Guest Reviews
- Paul (2/5): - Breakfast was poor. No hot food. No gluten free or dairy free options. I had to buy my own breakfast items to take down to eat.
Rooms too small and way over-priced - felt more like a prison than a hotel.
- Raissa Evelyne (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Stephen (10/5): - Friendly staff. Good location for access to train station. Comfy bed
- Julio Cesar (10/5): - Great location
- Richard (8/5): - Very much a budget hotel but the facilities are fine. The staff were excellent and I had the most wonderful welcome on arrival by the staff.
- Isadora (10/5): - Excellent
- Steve (10/5): - Mary Ann, Jane and Roman were awesome, kind, and helpful!!
- Marie (8/5): - Hotel is convenient clean & staff good. Just a very bare bones room so you get what you pay for. Worked for us to sleep in & catch a morning flight.
- Judy (8/5): - Carpet in hallways could be cleaned
- Wayne (8/5): - The stay was ideal for our early morning departure
- Laurent (6/5): - Just ok. Nothing outstanding...
- Véronique Ramcesse (8/5): - Excellent
- Stephen (6/5): - Possible to walk to property from baggage claim.
Not having coffee available in the room or lobby was not pleasant. Charging for coffee in lobby was inconvenient.
- Joanna (10/5): - Good for if you need to stay by the airport.
- Brian (10/5): - All of it
- Trong-Dat (10/5): - My go to hotel near the airport. Great shuttle service to and from hotel. Good breakfast available. Does the job if you just need to sleep for an early flight.
- Michael (8/5): - Nice place and is perfect for the airport.
- Douglas (8/5): - Great overnight next to the airport with convenient shuttle.
- Lars Kiib (2/5): - Poor hotel
- Roger (8/5): - Comfortable bed and great shuttle to and from the airport
- Mary-Lou (10/5): - A good place to stay while traveling.
- jean-marc (8/5): - Basic accommodation, but the price is good (Budget IBIS). The shuttle service is done partly with their own minivan, partly with airport bus. Not available all the time (time slot excluded) The breakfast is good. Very secure as the gendarmerie personnel has a reserved area in the lunch area for their lunch and rest period
- Naveed (4/5): Give a miss - Small room. Rubbish pillows, too soft. Terrible customer service.
- Toufik (2/5): - No weak up call , no phone in the room. The room is like for high person jail room. The poor food with no other choices ( a lot of choices ) and pricy 22 € for the food , if you add deserts I have to pay extra, coffee or tea pay extra fruit extra …. For the breakfast 9 € , they know people are trapped but those extra €€€€ is to much for the price of the room. For the price of the rooms and the quality of food it should be everything included .
I worked in hotel industry for a longtime and I know what I’m talking about .
- Alon (8/5): - This is a basic airport hotel and it does that very very well. Would stay again.
- Roberta (4/5): - No bathmat. No tissues. No coffeepot.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A good budget hotel if you need to be close to the airport. The shuttle was really helpful. But the room and amenities are basic.
- Lesley (10/5): - The hotel is extremely well located with a shuttle service from the airport. Even though my flight was delayed and arrived after midnight, the shuttle was still available. The reception was open and check in was fast and professional
- Olga (10/5): - Thanks for airport shuttle
- laurence (8/5): - I know this hotel since late 2018.
I like it , the staff so far has always been great. Other than that I think the hotel rooms should be provided with hair dryers, and a coffee machine inside the reception, or nearby...if there was one, I couldn't see it.
- Jodi (8/5): - Fine for a quick overnite between flights. Small rooms, but what I expected.
- Pamela (10/5): - A convenient, clean and quiet hotel. It met my needs perfectly with a kind and helpful staff. My only wish is that there was a hair dryer in the room. Thanks for a great stay.
- Joseph (6/5): - Very spartan room for this price.
No airport pickup.
Needed a night after late, later flight arrival but would not choose again.
