Guest Reviews
- Aubrey (8/5): Met or exceeded expectation. There are some thoughtful touches, particularly for longer stay visits -
- Candice (9/5): -
- Ron (9/5): Very nice building, staff were very pleasant. - Breakfast was good.
The coffee was horrible. The breakfast coffee.
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Hailey (6/5): -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Lobby was nice, you can tell the rooms are out of date and worn out. - Breakfast has lots of options and the location is close to amenities Small room, no tub. We booked a city view then got put in a view of the roof room. Then I had to go down and ask for it to be exchanged for city view, and by chance they had one available
- Joseph (10/5): Excellent -
- Sandra (5/5): - Rooms are nice and wifi is decen. The bedsheets and towels had stains on them.
- Kathryn (9/5): - All was very good for the three nights that I was there I had booked my room in January and during the week prior to my stay realized that I could not be there by the Thursday, so cancelled it.
I was assured by the hotel. that I would not be charged for that night. However upon checking out I was told that because the booking was done through a third party, the hotel could not make the adjustment.
I would very much appreciate your attention to this matter
Thank you
Kathryn Marion
- IAN (7/5): Was disappointed that TV did not work and several lights had the light bulbs removed. - Was okay basic, not as good as Hamptons No fresh fruit, pastry selection was basic.
- William ( Bill ) (9/5): -
- linda (6/5): Won’t stay there again they did not salt for us. We were in the handicap parking and it was a sheet of ice to the door. - The bed and breakfast We are seniors one night the elevators didn’t work and we had to walk three flights of stairs. The rooms were dirty. The couch was disgusting and there was 30 or 40 kids from a hockey team on our floor running up and down and up and down the hallway playing hockey.
- Derek (10/5): - Great service
- Maryellen (8/5): - Top floor VERY HOT in hallways. Desk staff not present, door shut. someone waited for 10min to check in.
- Thomas (8/5): - Clean room, service was good.
- Mary (10/5): - Super friendly staff! Room! Awesome! Could not believe the extent of making our stay effortless from tea towels to wine glasses! Then we found out they will be starting renovations!!! WHAT???? This place looks brand new! Front desk staff FANTASTIC!! Please pass this on to them!! ( can’t recall their names). When we visit Kincardine again we’ll definitely book in here! Sue and Chris Robinson ( Marriott owners…time share …2005!)
- Trung (10/5): - N/a
- Guilbeault (6/5): - Friendly greeting. Hotel exterior updated. Interior renovations are not complete. Rooms weren't reflective of the Marriott brand.
- NARAN (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Mara (2/5): - Did not clean room
- Amber (10/5): - Amazing place to stay. Breakfast was fantastic. An actual hot breakfast is hard to find and this was perfect
- Muhammad Hannan (8/5): - Clean room
- tom (10/5): - a great stay just no restaurant or bar at the hotel
- Ehab (10/5): - Property is very clean , staff was very helpful and its location was very convenient.
- Greg (10/5): - Nice new place!!
- Dilushinie (10/5): Great service - Had a great time at this hotel for a weekend getaway with my bf for his bday. The staff was great and accommodating, and gave us access to the communal bbq.
- Witmer (8/5): -
- Amy (8/5): - We chose the hotel because it had EV charging.
When we got there we learned that the two charging stations were out of commission due to the imminent installation of new chargers. However, there was nothing on the hotel website about the chargers not being usable. Very disappointing.
- catharine (4/5): - The property appears charming on the website but it was a huge disappointment. I booked the hotel based on having an office area / work station and the pool. The pool was very cold and incredibly dirty didn't go in. The computer barely worked and the printer was broken so I was not as advertised.
- Christiane (10/5): - We usually stay there when in Kincardine. Funny thing is that we like it because of the kitchenette but we never use it:-)
- Birgit (10/5): - Fun day in Kincardine
- Abraham (10/5): - Very good
- Louise (5/5): The hotel was fine but I was pleased it was for just one night. I would not like to stay any longer. It was way over pri - The location was handy, it is obviously being renovated whilst being operational. The electric chargers not working. The room had quite a musty smell and the sofa was stained.
- PAULA (6/5): - The suite had a nice kitchen. Property is not taken care of. Carpeting in hall was stretched everywhere. Wooden floors on main floor needed to be washed. Furniture in breakfast area was ripped and torn on the seats.
The sheets on our bed had a musty smell. We were very disappointed in this hotel.
- Rehan (10/5): - Excellent, specially kitchen unit and big size refrigerator in room
- Kulwant (10/5): - Nice& Clean, Good Sraff
- Jolene (10/5): - Newer hotel. Spacious rooms
- Gustavo (8/5): - The good: The room, the beds, the cleanliness
The meh: The breakfast was abundant but not exceptional, not free, not "On Us" It is included in the price.
The Ugly: The payment device at the check-in desk does not show the amount you are inserting your credit card for.
- Susan (8/5): - The room has all the amenities for a short or long-term stay. The breakfast was very good and there was a wide selection of hot and cold food. However, the bench seats in the dining area are in very bad need of recovering as the covering literally falls apart when people are seated on them. I would suggest that there needs to be lighting along the driveway leading up to the hotel from the roadway as it is very dark in that area. I would recommend this hotel.
