Guest Reviews
- Alejandro (6/5): - eco park
- Rolando (8/5): - The people working there are amazing. They keep the hacienda beautiful and clean. Food and drinks were outstanding. Bungalow was great. I will definitely go back.
- Joseph (8/5): - Stunning property situated on a mangrove, wooden walkways take you from the parking lot to your individual cabin, the restaurant, the pool, etc. Quite humid being situated in basically a rainforest; unlike many places in Guat there is A/C here, as it is much needed. English speaking staff was very helpful in dealing with an issue (nothing to do with the hotel). Proximity to Rio Dulce (the city) a plus. Boats to Livingston depart right from the property. A truly delightful experience worth of more than one night. Do make the journey to the Gulf while you are here. Much fauna and flora as well.
- Henry Carlo Garcia (10/5): - Great setting, you're in the mangroves. There's a crocodile so don't swim.
- Gabriel (10/5): - Amazing place
- Stephanie (10/5): - .
- Neisser (10/5): - Limpio, muy amable el personal
- Violeta (8/5): - Loved all the nature around the property food was good easy parking
- Marta (10/5): - Muy lindo lugar.
- Laura (10/5): Special stay in the jungle - This hotel is an experience in itself. Nestled in a mangrove, the hotel is built on stilted walkways. There are turtles and crocodiles (sometimes), but apparently they do not bother people. You can relax at their restaurant or by the pool or choose to participate in activities such as sunrise kayaking to an island with monkeys, a horseback ride, a walk through their farmland, or a day trip to Livingston. The people who work there are friendly and organized. The place is kept very clean and comfortable. I personally like that you can access it by land or boat. Many similar spots are only accessible by boat, which makes me feel too isolated! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
- Mario (10/5): - Amazing hotel merged with wetlands and beautiful Rio Dulce environments. Great food ans vwry nice staff.
- Ramon (10/5): - Customer service
- Carlos (10/5): - lugar precioso
- Christopher (10/5): - Muy bonito y relajante lugar
- Alexa (10/5): - Muy bonita propiedad con manglares. Las instalaciones están bonitas. El servicio excelente. El aire acondicionado es un plus.
- Eduardo (10/5): - Good food and excellent service
- Jaime (10/5): - Natural setting was amazing next to Rio Dulce. We arrived when it was dark so they sent someone to meet us the Litegua bus terminal and bring via boat to the hotel reception. The cabin was a little dated, but was comfortable and AC worked great. My wife and I loved our stay.
- Michael (10/5): - Lovely staff in the jungle with a lovely room. The food was great too!
- Eduardo (10/5): - Staff frendly and helpfull
Calme
Piscine super pour se rafraîchir
- Rüdiger (8/5): - 😀 Nice and clean bungalows ; the food was very good ; and I liked the paths through the private jungle (ecological area) behind the accommodation, which belongs to the property (85Q per person)
We rented a kajak for 65Q per person, which was a nice excursion
🙁 the main street and the bridge was very close and we heard always the noise of the trucks crossing the bridge
Visitors are mainly bigger tourist groups instead of individual travelers or backpackers
- Bayron (8/5): - Great place and staff nice and clean
- Csaba (10/5): Rio Dulce mangrove living - Really interesting and great place to stay.
Highly recommended!
- Richard (10/5): - Beautiful property on the shores of Rio Dolce within Rio Dolce National Park. Good food, awesome environment! Only challenge was we entered via the road. Tuk tuk could only take us to the gates of the property and then we had to walk 350 meters in. Not great if it's poor weather. It would have been appreciated if there was a shuttle from the gate entrance. Property delivered us via boat into town.
- Townsend (10/5): - This was the best places on Guatemala. They offer their own tours through the jungle and river. I will be going back next year when I can spend more time. The staff can understand English.
- Dean (8/5): Overall an excellent stay. - Overall we had a very good stay. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We also got to meet and spent time with several members of the resident marina community who matched the staff perfectly. Our only complaint was when some extremely large tour groups descended on the complex and seemed to overwhelm the quaint nature of the location.
- Emily (10/5): - Wonderful spot!
- Keith (6/5): - Very isolated and water taxi too expensive.
- Pedro (10/5): - Great place in Rio Dulce to disconnect and connect to nature. The staff is great, really recommend going to kayak tour. Gracias Otto nuestro guía!
- isis (8/5): - Beautiful place.
- lucia (10/5): - Great experience if you are looking for something different. You are surrounded by water and nature so be prepared to encounter insects in your room. The room is very plain but cute. There is only soap for the shower, no shampoo. The food was very good.
- Francisca (10/5): - Great place. Stuff super friendly
- Melissa (10/5): - This is truly a unique and amazing place to stay. You are right in the middle of the jungle, with all that entails. The cabanas are small but comfortable, with a nice bathroom. They do have air conditioning as well, which is a must in this area. The onsite restaurant is convenient and reasonable. Most of the staff, including front desk, we encountered over 4 days did not speak English, but we were able to piece together communication. There is a lot of walking to get to the cabins, some of it over suspension bridges, so this may not be the place for people with disabilities or mobility issues.
- Roberto (10/5): Tijax Para Visitar - Excelente lugar. Caminata,
- Anayanci (8/5): - Beutiful Place, excellect sercvice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the uniqueness of the hotel.
- Carolina (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay here particularly because it was right on the Rio Dulce River. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Never got to stay at the property as it was flooded as a result of the tandem of hurricanes that affected the country during te month of November.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great little cabins spread out along the boardwalks of the property. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lieu hors du commun. Très sympathique. Courte distance en ´llancha de Rio Dulce. Personnel aimable.
- liat (8/5): Nice sray - The place is on the river rio dulce, very nice rooms and service. Nice restaurant. We took a horse tour to a secret pool and it was very nice. There is a shuttle boat to town and to Livingston.
- Andres (8/5): - Our main problem was that there was no warm Water and it was not very clean
- Julio (8/5): - Staff friendly, good restaurant good eco hotel, funny
- Leslie Paul (4/5): Not worth the price - Very basic accommodation for the price. The bathroom was on a different level. Overall felt like we were in a kids camp. Maybe for a couple staying in one of the cabanas it would be better but for 3 adults it was terrible
- annie (10/5): Wonderful - Staff are so generous and helpful.... really welcoming area, relax, quiet and wonderfully maintained! Congrats you have a really nice place to work !
- Verified traveler (10/5): In the jungle - Amazing hotel- great food and easy access to main area of Rio Dulce. Staff is very helpful and available, only wish the Wi-Fi was available throughout in stead of only in main lobby area. Highly recommend the hike through the hotel grounds.
- Rita (8/5): Look location, excellent staff. - This is a must stay place because the cabins are actually in the mangrove. It has a restaurant/bar and pool and the staff is outstanding. I would have given the rooms a higher rating but there wasn't enough room for suitcases and the pillows were awful.
- Amy (8/5): Jungle lodge - Some what rustic as the name would imply but fun. Trouble with hot water in showers. Staff was nice and very helpful in making stay nice. Food was good.
