- Louise (10/5): We loved our stay! Perfect location, walkable, great views, everything we needed. - The house was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The property is walking distance to town with a beautiful peaceful view from the front porch. We loved it. Highly recommend. Thanks Nathan! -

- Kaitlin (10/5): We loved it! - We absolutely loved our stay at Nathans! The place was so well set up, beds were really comfortable and walking distance to the Pub and the rest of the little town. Could not rate the place highly enough. Very affordable to for how great the spot and place was.
- Tracy (9/5): Relaxing easy - Lounge and deck options, aircon in all rooms as needed, large fridge, everything provided by way of utensils. Most of all the serenity. Hard to answer - there was nothing I could fault. Thanks Nathan for a great stay!
- Kathy (8/5): - Location, price Few things needed fixing and tidied
- Gabrielle (10/5): Great location, very spacious, great value! - The property is very spacious and in a perfect location for exploring the King Valley. Communication was smooth and it was great value for money.
- Peter (8/5): quiet and restful - The property was in a very small town. The area was ideal for a quite reading rest nothing
- Suzanne (10/5): Cannot rate this place highly enough The beds especially!! Everything was new and spotless Kitchen was packed with utens - Everything especially the location
- Amy (10/5): The perfect weekend away, in cosy perfectly equipped accommodation - We loved staying at Nathan’s Place! Beautiful, perfect location. More than adequate facilities. Cosy and warm and brilliant value.
- Karyl (10/5): - Nathan's Place was just fantastic. The area was so quiet and peaceful.
The beds were comfortable and the cottage had everything you need for a few nights stay.
The bathroom and toilet have been renovated.
It was great to have air conditioning units in each bedroom. It was good to be able to access streaming services.
There are 2 washing machines and 2 clothes dryers, this was a bonus.
The pub, Mountain View Hotel, down the road (a short walk away) was fantastic and we recommend it for sure. I book places that advertise they have a bath but they was no bath at all despite it being in the description, this was unfortunate.
Also, when using the clothes dryer, we noticed a smell and removed the lint filters and they were full of debris. This is very dangerous as it can catch alight. There is even a sticker on one of the dryers stating this.
The plantation shutters are very dirty and need to be at least wiped over.
- Brendon (8/5): - I really nice property and well maintained. I was little disappointed that there weren’t any complimentary teabags as we arrived late after the local store closed and would have liked a cup of tea after the long drive. A warning for those that drive, the road outside the property is quite narrow and had a massive drop into the gutter - reversing out of the driveway can be tricky
- Georgia (10/5): Second time staying here - very comfy and fab location. Will be back again! - Great location and well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Needs a few extra toilet rolls especially given we had 5 guests. Paper towel and tissues would have been great too.
- Darryn (9/5): -
- Frances (9/5): It was great - This is the second stay at Nathon's Place, although the house was great since our last stay the front door was so hard to close it would not lock, this is the only complaint that we had. Everything but the front door
- Robyn (8/5): Cosy house in a great location - Great location for winery luncheon and the Whitfield hotel. Sunny porch to relax and enjoy the view.
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- Carmel (9/5): We love Nathan’s Place, and would like to return sometime soon. - The location is wonderful, within a short walk to a winery, cafes and a good pub. When a small maintenance issue arose, Nathan actioned it promptly. Great service. And thanks to Tara as well! The wall dividing the kitchen and the living room drove me nuts. I kept bumping into it (which is probably more of a comment about me), but it seems to service no purpose other than being an obstacle.
- Angie (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Gabriela (10/5): The stay was confortable and the location was perfect for all needs. - Our stay was great! The house is clean and very comfortable. We were in the area for work and ended up extending our stay because of the comfort and the excellent location, which was perfect for where we needed to go. We would definitely stay here again. When we contacted Nathan, we received quick and effective responses. Highly recommend! We thought there was some kind of café, but we couldn’t find one.
- Amy (10/5): Cosy 3 bedroom house with everything you need - We recently had a wonderful stay at Nathan's Place. It's a cosy 3 bedroom house made comfortable with split systems in the living area and all 3 bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, there's a washer and dryer and the outdoor decking at the front of the house is a lovely area to enjoy an afternoon drink. The outside grassy backyard, sturdy furniture and lack of knick knacks also made for the perfect toddler holiday house!
