Guest Reviews
- Roisin (7/5): The Customs House Country in came highly recommended. I think the room we were in was a little tired and the breakfast d - The location and the staff member who checked us in. The breakfast was disappointing. Diluted orange rather than pure orange. Poor choice of yogurts and no porridge.
- Patricia (8/5): Comfortable & relaxing. - Been to the hotel now 3 times. Just love the friendly atmosphere & location. Breakfast was a little slow but that’s just being picky.
- Gordon Currie (8/5): - Room was clean, comfortable and spacious Breakfast just adequate. No bar services available beyond 8pm.
- Angela (10/5): - Hotel feel to this B & B - rooms very comfortable Fabulous breakfast. Less than a ten minute walk to McNean House where we met Nevin Maguire ! Fantastic night away ! Nothing
- Scully (9/5): - Staff were excellent, food was exceptional albeit the portions of the starters could be a little smaller as I was full after the starter. Room was very comfortable.
The only item I would fault is they should have more shower gels, shampoo available, this is only an observation and not a complaint.
We stayed for one night after doing the stairway to heaven which is ideally located to the hotel. I loved the entire experience and I would recommend a stay here I would absolutely return.
- Kate (7/5): - Lovely location, only a ten minute walk from McNean House. Tasty breakfast. Nice views of the park and trees from the room. Room seemed clean but personal items were left in three separate drawers. The detachable shower head had been removed. The toilet was in a separate room to the bath with no extractor fan. The exterior of the building looked very shabby.
- Rosemary Eleanor (10/5): - Comfy king bed

- James (10/5): - The staff were very friendly from check-in to check out, and the room was spotless and cosy, and we'll presented.
- Macdonald (8/5): - Excellent for MacNean House.
- Eimearnsx (9/5): Well worth a stay - The hotel was beautiful and the room was fabulous but there were springs gone in our bed which made it uncomfortable to sleep in but overall it was a great stay. The food was fabulous but..........I ordered the turkey and ham for my dinner and it didn't say in the menu that it would come out like a roulade with stuffing in the middle covered in panko breadcrumbs. It looked great and I know time went into making it and presentation was lovely but if I'm paying £25 for a main course I want more than a few bites of the turkey and ham (Parma ham)on the plate. The rest was lovely but a bit disappointed with the portion on meat.

- Carol (9/5): A lovely spot - Very comfortable and large room. Excellently located for our night in McNean Restaurant. Tiny cups for tea/coffee in room, mugs would be much better
- Colin (10/5): Great little place and hotel . Try it - Spotless and impressive staff. All so helpful willing and friendly . Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Nothing
- Gilles (10/5): Bel établissement pour une étape - L accueil la disponibilité et la gentillesse des hôtes. Bel établissement avec très grande chambre « suite »
- Dorothy (10/5): Wanted a short time away in beautiful countryside to relax and unwind. Fitted the bill perfectly - Unique and comfortable. Very welcoming property Nothing negative
- Gerard (7/5): A good hotel but not a great hotel. - I love the location and the parking was easy. There was very little "special" about our stay. Everything was "okay" but nothing was outstanding or unexpected. The food in the restaurant needed a rethink. The roast potatoes were old. In Ireland. Reheated potatoes. I know it is one small thing but it jumped out at me and suggested that more care was needed. I expected more attention to making the patrons stay a little special but I think the idea was to make it "not bad".
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent room and breakfast. - The rooms were excellent. Very comfortable beds and the breakfast was excellent. No suggestions.
- Jackie (10/5): Will definitely stay here again . - Fantastic choice for breakfast. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant .It was good value for money.

- c (4/5): - Nice staff
Gigantic bed Evening meal pretentious and poor
Noisy road
Loo seat didn't fit
Bathroom drawers were broken
No where to hang anything in the bathroom and poor shower facilities
All thing pretentious , not that confortable. If that's what an upgrade is we wonder what a standard room would be
- Mary (8/5): Lovely - Friendly young staff. Place is very co.fortable and modern . Highly recommend! 0
- John (7/5): -
- Alice (9/5): Great welcoming staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Lovely picturesque village - Great restaurant food. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. The room was very nice but was facing main road so a lot of traffic noise from very early in morning. The bar closed at 9pm (very few guests) but we were directed to a nice pub a few doors away.
- Vincent (10/5): -

