Guest Reviews
- Cynthia (6/5): - Old property, very old decor, musty smell
- JEAN-BERNARD (8/5): - Acceptable
- Craig (4/5): - This is an older property. Also, there are weekly/monthly/permanent renters that live there. It is in need of a lot of maintenance, repair and updating. The room had been "cleaned" but was not really clean The mattress was bad. The bathroom towels were not good. The A/C worked. The water got hot for the shower. The TV worked. If you can afford an extra $20-$30 per night, there are other better options. The owner/manager and front desk person were very nice and accommodating.
- Devon (10/5): - Friendly staff and comfortable room. Relaxing stay.
- Luke (10/5): - One of the quietest places I’ve ever stayed. They were kind and friendly.
- Shannon (10/5): - Polite caring
- Tim (8/5): Dated but clean. - Room was dated, but clean. Could have more lighting in room. Overall decent value for price. Would stay again.
- jarrett (10/5): - Do not judge a book by it's cover.
I came in for a wedding and had to get up the next morning early.
The staff was great! He greeted me and was always friendly during the times that I saw him. He answered all questions and made me feel welcome.
The room was in great condition for a $70 room. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. Neighbors even with their dog made it quiet.
- Jordan (10/5): - The bed here was so comfortable! I slept great. A super value, and I always love being able to park right in front of the door to my room. Absolutely convenient!
- Nan (6/5): Ok - Would be excellent to have a hot pot of coffee in the office ready in the morning since there is no breakfast offered snd no coffee in the rooms.
- Becky (10/5): - Nice large room with vintage tiled bathroom. It was quiet, clean and the bed was quite comfortable. We would stay here again.
- sondra (8/5): - Great place to stay
- Eddie (6/5): - It needs to be clearer on the fees to be paid.
- Dawn. (4/5): - There were no blankets on the bed.
- Daniel (10/5): Good choice - The rooms are in order, clean, and the gentleman that I dealt with a check in was as friendly and personable I think you get. Thank you for a good experience.
- Dawn (2/5): - Had to wait 30 mins to get the” owner” to check me in, said dial 0 for help, it was busy… then the “owner” forgot she put me in my room and busted in about 9pm… to check the toilet….
- Ray (4/5): - It was convenient
- Shane (8/5): - The parking situation is awesome, maybe it gets crowded when the hotel is fully booked...maybe. The staff was sure to assist me in any endeavors i embarked upon, and their knowledge of the immediate area and land surrounding the establishment proved to be instrumental in my many, many quests during my stay. I dont believe im being overly dramatic when i say that without The Ingleside hotel, its entirely possible that i would have been ambushed by pirates, and traded for regular beans to a traveling organ grinder, for his former monkey assistant's tattered old work uniform. Gratitude.
- PATRICIA (10/5): - Great. Bed was good and pillows soft.
- Kerry (2/5): - There is nothing to like about this property. 3/4 lights didnt work. AC didnt work. The room was dirty and the clerk was rude.
- Melissa (6/5): No alarm clocks, but comfortable clean room. - It was an emergency staying since I got into an argument with my husband. What I found, for the price is a nice bed, cable tv, but no alarm clocks. I was worried about this cause I did not have my phone charger. But what I did not like is needing a $50, cash deposit, on top of the stay. Who has cash these days.
- Hollie (10/5): Very nice little hotel. - I didnt have much notice that ibwould need a hotel but Ingleside Motel was very accommodating. I stayed 3 nights and it was very nice. Bed was comfy, room was clean and the staff were very kind. I will stay again should i need it and recommend this place to friends.
- Isaac (2/5): - Didn't look or feel safe. I had a two night reservation. I didn't even stay there for ten minutes before going to a different hotel. Tub/shower had stains that I hope were only pee and nothing else. Room smelled like dog kennel. Anything negative you can say about a hotel I'd say about this place. Wasn't offered a refund when I checked out a whole day early. I barely walked into the room before I walked right back out to stay elsewhere.
- William (8/5): - No in room coffee
- Carson (6/5): Some issues... - Nice staff, good rate, but the room was outdated, seemed to be clean. Rating on hotels.com is to high, 6.5 rating more realistic.
- james (8/5): - It was a good location right across the street from where I had to attend the graduation
- kenneth (6/5): - We didn’t know we had to leave a 100 dollar cash deposit for our pets!
- Rebecca (10/5): - Check in was great, staff very knowledgeable about the area. 1st thing i do when i check in is check the Air Filters, they were CLEAN😃.They take pride in their Environment. I would recommend highly
- Tamara (8/5): Satisfied - It was clean and comfortable. Fine for overnight stay and reasonable
- Dan (6/5): Disappointing - The tube needed to be replaced or cleaned properly and the smell was bad the bed needed to be replaced and the sheets and comforter needed to be replaced had burnt holes all in it we will never stay there again
- Penny (10/5): - Very nice- very accommodating-i would highly recommend
- CATHY (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us.
