- Jackson (9/5): - Charming. Wonderful staff. Beautiful area off the main road. Nothing.
- David (9/5): Great - Convenient with friendly staff Nothing

- Zac (1/5): Hugely disappointing and disgustingly over priced for a very very average pub - Nothing really apart the area wasn’t too bad… The woman (I think landlady) for breakfast was so rude and short and didn’t make you feel welcomed and just wanted you to hurry up and get lost!!!
The rooms were so small and really dusty and stains on the bed sheets… everything felt dirty. The tv was rubbish and kept loosing signal and the hot tap took literally about 60 seconds to get hot and then it was dangerously scolding! The showers tray filled up immediately when shower on and the jets coming out the soaker head were spraying everywhere and the glass shower door didn’t close properly this letting lots of water escape into the floor!
- FAYE (10/5): A beautiful place. - Really comfortable.
- Godfrey (10/5): A wonderful stay for dinner, bed and breakfast, we were so well looked after, thank you - Cared for and full of character and charm.
The staff were professional, courteous and friendly. Excellent location for us. High quality catering. Nothing

- Louise (9/5): - The place was lovely. A very well equipped room. Excellent breakfast. My only issue was lack of parking after a long journey and away for a social event struggling to park was disappointing- I realise it’s not an easy fix and have only mentioned it as I was asked for what I didn’t like !

- Jools (10/5): - room was very quirky and nicely decorated, pillows and bed very comfy - perfect

- Vincent (10/5): - Lovely room, food and service.
- Lauren (8/5): Relaxing and comfortable pet-friendly stay - On arrival we had a warm welcome and were able to check-in earlier than expected. The Inn's pub was busy, but the team were very friendly and helpful, and the food smelt amazing. We weren't able to sample the menu due to other activities already planned and as we had booked "Room only." The room was comfortable, welcoming, and spacious. We enjoyed the Nespresso machine especially and the Christmas mince pies were a great touch too! We requested a garden room for ease of access for our dog, and when we asked about the pet package the team brought the following to the room: a dog mattress, bowl and a little package containing a rope toy, treats, and a poop bag. This is a really nice touch and really makes the fee for having your dog in the room really reasonable! We crate our dog over night, and there was more than enough space for this - it was great to have an alternative resting area in the mattress supplied. A great stay and I would happily return and recommend. There wasn't much not to like. We did communicate to the team that the shower wasn't draining well, but I'm sure this will be rectified. The only other points for improvement are that there was limited parking when we arrived, but if we had arrived closer to the standard check-in times, the lunch run would have ended and more spaces would have been available. There are some storage 'units/areas' near the rooms, which when accessed/used were a bit noisy and made our dog a bit nervous/skittish. These are in no way negatives though and rather advisories.
- Julie (8/5): Would thoroughly recommend this place - Every time we stay it the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly
- Wendy (8/5): Good location & nice room - Location as we were having a celebration dinner with friends
- James (9/5): Really pleasant surprise and wonderful find in general. - The staff went out of their way to fit into our schedule.
- Matt (9/5): Quiet, peaceful and calm. Lovely location! - Good spacious room, lovely location, good food and a very hospitable environment Towel radiator was on full blast on arrival, so needed to turn it off straightaway. Made the room very hot!
- Jacqueline (9/5): - A warm welcome on arrival in a Cosy and welcoming bar.
The evening meal was delicious with great menu choice
Very friendly staff.

- Alison (10/5): Fabulous - Everything was fabulous. No faults with anything. Can't wait to book again. Not a thing.
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - I booked this hotel as a surprise for my dad’s 60th birthday before their cruise, and the thoughtful room upgrade meant a great deal to us.They told me the village was beautiful, the hotel stunning, and the food exceptional. They’ve stayed in many hotels, but said this was the best experience they’ve ever had.Thank you for making my dad’s 60th truly unforgettable. Your kindness created memories they’ll cherish forever. There was Nothing to dislike

- Gulay (8/5): Nice place to stay. Food is very nice. -
- Jane (8/5): Cosy pub B&B in a picturesque village - Lovely village location. Pub had character, food was excellent and staff friendly and welcoming. Lovely cosy room for a short stay. Bit chilly, but it was a very cold night.

