The beds were divine. The in room hot spring was transcendental. All staff members were very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend!!!

- Jungmin (10/5): Einfach toll - Ich war mit meiner Mutter dort und es war einfach wundervoll. Alles war hervorragend – von der herzlichen Atmosphäre bis hin zur wunderschönen Umgebung. Wer auf der Suche nach Ruhe, Natur und Erholung ist, findet hier den perfekten Ort auf Jeju. Besonders für Menschen, die eine stille Auszeit vom Alltag brauchen, ist es absolut empfehlenswert. Für mich war es auch eine ganz besondere Zeit mit meiner Mutter – ruhig, wertvoll und voller schöner Erinnerungen. Die künstlerische Seite des Hotels hat mich ebenfalls sehr beeindruckt: Die Architektur ist außergewöhnlich und die Bilder im ganzen Haus wirken wie in einer Galerie. Und das Frühstück ist unglaublich lecker. Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt in jeder Hinsicht! 포도호텔 직원분들께서 읽으실지도 몰라 독일로 돌아와 기차안에서 짧게 몇 자 더 남겨봅니다. 엄마와의 첫 여행을 엄마와 저에게 잊지 못할 추억으로 남길 수 있도록 만들어주셔서 정말 감사합니다. 오래 해외살이를 하는지라 도통 가족과 시간을 보낼 시간이 부족했는데 친절한 직원분들과 멋진 포도호텔 덕분에 심적으로 조금은 힘든 시간을 보내던 엄마에게 정말로 큰 힘이 되었어요. 다음에는 꼭 온 가족과 함께 다시 방문할게요. 건강과 행복을 빕니다 그리고 다시 한 번 감사드립니다.

- Yunhee (10/5): 힐링과편안한제주 - 조용하고 편안하고 룸에서 바라보는 조망모두 훌륭했어요. 호텔이 지어진지 이십년이 넘다 보니 룸안은 약간 낡은 느낌도 있지만 그래도 클래식하고 자연과 어우러진 느낌이었습니다. 무엇보다 화장실에서 온천을 할수 있는데 한라산 다녀온후라 하루의 피로를 풀수 있는 완벽한 하루를 보냈습니다.

The only problems I had were the bar menu ( only wine, sake, and soju ) and my room's sliding doors' condition; I couldn't completely close the sliding door to the garden because the left side door was a little forward toward the interior side and it doesn't align with the right side door.

Only one minus: the restaurant on-site could be a little bit more tasty, especially since there is only that option and the coffee nicer. However, the welcome package in the room is lovely, the staff very welcoming. Would definitely come back.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - My husband and I found Jeju so oppressive and crowded that we were extremely grateful to be able to escape to the peace and tranquility of the Podo Hotel. The architecture and the surrounding nature were breathtaking! The staff was very good if somewhat reserved. We ate our dinners at the restaurant and we found the food superb! I would say the star of our trip to Jeju was Podo, not the island.

- GIYEON (8/5): 포도호텔 전반적의 아쉬운 후기 - 단층 호텔이라는 이색이 가장 큰 메리트입니다. 객실마다 뷰가 너무 좋지만, 시설이 별로 없다는 단점이 있고, 조식의 경우 단품으로 제공하여 조금 아쉬움이 남습니다. 서비스는 사람이 조금 적은 편이고 사소한 것들이 5성급 호텔이라는것에 비해 많이 부족합니다. 작은 것들이지만, 추가 어메니티 물을 제공하지 않는다거나, 조식에서 커피 대체시 추가 요금을 받는 것 등이 쌓여 서비스는 많이 아쉽습니다.

- YOUNGJIN (10/5): - 처음 만나는 입장에서 허름한 건물에 누구도 반기지않는 모습처럼 보였지만 들어가니 반기는 직원들의 모습에 금새 환해지고 안내해주는 직원의 발걸음에 저절로 기운이 나고 들어서자마자 거대한 방의크기와 넓직한 침대 2개나 나란히 정겹스럽게 맞아주고 여행의 피로를 풀어줄 욕조에 들어가니 뿌옇치만 온몸의 세포를 하나하나 보살펴주는 온천수에 기분이 절로 좋아집니다. 이타미준의 건축 설명으로 또다른 발견으로 제주의 중정과 한국의미와 재일동포의 애환을 보여준 역작이라는 설명에 고개가 절로 숙여집니다.

