The room with private bathroom was very comfortable. Both mornings the breakfast was wonderful. Special mention of the great coffee they serve. I highly recommend the Stone Haus B&B.

The house was beautifully restored, ample parking, wifi, a pristine hot tub and a gorgeous porch for soaking up the wildlife. The delicious breakfast spread included french custard toast, sausage and fresh fruits. Larry and Linda were fantastic, they show you around the house, tell you a bit about Hermann and give you space to come and go as you please. Will definitely stay here again. Comfortable bed, quiet setting and the hot tub is a nice treat after walking through town and vineyards. 10 out of 10, good job!

• Athena53 (10/5): Our New Favorite Place in Hermann! - My friend and I had been staying elsewhere on our annual trips to Hermann but it was time for a change. As usual, TripAdvisor reviews were a reliable source of information in finding a new B&B. Larry and Linda were great hosts- good knowledge of the surrounding area, available for a pleasant conversation, helpful when help was needed. Breakfasts were delicious although if you're a light eater you may want to ask for half-portions, which we plan to do on our next visit. Offerings over 3 mornings included fresh fruit, a sausage casserole, French toast with custard filling, scrambled eggs, local sausage and biscuits with a nice low-sugar jam. The location is QUIET- a beautiful natural setting with a wide variety of plantings and two outdoor porches. It's on top of a hill, far enough away from town that there's no noise and little traffic. It's 3 miles to the Katy Trail head. There are two very comfortable lounge/living rooms, one where coffee is available starting at 7 AM. There's also a TV. Our room was large and comfortable- the Blue Room upstairs. It had a King size bed, TV, a microwave and a fridge (with complimentary soft drinks and a nice bottle of local wine). Wi-Fi was weak- it worked but I wouldn't recommend it for on-line gaming! This seems to be an issue all over Hermann- I had lots of dead spots on my cell phone, too. There are rooms on the main floor if climbing stairs is an issue. If you're bringing a bike they have a garage where it can be locked. On the way out, I jokingly told them they needed to do something about that hill leading to town- it's so steep I even walked my bike DOWN it! They said they'd work on that. :-) We already have reservations to return next year.

The bathroom was great and the towels are fantastic! After a day around town, there are many seating areas to relax and sit outside and enjoy the evening. The breakfast...WOW! The only thing we had problems with is the Wi-Fi did not extend to the upstairs bedrooms so our iPads were not useful. Perhaps adding a mesh Wi-Fi that extends the signal to the upstairs would fix this. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. The property isnt really walkable to downtown activities, but the local trolley will pick you up and drop you off.
• charlesonmission (10/5): This place is awesome! Best owners ever! - Wow, we just loved this place. My friend and I were biking the Katy Trail and we stayed here two nights. The owners are just super wonderful and very helpful with anything you need to know about Hermann. Breakfast was really awesome. Coming off the Katy Trail, they have a place to store bikes. There is also a hot tub which was super nice to help our bodies. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to stay in Hermann. My advice is to stay at least 2 nights since Hermann has a lot to offer. If we had more time, we would have stayed 3 nights instead of 2.

We brought a group of friends and family down for a bachelorette/bachelor party and we were so pleasantly surprised by everything That Stone Haus has to offer. From the house, the amenities, the hospitality and the above & beyond service they provide, you feel like you’re part of the family there. The kindest owners you’ll ever meet, Larry and Linda are absolutely wonderful, kindhearted people. We also enjoyed an absolutely delicious and hearty complimentary breakfast of French toast, bacon, fruit, and a variety of beverages. Why would you ever want to stay at a hotel?! We cannot wait to return again and will be sure to spread the word about this wonderful place.

I honestly felt like the owners just opened the doors and let their home become ours. The breakfasts were fabulous, the house is incredibly charming, and the owners could not have been more welcoming. This was our first B&B experience in Hermann, however, we will certainly come back to the Stone Haus next time. The price for the services was more than reasonable. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Linda & Larry were amazing hosts. Wonderful garden areas throughout to wind down at night and drink wine or have coffee on the porch in the morning. Delicious breakfast as well. We will definitely be back.

