• Jeffrey (2/5): - I sent two messages to the property asking what to do if my flight was delayed, and we didn’t arrive by 11 pm. I never got a response. Turns out that flight was delayed, and we would arrive 15-20 minutes after 11 pm. We tried to call hotel, but no answered. We ended up booking another hotel.

• Verified traveler (6/5): The Most Unique Experience Ever. - Well, it was an experience all right. The place and location was very interesting and unique for being in the heart of Paris. Cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The shower had no place to put soap, towel racks or hooks to hang towels. The sink was too small and basically useless. No electric plugs where needed. The bed was very uncomfortable. I will say the place was unique and eventhough, very hard to maneuver luggage up and down the stairs, it did give us a special look into inner city life. An experience for sure, but some simple improvements could make a world of difference. More plugs in the right places, a new mirror, towel racks, soap dish in the shower and a larger sink in the bathroom. Very unique and special indeed.

• Pieter (2/5): Do not go here - Found lots of hairs on the floor and in the bed. Shower drain was broken, room flooded. Disgusting soap mix in old plastic dispenser. Tv didn’t work…Everything here is dirty or broken. The staff was friendly but it is obvious that no one really cares that guests are comfortable.
• Catherine E (10/5): Hidden Simple Find - Check in was very late and the attendant was very helpful. The area was beautiful clean and quaint. Only one thing that was pretty difficult, the hostel is within the building so it was very hard to find. You most go into “tipsy” bar to find the person to accommodate your stay.

• Kristina (2/5): - Horrible, the worst hostel I have ever been to in Europe. The reception is in a bar, available only about 4 hours per day. The bathroom has never been cleaned in our 3 nights. It has not been clean before we got there. The shower is broken and the water was all around the floor. No toietries. Not much space in the room. Absolutely, nit the way it is shown in the pictures. I want my money back.

The shower was also busted it was one of those handheld heads that's supposed to attach to a pole but the pole was missing. Idk i was there for 2 nights so I dealt with

I booked the property for 3 nights, hence i had to stay because it was non-refundable. Some lights were not working, the fridge was not working. The shower curtain was old and dirty. No proper toiletries provided.