The location is fabulous, walking distance to the general store, the playground and the local pub which does some delicious meals. It is close to wineries, some walkable as well. There is a local Cafe at the end of the road(which was unfortunately closed during our stay) but coffee was available in the local town, Cheshunt, at The Oven, only 5 minutes drive away.
Nathan's communication was fantastic, house was clean. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. There was nothing we didn't like
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Made the perfect base for exploring the King Valley. - Beautifully decorated, super comfortable and an ideal location. A short stroll from everything you might need. No negatives.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (9/5): value for money - Great place for exploring the King valley.
enjoying sitting on the decking watching the sunset and listening to the birds with a glass of local wine.
We were particularly impressed with the kitchen tong collection😂
- Geoff (8/5): Very good -
- Martine (10/5): Comfortable and accessible to the delights of Whitfield and the surrounding area. - We loved that Nathan's place was within walking distance of Dal Zotto, the cafe and the hotel. A very comfortable house with chairs and a table on the verandah to enjoy an evening drink as the sun set. We really appreciated the cleanliness, comfortable beds and the kitchen utensils (such as coffee/tea plunger) and also the wifi, because my phone had no reception in The King Valley. Thank you Nathan for making our stay comfortable and effortless. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Heather (10/5): - A great choice for us. Close to all amenities in Whitfield. Nathan's information pack was a great asset for directions and activities. House is cosy with a great new bathroom, bed very comfortable.
- Pam (8/5): Location was great - Had everything we needed Table too big for space
Microwave too high to use safely
- Kerrie-anne (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (9/5): Beautiful area. Really nice and clean place to stay. Plenty to do and see - Well situated nice and clean and tidy. Very comfortable No issues. It was a very pleasant place to stay
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Deb (10/5): - Everything was wonderful.
- Dennis (8/5): The right place to stay to visit the King Valley. - A very comfortable and cosy cottage perfectly located in Whitfield. An easy walk to the hotel, cafe and general store. We would stay there again for sure. The living room furniture is tired and the dining room table too big to be usable. But these are minor inconveniences.
- Lesley (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (7/5): Value for money and will book again - Location was excellent. Walking distance to the pub!
Great shower
- Alison (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, cozy with enough heaters. Had everything we needed Location was great !
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maree (10/5): - It was great, better than expected.
- Geoffrey (8/5): Centrally located, good value experience. - Nathan's Place provided all it promised for 3 adult travelers in classical North East weather.
Room to move, well-appointed and centrally located to local eateries and wineries, I will certainly consider a re-visit. Nothing , but as expected it is not 5 Star- nor is the price.
- Greg (8/5): Comforatable stay, great location - Great location, facilities exactly as described, comfortable, great for a family Squeaky/creaky beds/floorboards
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Aidan (9/5): Superb -
- Zina (8/5): Very good - Excellent location and great cooling systems. Unfortunately, the beds are way too squeaky / noisy.....especially the one in the 1st room on the right.
- Peter (9/5): Wonderful stay in a beautiful location - Great location, clean, comfortable and very quiet Nothing particular
- Jaki (9/5): Lovely quiet place for our two night stay. - We’ll equipped and cosy.
- Perri (8/5): Very clean and central to everything - Central and very clean Nothing except I couldn’t find an iron
- Karin (8/5): Pleasant stay in a great location that perfectly met our needs for two nights. - Fabulous location: very quiet and easy to find. Close walk to several shops and a great cafe with excellent baked goods, meals and coffee as well as a hotel with meals. The property is a bit tired and could do with updating. But it’s comfortable enough.
- Liz (9/5): Superb -
- Desiree (7/5): Very enjoyable, comfortable and loved the location - Proximity to wineries, pub, restaurants and cafes. Clean. Adequate space. Nicely presented. Cookware a bit worn. Would have been good to have a few basic items like tea and salt.
