Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): - It's uniquely beautiful rustic charm. The library of books. The location
- Victoria (10/5): A wonderful place where you feel a world away from the stresses of city life without having to give up on home comforts! - It’s quirkiness - a wonderful mixture of rustic meets chic and modern. The perfect mix. Perfect to feel that you are in the country, not in some ‘box’ that could be anywhere. Lea was the perfect host. Friendly, nothing too much trouble. I can’t think of anything!
- Karen (9/5): - Location - family friendly. Amazing staff
- David (10/5): Great location with a wonderful, welcoming host. - Excellent location, very close to town and easy to find. Beautiful old homestead and excellent cottages on the banks of Charley's Creek. Private shower and bathtub on the creek-side deck! Can't think of anything.
- Musarrat (10/5): I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chinchilla. - I had a great experience at The Laurels of Chinchilla, and a big part of that was the manager Lea . She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring from the moment I arrived. She made me feel at home straight away.
Everything ran smoothly. The place was well organised and clearly well looked after. You can see she takes pride in maintaining high standards across the property.
Her attention to detail and willingness to help stood out. Nothing felt like a hassle for her. See above

Dotted about vibrant, sheltered, sun filtered gardens nestle a number of charming buildings, each with its own personality and quirks.
Host of The Laurels, Lee is charming, generous and professional, ensuring her guests gain the optimal experience in their sojourns on the property that she is quite clearly proud of.

My two small kids 2 and 5 loved every second of exploring the grounds and didn't even want to go to the park.
The host went above and beyond and we loved the extra bits added throughout the place was great. Such as farm fresh eggs from the grounds for brekky. Camp fire ready to be lit etc etc.

It was so lovely having a private fireplace on the deck overlooking the creek. The bed was so comfortable & the staff were friendly. There was no hot water in the hand basin or the outdoor bath which was a shame. Though it may have to be heated from the outdoor stove and my stay wasn’t long enough to enjoy that. I was there in winter it was can’t imagine it would matter too much in summer.

- Kylie (9/5): Such a beautiful place to stay, would definitely come - The property is gorgeous and bedding was perfect. Possibly not the fault of owner but there was a fly or spider in the kettle and I went to rinse it out to have a tea late that night and discovered it was also covered in ants. So didn’t end up having my tea. We had rain so not sure what brought the ants. And not sure if jug had been checked. No cold water in fridge. And WI-FI did not work in our cabin only outside of the cabin.

We will most certainly be returning.

Charlie’s creek walking track is right there which takes you into town under the bridge. The accommodation consists of beautiful decor throughout using recycled timber and bits and bobs giving a lovely country style rustic look. Accomodation was very comfortable and the room was larger than I expected from the photos.
