• leann (2/5): - Not very clean. Soad scum on the tule in the shower toilet leaked and was not bolted down. And fell forward when you sit down. No towels. The website said it was a queen and it was infact a full size pillows was flat. Couldnt understand the person at the counter at check in. THIS BY FAR THE WORST MOTEL IVE EVER SYAED AT.

• Larry (8/5): - Room was very clean. However, the toilet could use some maintenance done. The toilet is leakin on the side by the tub and when you sit down on the toilet, it 'falls' forward. Otherwise, everything was a pleasant experience.

This one is by far the worst - Bed bugs, brown recluse spiders, stained sheets and pillowcases, missing flooring, dirty microwave and fridge, dirt on walls/window/door trim, and a mold smell that is due to black mold in the A/C unit. Would not even reccomend to someone i didnt like due to the health risk alone. Not to mention after finding the room like i did, i had to argue with the manager/owner to get a refund after i refused the room. If i could leave a 0/10 i would

• Verified traveler (6/5): Very Average - This is an average hotel. The online price was worthwhile for what we got. The price at the desk would not have been something I would have been willing to pay, as the amenities and services rendered where very average.

Steps to the upper level were cracked xoncrete and looked like they were ready to fall down. Room was nasty. Dead bugs on floor, sheets were stained and what furniture there was looked like they had been used and abused for over 20 years. Water barely got hot enough to take a decent shower. Used room to get ready for event then did not return to spend the night as it felt unsafe. Rather spend 2 hours driving home than take a chance.
• Kelly (2/5): Avoid The Eastin Hotel in Atchison Kansas - I had a disgraceful stay at The Eastin Hotel of Atchison Kansas. They have very poor customer service , no maid, Parking lot and dishes pair no handicap rooms Very disrespectful customer service And rudeness to the guest. The rooms were in disrepair. And location is very unsafe. Not a great environment at thisthough I'd say avoid it at all costs.
• Adam (2/5): Don’t - Didn’t even bother staying. Room was disgusting, smelled like a wet dog. Cigarette burns on cover sheets, exposed plumbing, shower had mold around caulking, looked like a good place to catch a fungus
• Spenser (2/5): Disgusting-avoid at all cost - Dingy and what to expect accommodations-wise; only worse. The door didn’t shut on the outside on its own without being slammed multiple times. NO WI-FI There were multiple networks with the name of the hotel, including two that were designated guests, yet they wouldn’t give the password. Kept telling me to use some unsecured Wi-Fi network called cloudtraz that didn’t show up most of the time. The bathtub was clogged and the shower didn’t get hot. Disgusting bed sheets curtains, one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever seen made all the worse with nothing to do considering there was NO WI-FI.

I did not feel comfortable bathing or showering I left my shoes and some socks on the floor. When I put them on in the morning, I killed 2 or 3 bugs crawling on my socks. In rating them on the 5 pt scale I would give them a minus 2. Because of the schedule I had, it was the only option open to me. Fortunately I only stayed one night instead of 2.

• Todd (2/5): This is a MOTEL not a hotel. One star at most. - First off, I do not stay in MOTELS but this was listed as a HOTEL. That's just false advertising. Since my daughter and I arrived at 8pm after spending the day visiting Benedictine college campus all day, I really had little chance to find another options so we checked in. The place had a SMELL to it. The water came out brown I am assuming due to rust and the parking lot was loud. POSITIVE - I will say there were no bugs, the noise did stop about midnight, the A/C worked well. I was hoping to have found a place I can stay every time I visit my daughter at college but THIS IS NOT IT!

Otherwise you will notice old outdated stinky interior with burnt out duvet, suspiciously wrinkled bed sheets and dark brown towels which means avoiding visible stains... Grose
• P (4/5): - Booked last minute - but as said by others, you get what you pay for. Sheets had cigarette burns. Smelled of smoke even though our room was non smoking. Cleanliness, I’d give a 3/10 Shower had hot water :) 👍 Place needs repairs and a house cleaner, but overall did the job for us. We stayed last year and one guy tried to come in to our room to “clean” before we checked out. Luckily the bar was on the door lock, or he would have seen my gf naked. Felt a little creepy. Check in was easy this year, difficult last year. They keep the front area locked at night and you simply ring a doorbell for service. If you need a bed and a hot shower, this will work.

• Grace (2/5): - There were birds/mice in the walls that you could hear. Cigarette burns on the comforter of the bed, and a big burn hole on the side of the chair. The entire room also smelled really strongly of smoke and the room was not cleaned prior. We did not feel safe at all staying at this location so we quickly asked for a refund upon arrival and found another place to stay.

Brown blob stuck on the bathroom wall, black scuff marks all over, sticky substance on the bedside stand, hole in the bedspread with food stuck to it. You would be better off throwing a tent in a ditch and sleeping there. It’s probably cleaner!

Literally a brown blob on the wall in the bathroom, some kind of food stuck to the bedspread, something sticky all over the bed stand……. Horrible. You’re better off throwing a sleeping bag in a ditch, it’s probably cleaner.
• Margaret (6/5): - The owner over charged me when I checked in. It was only by $2 but still...he knew what he was doing. They never mop the floors. If you walk from the door to the bathroom it's a guarantee your socks will be black! Hotel is not badly priced through a third party sight but as a walk in you pay $20 more for a room that's never mopped!

