- Lisa (10/5): Absolute gem of a place. Perfect. - Absolutely delightful. The owner has curated pieces of furniture and fabrics which are absolutely beautiful and has a real eye for style and details. Little personal touches abound. It really feels like a home from home. The linen and towels are wonderful quality. Such a lovely change from chain hotels with basic linen and scratchy towels that set my teeth on edge. The owner Jeanette was welcoming immediately and without any fuss. The guide in the room was very helpful and made a change from the dreaded QR and app! The place is spotlessly clean. There is a cycle path (flat and tarmac) right at the back just beyond the garden; down which you can walk 10 mins or so to the shuttle bus which is free and regular… to Woods Hole from where you catch the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Absolute piece of cake. Try the cafe at Woods Hole for the most delicious pastries and coffee! When we returned from a long day Jeanette saw us and offered us tea which was really most welcome in the charming breakfast room. The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We could have had a cooked breakfast which I am sure would also have been good but we wanted light food as we were travelling. This is an absolute gem of a place. The beds were super comfy, and we slept well as it was very quiet. This place is easy walking distance to Falmouth with loads of great shops and restaurants. We will definitely return and would highly recommend. Absolutely nothing.

The property is absolutely stunning; charming, peaceful, and thoughtfully maintained with so many little details that make it special. Our room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast each morning was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and clearly made with so much care. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations for things to do nearby. If you’re looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway on the Cape, this is the perfect place. We can’t wait to come back!

I cannot thank Jeanette enough for all that she did to provide me with a sweet spot in the middle of work-related travel chaos. I have since recommended her home to others and plan to revisit as a leisure travel guest rather than a worker passing through. Her home far exceeds expectation from friendliness to food to furnishings. Nothing. My stay was chef’s kiss perfect.

Parking was easy and entry from the parking area was perfect for getting personal belongings to/from the house. The rooms with very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and stocked with upscale body soap and shampoo/conditioner. The location on was 8-15 minutes to just about anywhere you want to go in the Cape Cod area!

- Amy (10/5): Best, most relaxing, most comfortable brief stay ever - Jeannette is amazing, so solicitous, kind, professional; a perfect innkeeper. The facility is gorgeous, if I could take a week off and just stay in her inn, leave raucous society in the background, what a retreat it would be. Booking.com misled me to believe the room had streaming services, namely, "Netflix", and the rooms are listed as "soundproof" but you can hear the traffic from the main road right outside, however, I did not hear it while sleeping, only while awake and not obtrusively.

Couldn’t recommend it highly enough , the house is beautiful and our bedroom ( Garden ) was honestly the nicest room we have ever stayed in ( and we have been celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary! ) Thoughtfully decorated with original pieces of furniture, the most comfortable bed with gorgeous linen, a large bathroom with everything you need - even hair straighteners - and a quiet fridge! The welcome we had from Jeanette was lovely and we enjoyed chatting with her. She gave great suggestions for days out and provided a great breakfast with a choice of pastries bagels toast cereals yoghurt and fruit , a cooked option was available but we were more than happy with the buffet. There were some lovely touches such as the coffee station and all the autumn decorations whilst we were there. We stayed three nights and had the continental breakfast during our stay which was good. The room itself was comfortable and the shower the best we had during our 10 day road trip! If you have a lot of luggage you may find storage a problem in the room but we made it work and we accepted that this would be the case when we chose a traditional inn instead of a modern hotel. I’m sure Jeanette would have offered storage of cases if we needed it as she was very accommodating.

Host was lovely too, room ready early and the continental breakfast each morning was substantial. Bike track behind property. Great location for the ferries to Martha vineyard.

- patricia (9/5): Great accommodations and customer service in a beautiful home. - The owner, Jeanette was very accommodating by allowing us to check in a little early, bringing us wine and recommending a delicious restaurant, Landfall, which is next to the water. The room was crowded because it had too many pieces of large furniture and not enough outlets. It would help to add a shelf or a small stand in the bathroom so you have a place to put toiletries and a hook or two to hang towels.
- Nancy (10/5): - Cozy inn. Very comfortable bed. Bath is very nice wit double sinks and deep tub. Bedroom is very small but it has a small fridge and a sofa. Our bathroom not negative is that it’s hard to find even after being there a few days. The sign and driveway are tucked into foliage and the street traffic is moving along and you must come to a dead stop. Even so I would stay here again. The innkeeper was lovely and very helpful and accommodating!

It’s great that they have bikes available there and allow you to go for biking on the Shinning sea trail, and it would be beneficial if they do some maintenance for the bike and make sure that they are in a good shape. - Niamh (10/5): Cosy inn right on the Shining Sea bikeway -great base for your Cape Cod holiday - This was a great spot, run by absolute pro Jeanette. She was super patient with a card issue during booking, and when we got there the house was truly lovely, just the cosy inn we were looking for. Getting breakfast was great, and being able to have free tea and coffee whenever we liked in the room was brill - not too common in America ! The best thing by far was the gorgeous bicycles for going up and down the Shining Sea path which backs onto the property! The Inn is a good 25 minute walk from central Falmouth’s Main Street of cafes restaurants - so if you arrive without a car, do use the bikes!

