- Emmily (9/5): A relaxing and memorable stay with wonderful service and a great island atmosphere. - The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and perfectly located few steps away to the beach and restaurants. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with recommendations and anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere felt peaceful and relaxing. The WiFi could be a little unstable at times, especially during the evening, but it did not affect our overall experience too much.

So pay on Expedia before if you can because they don’t seem to know how to work their machines.

Our rooms on the third floor overlooked street below and had great view of the ocean. There is a nice common patio on the second floor. Made-to-order breakfast was included. In center of town, near all tour meeting spots, restaurants etc. Good value.

- Elizabeth (8/5): Close to the beach - Hotel Volcano is in a great location close to shopping, food, and the beach. We had a lovely stay here and the included breakfast was great. We had some difficulty booking from outside the country though. Even through I booked through hotels.com, they made me call and pay with my card by phone which I didn’t feel comfortable with. In the end everything worked out but I booked through hotels.com to avoid putting my card info out there.

- Marcus (10/5): Perfect place for beach and excursions - Hotel is located in the second row of the beach. There is party at the beach (Pink Iguana Bar) on Fridays and Saturdays. I heard guests with rooms facing the beach complaining about noise during weekend nights. My room was facing the back country. With my windows closed I did not hear anything during weekend nights.

- Ingrid (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Volcano. The hotel was very cozy, located in the center of Puerto Villamil. We arrived in the morning before the official check in. David welcomed us with a nice fruity drink and our room was ready within 10 minutes. He was very accommodating and helpful. Isabela is a beautiful island, don't miss it on your way to the Galapagos

- kathleen (10/5): Very comfortable hotel with wonderful beach view - This is a very nice hotel which is conveniently located to restaurants and shops as while as the beach. The air conditioning was a plus for very hot days, but the windows and beach views were wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Free breakfast included everyday, they even packed a to-go breakfast on our last day as we left before breakfast started. Good location within walking distance to everything.

Less impressed by the boy at reception the day after, who scolded us for using their cold towels to freshen up. Room well appointed but noisy from the cooling units outside our window. - Robert (8/5): Nice Hotel - This hotel was the best hotel I stayed at on my whole trip. Everything was great except no wifi on my floor. When I arrived, I was told there was only wifi on the first and second floor. My room was on the third floor. The wifi in the hotel is really bad although after talking to others, wifi is just bad on the islands. The staff were very friendly and the view from my room was great (pic below). The breakfast was good and the staff was concerned that I would miss breakfast on my last day so they packed a breakfast for me to go and had it waiting for me when I left at 5 AM. The location was great too.

- Mayra (10/5): Beautiful! - Hotel Volcano is a beautiful property in Isabela. The hotel is located just outside of the main road, with a beach about 1/16 mile away. The staff is lovely, especially the kitchen staff. Very friendly and service oriented. The rooms are bright and airy. I would love to go back.

Hotel is directly across the street from the beach and a beach bar. Within walking distance of all the restaurants and shops. Can rent bikes to explore the island which us just a block away. A must stay!

The next morning breakfast was arranged so we could have something to eat before the early morning tour. Fantastic shower and bed too. Easy to find, keep on walking from the boat and you'll find it on your right.