• Paige (10/5): - I'm not sure why this has such poor ratings. I thought it was perfectly nice for the price! It is loud because it's above a bar and on a great nightlife street. But I just used earplugs and slept great!
• danecobain (8/5): You get what you pay for - This place is kind of between a hostel and a hotel. The rooms are pretty basic and the walls are quite thin, but it has a great location and friendly staff, plus a cat called Gigi. It reminded me of my room at university.
• Beckysalt (4/5): Les miserables - Very friendly and helpful staff who ran the bar downstairs, the location is great - only a short walk to chatelet and some cosy bars and restaurants up and down the street. When we entered the room however, we were engulfed by the strong smell of paint fumes, the toilet, the shower and the bed were all in same room and the single chair and desk just added to the depressing vibe of the place, along with a single generic canvas art still in its wrapper that hang on the wall. Due to it raining heavily whilst we were there, on our first morning the door had swollen shut trapping us inside. The windows were covered with thick black temporary plastic sheets (this at least kept the light out in the morning) however we were unable to open them during the day. The price you pay to stay here is for the location only, nothing about the room was nice. However I blame myself, not the hotel or the staff, as I failed to read the reviews before booking.
• TrailBlazer244119 (6/5): It’s a hostel - Super location, great staff, cute bar downstairs with cheap beverages and a cat that lives on the bar and loves a scratch. Don’t book this if you want a fancy hotel. It’s absolutely fine for young, chilled travellers looking for a place to stay. (Not allowed to put toilet paper down the toilet — but there’s a maccas down the road if you need to poop and don’t want to stink the bins 👌🏻)
• H6441KSrebeccal (2/5): Unsafe and Dangerous! - My daughter and 3 of her friends checked into this hotel 2 nights ago to be horrified! The door did not lock on the room - the bed had no quilt cover - the cleanliness was much to be desired. After reporting their concerns a guy tried to fix the lock with a screwdriver to no avail! The area felt very unsafe, groups hanging around outside the hotel playing music The group felt so distressed they left the hotel and found a new hotel. The description was definitely NOT what advertised on booking.com and to be insulted by a 30 euro refund was disgusting.
• emk_carruthers (2/5): My mother would have it condemned - This hotel was an interesting combination of contradictions. We booked our trip to Paris quite late and took a chance on this hotel, even with so few reviews. And oh boy, kiddies, do I have a review for you. On the brighter side, the location was amazing, just a fifteen minute walk to Le Marais or Chatelet. On the corner of the street was the nicest bakery, around the corner was a Monoprix (supermarket) and within easy walking distance were several pharmacy’s, a Christmas market, and some very cute cafés, as well as a metro. The staff were polite and friendly, even though we spoke little French, and even directed us to all these on arrival. The area was relatively quiet, and the bar downstairs had a very friendly black cat, who was gorgeous and likes pats. HOWEVER The facilities, although good on paper, were rather rotten in person. I travelled with a friend on our Christmas holiday, and we expected a clean room, a clean bathroom and not much more, having slept in our fair share of not super accomodation. Instead, we were put in a room with an open bidet, filthy floors with moss growing in the corners, stained (and I mean STAINED) chairs and a table that we couldn’t put anything on in fear of it falling over. It was the bathroom that really killed this place for us though. I have seen outback drop toilets in Central Australia that were more pleasant and hygienic than this. The ventilation for said bathroom was a hole in the wall - directly into our room. Due to this lack of ventilation, there was black mould all over the ceiling. The shower head had mould growing on it, and due to the build up, no longer acted as a shower; just a mildly smelly drip of water. To make matters worse, the sewer was inside the bathroom, and toilet paper had to go in the bin, lest the sewer over flow. Our room, after about two days, smelt like the toilet, so much so that it made me incredibly ill. The staff were very kind and moved our room with no fuss at all. The new room wasn’t much better, and the double bed we were sharing was more a King Single, and the toilet smell was mostly gone. Mostly. There were clearly a lot of young adults staying in this hotel, doing the same as we were. There were also a lot of gentlemen entertaining women of the night, per se, and hence the street the hotel is on is home to many a strip club. They were, however, secondary in their offence only to the bathrooms. If you’re willing to sacrifice your dignity and hygiene for location, go for it. Personally, I would not stay in this hotel again if you paid me.
• nicolefewtrell (4/5): Not worth it! - When booking our trip to Paris we decided to look for cheap hotels/hostels and found Hotel Du Globe. The reviews weren't too bad but honestly turning up there was a horror story. The room was literally a bed, two chairs and a sink.. The window was a balcony window that looked onto the rooms of another hotel/flats. This wouldn't bother me but considering we didn't have a full curtain we had to sit down to get changed to prevent being seen. The pillows and covers on the bed were literally so old, it was just not comfortable at all. The plug sockets barely worked. the window didn't open properly and there was mould on the walls and ceilings. The shared bathrooms are vile and you can't flush toilet paper, you have to bin it.. making it smell. Don't skimp on the hotel just not worth it at all. The only decent thing about the hotel is that it is very close to a metro stop that can take you anywhere in Paris but that's all. The staff were also nice but it doesn't change the hotel itself. Sadly I don't have any photographs, as I didn't want to remember it.