- Anica (6/5): - This is a budget hotel and it shows, but has the bare essentials for what is needed for a one night stay. However, check that the sheets and towels are clean. We checked in, got to our room and got ready for bed to find that the upper sheet/duvet was clean but the fitted sheet was covered in green fluffy and hair. It had obviously had not been changed and when we told the reception, was said they were fully booked and unsure if there was another room. Eventually, there was one to move into but it was seen to be a fuss.
Other than that, the stay was good, it was sound proofed and met basic needs.
Also to note, the shower is a shower pod that has a clear glass door and little privacy, so important to note if you want more privacy.
- Bob (8/5): - Very good bed. Terrible pillows. Room was small and dorm-like but fine for one night prior to flight
- Robin (6/5): - Staff was excellent in addressing request for a room change. Original room on main floor not recommended as it’s near the ping pong table. Family rooms on higher floors much more spacious. Value for money is great for a simple location that’s walking distance to the airport.
- Joanne (10/5): Disappointing - The room was bare bones but clean. There was a warning to be careful not to slip coming out of the shower as there was no bath mat! Provide a bath mat!
The pillows were extremely sparse, 0 support. The room was so hot, impossible to sleep. We could open the window but traffic noise was too loud. I had no sleep.
I could wait to leave. Not a good way to prepare for an early flight.
- Sixte (10/5): - Pretty nice place with decent personal 👌
- François (6/5): - Low cost low quality
- Nathalie (10/5): - Staff were very helpful and nice
- Brian (10/5): - Upgraded from double bed room to double plus single room on requestfor twin bedd room. Reception staff very helpful. Good breakfast buffed and light evening meal options. Free transfer to and from airport. On the downside no tea/coffee in room.
- Penelope (10/5): - The buffet breakfast was very good. Fresh, good food, excellent coffee. Gluten free bread was provided for me. Friendly, efficient staff.
- Claudio (8/5): - Excellent parking. Staff very friendly. Convenient location.
- Jannet (6/5): - We were happy to have airport transportation. The front desk staff greeted us with a smile and helpful when we had a plugged sink. Overall the stay was uneventful which was good. However we had a bunk bed rather than a double bed. But minor.
We did have to say that when we went for supper at the bar, we were astonished and astounded that they were taking orders at the counter and made us stand a long line up. Thankfully we were at the beginning of supper hour. There was a line up to the front desk almost at one time. I felt bad for the bar staff as it was one server and one kitchen staff. However, whoever came up with the idea of making us wait in line was ridiculous. Like who thinks that is a good idea? Why not just have people seated and take their orders? They can pay when they come to get their meals? Like any other bar or restaurant? Or staff the bar according to how full your hotel will be?
The one thing that was incredible was the fact that a front desk staff butting in front of my husband to attempt to enter her own meal, cutting off my husband mid-order, while there was a line up of at least 10 people by that point who had been waiting for at least 15-20 min, for which she was unable to do it on her own and had the server do it for her. Wasting our time instead of waiting for the server to do so when she suggested.
I have never seen front desk staff oblivious as to the stress and craziness that was going on for the bar & not be helpful.
- Johanna (10/5): - The lady that checked me in was lovely !
- Shelley (8/5): - Functional and cheap room. Nothing fancy. Easy access to airport. Less than 5 minutes by shuttle van which runs every 15 minutes 24/7.
- Brian (8/5): - Free shuttle to airport, room clean and functional. Restaurant good for light evening meal. Good breakfast buffet.
- Rob (10/5): - great staff and close to airport. free shuttle was perfect. our kids liked the bunk room.
- Chaitra (8/5): Okay. - Was okay for a night's stay. The A/C was not good but eventually cooled down sometime during the middle of the night. The room was tight but clean.
- Ian (10/5): - Quiet room with en suite
Nice shower
Very clean and spacious
Reception staff were friendly and very welcoming
Handy walk to Lyon airport.
- Howard (8/5): - No frills.
Ibis is a quiet clean place to crash before or after flying the pond.
Breakfast buffet C ; other food D. Guys, this is Lyon - rise to the occasion. Soggy, lukewarm pizza is not good enough.