- Romina (10/5): 10 out of 10 in service, location, ambiance! - Everything! Old house converted into a cozy bed and breakfast! Room was small but had everything we needed, newly renovated bathroom and enough closet space, with a little fridge and coffee machine. It has a balcony right beside the door with table and chairs to enjoy fresh air and have a coffee (another machine in the hallway!) The dining area was also super cute! We have a yummy breakfast (toast, muffins, cereals) with an option to upgrade (eggs and bacon) that we didn’t take. The outdoor space was quiet, and they lent us bikes (saved money as each would have cost us about U$30 at least) and the bike trail is few steps behind the house. We biked the most stunning 5 miles until Wood hole and then back, we even went to the public beach in our way back and stopped in Falmouth Center (it is a 5-10min ride passing the house) for coffee and shop. Amazing location, gorgeous house and service was impeccable too!

The inn itself is quaint and peaceful, with beautifully decorated rooms, all of which are meticulously maintained. The location is perfect: only a few miles from lovely restaurants and convenient ferry service to the islands. Our dinners at Glass Onion and Landfall were excellent. Highly recommend the Frederick Williams Inn and Falmouth overall!

- Jennifer (9/5): Charming, amazing service, well appointed rooms, beautiful experience overall. - This place is so charming and beautiful. We stayed here on our wedding night. They asked ahead of time if we had any special requests and we initially suggested flowers, but decided not to because, well, flowers are expensive and we'd already spent a lot on our wedding. When we arrived the owner showed us to our rooms then came back with an ENORMOUS and beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas she'd picked from the garden outside. I was very touched and it made our night seem extra special. We had breakfast in the cafe the next morning and it was not only a beautiful spread, but there were a good number of options (hard boiled eggs, fruit, etc. Not just carbs). They had the option for a hot breakfast at an extra charge but the free one was so lovely we didn't feel the need. The little cafe was also very charming and we really enjoyed sitting and enjoying our breakfast in there. We waited a little while before leaving because we wanted to buy a small item from the gift shop and the owner was helping someone else. She saw us and instead of having us wait longer said to just accept it as a wedding gift. I can tell she really cares about hospitality. Highly recommend! The place is relatively quiet overall, but we definitely heard conversations in the room next door and outside in the hallway, so I can't say the room was actually soundproof (booking.com claimed it was). That said, I didn't prevent us from enjoying our night and I'd absolutely stay there again.

My critique woud be the outdoor seating area could of been cleaned better.. table and chairs were dirty, spider webs and bird poo on all of them. I also do not think it should be advertised as breakfast included as you do have to pay extra for the continental breakfast- and the breakfast that is included is pastries. aside from that we would consider returning here.

Everything was close including transportation to the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod winery, and other restaurants and shops. Very beautiful bed and breakfast and we will definitely return!!

- Jacqueline (5/5): Good location, but can’t recommend. - It’s on a main road and close to several places. The owner was nice and took her time showing us around. The exterior of the bldg and front lawn haven’t been kept up and the sign is barely recognizable. We drove past it and had to find it 2nd time around. The photo must be from a while ago. The breakfast buffet was laid out in the morning, but there was no one around to request the full bkft from, so we had cereal and toast. When we finished, a staff person finally showed up, but we had to leave for the day. Also, we stayed in the black room with king bed, and the shower, although it was unique in set up, was difficult to use. The water came out of the tub spout as well as the showerhead, and it was hard to keep legs and feet away from the spout, where the water coming from there was quite hot, and the tub didn’t drain properly.

Located beside a bike path for walking or biking the house has bikes available for use and the rooms were just right! A continental breakfast is available as well as a breakfast upgrade. Coffee makers are available in room. Highly recommend.

It was spotless and the bathroom was large for an en suite, with a fab shower. The parking area was large and the use of bikes was great. We used them several times and the cycle path route was so picturesque. Great spot close to Falmouth town and the shuttle buses to the islands ferry terminal. Nothing.

- John (10/5): - The place was amazingly beautiful, very clean, they were very organized, we arrived late and they left a note in the front desk with information, that was good. The only thing we would it want to know in anticipation is about the “free breakfast” because it was only “Fruits, some pastry, juice, water and coffee”, it you wanted to have eggs or anything else you had to pay $20 the plate, so technically it wasn’t fully free. Other than that the place is amazing and I highly recommend it.

- biggsde (10/5): Enjoyed a great stay at Frederick William House - I just spent a wonderful five days in Falmouth staying at the Frederick William House. This is a extremely nice B & B close to the bikeway which was great for those who want to walk. Our king room on the first floor had a loveseat, small refrigerator, Keurig, and a two bowl sink in the bathroom. It was very comfortable and easy to access. I brought my dog who loved the bikeway, the Goodwin Park across the street, and the Falmouth Dog Park which was a short distance away. Jeannette, the owner was friendly and so helpful. The continental breakfast was a good mix of muffins, bagels, fruit, and beverages. The gift shop had beautiful sweatshirts, tee shirts, and other items. The location was ideal - close to the center of town but far enough away to miss the noise and traffic. It is right on Rte 28 with a reasonably priced restaurant just across from the B&B. Staying there was a delightful experience. I look forward to staying at Frederick William House again.
