!
- Tracey (10/5): - Everyone was very friendly and the cabin was clean and cute.
- Paul (8/5): - Older cabin that owners have worked hard to make comfortable and worked quite well for us. Clean and well equipped.
- Kathleen (4/5): - Vary disappointed with it over-all for the price.
- Stan (8/5): - The cabins are rustic and fit the landscape well. The only down side is the bathroom. Very small bathroom, hard to move around. But otherwise a nice place.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Very well maintained property, I enjoyed my stay.
- Tomasz (8/5): - Great price and very convenient location.
- Amy (10/5): - Great place for our family to stay a couple nights and go ski in Wolf Creek:)) Owners friendly and great communication.
- Jay (10/5): - Great rooms! Very spacious, clean, and near to Wolf Creek. The owner was very helpful and responsive when we accidentally left a personal belonging behind. We would definitely come back!!
- Carpenter (10/5): - The owners were very nice and very accommodating! The room was quaint and really had a great cabin vibe!
- Amy (10/5): - Stayed overnight in this area. The cabin was very clean and the staff is very helpful. Would stay here again.
- Heather (10/5): - The cabins are super cute and incredibly spacious.
- Andrew S. (10/5): - Very clean & quite
- jodie (10/5): - The owners are very nice and friendly! They are a cute couple that seem to love what they do. Walked around the camp checking on guests to make sure they have what they needed and chat. Will definitely stay here again! Thanks!!
- Karen (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay! Owners were friendly and helpful! Cabin was excellent for our needs!!! An added bonus is they are pet friendly!!! Highly recommend staying here!!!
- Sara (10/5): Cute cabin - The cabin was cozy, all appliances worked and the cabinets were stocked with everything you might need to cook and eat with. Very quiet, nice hot shower, just the mattress on the beds were not quite comfortable with 2 people in it. They sag. But staff is awesome, and i will stay again if i go that way!
- Charles (10/5): - Nice comfy cabin. Friendly folks up front
- Ronny (10/5): 2 night stay - Very friendly folks at check in. Gave me helpful fishing advice. Very quiet area, never heard a sound in two nights. Cabins are rustic, but very well kept/clean and were perfect for us. Will be back next year for sure.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is well cared for and super quiet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just what we needed. Easy access to the river. The owners were friendly and helpful. We will probably return to South Fork Lodge.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The places had been remodeled! Very friendly and great price for the area! Definitely going back ;)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We decided to try different accommodations this year for our ski trip and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice. The property is run by a husband and wife couple that lives onsite. From the check-in process to anything we needed during our stay was spot on. The 2-bedroom lodge meet all of our expectations. I would strongly recommend this place!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful views, and loved the rustic old cabins. The family running this enjoy what they do and you can tell.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Cabin stay - Good location to access area skiing. The cabin was basic good, the bed not so good. I have stayed in other cabins in area at same price that were bit nicer.
- Julie (10/5): Close to Wolf Creek Ski Lodge - The owners maintain the property and are working to update their cabins. Friendly and helpful management, this was a great place to stay for what our family needed. It has a small kitchen, living room and two bedrooms and 1 bathroom. We were there to ski at Wolf Creek. We wanted a kitchen with stove, microwave, and refrigerator. Since the ski lodges can’t serve food or drink. We were able to prepare our meals to be able to take it to the ski lodge. It’s rustic, but comfortable for a family of 4.
- Mary (8/5): South Fork - It was a last minute booking and the accommodations were just fine. Would be better for a bigger group of people and was bummed the hot tub was broken and there was a half used bar of soap in the shower but, other than that it was a decent place to stay under a last minute decision to stay and ski another day.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I was anxious to book this room onExpedia because I had called and they didn’t answer. The owners of another place in South Fork recommended this place. I left a message and then decided to just go ahead and book the room anyway. The owner called me back and left a message saying that he saw my Expedia reservation but to call if I needed anything. I called and asked if the room was big enough for 5 of us and went on to tell him about my 80 year old dad needing his own bed and my two big teenagers that needed to have a lot of room as well. Anyway, I know I let them know there would be 5. When we got there they had added $40 to the price of the room because I said 1 and showed up with 5. It was the way
- Dietrich (8/5): Rustic cabin rental in outdoor mecca - I stayed at the South Fork Lodge & RV Park for one night between outdoor adventures. Dave and Suzette are very welcoming hosts and its clear that they take pride in both their operation and community. The cabins are rustic but comfortable, and convenient to everything that South Fork has to offer. Wifi was super fast. Note that these units are equipped for extended stays, with large kitchenettes (incuding dish soap, aluminum foil salt & pepper) but without things that an overnight traveler might need like bath soap or shampoo. These items are available at the Rainbow Market, right around the corner.
- multinightvisit (2/5): - There is no sound separation between units. Unless you get a single, stand alone cabin, you can hear every word your neighbors say. If your neighbors are disrespectful, you will not get any sleep
- Jim (8/5): - Great cabin
- Jim (10/5): - Beautiful cabin matched only by the service. Outstanding experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Like going back in time but very comfortable.had everything you need to have a good experience. Kitchen has good utensils to be like being at home. The hosts were very friendly and interested in your stay. Have stayed here before and will stay here again next time I’m in town,
- scott (10/5): - We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin, The unit was clean and comfortable with everything you need for a extended stay. Great location we went with family and friend to rides ATV, there are several trails you can access from the cabin, and many more just a short drive away.
This property is privately owned, the owner was always around and happy to assist us with anything we needed. They are new owners and are improving the property everyday.
This property was a great find for a relaxing vacation.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The cabin is very small, the outside is not very nice
- Leonard (10/5): Asome - Great service and great accommodation. I enjoy the three days there. Log cabin were perfect for the place.