- Gerald (8/5): Nice place but nothing fancy. - Nice place. Nothing fabulous but clean and quiet. Close to shopping and restaurants.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is worn. There is a $50 CASH ONLY (refundable) incidental deposit that I was unaware of. Check out is 1030am- a BIT early!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Walking down the sidewalk to find ice. Was quite a few trip hazards. Not all of them marked. Was not impressed. It was low priced but I've seen better for the same price in other locations.
- Donna (6/5): - Shower didnt work right and too many rules but it was ok.
- Christin (10/5): - Conveinent location, clean time, friendly staff
- Thomas (6/5): - The toilet seat was broken wires and outlets exposed no smoke detector
- Brian (10/5): - would have paid double for the room. clean and smells good and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Heater kept the room very warm. Water was hot enough to make the bathroom steamy. WiFi was fast enough to watch Netflix. I fell asleep undisturbed like a brick :)
- HopeDodd (4/5): - This last room had a god awful smell that stayed on us Even after a Shower..the WiFi is not working at all unless you in the office... not too mention the bugse
- Verified traveler (8/5): Would stay again. - Owner went out of his way to see that I could check in early without any inconvenience to me. Very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The staff is very nice, but you're consumed with roaches and why you sleep they're crawling all over you
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The staff is nice, but you are consumed with roaches and while you sleep roaches are crawling all over you. Very very dirty. Sheets had cigarette Burns and blood stains pillow cases were clean but blood-stained. The shower curtain was very very dirty.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Motel was conveniently located to numerous local attractions.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The guy at the front desk said my card didn't match what I had on the website and than proceed to tell me to pay on cash plus pay a extra 20 Dollars. It seemed like he was trying to scam me.
- Trish (8/5): - Proprietor was very friendly/ room was roomy / it was very low priced and surprised me that it was in a decent area
- Carol (8/5): Good enough to get good rest. - I would stay here again for the price. I can't remember any outstanding features, problems or hassles. I was so tired from driving, I just wanted to collapse and sleep. My husband went to the busy bar next door for some supper. He brought back some burned leftovers, but the bar isn't part of the motel.
- Daniel (6/5): Nothing fancy - Suitable for a overnight stay. Nothing fancy. No coffee maker in room. Dated condition but clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Cheap place to stay. No amenities.
Old place but they try to keep clean
- Ben (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Budget priced but perfectly acceptable accommodations. A bit dated but clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Easy access from interstate. Affordable and clean and easy to check out
- Brian (6/5): - Cute roadside motel. Okay for basic accomodations. Below par compared to other options.
1) Internet slow bordering on unusable. Beyond rediculously complex password. could barely do email, couldn't even post a picture to Facebook because it would time out.
2) Carpet is dirty.... makes feet dirty to walk on it.
3) No ice machine, have to go to the office and they will only give you half a bucket of ice.
4) check in experience made me nervous, they kept a glass window shut the whole time....... Made me feel like it was an unsafe property.
5) No outlet near bedside stand for CPAP machine, had to pull bed out and use an extension cord to get to it.
6) Shower curtain is set slightly in the shower.... ick. They need to switch to arched curtains.
7) Bathroom door interferes with toilet.
8) very minimal toiletries provided.... 2 skimpy towels and 1 liquid soap.
9) TV cuts out regularly with signal issues.
It's got potential and not any worse than other options in Athens for a night or two, just be prepared for a basic hotel experience. The staff is friendly.
Restaurant next door is good and affordable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Free Wi-Fi was terrible. It was incredibly slow and would drop the connection within 5 minutes of connecting.
- K (10/5): - The rooms were spotless. One can tell that management cares about the motel. Check-in staff were really helpful and friendly.
- Michael (8/5): Clean older no-frills motel. - Older motel but has been partially remodeled. Carpet and paint were new. Need to work on sink area, bathrooms and fixtures next (wall lamps were original and wiring looked older than me). No frills, no breakfast. Coffee in checking area only. Set up to go in the morning so if you get up early, you need to turn it on yourself. Ice maker wasn't working. Internet was above average. If you just need a cheap room but one that far exceeds price expectations then this is the place. Old main highway across from the school so area felt plenty secure. Was just scouting areas of possible move so just needed an inexpensive place to crash and was happy with cleanliness. Would stay again if price was issue.