- Verified traveler (8/5): 휴양에는 매우 적합 - private한 객실에서 조용하게 쉬기에는 좋습니다. 객실수가 적은 편이라서 다른 사람들 만날 가능성도 낮구요. 조식도 매우 훌륭합니다. 다만, 부대 시설은 골프를 치지 않는 이상 메리트가 부족하긴 하네요. 산책 코스가 사실상 전부입니다. 옆 객실을 위해서 베란다 밖으로는 나갈 수 없습니다. 그 외의 직원분들 서비스 등은 매우 훌륭합니다.

- JungEun (10/5): 혼자서도 오고싶은 호텔♡ - 부모님 모시고 갔는데 정말 창으로 보이는 풍경이 다했어요👍 요금에 조식과 미니바까지 포함인거 생각해보면 비싼 것도 아닌 것 같구요, 온천수 따로 나오는 것도 너무 좋았어요 :) 조식도 훌륭했고, 룸서비스로 먹은 보말우동 맛있었습니다. 담백하고 적막한 분위기에 행복한 시간 보내고 왔어요. 주변에 새소리, 나무, 풀숲 다 너무 좋았어요. 재방문 의사 1000% 입니다! :) 나중에 조용히 혼자 다시 오고싶어요~

- alvins564 (6/5): Great hardware let down by the software - PODO hotel is located on the PINX golf course west of Hallasan. The location is rather remote but beautiful. We were wowed by the hotel's architecture and its surroundings. We stayed in 3 western styled rooms overlooking a beautiful garden. These rooms had access to an outdoor area where you could enjoy a drink. The rooms were large and well-appointed with free minibar and snacks. There is piped-in hot spring water guests can enjoy in the privacy of their own tub. As we have chosen the Western-styled room, it room came with a 150 cm regular acrylic type bathtub. For those who enjoy onsen-styled baths, the Korean rooms may suit you better as they come with a Hinoki bathtub. Even though the hotel has great hardware, it was severely let down by the software. Service was quite poor, especially at the restaurant. The staff was seen to serve Korean guests ahead of us despite us being there first. They were also very curt and often slammed the items on the table. On one of the days, they could not cope with the breakfast service - we had to wait for about 30 minutes while they clean up the tables which have been vacated for a while. Whilst one could excuse their sub-par service at breakfast to insufficient staffing and reluctance to communicate in English, one cannot excuse the housekeeping. The housekeeper left the balcony door open presumably while doing the turndown service. This resulted in the room being extremely cold when we returned after a day out. The balcony area also leads to the outdoor common area. This means that the room was essentially left unlocked for the duration that the door was opened. In addition, the mats usually placed by the bedside were strewn over the lampshades. One can only surmise that the housekeeper left the room absentmindedly. Luckily for us, nothing was lost, but this still constituted a severe security breach, that is unacceptable for any hotel. Overall, I would suggest international guests to rethink this property primarily due to poor service. They seem to cater only to the local Korean market and are ill-equipped to receive international guests.

- Verified traveler (4/5): 50만원씩 주고 갈만한 호텔인가 - 인기가 좋다고해서 가봤는데 상당히 별로입니다. 상당히 일찍 예약했음에도 가장 구석진 방으로 배정해주더군요. 뷰는 없다고 보면 될듯하고... 서비스라고 해봤자 별로 받을만한것도 없습니다. 청결상태는 정말 최고더군요... 양실과 한실중 임의로 한실로 배정을 해주던데 바닥은 장판이 일어나고, 애기가 먹다 흘린게 있어 물티슈로 닦았는데 욕이 나오더군요. 여기저기 문질러 봤는데 물티슈가 새까맣게 됩니다. 장판이 올드한 디자인이라 원래 그런가 싶어서 문질렀더니 얼룩이라 지워지더군요. 그걸 본 뒤로는 양말 신고 있었습니다. 주위 경관도 못보게 앞쪽 길은 차단해서 가볼 수 도 없습니다. 식당도 한개뿐이라 예약을 못하면 제대로 먹기 힘들고 산중턱이라 주변에도 먹을만한 곳이 없습니다. 편의 시설도 없습니다. 그냥 잠만 자면되는 곳입니다. 그렇다고 그리 조용하지도 않습니다. 산중턱이라 조용할줄 알았는데 뒤쪽에 도로가 있어 대형차들 지나가면 소리가 다 들립니다. 평과 외관 때문에 기대를 했지만 제 기준에선 최악의 호텔입니다.

