Hotel in a quiet location, large clean room, excellent breakfast and very helpful receptionist. Freshy and clean pool everytime. Taxi (local white pick-ups) to the city for 5 USD. A great day is when you get taxi to the entrance to Tortuga bay, walk around 1,5km to the beach, you will spend a great day there until about 3PM (just watch out for the sun), water taxi from the beach to the city (10 USD, and time you book with the lady on beach) for shopping, dinner and so on and back to the hotel at night...

Det tager 8-10 min kørsel i taxa i byen og koster 5 dollars . Man kommer til at se og oplever hvordan de lokale folk bo udenfor byen og masse af skønne natur . Enormt sød personale der er klar til at hjælpe med det mindste . Der er dejlig morgenmad med frugt som de dyrker i hotellets have og gratis kaffe og vand Der er mulighed til at slappe af og hænger i ligge svømmepool som er så ren og pæn Værelser er rene lige som området udenfor En fantastisk oplevelse hele vejen igennem - klart anbefales Man får så meget for ingen valuta ! Meals, including breakfast, are set although they do check whether you like what they propose. Meals are taken in the communal dining area. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was quite a long way from Puerto Ayora but the taxis were good.

• Katherine naomi (1/5): Disappointing stay – not worth it for the location and extra costs - The staff was friendly most of the time I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Twin Galapagos and would not recommend it if you are looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Santa Cruz. First of all, I booked a family suite that clearly stated it included a one-way airport transfer. However, upon arrival, the hotel told us they never include transfers and charged us for both transfers, despite what was written in my Booking reservation. This immediately felt misleading and frustrating. Regarding Wi-Fi, it is extremely poor. There is almost no connection and very weak signal. When booking, you are given the option to choose either a room with “fast Wi-Fi” or a transfer. I chose the transfer, assuming the Wi-Fi would at least be usable — but in the end, I had neither a transfer nor decent Wi-Fi. It is unclear whether choosing the “fast Wi-Fi” option actually guarantees a usable connection at all. The location is very inconvenient. The hotel is far from the town center, and every trip costs USD 5–6 by taxi (sometimes they even tried to charge us USD 7, which felt like taking advantage of tourists). This adds up very quickly. The hotel does not have a restaurant, only breakfast, so every lunch or dinner requires going into town and paying taxis both ways. This is especially uncomfortable after long tours or when arriving tired from flights. The breakfast has no variety at all. Every single day it was the same: eggs, ham, and bread (not even toasted). The only things that change are the fruit and the juice. After a couple of days, it becomes very repetitive and tiring. The room did not match the photos shown online. The sink area was in poor condition, the blankets were very thin, and we were cold at night. Overall, the room felt basic and disappointing for the price. One of the worst experiences happened on our departure day. Even though the hotel states check-out is until 2:00 PM, and our flight was at 3:00 PM, they told us to leave the room at 9:00 AM, claiming they needed it.
• Dusan (10/5): An absolutely perfect stay with exceptional hospitality, spotless rooms, fresh breakfasts, and a calm location — a true - Absolutely amazing stay — everything was perfect from start to finish! The room was spotless, cleaned every single day, with fresh towels and clean bed sheets provided regularly. Maria José is truly exceptional! She was there for us 24/7, always smiling, always helpful, and made everything so easy for us. She organized tours every day to explore all the incredible places around the Galápagos, and everything was very flexible and perfectly adapted to what we wanted. Her kindness really stood out, and meeting her sweet little daughter Valentina was an absolute joy — they made us feel like part of the family. Breakfast was with delicious fresh fruit and freshly made juices every morning — such a perfect way to start the day. The place itself is wonderfully calm and peaceful, located right in the middle of the island. Puerto Ayora is only about 12 minutes away by taxi, which costs around 5–6 USD, making it very easy to get around. Overall, 10/10 — an unforgettable experience! We truly loved our stay and would come back without hesitation. Highly, highly recommended For us everything was perfect.

• Camilo (9/5): Lindo hotel con gran paisaje y excelente atención - Las instalaciones eran bastante agradables y tenían servicios todo el día disponibles, como café y agua caliente gratis permanentes. El paisaje era bastante lindo, diferente, bastante verde. Además de esto, las personas que atendían siempre fueron muy amables y estuvieron pendientes de lo que pudiéramos necesitar para hacer nuestra estancia más agradable. El alojamiento en sí no tiene nada que no nos haya gustado, pero si deben considerar que está como a 10-15 minutos de Puerto Ayora. El transporte puede demorarse un poco en llegar, pero en el hotel se encargan de siempre apoyar para pedir uno. Cada trayecto desde y hacia el hotel cuesta 5 dólares.