- Crystal (10/5): - We stayed on our way back from Florida. It was late when we checked in and they were so nice and welcoming. I would for sure rebook on our way through next year.
- Connie (6/5): - Office staff friendly, and the room was clean. The internet wasn't reliable enough.
- Scott (10/5): Can’t beat it - For the price, you simply can’t beat this motel. Friendly service and clean, comfortable accommodations.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We check in after 11pm and checked out at 7:30am. We just need beds to sleep on and this did the job. There were only sheets and the cover bed spread, no blanket inbetween. I've never seen this before. We all know to never use the bed cover, so all we had was a sheet. At the end of the day, we knew what we were getting for the price and this place did what we needed, provided 7 hours of sleep.
- peter (10/5): Thumbs up with 4 stars - normally the older off the beaten path motels.. are lacking..sloppy paint ..worn carpeting..towels so still they can almost stand on their own..you know what I'm talking about.I was passing thru and just wanted a bed for a few hours and a hot shower to continue on...
WHAT A SURPRISE
This place was clean...didn't reak from spices..the room was fresh..inviting..clean..up to date with out orange or yellow paint all over the place.
Yes, IF I pass thru again and its anywhere near time to stop..I will make sure if I'm earlier or later...I will go there and stay again. And the price...very reasonable..You will be satisfied..only 3 minutes from the interstate.
- Kurt (8/5): - Friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant stay.
- D (6/5): - I was driving a thousand mile trip back home and just wanted an inexpensive place to sleep to break up my drive. This place fits that need. Room was clean and supplied fine. Outdated decor is common not horrible. Sign on door said no smoking but room reaked of smoke smell. Air conditioning unit was beat up missing stuff and kept cycling on and off evrry 20 seconds and was very distracting. Parking was right in front of the room and electronic door lock was working well. It was acceptable room although comparable pricing less than $10 would have gotten a better chain place. Overall i am satisfied for a short quick overnight. If i were doing weekly i would have been fine with a different room because of air unit. Nice ownere who will work with you on pricing for longer stays. I am rating ok because it wasnt bad but didn't shine as excellent. I wouod say yes stay here and make sure your room functions are working.
- joseph (8/5): Good for the price. - The new owners were very friendly. The room was good the price was good. The shower had low power bit over all everything went good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The lady up front wont give you but 1 extra towel, but it was clean and comfy! Will stay again, next time in the neighborhood! Thanks!
- Jen (8/5): - The staff was friendly and helpful. The room smelled musty and was a bit janky but relatively clean. The bed had an old foam mattress that wasn’t very comfortable but did the trick. The motel was safe and quiet. A good experience for the price.
- Rita (10/5): - The lady that runs the place is so very nice and friendly.the people that work for her is friendly too. My room was nice and clean.lngleside motel is a place I will come back too.8again and again.Jeff who was working next door had Me laughing alot in my books it is 10+
- Mark (8/5): - Older hotel, but room was clean & quiet. Staff very friendly & helpful. Great accommodations for the price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rude manager... - Not a good experience. Paint was peeling off walls freezer hadn't been defrosted so u couldn't put anything in it. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet never quit running. There were roaches all throughout the room and the woman at the desk was very rude when problems were brought to her attention. I would never stay here again and wouldn't suggest it to family or friends either..
- gladys (10/5): Great stay! - Great place to stay! Very clean and the staff very friendly!
- Nicole (10/5): - Very friendly staff and clean room!
- James M. (8/5): Not bad, and a great price! - Older motel, with dated furniture and bath, sink, etc. Surprisingly clean and odor-free. Very friendly and helpful staff. Could not hear neighbors, but could hear anything outside.
- Sheri (6/5): Wanted to support local business - Room needed an update and TLC. It was ok for one night stay. It would have been nice if coffee machines were available for rooms for us early risers who wanted a cup of coffee in our room. They had coffee in office but who wants to dress to go get coffee.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff was really nice. They are working hard to upgrade. Bed was comfortable
- Paul (8/5): - The management is very friendly and accommodating. The room is decent. It is an older motel, and shows some of it's age but it appears they are trying to keep it up in good shape. The mattress was worn, but comfortable and not in too bad shape.
- Trisha (6/5): - Bring your own shampoo! Everything else was great. Very affordable!
- K (8/5): - older motel, very clean, owners very accomadating. had a great stay
- Tiffany (2/5): - Horrible..very uncomfortable beds. And I was in town to see my family and was told I couldn't have guests...that was the whole point why I was here. Very bad customer service. I will never stay here again...l
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall, happy but was not happy with the strained sheets. Also housekeeping never came by. We stayed two nights. Was an older hotal, but great value for the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great people - Great people, They went out of their way to make sure my stay was taken care of