comfortable quiet room f
- Martha (7/5): Lovely place let down by lack of
attention to detail - Location was excellent for us. Breakfast was lovely and the whole downstairs area is beautifully done. We had requested a double and a twin room.
The twin room wasn't prepared. 2 single beds pushed together with one large duvet cover. The duvet cover very heavy for summer. No excess bedding available. One of us slept on top of the duvet with a borrowed throw from the double room for a cover. The bathroom had hairs on the floor. No mirror to sit at in the bedroom.
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Mr (10/5): - Very luxurious .loved the room.breakfast fabulous .great attention.
- McChesney (8/5): Great value for money, good food, warm staff, great location, delay at breakfast was our only issue. - Location is excellent Our only negative was the time it took to serve cooked breakfast - one morning was 45 minutes and one was 30 minutes
- JAmes (10/5): - Very nice and quiet. Nothing.
- Mary (10/5): - Staff was so welcoming and helpful. Can't recommend them enough. Nothing.
- Josephine (7/5): The staff were all lovely wee would definitely say - There was a wide variety for breakfast They could accommodate with more of a variety for people with allergies gluten
- HILARY (9/5): - Very nice room, quiet and comfortable Nothing!
- Moore (9/5): Friendly , comfortable stay - Staff are lovely front of house. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Six of us ate at the resturant and everyone enjoyed their meal. breakfast was really quiet and I asked if the chef could mke me an omlette and I was told no.
- Blathnaid (5/5): - Breakfast was okay, very friendly, pleasant staff. Very basic for €311. No tea or coffee maker. Not even a bottle of water in the room.
- Brian (7/5): -
- Shauna (10/5): -
- Shauna (10/5): Fantastic homely hotel - The staff were so lovely and the food was great. So much choice on the menu and our food was really good, we chose to add an extra night to our stay to try other things on the menu. Would 100 percent come back to the same hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The hotel is very pretty it is so well decorated. The bar and restaurant is particularly well decorated. Very lovely area to sit in and relax and enjoy a meal. The breakfast is really very good. With fresh home made scones and wheaten as well as a cooked option, fruit and cereals also. We liked everything about this hotel especially for the price. Couldn't fault it.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Derek (10/5): - Top class service from all the team at Customs House Inn. Super friendly manager and staff who went above and beyond to accommodate us. Great food and excellent room and very clean. Highly recommended. Nothing!
- Declan (8/5): -
- Sara (9/5): Good value for money - The location was very convenient. The staff was lovely and helpful. The place was quiet. The breakfast was very good too. Everything was excellent. The only comment would be that the light from the corridor was entering the room during the night.
- Edel (9/5): - Very accommodating and friendly. Great location for the stairway to heaven hike and marble arch cave tour. Nice quite village.
Bed was super comfy, room was very modern.
- Glenn (10/5): Just Outstanding…. - The staff were amazing and a beautiful hotel and setting Nothing
- EleanorEleanor (10/5): An exceptional Inn with great staff, food, and bedrooms. - The property was exceptional and way above our expectation. We had a beautifully decorated bedroom and the en-suite had the most beautiful free standing bath. The entire property is very well furnished with good quality tables and chairs. The staff are very pleasant and efficient especially Lorna who went above and beyond sorting out Booking.Coms errors. Thank you so much for accommodating us. There is nothing to fault.
- john (9/5): Very enjoyable - The rooms , the food, the staff all grand No proper kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The pouches and Nescafe machines are not good and would deter me from staying again, although apart from that -super
- Sam (8/5): -
- Peter (9/5): -
- Patrick Collins (10/5): - Loved the food. Delicious.
- Ross (10/5): Well run bed and breakfast off the main tourist path. Quiet and comfortable - We had breakfast included and it was great. The room was the big surprise. We were on the top floor with a nice view over a park and to the lake. The bed was really comfortable and there was a small alcove where I could have morning coffee while my girlfriend slept in.
A few restaurants in Belcoo and a short walk across the bridge to Blacklion for even more pubs and restaurants.
We really felt this place had it all
- Dermot (8/5): Will go back! - The cleanliness of the rooms and great staff. The Guinness wasn't great. Maybe bad run on it that day. Would have preferred the soda to have been fried more. Didn't ask and positive it would have been if I asked
- becky (10/5): Great hotel. Lovely location. - The rooms were clean and tidy. A great fresh breakfast.
