- 997maevem (8/5): Central location, friendly and attentive staff - We stayed here as a 1 night stopover whilst back packing south to Ella. The staff were friendly and check in was very quick and easy after a long drive which was great. The room was fairly basic but had everything we needed. The air con wasn't working so the staff were quick to move us to another room which we really appreciate. In terms of the surroundings it is a few minutes walk from Kandy train station which was perfect for us. The only negative for us was that the room did not have any proper windows, and there were curtains covering a glass wall which would explain why we could hear voices as if they were very close by, so soundproof wasn't the best if you are a light sleeper! Overall this place was great for our needs.

But for a budget option my partner and I were happy. Breakfast was super filling and generous. The hotel is an awkward spot but a close enough walk to the lake and shopping areas.

The view from the lounge was absolutely stunning . The foods was delicious and quantity was large .but price is very reasonable . Staff were super friendly and helpful, always ready to assist us . Specially Mr Chanaka was very kind and friendly with every customers . We really enjoyed .highly recommended this place . Thanks for the management and the staff .

The food was delicious the view was amazing and specially eventhough it is located ryt in the city there are no noise disturbances and is very peaceful for a getaway. Higly recommended.

Special I want to mention chef Chanaka. All staff very friendly clean room. This is the best place to stay if you plan to visit kandy. And they have best restaurants THE WIHIZZ.

We needed to extend our stay on our day of check out after being hospitalised in kandy. The staff organised everything and even waited until we were discharged from hospital at 1230AM to hand deliver us our room key and make sure we got in safe.

The lock on the door, although it did lock, was a bit difficult and frustrating. However, Kandy City stay does get high marks for staff and their local tours. The hotel’s (mainly elephant park) was excellent and very economical.

DO NOT book this hotel. - We booked a deluxe room and expected a deluxe room but if I could give the hotel no stars I would, do not believe the photos, this hotel is the worst we have ever booked to stay in, we checked in but checked out a few hours later. The bed linen was discoloured but cleanliness overall was also very poor but we were prepared to stay as we were only going to be in Kandy for 2 nights, until my husband turned on the bathroom light and saw at least 20 cockroaches scurrying across the floor, within 5 minutes our bags were packed and we had booked ourselves into the Radisson. Just glad we realised the problem before breakfast time as you can imagine what the cockroaches could have been doing all over the food. AVOID!! DO NOT STAY!!!!

Hoteller ligger dejligt centralt både til stationen og byen. Man kunne gå direkte til begge ting! En anbefaling hvis man ønsker at bo midt i byen til få penge.

Rooms weren't very clean. Hotel tuk tuk driver took us to a spice garden that was known for ripping off tourists (driver gets a commission from the garden if you buy something) which didn't leave a good taste. The staff were really friendly. They will organize tours for reasonable prices as well. All in all I highly recommend this place.

The place was exceptionally well kept by the staff .The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful to me, especially since I had a lot of questions with regards to travelling around Kandy and even to other cities in Sri Lanka. The location in Kandy was also situated in an optimal point being in a safe location away from the main city. However it was also a very close distance to the urban city if I wanted to go shopping and site seeing. I definitely recommended kandy city stay to any tourists passing by Kandy! - Verified traveler (6/5): 詳細不明でした - 当日予約して現地に到着し、スリーウィーラー運転手経由で電話をすると意味不明。。。 運転手はほかの（市街地から遠い）宿に連れていく始末。 結局、電気系統の不具合とかで泊まれないとかで、ほかに代替ということだったらしいのですが、だったらメール等で予約確定者全員に知らせるのが当然ではないかと。 まぁ、こちらもチェックイン開始と同時に入ろうとしてましたが。
