• Verified traveler (10/5): - Premetto che ho trascorso solo 1 notte in camera matrimoniale, personale impeccabile mi ha agevolato persino nel posteggiare l'auto vicino la nostra camera dato che la struttura lo permetteva, pulizia assoluta, riscaldamenti perfettamente funzionante da regolare sia manuale che in automatico, servizi con tutti i confort, anche se come ripeto si è trattato di trascorrere solo 1 notte.
• Jante (8/5): Relaxing Hotel - The hotel is situated in a rural location, although there are factories there to. We were very kindly given a room upgrade which was very nice as we stayed with them last year. The room was spacious, well equipped, very comfortable bed and included a kitchen which was very nice to have the use of. All staff were very friendly, helpful and we made as much effort to speak a little Italian, to which I am sure they appreciated. A good location to stay. Ten minutes to the local beach which was nice and a good location to explore other villages and cities, Florence and Siena. The hotel also has a gelateria and wine museum, which is also very interesting. We stayed for one week and there were times that we stayed around the hotel and felt that they needed to provide an outside leisure area to sit and relax in. A pool would also be a great added bonus. The breakfast area was a nice place to sit and the food was adequate and well presented. They have a restaurant, which we did not use as I felt it was not good value with a set price for anything you eat. I am a vegetarian and most dishes were for meat. The pizza restaurant was very good and we both enjoyed this very much. Over all we both enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

• Francesca (10/5): Un "borgo" da favola - Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte,sabato scorso,ma è bastata per apprezzare il posto e le persone che vi lavorano.Luogo incantevole,sembra quasi un piccolo borgo a parte,pulizia e decoro perfette,e personale squisito.Sia alla reception che al ristorante.C'è stato un problema con l'acqua in tutta la struttura che nel giro di poco è stato immediatamente risolto,sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dalla ragazza che ci ha accolto alla reception ma in generale da tutto il personale,anche dal manutentore che a notte fonda ci ha aspettato per rassicurarci sull'acqua.La ragazza del ristorante ci ha consigliato un vino ottimo,gentilissima anche la signora che era in sala colazioni domenica mattina.Dove ti giri ti giri trovi persone gentili e col sorriso sempre pronte a suggerimenti.Sabato abbiamo anche visitato il museo del vino e il sommelier ha aperto per noi una bottiglia,nonostante fossimo fuori tempo,ed è stato di una cortesia e gentilezza inaudita.Veramente tutto perfetto,non ho suggerimenti se non a chi ancora non c'è stato...provare per credere.Ah,anche la cena al ristorante è uno spettacolo,tutto superlativo.Come abbiamo detto domenica mattina al momento di partire,torneremo presto :D

• Weltenbummler262 (10/5): Wine Town Casone Ugolino , unique hot spot for wine lovers in Tuscany - In October we have been travelling with friends and wine experts in the famous area of Bolgheri,Tuscany visiting the most beautiful wine cellars in the area , and after that the highlight was, of course the new born Wine Town of Casone Ugolino in Castagneto Carducci. Arriving there, you would not expect such an exceptional place, but when you enter ..... you remain surprised, astonished and fascinated: here you find everything, you ever wanted to know about wine. Starting from the beautiful interior with all the wines of the territory in exhibition and for tasting, to the virtual tour through centuries guided by the most reknown expert of viticulture in Italy: Attilio Scienza. This museum avanguarde was the highlight of our tour through Tuscany and we hope many people will have this unique experience! It was very professional, revolutionary and entertaining. We will surely come back with more wine lovers
• 523caseyg (10/5): Amazing week in tuscany - Myself and girlfriend stayed at casone ugalino for a week in October and were blow away with how brilliant it was. Everything from the service at reception (which was 5 star) to the breakfast and room quality. The restaurant staff were always very attentive here, especially the young bloke although I can't remember his name. The room was lovely, a beautiful two floor apartment with amazing black out shutters for those early mornings. Also the best pizza anywhere I've been! Thanks you all so much!
• MAURO (6/5): Specchio per le allodole - Non fatevi fregare dalle foto su internet, mi aspettavo un posto incantevole immerso nella natura e mi ritrovo un casermone enorme sulla statale. Oltretutto con ristoranti interni sembra di essere in un villaggio tremendamente commerciale. La colazione di plastica orribile. Evitate se potete, hanno avuto da ridire anche xche ho chiesto il cambio degli asciugamani il giorno dopo rispondendo infastiditi che li cambiano ogni 3 giorni...

• Ronan (10/5): Uma grata surpresa - este hotel foi uma grata surpresa, pois escolhemos de última hora. Os atendentes todos foram muito solícitos e simpáticos. A comida é maravilhosa (o jantar é um buffet com tudo de bom da comida toscana, especialmente as fritatas, e um preço muito justo (26 euros por pessoa). O vinho é indicado pelo chef e tem um preço muito bom também. Visitamos o museu do vinho e depois passeamos pelos arredores. Recomendo Bolgheri! Parece um cenário de conto de fadas.

