• Erica (9/5): It was an excellent last minute stay! - The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly! The one elevator was broken and the other elevator's buttons were switched! So to go up, you had to push the down.

The continental breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Some of the food that was cooked felt inedible, but I did appreciated the dietary friendly options.

I needed to read next to the bathroom with that light on and had a hard time with it Since there are so many hotels in that location I would say at another one versus the Marriott very disappointing.

When we first checked in, we were assigned a room that had a bad odour and was very cold as the window was wide open as it appeared the housekeeping staff was trying to air it out. The room also had tear in the carpet that the front desk staff didn’t seem to know about but thankfully they moved us to a much better room. Breakfast was good but staff member had the habit of closing things down before closing time, and one morning she was inconveniently taking breakfast goods away over 30 minutes before breakfast closed.

The bed was pretty comfortable and the air conditioner kept the room perfect temp. We didn’t need the kitchenette but it was really nice. There was a really nice patio area out back with comfortable chairs and a fire table that was lit nightly. The pool was just beside this. We did not use the breakfast as we ate with family but the breakfast area was really nice.

When I got to the breakfast room, I noticed that there wasn’t anymore waffle batter. I was kind of disappointed but when a staff noticed my dissatisfaction they went ahead and made some more batter and powered up the waffle maker. They weren’t bothered or annoyed at all. This will definitely be my go to hotel.

The bar that holds the shower curtain was on wrong so it basically just slide to the middle and water splashed out the two sides. The TV cable constantly disconnected and had to reset. Lastly the sausage that was served at breakfast was dry and tasted line it was recooked multiple times. The food in general was luke warm.

• Mobile743764 (4/5): Waco experience - The location of the hotel was great however the service and cleanliness were not. They asked us if we wanted housekeeping and we said we did but we did not have it at all during our stay. Our door was left open one day by hotel staff and when we inquired about housekeeping they said they would come the next day but still they did not. We had to get our own towels each day and the trash was never emptied. Drawers in both the living room and one of the bedrooms would not remain closed and even though it was reported, nothing was done. We were very disappointed in the service of this hotel.

• karenoJ5112PB (2/5): Awful experience - DO NOT TRUST YOUR RESERVATION WILL BE HONORED! - FIRST of all, I have been booking and staying at this specific Townplace Suites for state cross country and track meets for YEARS, and have NEVER had an issue like this. I booked 4 rooms, specifically for the needs of my team and coaches, on March 26th for a one night stay May 3-4. I PREPAID for a 2 bedroom suite, reserved 2 more rooms with 2 queen beds to accommodate my team of 4 girls and 4 boys - PLUS their families and our coaches. I also booked a King for a coach. I verified my reservation weekly and checked in on the Bonvoy app the night before (May 2nd). Friday morning, the day of our arrival, Taylor, Director of Sales, called to inform me that my reservation was being canceled and they needed to move my 4 reservations to another property because there were guests who didn't 'check out' and they needed my rooms. I responded very nicely with "I cannot move, I have families coming in who are staying at the property to be near their children" - I also pulled the titanium level, owners for 19 years card and asked her to please find other guests who could move. I told her that I had prepaid, already checked in, and could not move. She said OK. I arrived at the property a little before 3pm, just ahead of my teams first race at 5pm. The woman who checked us in gave us room keys - each coded with 2 br, 1 king, 2q, etc. When we got to the rooms, they were all 1 king bed studios. I came back down and was told that the GM had switched our rooms that morning and there was nothing she or anyone else could do. NO apology. She proceeded to call her manager who also did NOT apologize and actually blamed me for not switching hotels when Taylor called. He was rude and disrespectful and could not give me a reason as to why Carli changed our rooms. I again (admittedly, not so nicely) asked how this could happen if I 1. Made the reservation for specific rooms 5 weeks in advance. 2. Prepaid for one of the rooms, and 3. Checked in the night before. He had nothing to say, no apology, and again blamed me for not switching properties. If it had just been me and my coaching staff, that would have been tolerable, but it was 14 to 16 year old athletes who were unable to get good rest before competing in the state championship races that evening and the next day. It has been 3 days, and I have not had a single person reach out to me with any explanation. I feel just awful for my team and their families who had a terrible first experience at state.

• lisawT9569ID (4/5): Not recommended - So many negative things about this place. There was no bedding for the pullout sofa, so I had to go downstairs and request it. I was given only 1 sheet and 1 thin cover. After asking for a complete set, she gave me an additional sheet and a blanket, but there were NO PILLOWS AVAILABLE! Since they are getting new furniture (which is much needed), there are large boxes crowding the elevator lobby and workout room. Lastly, looking out our window we were greeted with the view of a slimy green pool.

When we arrived we found the pool full of green, nasty water with trash floating on top - not what we were expecting at all!!

I’d appreciate the staff being better attentive to the guests instead of in the office on their phones while there’s a lot of people in the lobby and dining room, during breakfast. They do need better coffee makers and enough for all of the rooms as I had to have someone find one for me since mine was not in the room. We didn’t get our room cleaned, maybe due to the hotel being at full capacity, but clean towels were available upon request. I liked it enough to come back.

• scottygator94 (10/5): Wonderful location for a business stay! - Had an overnight stay here for business, loved the location! All staff members I encountered were very friendly and helpful;they even got me checked in early on Sunday afternoon. I really like this location because there are some pretty good dining options within a quick walk, like Chuy’s, Fish City Grill, Lounge 93, and Saltgrass Steakhouse. There are some retail and other dining options on the other side of the highway, too. The breakfast buffet was especially yummy on the Monday morning I was there, thanks to Sarah the head cook! She had some wonderful items out for the oatmeal, including crushed graham crackers, and the mini omelettes were especially amazing.
• Brandi (10/5): Safe Friendly & Convenient - Office staff and housekeeping are all friendly and kind. On check in I was able to get a higher floor (I prefer when traveling alone to be higher in the building). And when he gave me the room number he wrote it down and handed it to me upside down so no one else could see it. The area is great for food and close to the hospital and shopping. I felt safe in the hotel and got good sleep in a comfy bed.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice room, rude front desk employee - The room was nice but the room wasnt ready when we arrived around 6pm and the front desk employee was very rude. She did not even apologize for the room not being ready. The rest of the staff seemed nice.