- Adam (10/5): - Nice place!
- Eshrak (6/5): - Breakfast wasn't up to the standard. Room was ok.
- Christos (8/5): - No complaints
- Karen (8/5): - The breakfast was expertly managed by the hard working staff. Rooms were la good size and accommodated our bikes. Kincardine is a lovely town and it was nice to be in so close to the amenities and the bike trail.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Smooth and Pleasant Stay - I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The entire property was very clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable experience. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options and great quality. Both check-in and check-out were quick and smooth, making the whole stay hassle-free. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again!
- Shyren (6/5): - *took so long to check in
- Beth (10/5): - Good location and breakfast included! We didn’t know that there were accessible rooms available for people who need- doorbells. We are Deaf and those rooms would be great for us! The front desk workers saw us as Deaf customers and they should offer us those rooms.
- Ivan (6/5): - Maintenance of the A/C, washroom and room in general should be better (loud A/C, broken toilet seat, chewed up sofa).
Very kind cleaning and kitchen staff made it worth the stay.
- Connie (10/5): - Love the quiet and friendly hotel
- Oghomen (6/5): - It was an ok property. Most impressive was the complementary breakfast. It was great. The kitchen in the room was really good. The room was spacious. The only down side was the air conditioner was not cool enough. Overall it was a good experience and the location was great.
- Olga (8/5): Very nice hotel. - Location is perfect. It’s short drive to the beach. The room is very spacious and nicely decorated. We love the breakfast. They have some healthy choices.
- Catherine (6/5): - We stayed 2 nights, room wasnt noise proof. We went to the pool and structures werent working and we went to tell the front desk and she just said press the button it works. We went back pressed the buttons and it DID NOT WORK, we went back to her to let her know and she seemed annoyed and said it works just press it. So we just let it go, kids were disappointed but whatever then as we were swimming we start finding balls of hair and dissolving tissue we asked the front desk and she said pool didnt get cleaned all weekend and she wasnt sure when the maintenence guy was coming, if we didnt like it to try going back to the pool later. Disappointing, not planning to go back.
- ahmed (6/5): - Small town with one street, everything close early except bars, not ideal for families, the front desk staff are not well trained, no welcome even very cold approach . Things to be improved…
- Susan (8/5): - The room was a good size for a longer stay. We had plenty of room to hang out and even a table to eat at. The pool seems to need some repairs. The extra features like the buckets that dump were not working. The breakfast selection on the first day (Friday) was great, but it seemed like there were less options on the weekend. For example, the first day the "bread bin" had pastries like danishes as well as bread and bagels but over the weekend, it was just bread and bagels. It was the same for other things too like flavours of yogurt.
- sunil (8/5): - very nice room and staff but the hot breakfast is best described as quite underwhelming
Dry patties and no bacon or meat
- Aladin (10/5): - Ok
- SJ (3/5): - Plenty of parking, friendly reception, kitchen, and room size. Everything else.
- frank (10/5): - Nice not too busy kids had fun at the pool room was nice clean
- Sandra (8/5): - It would have been nice to have the bar open to watch golf or a ball game. Downtown is not walkable. 30 minute walk. Otherwise it was very clean and service was good at front desk. Rooms are very nice.
- James (10/5): - Once we were able to contact the hotel directly, they were very helpful in getting us a room that, while not AODA compliant, was partially accessible. This is a major failure of Expedia & why I have to speak with hotels directly. Expedia does not have ACCESSIBLE as either a filter or a description of ANY Canadian hotels. Unfortunately many hotels & motels have no idea of what’s considered ACCESSIBLE. This lack of critical information limits the amount of travel we do. We’d book more trips, but can’t really rely on the info or photos from Expedia.
Also a note to Hotels, who takes a bath in a hotel?!! When you renovate it’s cheaper to just install showers and your guests will be more happy. Additionally a single grab bar doesn’t make an accessible WC!
- Brenda (10/5): A weekend in Kincardine - What a lovely hotel. Great service, great breakfast and wonderful spacious rooms
- Ron (8/5): Great. - Spacious room, very clean and quiet, lots of amenities. The breakfast was quite decent as well!
- Tess (10/5): - It’s close to Station beach and walking distance to a grocery store.
- Brian (10/5): - The potatoes at breakfast were cold .
Beds comfortable
- Jeremy (6/5): Vacation - Bathroom floor was dirty , handprints on white bathroom door , the one bed had sand in the sheets before we got inn
- Theresa (10/5): - Great place to stay and explore!
- Ella (10/5): - Nice rooms
- Verified traveler (4/5): What happened to this place? - We have been going to this hotel for years and it was verry good to excellent. WHAT HAPPENED NOW? New management?
Room was just passed on from previous occupants to us, without been fully cleaned. Minimum help.
- Mary (10/5): - I liked the barbecue and loaning of small appliances, games etc
- Lyn (9/5): It was nice to have kitchen facilities and being close to amenities. A short drive to the beach! - The room was clean and comfortable.