I went to the front desk at multiple hours of the day in the night and morning in which the door was locked. the shower was broken in my room. I managed to tell a man and room service worker and they said it would be fixed in an hour. it did not get fixed for the whole stay. there was no water fountains or vending machines for beverages.
• tom (2/5): - Run down motel looks like temporary housing, absolute bare minimum. Photos are filtered. Towels are brown and 400 years old. Lighting is dim and in adequate. Electrical outlets look like a fire a hazard

There was obvious abandoned cars there and “other activities” going on. Not a safe place to stay. We left right away and went to another hotel.

The rooms are minimally furnished (no desk), the laminate floors are dirty, the sink stopper did not work, only one face cloth, no clock/alarm, light shining in from around the door which did not seal, no dark out curtains, ...
• Tom (4/5): - This motel is CHEAP. Everything about it is cheap. The Indian family who runs it is friendly enough and it has been remodeled but every corner that could be cut has been. The workmanship of the remodel looks like it was done by an unsupervised 4th grader. The paint is sloppy, the woodwork is made from plywood without any laminate. All the work is shoddy. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was marked as nonsmoking. And we found bedbugs in the sheets. This place is YUK-central.
• Heidi (2/5): - Very noisy with road traffic. The room door would stick when trying to open & close. The bathroom door would not close & latch at all. The room had a smell of mold/mildew. The floor in the bathroom & sink area was uneven & sloped to the corner. The room A/C did not work at all and room temp was well over 80 degrees. Hotel staff refused to cancel the reservation even with the A/C not working.

The room was definitely worn, though -- especially the bathroom. Nothing that made it unusable, but people who are particular about that sort of thing would be bothered by it. My biggest critique (and, admittedly, it's very much a first world problem) was that there's only one plug near the bed. Used that for my CPAP and had to plug in phone across the room. Again, may be a deal breaker for travelers who are accustomed to lavish rooms. Despite the issues I mentioned, I would stay there again.

The door to the outside was literally broken away from the wall and the inside lock broke off the door. The toilet rocked when anyone sat on it. There are zero amenities, no ice machine, no lobby, only Wi-Fi. The rooms are dirty and old. The sheets had stains on them and the rooms are falling apart. The stairs to the second floor are falling apart and unsafe. I would recommend this place to NO ONE!

A hole in theBathroom door had been taped and painted over and the ac units, which had big enough gaps around it you could see outaide, looked to be from the 60's. A fire pull station by the stairwell read in black marker "needs replaced". No phone, no information sheet in the room,, and appears no concern for customers

• Verified traveler (2/5): Do Not Stay Here! - My Wife and I booked a 2 night stay here because all the other places in Atchison were booked for the weekend. Bad Idea! The place was dirty. Sink had some smeared stuff in it. Towels were BROWN? Worst of all we got 2 hours sleep that night. 1:00 A.M. a car blasting music pulled in the parking lot. They were 10 feet from our door. Then at 3:00 A.M. they all started fighting. We feared for our safety. Next morning we were out of there. Paid for 2 nights, stayed one. No offer of a refund was offered. None was given. Manager did not speak English and came out at 10:30AM in sweats and no shirt on. I will never stay here again. Lesson learned. Hotels.com should not even let them post their rooms on here. If you have ever seen Live P.D. and the Blue Door Motel this place was worse.

• Sarah (2/5): Hot Room - When we arrived the air was not turned on in the room. It was 90 degrees outside and we were traveling with our dogs. There was no water pressure, the cleanliness of the room was ok. The outside of the hotel was not maintained, spider webs everywhere, be prepared to walk through them.

What was disappointing was no continental breakfast available as shown in a photo (I may have misinterpreted the pic). But plenty of options nearby to make up for it. One suggestions would be to put some slip resistant sticker on the bathtub s it was very slippery when showering. Overall, the accommodations suited my needs.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Definitely Haunted - First time I stayed here I watched my hair brush lift off the bed and fall back down and that was all that happened. The second time, I heard my late husband walk into the room and holler my name! Ghost Adventures needs to check it out! Really cool!!

• Lora (2/5): Gross and run down - Run down motel although they are trying to fix it up. Electronic key pad not working. Had to go down to the front desk 3 times to finally get into the room. Then it was disgusting and smelled bad. Bathroom had not been cleaned. Dried urine and hair all over the toilet which had not even been flushed from previous occupant! Would of left immediately but only motel vacancy in the town and about midnight. Requested a room change. Staff apologized and gave us another room. Better, clean, but still felt gross staying there.

Such as 2 people one bed one night . room didn't have a place to wipe your feet and the parking area was not bladed off had to walk thru snow. The stool would not flush . the bed spread was stained as well as the pillows and pillow cases. The sheet was wrinkled badly i suspect it was not changed. I don't recommend anyone stay there. I just hope either of us don't get sick.

You could easily tell they had not been washed or changed in a very long time. The rooms floor was gritty feeling and dirty and there were spiders and roaches crawling on the walls and ceiling. I didn’t even stay 10 minutes in that room and was denied a refund. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