- MaggieAndRoy (9/5): A lovely hotel, in quiet location, with excellent food. - The room was very tastefully decorated, with character, but also well designed, comfortable and clean, with good quality materials. The bathroom looked lovely, clean with attractive tiles and had a good number of shelves and hooks, with good toiletries. Though we were on the roadside, and windows were old and single glazed, it was quiet with very few vehicles using the road late or early. A fridge with fresh milk was a bonus, along with the radio. The food, both for the evening meal and breakfast was of a very good standard, and staff were efficient and friendly. Parking was easy when we visited. The village itself was very quaint. The fixed showerscreen was inadequate given the strong strength and direction of the shower, which we could not adjust (it was an odd push button arrangement). It was impossible not to get the floor extremely wet, which made the shower less relaxing. Other reviews have mentioned this issue in the room we had.
It was good that there were two cask beers on tap, but they weren't to our personal taste (compared to eg Landlord or London Pride).
- Phil (9/5): Lovely little find and very reasonable prices. - Loved the location, the vibe, the food, the staff … everything. No ac do rooms a bit warm.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional in every way. - Booked as a last minute stay over and the response was excellent in every respect. Superb hospitality and felt staff genuinely care and went beyond to make sure our stay was totally comfortable and memorable. Will 100% return. Genuinely nothing!

- Mike (8/5): -
- Hewett (8/5): Pleasant, staff very good. The room only accessed via an outside steep staircase - Location was convenient for Southampton Airport and surrounding areas.
The accommodation was good and bed / pillows comfortable. Not enough lighting in room, felt quite dim .
Couldn’t find a switch anywhere for the main ceiling lights.
The outside staircase to the room was quite steep , a bit of an effort for my knees .
Had checked online opening/ closing times for restaurant and bar ( bar was 10pm ) but during our stay we were advised last orders was 9pm .
- SueWiltshire (9/5): Great stay at The Peat Spade - The staff are always helpful and polite. We love the pub and have visited several times. The location is beautiful. N/A

- Patsy (10/5): Perfect place to stay and enjoy excellent food and beautiful surroundings - The inn is in a lovely picturesque location, our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated with every need catered for. The staff were excellent, warm and welcoming and the restaurant is superb with a great choice of food and drinks. Breakfast was delicious too.
- Andy (7/5): -
- John (8/5): Food and hospitality were good but the room/shed was too small with no view - Location excellent .Breakfast very good Room was a converted wooden shed at the back of the hotel which we were told was an upgrade. It was very small although the bathroom was modern and clean.
- Philip (10/5): -
- coveney (8/5): -
- Steve (8/5): Great - Lovely village. Nice room. Staff friendly A bit exxy . Felt a bit like we were squeezed into the restaurant amongst all the Range Rover owning visitors. Think paying hotel residents should be given a bit more special treatment

- David (10/5): - We loved the breakfast. The room was very beautiful too. We were very relaxed and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was wide, and luminous. The toilet was also spacious and pleasant. The complimentary coffee was very much appreciated. There was nothing that we particularly disliked. Small points for improvement would be: the stairs to access the room were a bit rickety and looked shaky and unsafe. The mattress was slightly too soft for our taste.
- Susan (8/5): - Overall good, bed comfortable
- Terence (8/5): - Looked picturesque Probably the most expensive pint of Guinness I have ever paid for. £7.50.
- Alexander (9/5): -

- KENNETH (8/5): Nice afternoon having a couple of drinks in the pub garden before dinner - Excellent Sunday dinner and good breakfast Stairs to room cobwebs round window
- Geoffrey (5/5): Good for dinner but not what I want for sleeping. - Dinner and breakfast were excellent Bathroom was poor. Very small basin, toilet on a shelf which is dangerous and the shower did not have a screen big enough to stop water going on the floor. Stairs up to our room were very steep.
- Oliver (10/5): - Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis mit gutem Pub
