• Lucia (7/5): Ci ritornerei - Poche volte ho trovato un host così cordiale e disponibile. Posizione davvero centrale e tranquilla. Balcone con una bella vista e pulito così come la camera e il bagno. Disponibile una macchina da caffè e qualche snack per la colazione, con bollitore e molte tisane a disposizione! Letto e cuscini comodi. La camera ha anche un condizionatore funzionante che ci è stato molto utile. Non ho nulla da segnalare se non la mancanza del telecomando per la tv che quindi Ma non incide sulla stanza. Bagno pulito magari da cambiare la porta della doccia per evitare che si stacchi.

• Francisco (6/5): Mal acceso pero buena ubicación calidad-precio. - Esta bien calidad-precio. Son muy amables, no dejaron cafe, cafetera y barritas para desayunar en la terraza. El acceso al hotel deja mucho que desear, unas escaleras largas y sucias. Dentro del hotel también hay que subir 3 pisos. La habitación no da la sensación de mucha limpieza (las sabanas y edredón a mi no me generaban demasiada confianza) y de echo matamos varias arañas (a mi novia la picó una y pedazo reacción tiene).
• Laura Judith (10/5): Un buen lugar de alojamiento para jóvenes. - Muy limpio y espacioso a comparación de otros alojamientos en Europa, tenía todo lo necesario para pasar unos días amenos. Queda a 10 minutos aproximadamente caminando de la estación centran de La Spezia, que la usábamos todos los días y en frente hay muchas calles con restaurantes y locales para comprar. La ubicación es excelente. No me gusto que para llegar a él tienes que subir demasiadas escaleras ya que se encuentra en lo alto, el edificio no tiene elevador y el cuarto se encuentra en el tercer piso, entonces si es cansado llegar, más con maletas. Si eres joven y llevas poco equipaje, es una buena opción.

It’s also very close to the train station and the city centre. The host was also very nice. I would come back again. :) It would be good to have a sponge and a dishwashing liquid to wash dishes.

Access from main road - 77 steps. Not good if you have decent size cases. Shower head loose and shower doors not on runners.

You have to walk up 77 steps to the location on uneven steps, then another 6 flights of steps since it’s located on the third floor. Be prepared!

And then three floors without an elevator. This is problem if you are with heavy suitcases. The fridge is small and doesn't work well.

• Pat (10/5): Very comfortable room close to station - Not the simplest place to find a good 10 min walk from station. A number of steps to climb to reach entrance of hotel then stairs to climb inside. No lift. 4 rooms available and no reception desk. Access key in a box with a code at front entrance. Code emailed out in advance. Okay doesn't seem real inviting so far and a 5 min walk to any restaurants. However once in room it is a very comfortable safe spacious clean quiet modern room. I would certainly return here if ever come back to La Spezia. It is a very convenient place to visit Cinque terre from. Put key back in coded lock box when departed. Different but no problem arrangement.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Please remember to check email or contact the host before check in coz the check in time is limited. Before checking in, you will got a password to get keys to enter the premise. No one is there to wait for you. So it is very important to make sure you got the passwords before getting there. I received the email with password on that morning around 10:00am under the condition that I didn't make contact to the host. Apart from the check in process may worry you a bit, it is definitely a very good accommodation in La Spezia. Last but not least, there are lots of stepssssss of stairs to climb up to this hostel. Not recommend for elderly or disabled.

• Luiz (6/5): Escadarias! - 130 degraus podem ser pouco, se jovem com mala pequena ou mochila, um uma jornada épica, se cinquentão com malas grandes, como foi meu caso. Outro problema é o sistema hidráulico do prédio, muito barulhento e incomoda pelos banhos tarde da noite. Mas o ap é ótimo, limpo, pessoal bem atencioso, banheiro bom, box pequeno para pessoas grandes ou gordas.
• Diego (4/5): Escadas infinitas - A localização (cerca de 700m da estação de trem) foi o único ponto bom do hotel. Fomos guiados pelo Google Maps que tinha a localização incorreta do lugar. O hotel fica em uma escadaria enorme e, pelo erro do Maps, ainda subimos muito mais degraus que o necessário. Para chegar aos quartos são mais 5 lances de escada! Se você estiver com malas irá sofrer. O local não tem recepção e é preciso telefonar ao proprietário para pegar as chaves. O mesmo não foi muito cordial em nos receber. O quarto é bom, mas eu não recomendaria o lugar.