• MaximilianF (10/5): Beauty in the heart of Tuscany - I've been to Casone Ugolino twice in the last year, and have always been pleased with their service. I love the rustic and Tuscan feel to the apartments and restaurants, it makes you feel the warmth of this beautiful Italian region. The staff are kind and always helpful in giving tips on beaches or areas of interest, I can also recommend having an artisan beer and pizza from their restaurant. The B&B is only 25 minutes from San Vincenzo and Baratti where you can find one of the most beautiful and clear beaches in Tuscany. The beach has been awarded six blue flags since 2015, and there is also the famous dog beach for pet owners.
• wesz (10/5): A Hidden Treasure - This was a jackpot finding for us. We were a family with three kids accommodated in one big apartment and a single room. I just list here the bullet points, there is way too much good to be added: 1. Despite the fact that the hotel on Google maps looks as if it is disturbed by surrounding businesses, we never experienced anything from the businesses on the other side of the road 2. The hotel is not really a hotel and not really an apartment, it is the best mix of the two. They have all amenities a hotel would provide, in the meantime in bigger, multiple room family apartments you have a small kitchen, fridge, plates, cuttlery, whatever you need. The rooms are cleaned daily. The sleeping quality was 100%, great beds in great rooms. 3. The style of the hotel is fantastic, a real Tuscany style establishment, with air conditioning :). 4. There are three restaurants in this small hotel (they do not disturb the guests in the rooms at all, which was surprising, we thought it would) one is better than the other. If you are really hungry, go for the buffet dinner, the best selection of the Tuscany food. The pizza was also good. 5. And then there is the staff. Wonderful people, nice, helpful, friendly, I could write only the best about them. They are the real treasures and assets of the hotel. 6. Additionally all this, the hotel is a few minutes away from the beach and also from the village, so if you are with car, you will be fine. Please note that the hotel has a lot of agreements with other attractions and places, so you could get 10-25% discounts, ask the front desk. 7. The place is absolutely child friendly, a great place for families. 8. Do the wine museum, which they also have on the premises, it includes wine tasting and boy they are good :) 9. The only tiny little downside is the breakfast, they have a sweet shop too and that serves the breakfast, so way too many sugary croissants and very little ham & cheese. On the other hand if you like Nutella and good Italian cappuccino for breakfast you will be in heaven :) All in all this is a 5 star place thanks to its concept, staff and Tuscany. It is a pity that the hotel is not separated from the restaurant on Tripadvisor, the place is much better than its reviews.
• C M (6/5): Uncharmante Zimmer, Lage zweifelhaft - Ein Zimmer mit Null-Charme, ein Frühstücksblick auf eine Ford Garage. Castagneto Carducci ist oben am Berg, das Hotel 2 km unterhalb in der Ebene in einer Kreuzung, stark befahren im "Industriegebiet". Die Wände aller Zimmer erscheinen auf den ersten Blick "dreckig". Die Farbe sollte wohl im Landhausstil ausfallen. Keine Vorhänge, alles uncharmant, aber funktionstüchtig. Sehr sauber und das Personal, besonders die Putzfrauen, sind sehr kompetent und freundlich.
• Marcus (8/5): Nettes kleines Hotel mit Flair - Schönes kleines Hotel mit tollem Ambiente. Ein Weinmuseum, eine Gelateria sowie eine Pizzeria sind gleich mit angeschlossen. Das Frühstück ist lecker und völlig ausreichend. Man kann es auf der schönen Terrasse der Pizzeria einnehmen. Parkplatz wird gestellt.
• Samuele (10/5): Ottima esperienza - camere puitissime e spaziose con cucinotto, staff gentilissimo e disponibile, ottima colazione, gelato e pizza nella stessa struttura. A soli cnque minuti dal mare e Castagneto Carducci, consigliatissimo!
• Mauro (10/5): Buona anche la 2° - È gia la seconda volta che abbiamo pernottato al Casone, e ancora una volta il soggiorno si è rivelato piacevole per l'ospitalità offerta, la pulizia e la bellezza delle camere. Ottima anche la loro pizzeria, dove cenare in buona compagnia.

• colleen342 (10/5): Good Pizza - This ia a restaurant that I go to often, as I live here.Very nice old fashioned decor, kept beautifully. The staff are friendly and compitent, you can also eat outside in the summer.One part is just pizzeria and the other part meat and pasta dishes. The pizza there is very good, the best you can get here in the region.Well worth going to try out. They also rent rooms and apartments, but I dont know what they are like.
• leonardo (4/5): Finto albergo di campagna - Dalle foto in internet non si capisce affatto che l albergo si trova sulla strada e nella zona industriale di donoratico e non di castagneto Carducci! La campagna non la vedi quasi! Se l avessi capito non sarei andato! Sembra un motel, sa di finto. È probabilmente adatto a comitive di stranieri.
• Maurizio (10/5): Bella struttura a meta tra agriturismo e hotel - La struttura e completamente nuova e molto ben arredata il personale e gentile e premuroso e qualificato. Si ha la possibilità di mangiare anche nella struttura sia cucina che pizza a prezzi più che adeguati. Ogni giorno passano a pulire la stanza e rifare il letto la colazione inclusa e semplice ma di ottima qualità. Che dire proprio da consigliare.
• Peter (8/5): Good value hotel, with convinient location - On arrival we were received friendly and got pointed straight to our room. The AC was functional, but only by on/off via the fusebox. There is also a pizzeria in the hotel, which is simple but convenient. The reception table service was "Tuscan" so don't expect any miracles. In the morning the staff was very friendly though. And of course a simple but good breakfast (for Italian standards) was a pleasant surprise as well.
• dorthejessen (8/5): Great atmosphere - We stayed at this place for 4 nights, and had a really good experience. The rooms was clean and had a real italian look. Our room had a smal kitchen - perfect for breakfast. The hotel is placed in the middle of an industrial area, but by car you easily get to the beach, mountains etc.