- William (8/5): Very comfortable house that feels like a home - The bathroom was fantastic, the location was very good so we could walk to places nearby, very quiet with good views of the mountains Nothing
- Rodney (7/5): Great -
- Amanda (10/5): Will certainly be returning as soon as possible. - Nathans place was awesome. Location is excellent and a great base for exploring the Hunter Valley. It was very relaxing sitting on the spacious deck and reading my book. A great place to chill out.
- Sandy (10/5): Exceptional - Cute home, very clean, walking distance to the local Cafe (great food & coffee!), the local pub/hotel, winery & recreation reserve (great if you've got kids that need to stretch their legs!). Nathan was very quick to reply to messages & sent great, detailed information prior to our stay.
- Steven (8/5): Great value holiday - Perfect size, warm and cosy house. Well located to Paradise Falls, Power lockout. Absolutely loved our stay our family have made some great memories at Nathan's Place. The rangehood grill needs a good clean its dripping oil when ever you cook on the stove.
- Catherine (10/5): Relaxing with great wine cheese and friends. Great couch very comfy - Girls trip away to do cooking class at Pizzini so location was perfect. Pub for dinner just down the road. Great spot out the front having cheese and wine enjoying the afternoon sunshine No complaints
- Barclay (10/5): I'll be back - Nice quiet location but only a short walk to pub for lunch and walk to general store Took a while to get used to TV settings but got there
- Leanne (8/5): Comfortable, clean and great location. -
- Anita (9/5): Great weekend away, we will be back. - Close to dining and wineries
Plenty of room for guests
Good bathroom
- Jelka (7/5): Nathan’s Place is convenient, comfortable and affordable but needs a good clean. Website needs updating as there is a bi - Convenient location, renovated bathroom, front deck has lovely views, streaming apps on tv, good wifi, bottles of water and long-life milk in the fridge. Could do with a good clean and a bit of ‘tlc’. Front bedroom only has hanging space in the wardrobe.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Comfortable house in a central Whitfield location. Good value for money. - Nicely renovated bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. Comfortable lounge room. Pleasant garden. House had not been properly made up when we arrived
- Henry (9/5): Overall great accommodation, would definately stay there again. - Great location, great price, everything was provided for our stay. Parking could be improved, carport was cluttered and hazardous getting in and out of car. Garden needs attention.
- Parnall (8/5): Excellent stay in a great location, would stay again - Great location just off main road, short walk into shops etc and just 50 m to oval for kids to run
Very comfortable place to stay, easy drive to all the sites to see , good facilities perhaps a bbq to use would be icing on the cake but not a big deal Was clean and tidy but could use a good spring clean to just tidy up and a few lights were out
- Wawawill (9/5): Thoroughy enjoyable and would recommend it without hesitation. - The place was comfortable and had everything that we could have wanted. Having air conditioning in each room was valuable as the weather was quite warm (and I expect it is also important in colder weather too). The deck was a peaceful place to sit in the evenings. We were within easy walking distance to the hotel and other businesses. Access to our parked vehicle was a little difficult due to timber being stored in the carport, and some bushes that needed a trim.
- Fiona (8/5): Very good -
- Judith (10/5): Excellent house in great location. - The house is excellent and has everything you need and is clean. Comfortable beds, great bathroom, big deck with fantastic country views, 2 minute walk to pub and cafe, Netflix and wifi, air conditioning in all bedrooms and living area, plus more. At least 10 King Valley wineries within 10-15 minutes.
- Anita (7/5): Good -
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Rodney (8/5): Very good - Location, value for money and very clean property. Noise from shower in third bedroom was loud.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet location with everything you need for a few days relaxing in the King Valley. Nearby wineries, bike hire and the local hotel in Whitfield are all fabulous. Lovely views from the sunny deck.
- Sheryl (8/5): Great location for Winter stay - Location to hotel and coffee shops great.
Comfortable for small family. Very helpful host Missing a few small items like dishwashing liquids that you would expect to find in short term rental.
- Jamil (10/5): - This property can be called "A place for all you need". Good for relaxation with families.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to town, nicely decorated and plenty of space. Lovely view from front porch which was a nice place to sit and admire the sunset. Clean and well organised.