• Anni (8/5): - Googlemaps näytti sijainnin ihan väärin, käveltiin rinkkojen kanssa rappuset taivaaseen asti, kunnes päätimme soittaa b&b:hen jossa omistaja kertoi meille oikean sijainnin. Emme nähneet omistajaa/työntekijöitä ollenkaaan. Lukot oli todella vaikea avata. Huone oli kuitenkin perussiisti ja hyvällä sijainnilla (kun vain löysimme perille)
• Verified traveler (2/5): À éviter! Manque de professionnalisme ! - Établissement à éviter ! Nous avions réservé et payé une nuit dans cet établissement. Le checking était prévue à 14h. Un mail nous a été envoyé la veille au soir pour nous indiquer que le propriétaire laissait les clefs dans une box sécurisé à l'extérieur. Nous sommes malheureusement arrivés à 16h et avons donc prévenu le propriétaire. Celui-ci n'a pas daigné nous répondre et nous a juste répondu par SMS qu'il avait reloué la chambre comme nous n'étions pas là à l'heure indiquée. Aucun dialogue possible et bien sur aucun remboursement! Nous nous sommes donc retrouvés sans aucun logement dans une ville très touristique ! Lamentable!
• Michael (8/5): Ideal for Cinque Terre train. - Good location for the train and for eating out. The many steps up Cernaia "street" are shallow and not really a problem but you will have more steps up to your apartment. This is not a hotel. No clean towels for our 4 day stay etc but our room/bathroom was recently refurbished and spotless on arrival. Never met/saw the owner or his employees but would stay there again no problem.
• Malgorzata (10/5): Można się zakochać :-) - Wspaniały punkt wypadowy do Cinque Terre.Stąd zaczynają się wycieczkowe rejsy. Miasto przepiękne a lokalizacja B&B Cernaia 42 jest w najpiękniejszym miejscu w mieście i do tego wszędzie blisko: do dworca, do centrum, do mariny. Jedyny problem: może być ciężko jeśli się podróżuje z walizką na kółkach bo trzeba się dostać po stromych i nierównych schodach.Ale to one dodają uroku temu miejscu!
• Lucille (8/5): - 130 stairs from sidewalk to room. Far too many stairs to climb especially with luggage. Stayed for 5 nights no housekeeping the entire stay. Host was friendly and helpful with local information. About 10 minute walk to train station which made transportation to cinque Terre very easy. 5 minute walk to restaurants and shops.
• Tania (8/5): Budget stay - It was generally ok. There were many steps we needed to take before arriving at the building. In addition, the room was located on the 3rd level and there was no elevator which means we needed to climb more steps.
• Karen (8/5): Good spot once inside. - We were a little leary at first because the outside location with all the graffiti had us wondering what we were in for. Once inside the room, we were happy enough about the comfort for the price. The location is good as it is walking distance from the train. Overall, if you don't mind the look of the outside and the walk up the stairs I would recommend.

I enjoyed it because this was my way to work out while away from home. Giacomo was very kind to email me and let me know where i could pick up the key. He has lots of information available in the room regarding the area, etc. I would stay there again.
• Daniel (10/5): Great Hotel Close to Centre of La Spezia - We arrived late for the check-in but they were helpful and accommodating. Its very close to bars/restaurants in the centre of La Spezia and the train is less than a 5 minute walk away to see the villages of Cinque Terre. Pack light as there are a few steps to reach the apartment. But overall, great, clean room, perfect for a weekend away. Will be staying again. Thanks!
• Caz (8/5): Excellent location between waterfront and station - The owner was very helpful and considerate. He collected me from the station after some confusion over arrival time (my fault). The triple room was spacious although maybe not for 3 people. The room was clean on arrival although it was not cleaned at all in the week that I stayed. There was however clean bedding/ towels available for self service. No information was available reference breakfast but I found out on the last day that it could be taken at a nearby bar for a supplement. Its important to note that there are some 70 steps up to the building and then about 40 up to room. Not good if unfit or infirm.

A short walk from the station (Don't let your daughter guide you with her google map) We failed to follow instructions and call the owners before showing up. There is no on site reception. But the owners showed up within an hour after some confusion about which unit we were at.