- Shirley (10/5): - Very clean and friendly staff
- Monica (6/5): - Hotel is average. Older building. Didn't feel 100% clean but clean enough.
Location is good though. Quick drive to the beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient - 5min drive to the beach. Tmmy’s mcdonalds, boston pizza and cdn tire around the area.. room is spacious, but they don’t have sofa bed, so a fam of 5 will need two rooms booked because max per room is only 4 for 2 queen beds.. breakfast could use a little upgrade.. dry sausage and eggs.. but overall, hotel is a good choice in the area..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - bed comfortable, good breakfast staff friendly
- Marianne (6/5): See above - Our breakfast was chaotic due to young baseball players, however the kids and their families deserve a wkd away as much as we did.
My main concern with your VERY expense hotel was the lack of quality that one expects at a Marriott Hotel!
The room AC was VERY noisy and the furniture appeared very worn. The view from our room was the roof top and heating system, it certainly was not what one expects from an “over $300.00/ night “ hotel.
The location was great and the staff were very friendly. Replace worn furniture and install a central AC system !
Offer your customers some form of compensation in order to have them return to your beautiful Kincardine.
- Regina (6/5): - Everything related to the property and the facilities was very good, the staff was excellent, super friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the only thing that for my family and I does not have a good score is the included breakfast, that cannot be called a full breakfast, there was no fruit only bananas, they did not have ham, bacon, the scrambled eggs were so cold and there was no other option of whole or boiled eggs or something that complemented the breakfast, I truly regretted the experience with the food only the coffee and the bread were pleasant.
- Fariba (10/5): - Close to town and quiet area.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (8/5): - Good overall all
- Sandro (6/5): Could have been more relaxing - It was clean and friendly The air conditioning unit in my room sounded like a tractor. I had to turn it off and on continuously throughout the night, therefore i did not rest well at all. Bery loud machine!
- Roger (10/5): - It's a beautiful area. The hotel had a lot to offer with the pool and workout room. We really liked the full kitchen in the room. Very friendly staff. We'd come again.
- Sinan (2/5): - The most disgusting and dirty room I have ever seen i won’t go there again
- Barb (10/5): Excellent facility will definitely return -
- Gloria (9/5): Superb -
- Ross (10/5): - Beautiful, modern facilty. Extremely clean with very comfortable accommodations. Handy location by the highway and only a 5 minute drive to downtown Kincardine or the beach.
- Tami (9/5): Superb -
- Liz (8/5): - Bathroom was huge, rooms were great, breakfast was good the downside was the Air conditioner was the same temp of 21/22 regardless of the setting…. It was too warm for sleeping… so did not sleep well, front desk was notified but nothing was done. Will not stay there again for this reason.
- Giuseppe (8/5): Clean and spacious - Room was very clean, breakfast was great The pool was closed, for a while the day we checked in and again when all day when we checked out. We only stayed for one night.
- Bryan (8/5): - It was a grewt stay. The coffee was watered down though.
- RUBAN (6/5): - Not worth for the money
- Vashtee (6/5): It’s a nice place to stay in a great location, but they are struggling to staff appropriately. - Location, the kitchenette, comfortable beds. There was a very foul odour in the hallway in the afternoon. And unacceptable delays with providing the room one of the party in our group had booked. The attendant didn’t seem to care about the issue and the compounded it further by giving away the room to a party that came after her.
- Bibi (10/5): - Comfortable
- Mark (4/5): Did not meet expectations - Our stay at this hotel did not meet expectations we had of a Marriott branded hotel. The rooms and furnishings are dated, bathroom fixtures were loose, 3 of the 4 light bulbs in the hallway ceiling fixture were burned out, and there was an unrepaired/patched hole in the bedroom wall left behind by a technician who repaired something behind it. The hotel lobby itself had a sullen ambience which was less than inviting. The breakfast, although adequate, was less than appetizing, and the coffee was weak and disappointing. Had to walk to the Tim's down the street to get real coffee. Service was nowhere to be found as the hotel appears to be understaffed. Overall, the staff are courteous and pleasant but the hotel could use a refurbishment.
- Richard (10/5): - Please pass on our full compliments to staff. The General Manager was fantastic.
- SYLVIANE (10/5): - Spacious
- Brenda (10/5): - We love the Marriott in Kincardine! Will be back this summer to swim in the lake.
- james (8/5): - Great having breakfast included and a decent sized room with insuite amenities .
- Mike (8/5): - My wife and I enjoyed our time in Kincardine. The hotel staff were very helpful, gave us tips on where we could dine and in giving directions to the beach.
- Kshitij (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kyra (1/5): Bad - Nothing. Staff misinformed us when we checked in, had to charge the rooms separately, couldn't explain why they were charging us 240 per room when we had booked for 213 until we checked out the next morning and told us it was for a $20 safety deposit and it would be refunded back to the card (math doesn't even work out on that). On top of having no power from 7am. Told us no breakfast but somehow there was one??? all the lamps in the room were covered in dust. Just overall really bad customer service, super expensive for a room you couldn't turn a bathroom light on in the morning.
- SIRISH (10/5): - It was more than expectations.
