We stayed for two nights as a family of four with younger children and found it extremely comfortable, clean, spacious and affordable. Great a/c during a very hot spot spell of highs in the mid to upper 90’s F (36 C). Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was simple and delicious. Highly recommend!!

The staff were so nice and helpful- they arranged car services, tours, dinners. Etc. and the owner was a great person, loved talking to him at breakfast!! Highly recommend staying here and I would do a quick trip to Paris, see the biggies and go back to Lyon and enjoy France!

It couldn't be more centrally located, in a posh neighborhood, and near a metro stop. All the staff were super helpful and lovely. Each room has a distinct character, and quirky charm.

Very quiet. Friendly staff. Old building with all the confort . Good breakfast included .

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great little hotel - This is an authentic traditional French Hotel with large rooms, original wood floors, newer bathrooms, interesting decorations. Awesome location for visiting Lyon. The breakfast hits the spot with a nice variety of items. The breakfast room is on the 2nd floor. It’s light and bright with eclectic decorations. There is a reception desk, but no lounge area. The service is what sets this place from the others. Everyone was extremely helpful welcoming and nice. I would stay here again. This is not a full-service luxury hotel.

The hotel is more like bed and breakfast as it doesn’t have any common areas other than breakfast room. No entrance lobby at all. Not sure why it’s called a hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, very friendly staff, great breakfast. It’s in an excellent area, close to everything.

We walked from the Rhone Express to the hotel (got a Uber) on the way back. 30 to 35 mins walk. Breakfast if very good. Caution when arriving. The main photo is the Theatre, not the hotel! We walked straight past the hotel as did another couple we saw looking for the hotel the following day.

This gave my daughter and I the opportunity to sleep separately which was great. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly with our needs. We would certainly stay there again.

High end retail shopping less than a block away. Five minute walk to historic St. John the Baptist cathedral and restaurants/shops. The staff is so helpful in helping with transit plans and recommendations for restaurants and agenda. I already booked my next stay with them!

• Greg (8/5): Solid hub in Lyon - Totally adequate place to stay that is in a great location - perfect "center point" for exploring city center or the old quarter. Simple, small (typically so) accommodations. A little tricky to figure out the layout of the hotel, but nothing too bad. 10 minute or so easy, flat walk to the train station. Do keep your head on a swivel if you're walking with luggage - two employees from the Hermes store down the street came up to me while my wife was in the pharmacy and said two female pickpockets had been trailing us. Breakfast looked fine, but we never eat at the hotel (especially in boulangerie-crazy France!).

• Aparna (10/5): Great stay in Lyon - We stayed here for a nighr during our December trip. The location is great, mostly walking or metro ride to most places. Hotel is clean and well kept. The hotel front desk staff is very helping and welcoming, we had a great chat with the person there about more than Lyon.. They helped with local city travel ideas and dinner plans.
• SILVIA (8/5): - My husband and I were kind of disappointed. We were expecting a hotel but, this is not a hotel, it is a guess house. The owners and the staff were very friendly. The room was very little, it wasn’t as pictured. Something good is that it has a great location. We thought that the breakfast was included so we were force to take it twice but we got the charged when we checked out; to be honest, breakfast wasn’t worth it, there are so many great Cafes and nice restaurants surrounding the property.

• Nicola (10/5): - Small hotel in a central area (near Bellecour) with air conditioning. I stayed while attending a conference at the Congress Centre which is an easy commute on the C5 bus. The hotel street was quiet in the evening. Staff were really helpful. I would stay again.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Small and old but also updated and comfortable - It was a cute little hotel -- very old but one that has taken pains to keep rooms and bathrooms updated. And the location is great. I'm just more used to chain hotels and their additional amenities. And I thought the room was a little warm despite the air conditioning being on. I couldn't see any way to control the temperature. Would stay here again happily if I needed to, but next time I'll try to book farther out so I have the choice of the type of large chain hotels I prefer.

• Qi (10/5): - This is a very small and traditional French family operated hotel. Although the room is very small, it is really clean. The staff is very helpful, giving us help on where and what to see in the city. The location of the hotel could not be more convenient, right in the middle of all activities. It is also a few minutes walk from the Bellecour metro station. The room is also very quiet. It is just very good in all aspects.

• Mary (10/5): Great Lyon base - The owner and staff are welcoming and helpful. The location is good for seeing the popular sights in Lyon. The air conditioning worked well, even on 103 F days. The bathroom was very modern and roomy. We stayed there on both ends of our vacation, both during heat waves. Choose the Superior room type, looking out the well-insulated front windows.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Shabby Chic? - The staff were polite and professional. The room was clean, however it was very small. There were twin beds in the room and hardly enough space to walkaround so it was rather uncomfortable to stay there for any length of time. The buiding is rather worn inside (shabby chic?) and could do with some tlc. This did not help the ambiance however it's in a fab location near the river and the old town. Staying there was worth it for the location alone.