- Howard (6/5): Basic food far too expensive. - A very basic hotel that suits its purpose. The biggest issue is the price of the food which is basic but ridiculously over priced due to the absence of competition. €35 for a meagre, buffet style fare.
- Julia (10/5): - check in/out were great, clean room, property offered free drinking water and juice
- Emile (6/5): - It was a hot day. The AC did not work well despite attempts to fix it. We were also charged for the outside parking. The staff did not speak good French. One positive point was the shuttle to the airport.
- julia (4/5): - The room was fine. However, what I did not like was that I didn't have a mobile and I arrived at the airport after 10 30 pm and it took me ages to work out how to get a shuttle. A kind man eventually came to my assistance and called for one. Check in was fine although initially they couldn't find my reservation. I couldn't understand how to operate the lights and the explanation was a little perfunctory, but finally the receptionist came to my room to show me. I got to sleep at 1 30 am and was awoken at 7 30 because it seemed I was opposite some sort of office. The talking was loud and continuous from that time, even though I tried to indicate to the staff that I was trying to sleep several times, but not, perhaps, explicitly since initially I thought the talkers were other guests.
- Bruce (10/5): - Great spot close to the airport and the Navette (shuttle) is very handy. With so many early departures, I appreciated breakfast starting at 3 am!
- gerald (6/5): - Price too high for room value.
- Jessica (10/5): - Staff was so friendly and helpful. The parking lot is gated and seemed very safe. We had a rental car so didn’t use the shuttle. It is a budget hotel, but set apart because the staff is so good.
- David (10/5): - Room was sparse, but perfectly comfortable and functional. And quiet! Breakfast was great. A beer at the bar was a bit pricey.
- Michel (8/5): - Great place for a short stay near LYS
- Jayne (10/5): - Great place for one night if flying to/from Lyon
- Daria (8/5): - The hotel is very basic- small shower, no hairdryer in room, small sink. But the bed was comfortable, there was a large screen TV, and staff was informed and accommodating. Shuttle to airport was available as advertised and on time (at 5 am!)
Very satisfied with the stay.
- Kimberly (10/5): Great - This hotel was perfect to stop overnight to prepare for our early morning flight. It is right next to airport, super clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
- Cynthia (10/5): Good for short stay, early flight - Clean, safe stay for a short night before a very early morning flight. Shuttle was parked in front of Terminal 1 when I arrived on the airport express train and it was a 5 minute ride to the hotel. There is also a sidewalk (approx. 10 minutes walk.) Hostess in the restaurant allowed me to have a smaller meal than the full buffet. Room was clean and perfect for a short stay.
- KHALID (10/5): - Friendly staff clean room
- Adi (10/5): - Close to the airport, cheap, parking, clean, convenient
- ERIC (10/5): Great budget hitel - Nice clean economic hotel. Excellent shuttle service to and from airport
- GABRIELA (10/5): Your Best choice in lyon - Perfect location. Perfect service. Quiet and cost Cozy. Excellent price.
- Andy (8/5): - Only thing was room was hot.
- Susan (10/5): - The hotel is great for an early flight but that’s about it. There’s nothing else around this area.
- Christopher (8/5): - Nice location by the airport.
- John (8/5): - The shuttle was a little slow (30 min) coming to the airport to pick up arriving passengers. It was -1*C with blowing wind making the wait outdoors very uncomfortable. While I know the night staff is somewhat limited, they could have made a better effort to expedite the shuttle. Otherwise, a comfortable place to crash after a long day/late arrival.
- Mary J (10/5): - Booked it for airport shuttle
- Hayat (10/5): - Warm welcome! Room good for 1 night or 2.
Snacks, dinner and breakfast very well adapted to traveling.
Staff smiling and welcoming.
Lobby' furniture shabby and seats badly stained. Would benefit from a lobby withnew seats and low tables.
- Sheri (8/5): - Great place to stay when leaving on an early flight. Basic no frill room but very comfy.