Jose, Lis, Marie and team made us feel so welcome and were so helpful with tour and taxi bookings. The location is perfect, so quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, fresh juice, croissant, fruits and eggs. Would highly recommend this hotel! We loved everything!

Er hat sogar morgens mit ins an der Kreuzung in der Stadt gewartet bis wir von den Touren Anbietern abgeholt wurden. Ansonsten große Zimmer, rund um die Uhr Kaffe/Tee und Wasser. Schöner Garten. Jederzeit gerne wieder dort :-) Frühstück hätte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein können.

When we arrived, the host sorted a cab for Porta Aroya (Santa Crus Island) where we spent the day. The hotel is located in beautiful quiet surroundings with plants. We only spent one day and night, but it would have been nice to stay longer. The hosts were helpful and organised a taxi to the Baltra airport. I liked everything.

Después de disfrutar de Puerto Aoya en las Galápagos, se puede entrar en contacto con la vida de los lugareños en el restaurante y supermercado Bellavista. El hotel se encuentra en un lugar tranquilo y relajante. Para llegar a Puerto Aoya, recomendamos alquilar una bicicleta y coger el autobús de vuelta al túnel por 50¢. El personal es amable.
• Joel (10/5): This hotel was recommended to us by a friend and now we will GLADLY recommend this hotel to others. - Jose provided excellent recommendations for economic tours - he made the arrangements for us and explained what would make our short visit most meaningful. We were provided a wonderful meal the first night we arrived; the cost was not shared with us until we received the notification on our bill the following day. The meal was amazing, so I don't want to reflect negatively on that. It's just a good idea to let guests know ahead of time what they will be paying.

• Marcopolonen (1/5): Don't make the mistake to get yourself in this trouble!!! ☠️☠️☠️💣💣💣 - This place is a complete scam and a waste of money, nothing is true to what is said in the presentation and neither are the pictures. The location is in the middle of nowhere and you are forced to eat overpriced and small portions of home cooking, what they call a "restaurant ". The whole place is like a floor-to-ceiling construction site, which is full of mold. The mold starts in the garden and the whole building is full of it, even the bed felt wet. We didn't even want to take a shower because there was mold everywhere and it immediately started affecting our breath. Also, at night the place is full of black worms that come from everywhere; from holes in the wall and under doors, to spend the night. The atmosphere is twisted and strange. Upon arrival, we were shown three different apartments, all of which were unfinished. In the end we got 2 different, half rooms, which were empty, they didn't even have a wardrobe, just beds. The "fully equipped" kitchen was a sink, we got some extras when we asked for them: 4 plates, cutlery and 2 cups that we didn't do anything with because there wasn't even a microwave. We got the refrigerator and the safe by asking. At the same time, we were sold "island tours" for 300€/person, which our friends got from the travel store in Puerto Ayora for 30€/person. A creepy place, like from a horror movie and a truly traumatizing experience. We don't understand how booking.com usually even markets such a place, at least it doesn't take responsibility for anything. This place shouldn't exist, they are playing with people's health...(whole Galapagos Islands is just a robbery though...) ‼️‼️‼️ It was my dream to visit Galapagos Islands, it became a nightmare and trauma 😭😭😭 Please, read the whole review!!!

• Verified traveler (2/5): Do Not Ever Stay at This Hotel - This is a horrible hotel. The WiFi doesn’t work even though they mentioned it would provide WiFi. The room and dining room were full of insects. The owner of the hotel is not a friendly person. When my boyfriend and I complained about the WiFi and the insects being everywhere, Maria Jose, the owner made a bunch of excuses. My boyfriend and I asked for a refund and Maria Jose overreacted and said that it was impossible to give a refund and she didn’t want to do it. My boyfriend and I got scammed.