• capevalentina (4/5): Too expensive - The hostel is quite near to Louvre and Centre Pompidou but it's not in a quiet street, because it is full of strip club and shop that sell porn videos. Rooms are little but clean. Bathrooms are little and clean too and in common, but there aren't window or rotor inside of them so air is hot and heavy. You can't throw igienic paper in water, you have to throw it in rubbish. There is a fridge in common with other guests and a microwave but there isn't a emplacement for cooking. in general, I think that is too expensive for the place which is
• sashby16 (2/5): Just don’t do it! - The shared bathrooms absolutely stink due to not being allowed to flush toilet paper and instead having to put it in the bin provided. Our beds had bugs in that you could feel crawling over you in the night and we were constantly finding the bugs crawling over the pillows and our belongings, and since coming home both me and my friend have come up in an awful itchy rash which we can only guess has been caused by this. Also there is a cat that is often running about downstairs and one morning we had to step over it in the corridor while it was playing with a live mouse. Completely disgusting. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else.
• jamorgan13 (10/5): Excellent - We stayed here from the 10th of May to the 14th 2018 and we were pleasantly surprised. We read some horror story reviews but pursued to book regardless. And I'm glad we did! Cheap! And the place, it's a hostel but its got everything you need. Espressos are only €1! Which came in really handy. The staff are amazing and speak amazing English. They'll help you with anything. The room was everything we needed. A bed, plug sockets and a mirror with wash basin. Shared bathroom and shower is cleaned on a regular basis. Bare in mind that this is a hostel so if you're looking for 5* hotel type rooms, book one. Just be prepared to pay the price they charge. Good links to metro. There's one less than a minute walk away. Notre Dame and the Lourve are 20 minute walk. There are strip clubs on the street but if you're anything like me, you'll find it exciting. People go to Amsterdam to purposely go see the red light district. But they didn't bother us anyway. Really recommended this place. Happy Traveling! J&J x
• hollybdoherty (2/5): Stay at the strip joint next door! - Me and a friend booked here for 3 nights for €90 without city tax. Pictures online seemed good for the money and had mixed reviews at the time. Location is brilliant for the city attractions yet be warned the road it's located on what could be passed for a street in the red light district. Hostel is located next door to a strip club where they often try to attract your attention and many strip clubs and sex shops fill the road it's pretty seedy. On arrival our room was located on the first floor, with a shower room next door. Our room had two double beds which were broken when you sat on them and looked like something out of a prison cell, we had a small balcony area which seemed very unsafe and the balcony door did not lock to our room. After pointing this out to the owner he stated there was no key this room is beautiful and its fine the place is safe.. yet there are no safes in the room either. We switched rooms on the third floor to an even worse twin room with a window that did not lock and again broken beds with stained sheets. We're not expecting a lot from a hostel but cmon it could have at least had clean sheets. Noise didn't bother us and the windows also didn't close but I wouldn't pay half as much to stay here as we did. Grim.
• Klee100 (6/5): Central location - We looked online for late deals for cheap hotels in central Paris and when we saw this place for 50 euro we grabbed it. Its right in the central of the city, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and you can walk to the Eiffel Tower from here. Yes the room isn't great, but surely you'll be out most of the time anyway? Hilariously it did say our double room is on suite, but actually that meant it has a basin and bidet. Its clean and safe and fine for one night. There's a car park just down the road which could cost up to 40 euro. Please only get this room through a last minute/deal of the day website because you will not want to pay 150 euro which is the listed rate. If you want luxury, get your credit card out, go to a hotel and pay a fortune for it.
• Miia50 (2/5): If possible, choose another place to stay. - Location of the hotel is good, but still difficult to find, as it is a small place. OK communication with the staff, but the hotel itself is terrible. I thought that maybe for one night it is OK, but it is not. As the room basically did not have a bed. There was one, but if you try to sleep, it is the same as doing it on the floor. Nothing soft in this bed-similar object. Bathroom was outside the room and clean.

• ExplorerEms (8/5): Creepy but Enough for Sleeping only - The room that was give to me is on the 5F and can only be reached by stairs. Of course if you are a tourist of Paris, majority of what you will do is to walk. As per my title states, the room is just for sleeping and good thing there is heater otherwise you will be frozen. I think its also along a red light district as I see lot of you know.. Its a bit creepy but overall, the reason why I rated 4 is because its worth the money you pay. Will I come back to this hotel, not sure. :-)
• coraalicen (4/5): is what it says on the tin - not going to complain as the place isnt decieving anyone it shows it exactly as it is.. not great place to stay crowds of people outside the door to the rooms each night feels unsafe! just wasnt for me! Although cheap the few extra euros for a room elsewhere is worth it if you are considering staying here!
