• Tosha (6/5): Good, but beware of the owner’s kids - Location, cleanliness, and professionalism of the staff. We had a room close to where I was informed the owner and his kids were staying. The entire stay the kids were very loud and disruptive. The first morning was especially bad because the kids were slamming doors, running and screaming nonstop. I called to front desk and they informed me this has been an ongoing issue for the entire two months the owner and kids were staying there. They sent someone to stop them, but because I could hear it so easily through the walls, we found out there were no adults present in the room the entire time this was occurring. Not the hotel’s fault, the team really did their best to handle the situation. It occurred every night and morning the 3 nights and 4 days we stayed. No change. They were loud till the day we checked out.

• Jacqueline (8/5): - Zimmer geschmackvoll und sehr sauber. Im EG super frisch gerösteter Kaffee Am Tag unsere Abreise wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt, dass Midtown, also auch der Hotelzugang für den Verkehr wegen einer grossen Parade gesperrt ist. Wir hatten große Probleme den Flug zu erreichen.

Le coffee shop de l’hôtel propo - Emplacement très central pour visiter nord et sud de Manhattan Tout était ok malgré que l’hôtel soit dans un emplacement bruyant mais c’est le cas de tous les hôtels de midtown

Accogliente e pulito, lo staff molto gentile, ottimo il bar interno dove si può fare un'ottima colazione. Stanza silenziosa, anche se un pò buia. La stanza un pò piccola, poco spazio per i bagagli, questo crea un pò di disagio.

• Minna (6/5): - Bra läge nära till tåg och connections! 30 minuter att gå till SoHo. Lugnare kvarter på helgerna trots centrala läget och mer busy på veckodagarna. Gym i byggnaden bredvid med access 24/7. Cafe med smalt utbud av mat i lobbyn, så det var lite besvikelse, dessutom begränsat med sittplatser så vi fick ta takeaway - men gott kaffe! Min toalett var trasig och istället för att få byta rum så behövde jag varje gång jag skulle spola göra ett visst knyck och vänta tills att vattnet fylldes upp genom att hålla i handtaget 20 sekunder. Man kan ju tycka att jag borde blivit erbjuden ett nytt rum...men jag fick istället bara acceptera toalett-situationen.

• Polina Luna (10/5): Midtown haven - The location is super convenient. A literal step away from the 6, but also within really acceptable walking distance to everything. And with all that, you are kind of staying in the "quieter" part of Midtown, if there's such a thing? So if you are still trying to get in a quality sleep at night, it seems quite plausible. Beautiful hotel, very courteous staff, the cafe on-site is a big plus. No complaints!

• Molly (10/5): - Great location, subways nearby and also walkable to quite a few landmarks. Staff lovely and we were able to check in to our room straight away. Room and bathroom were a really good size for the city, and surprisingly quiet. Would stay again! Didn’t have coffee/tea facilities in the room - but there was a nice cafe to buy coffees in the foyer.
• rdimont (8/5): Great location, comfortable stay - Location was very central and both a short enough walk from Penn Station and had local subway access close by. Bed was really comfortable and the water pressure good in the bathroom. Coffee shop on the ground floor was useful for a quick coffee before walking to my NY office. I was in room 202 which is right on the street - if you aren't good with street noise then ask for a higher room and in the back. I was ok, but it was something that was very noticeable to me at times. Also there was an error on a maintenance request and staff tried to enter my room - I know it was an error, but it bothered me as a solo traveller.

• Chrysanthy Emily (10/5): - The hotel was so close to so many things. A 2 minute walk to the subway, Starbucks and the hotel cafe served amazing coffee. Isaiah at front desk was so helpful and friendly. From even before arriving and answering questions via email, to greeting us at front desk on arrival he was always helpful and always ready to help! I will definitely be staying at HGU hotel on my next visit.

O quarto era mínimo e o colchão muito mau. A Televisão ficava ao lado da cama, logo não era possível estar deitado e ver TV. Não havia qualquer água, café ou chá no quarto, algo estranho num hotel que faz parte da cadeia SLH. O duche era péssimo e era difícil ter água quente

There was nowhere to unpack your suitcase, we had to live out of the suitcase. We had it open on the floor during the day, it had to close it at night in order to get to the bed. Nowhere to plug in hairdryer unless you grovelled on the floor. Great location

As the saying goes, New York never sleeps so traffic noise did wake us up but we were expecting this as we wanted to be in the heart of NY.

• Svea (9/5): - Die Lage war wirklich sehr gut und vor allem die Subway direkt vor der Tür war sehr praktisch. Das Personal war immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend und hat sich mit allem größte Mühe gegeben. Das Zimmer war klein aber fein und vor allem sauber. Eigentlich gibt es nichts zu bemängeln, die Zimmer sind zwar klein, aber ich glaube das ist für die Verhältnisse in New York normal. Etwas schade war es, dass das Fenster direkt auf eine Steinmauer gerichtet war und wenig Licht vorhanden war, aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau.

• GERARD (9/5): Super séjour dans une hôtel au rapport qualité prix incroyable à New York avec un emplacement idéal. - Etablissement idéal avec un emplacement parfait. Petite chambre, la vue sur la cours intérieur est sombre mais c'est très calme (les chambres coté rue sont probablement plus bruyantes) Le confort est très bien, la qualité du lit excellente. Le service journalier de la chambre est parfait. On a passé un excellent séjour dans un hôtel très sérieux, propre, très sécurisé, et avec un rapport qualité prix imbattable à New York vu la qualité et l'emplacement (une bouche de métro à 100 mètres, l'Empire State building est proche, la gare Penn Station est à 500 m,...) Et dans l'hôtel il y a un café accessible aux non résidents qui excellent, les petits-déjeuner sont très bons avec des prix très abordables, un plus ! Pour dire quelque chose, la vue sombre sur la cour intérieur de la chambre, mais pour nous ce n'était pas un problème.

The bed was comfortable but the room lacked storage space and a place to put my case. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Line 6 is just by the corner of the block and bus station easily accesible. 15 minute walk to Penn Station aka Madison Square Garden. No free water in the room. Water dispenser available in the lobby

There's no type of noise insulation from outside so you hear all the sirens and construction. Idk if that's just standard in America, I would have expected some double or triple glazing to stop that.

• Travelerguy952 (4/5): Not a "Luxury" hotel. - I stayed there for a short work trip. The location is good, but there is no way this is a "luxury" hotel. The "Deluxe King" room was tiny-- only room for the bed, basically-- and the services are limited. I realize that NYC rooms tend to be smaller, but this was striking. It was clean and the noise level was fine (which tends to be true of rooms with only one small window overlooking an air shaft). They also messed up my billing and did not send a receipt. I've stayed at a lot of Hilton properties, and this was one of the most disappointing.

• Samuel (7/5): Having said all of the above, we would stay there again because of the convenience and because it is - Location, friendly and helpful staff, valet parking a major plus Bed was not a Queen as the reservation represented; no chairs in the rooms; microwave in room or anywhere else; bathroom gets cold with the door closed as there are no heating vents in there; coffee shop on first floor is great and the staff helpful and friendly but the shop door opens directly on to the street (no vestibule) and we were there on the coldest weekend in recent history...whole downstairs lobby was subject to frequent bursts of cold air