• Deepak (2/5): - The property is located far off from main area. You need to get off and on using a cab, for 3 days add another 30 bucks for cab. Expedia needs to throw this property out of their listing and i would blame expedia that showed this property for the area i am searching. A 20 year old kid is left scrmabling dealing with customers . We had multiple issues 1. Check - In was ok 2. Booked a trip thru hotel and it turned out to be a disaster. The owner Jose sold something and when we went to island, the guides had differrent itinery and threatened to leave us on the island when we asked for the promised tour. I did not get a refund from Jose.. Pure and simple cheating STAY AWAY
• Luis (5/5): Good price for what you get - it’s quite, the staff is really good and help you in everything. it’s 10 min far away from the downtown, take you there is $5 trip. one thing I didn’t like is my watch missed in the hotel. called them but said it was not there. so keep your things very well. the bed have to change cause they are old but all days are clean when you back at night
• Serge (2/5): Desaster - A roof and 4 walls 1. No welcome from the owner. The only sentence pronounced was: please pay asap. 2. Location is isolated. 3. No staff except 1 lady who doesn't speak any other language except local Spanish. 4. No menu. Food is provided without any choice. 5. No extra blanket. 6. Not clean. 7. NO VALUE FOR MONEY. 8. The pictures do not represent reality.. This is not a hotel!! Just people providing a location to get money. Not even worth 1 star !!!!

• Mike (10/5): excellent - Its quite and far from noisy crowd. The sound of forest and animals are the only sound I hear. Maybe a mosquito net because I saw some mosquito flying next to me and fan during summer time.

Surrounded in a lush green tropical setting while still being only 15 minutes away from town by car, you’ll enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature with easy access to everything. The staff does everything to ensure that you enjoy your visit with their focus on hospitality. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but do not seek out luxury here. Instead you connect to what’s important while enjoying the freshest breakfast breads, eggs, fruits, juices, and coffee (most grown onsite). We also had them arrange our tours and other meals and it was a fantastic experience knowing that everything was taken care for you. Expect authentic, spacious, and rustic accommodations that allow you to enjoy nature itself.

Great location because you can see the highlands/farming area, are close to the lava tunnels, and is a good midpoint between the main town and the airport/cruise port. You can hire a "white truck taxi" to take you to Puerto Ayora (the main town) for $5 in about 10 minutes and $25 to the airport/cruise port in about 30 minutes.

• Greta (8/5): Lovely quiet restful stay - This hotel has extremely helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were super comfy. It was just a long way from anywhere and out of your pickup zones. But Cheo was very happy to arrange taxis

• David (8/5): - The staff was truly wonderful and accommodating. They make a delicious homemade breakfast every morning. They were very helpful with arranging transportation. The place was also very beautiful and scenic with many nice trees, plants, and flowers. My only complaint is with the plumbing- the toilets did not flush well and the showers had water that varied from scalding hot to freezing cold. It was difficult to find a comfortable temperature. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and a good value for the money. I give the place 4 stars and would recommend this place to my friends and family.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Decent hotel in the middle if nowhere - Hotel is OK and price point decent value for money. But the location is middle of nowhere. When I booked the address was listed as Puerto ayora. I don't think it is. In any case, it's pretty far from everywhere. So u have to take a cab to go and down for anything and everything. Apart from the cost, it's a pain in the butt. Plenty of options around the main malecón. Look at the map before u book.
• Mike (6/5): Friendly staff - The only problem is that they only have one person working there at all times due low occupancy. Breakfast only available 7am -9am.
• Belle (8/5): Pleasant garden retreat in the highlands - Pleasant garden environment in the cool highlands of Santa Cruz, run by a family. Bananas, papayas, and pineapples grow around the grounds. Rooms are large and comfortable, have hammocks on the porches and some have full kitchens for longer stays. Staff are very friendly (though they don't speak much English). Breakfast and lunch are prepared fresh and available daily in the dining area. Close to highlands attractions such as giant tortoise habitat and lava tubes. Wifi worked better than at most other hotels we stayed at in the Galapagos. The one downside is the many roosters in the neighborhood crow at intervals throughout the night, with a big chorus at dawn!

Had tour of gardens - all organic and great to see various types of plants and fruits and vegetables. Is $5 taxi ride to Puerto Ayora. Swimming pool available. A great view of stars at night from rooftop terrace.

Certainly, they will provide them, but you have to ask for it, for me it should fix and provide, not even asking for it. • Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Excellent location, brand new hotel, I am so glad that I chose Twin Lodge Galapagos. Close to town and easy to get to the airport. The food was great and staff was outstanding. The rooms are big and vey comfortable!!! I recommend this hotel 110%.