• 462casg (2/5): Watch out for double billing - This place has double charged us and tried a third charge. I've tried contacting them through email and gotten no response. Billed my charged card when I booked, Tried charging again a week out when they got manifest from travelocity. And I paid them again unknowingly upon check in not realizing they had ran it through three months before stay. Going to call tomorrow and try to get the overcharge back.
• raycU3221ZG (10/5): Comfort of home plus - The owners are very friendly and have been operating the b&b for many years. The room had modern amenities with an old-world charm. The quiche, fresh fruit and stollen we had for breakfast were inviting and delicious. Coffee is available starting at 7 am and was very good. Hot water for other beverages was also available. Onsite, well- lighted parking is a plus. I would highly recommend and will be back again.
• 52mistyf (10/5): Absolutely Perfect! - My mother and I take a trip together every year and this year we picked Hermann and chose the Stone Haus B&B for 3 nights. We chose well!!! Larry and Linda are exceptional people! Their kindness and hospitality are 2nd to none. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, I think I gained a few pounds from it! The B&B itself was beautiful and so comfortable. We always felt right at home. The screened in porch was so relaxing, we enjoyed a bottle of wine (that Linda had for us in our room!) out there. It was a perfect evening. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay - look no further!

Their home is full of character and the rooms are spacious. Breakfasts were delicious, we could hardly finish our huge meals each morning. They are both knowledgeable about the community and gave us great recommendations. We can't wait to come back.

We arrived by Amtrack and Larry greeted us at the station and gave us a quick tour around town before taking us to the B&B. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The trolley van picked us up to zip us down to the shops and restaurants. Larry and Linda had coffee ready for us and a fabulous breakfast. We could not have nicer hosts! This is the place to stay in Hermann. Hilltop views and space away from the shops when we wanted time to talk. We will be back!

Larry and Linda were kind and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing. The room was cute, clean, and had every amenity we could have wanted.
• Bosslady56 (10/5): Beautiful home with wonderful hosts! - It was my task to find accommodations for a group of seven women for one night in Hermann. I went through the list of B&Bs and called Stone Haus. I think at one time or another I spoke with both Linda and Larry to find them both very hospitable and kind. We were able to get the entire house (4 bedrooms - each with their own bath) for a one night stay. The house was absolutely amazing. Very clean, lovely decor and plenty of room for our group. They even gave us a small discount for renting the entire house. We received a tour of the home and then we each chose our rooms. Each room was decorated nicely and very clean. Lots of pillows and as many blankets and/or quilts that you could need. In the morning we were treated to a lovely breakfast. I'm certain we will be returning to Stone Haus - this may be an annual event for us.

The location is beautiful and only a few minutes away from town and wineries! We especially enjoyed the hot tub and breakfast!

As the day grew longer we were recommended this place from someone at Stone Hill winery. It is so peaceful and pleasant . The owners were very laid back and made everything awesome. This is our escape zone which I would never take our teenagers because this is mom and dad's private escape!

Many of the other hotels/b&bs had a two-night minimum stay on wine trail weekends, so I appreciated the flexibility since we weren’t able to stay two nights in Hermann. We were very glad to see a full breakfast on Sunday morning after spending all day Saturday sampling local wines. I would definitely recommend this b&b to family and friends, and I look forward to coming back again!

Linda and Larry are a great team and show the utmost hospitality to their guests and made me fee at home right away. It is difficult to describe how lovely the old stone house is decorated and has plenty of places to relax.. There are two sitting rooms, t.v, movies, books and a very nice front porch. The hot tub is sitting ready to be used by an outdoor covered patio. If you haven't been impressed after sleeping in your lovely room, just wait until you are served breakfast. The couple share the kitchen and fill the house with wonderful smells that lure you into the dining room. The family style breakfast is not only healthy and filling, but is truly delicious, I can't imagine that there would be any nicer place to stay in the area. Thank you Larry and Linda for taking such good care of us.
