Not only is it in an amazing location — close to the train station and very walkable — but it was also very clean and comfortable. The people in charge are very welcoming, and as a solo traveler, I felt very safe during my stay. I’m planning to return to Oviedo, and if they have rooms available, I will definitely stay there again.

• Beatriz (10/5): Fantastic basecamp - The place was great, but what made it exceptional for me was the staff, the cleanliness and the location (and the windows!) The people I asked and talked to the most while I was there were Sergio and Helena, and they were lovely, professional and helpful (the owner too!) The room was spacious and very clean. The water pressure in the bathroom was good too. I got a street facing room, and I didn't even use the electric shutters at night because I loved the light from the street lamp through the tree, and the street was so quiet at night (I expected it to be louder on the weekend with people walking back from drinking in the old town, but it was super quiet too) Oviedo is a very small city, and this place is on the main Shopping street, a 5 minutes walk from the train station and less than 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral and the old part of town. There are plenty of very delicious restaurants around, but the Guesthouse has a room with a microwave, sink, and sitting area too, so you can heat up some food if you want to make yourself some breakfast for example, or if it's raining outside and you don't want to eat on a bench at the beautiful park 1 minute down the road (I recommend this!) I'll be back in Oviedo soon, and if there's room, I'll stay here again for sure. Nada. Pero si te hospedas aquí, ten en cuenta que es un piso y se oye todo. Baja el volumen y respeta a tus vecinos, en lugar de ser los insoportables que el resto no ve el momento de que os vayáis. La mayoría de la gente que encontré la semana que estuve era normal, pero 1 día me tocaron 2 de esos al lado (ni viernes, ni sábado, que es cuando pensé que podría haber más jaleo, y no hubo) pero te los cruzas a veces en la vida en cualquier parte, en los sitios más baratos y en los más caros. No seáis esa persona. Nothing I didn't like, but since people read these: Please note this is a flat, so you can hear everything through the walls. Just be respectful of people that might be resting in their rooms.