Nice shuttle that starts at 4;00 am
- Lawrence (10/5): - An efficient, clean, well-equipped and congenial place for a basic overnight stay. Staff are excellent and the shuttle is efficient. Get the buffet breakfast - it’s just a few Euros more and a real bargain as it’s more complete than the usual French hotel bread-and-coffee offering.
- Anel (8/5): Near the airport. - Good hotel to stay near the airport. Clean, safe and comfortable for night stay.
- Andrew (10/5): Clean and friendly staff - Clean hotel good for an overnight stay. Very small but expected that. Staff was great. Walkable to terminal but takes about 15 min. They did have shuttle option, too
- Julie (10/5): - Great place to stay near the airport with a free shuttle and even in walking distance if you want to stretch your legs. I would stay there again.
- Francoise (6/5): - Booked as needed a hotel close to the airport, without access to a car. Room was basic but was clean and had all we needed for the night. Marked down as shuttle to airport left 10 minutes late despite being asked to be there 5 minutes early. Bus driver was not the most customer focussed and barely spoke to anyone other than asking us to shut the side and rear doors when we exited so she wouldn't have to get out of her seat.
- Cynthia (6/5): - The property was fine. It met my needs which was that I needed a place to stay after a late flight before I journeyed on to my next location.
The staff was friendly at check in. The shuttle back to the airport was prompt and easy to organize. The issue I had is that the hotel controls the room temperature. It was hot in the room and they only had heavy bedding. I opened the window to cool off the room but you would hear the road noise.
- Rose Marie (10/5): - Good for a close to airport short stay. Basic but clean.
- Charlene (8/5): - Very close to airport. Easy drive into Lyon from here. Good place to stay when you have an early flight the next day!
- Erick (8/5): - Great hotel next to the airport. Good value for the money!
- ??? (10/5): - Very nice place.
- john (6/5): - I had people 3 times trying to help me find the hotel, after midnight. The first two groups of people couldn't figure out what P5 meant. The last guy figured out that I needed to call the hotel for the shuttle.
This would have been easy if I spoke French but I don't. Also I thought P5 was parking.
- Paul (8/5): Lyon Airport - Affordable and clean. Very close to the airport and train. Bed firm
- Deborah (8/5): Just the basics - Adequate airport stay. No frills. Very basic. Good shuttle service to the airport.
- jiyoun (6/5): - very convenient location to catch early morning flight
- Cyril (8/5): - shuttle bus for airport
- Stephen (6/5): Not quite what we expected - Disappointed to find that the restaurant was not open on the Saturday night when we arrived.
Single bunk is a single bed as opposed to bunk beds
- tunc (8/5): - Functional hotel of you only stay overnight to catch early flight. Shuttle service to airport but renting a car is pain! .
- tunc (8/5): - Need to take a shuttle to the hotel, besides, good value for money for a night stay
- Hsin (10/5): - Free shuttle bus to from airport.
Cheap breakfast buffet.
- Robert (10/5): Good price for an airport hotel - After several days in Lyon, I stayed at the airport so I did not need to rush for a morning flight. Good price for the location. I coordinated my arrival via the Rhone Express with the shuttle service schedule. No restaurant at the location, so either eat dinner in town, at the airport or at the expensive restaurant in the main hotel across from the the terminal.
- Benjamin (10/5): - .
- Claudia (6/5): - Very bare bones but close to airport - free shuttle at times - decent breakfast. Staff nice.
- D (8/5): Mostly good - The easy (free) shuttle to and from the airport was great, but we were really annoyed when told 5 minutes before the shuttle was due that we were going to have to lug the bags out to the road, and then another 200 meters. When we stayed there the week before, the shuttle pulled into the hotel. You owe me a euro for the trolley I had no chance to return!
- Mary (10/5): - Good. Small but efficient space. Very helpful staff
- Veronica (8/5): - The staff was great. I asked for a hairdryer (none in the room) and they gave me one with a smile. The buffet dinner was pretty good for a hotel and reasonably priced. Overall a good hotel for the money!