- msuPark (10/5): Very unique and tranquil but nothing much to do around - We stayed here for two days with our 8 yrs old son. The location of this hotel is quite remote, there is nothing much to do other than walking around the hotel or visiting nearby hotels (free shuttle). Other than that, we loved the bathtub and all the food in the restaurant. It is very remote.. so be aware of that..!
- Verified traveler (6/5): 특색있는 호텔 4.5성급 점수도 4.5점~ - 좋습니다 호텔 아주 깔끔하고 주변 좋고 ^^ 프론트, 레스토랑 다들 친절하시고. 다만 호텔의 이미지를 위해 응대메뉴얼 통일이 되면 어떨까 합니다~ 체크인 하고 객실 안내 받을 때 내부를 구경하며 조금 천천히 걸었는데 안내해주시는 분 혼자 성큼성큼 걸어가 코너 돌아 혼자 객실까지 가시는 멀어지는 뒷모습을 보니 약간 당황스러웠습니다. 죄송해서 구경은 이따 하자 하고 걸음을 재촉해 빨리 쫓아갔어요. 같은분이 체크아웃때도 프론트에서 객실카드 받아주셨는데 별다른 인사도 없으신걸 보니 전체적으로 고객응대에 메뉴얼이 정해진 것은 아닌 듯 보였습니다. 미소는 띄고있으나 편안한분위기를 주시진 않는듯.. 호텔 내 레스토랑도 직원들이 각각 다른 형태로 서비스를하시는데 음식이 나올 때 다른곳을 보느라 음식이 나오는걸 못보는 상황에 뒤쪽에서 아무 인기척도 없이 갑자기 머리 앞으로 훅 음식을 가져오니 당황.. 대화를 해보면 친절하고 미소가 있으신 분. 나쁜뜻은 전혀 없으셨구나 했습니다~~^^

- SerCh11 (10/5): Best Hotel in Jeju - The hotel is a little difficult to find as the road twist here turn there and road signs are not clear. It is in a separate building away from the Golf Course. You need drive up a small slope to the end of the road. The staff are all very professional. The hotel’s design is very artistic. A lot of attention are given to details in terms of hotel service and decorations. We had dinner at the hotel. The hotel has good good food, fresh air and lots of good service. The room comes with natural hot spring water and it is very clean. They use Bvlgari toiletries. We saw the most beautiful sunset here at the hotel lookout area. There is a outdoor balcony area at the room where you can enjoy the night sky. Overall we like this hotel’s very relaxing atmosphere very much and will be back again!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Staying a night in Jun Atami's masterpiece - As it is designed by famous architect, the hotel per se was very beautiful like an art piece. We stayed a night in traditional korean room comes with pine tree bathtub, which my parents loved a lot. There was korean style outdoor terrace with a nice garden view where the birds singing every morning. The location was not super convenient since it's a bit in middle of nowhere but it only took 15min by drive getting to Jungmun tourist complex. The breakfast was also served in a restaurant with peaceful view, sea urchin seaweed soup and grilled silverfish were simple but tasty enough to please our morning. One thing I have to mention about the hotel, is that the maintenance of the room did not seem very perfect. Maybe it's because of the humidity inside of the bathroom, pine tree bathtub had old stain or mark of molding. And the wall paper in the room above the bed head was coming off a bit. Overall pleasant stay and wishing to come visit again soon.
