• Daniel (10/5): Fantastic Riad with fantastic staff - Absolute gem of a Riad. Helpfully located within the Medina but both not too crowded and nearby a main road for easy taxi/shuttle access. Comfortable rooms, relaxing environment, and a fantastic hammam experience too! The staff here were simply the best too - when my wife was struck down by food poisoning they were kind, supportive, and genuinely cared how she was tracking as well. Would plan to stay here if I’m ever lucky enough to return to Marrakech!
• 5cf767e3bd00706863f7cd2a16944ecd (5/5): Riad erleben-okay-dann ist auch gut - Die zentrale Lage macht das erreichen der Sehenswürdigkeiten einfach. Man ist sofort in der Medina und kann dort gut essen und trinken. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Es gibt eine Dachterasse zum Sonnen, sogar mit Dusche. Frühstück top, man darf vorab eine vorhandene Auswahl nutzen und bestellen, allerdings hat man dies bei uns jedesmal (3x) ignoriert. Das war es auch schon, was uns stark an den vorhandenen Bewertungen zweifeln lässt. Wir haben viel Länder bereist und denken daher eine neutrale Bewertung hier abzugeben. Die Zimmer sind alle mit Klimaanlage, die aber entweder extrem laut ist oder ihren Dienst nicht tut. In jedem Zimmer, bei uns ( Erdgeschoss ) feuchte Wände, klar, die Luft kann nicht weg. Sobald gekocht wird im Riad, riecht es in jeder Ecke danach. Jedes Wort vom Nachbar etc. hört man, jeden Stuhl der verschoben wird, einfach alles. Die Betten oder besser Metallgestelle mit Matratze, die sehr hart und dennoch durchgelegen sind, haben uns nicht gut schlafen lassen. Man deckt sich mit einem Bettlaken zu, über das man eine Art Felldecke wirft, war auch nichts für uns. In der Dusche lief das Wasser nicht ab, was durch das Warten auf warmes Wasser,über 2 min in einer kalten Dusche mit Füßen in kaltem Wasser, eine Ewigkeit ist, bringen kein Wohlbefinden. Selbst die angebliche Reparatur brachte nichts. Die Dusche muss man in die Hand nehmen, um sich zu waschen. In ganz Marokko soll man kein Wasser aus der Leitung nutzen, aber das Riad stellt kein Wasser in Flaschen zur Verfügung, auch wieder enttäuschend. Mit dem Taxi bis zur Unterkunft geht auch nicht, dies alles führt zu dieser Einschätzung.

• Aroa (9/5): EXPERIENCIA POSITIVA - El trato de Mustafa ha sido excepcional, súper atento y te explica todo minuciosamente. Todo el personal ha sido muy amable con nosotras. La ubicación del Riad es estupenda porque está cerca tanto de la Medina como de otros muchos lugares para visitar . La habitación era súper amplia y tenía calefacción y aire acondicionado lo que ha hecho que la estancia sea muy amena . Nuestra experiencia ha sido muy positiva, espero repetir . Lo único negativo es que la habitación olía un poco a humedad.

Molto buona la colazione, servita e preparata sul momento ogni mattina. Personale gentilissimo e servizievole. Sempre disponibili per offrire aiuto. Utile il servizio di transfer da e per l’aeroporto, gestito direttamente da loro. Ambienti puliti, stanza pulita. L’unico piccolo neo è che le camere sono piccoline e non hanno un sistema dí riciclaggio dell’aria efficiente, quindi l’ambiente può risultare un po’ chiuso e soffocante. È parte dell’architettura di un Riad le cui stanze affacciano sul patio interno.
• Jack (5/5): - The Riad was central and clean. There is a gap between the wall and the door, and all spaces in the building echoed. So when trying to be quiet we were painfully aware of every noise we made. It didn’t feel private when sound carried as much as it did.

• Joseph (10/5): - I felt so relaxed when in the riad. It’s a beautiful riad that is comfortable and has multiple places to relax besides your room. The staff were incredible and extremely helpful. During the day and throughout the night it was quiet and peaceful. The air conditioning in my room was fantastic and the wifi was very good. The breakfast was nice and prompt. They let me choose what I wanted, if I wanted more I could have more, and I got to choose the time at which I ate. If I go back to Marrakesh, I will stay at Riad Sofia again.

They are doing work next door (and all over Marrakech) but we still enjoyed some time on the roof deck. Highly recommended!

The food at the Riad was outstanding the Moroccan breakfast amazing we were treated like family not guests. • Elizabeth Ailish (9/5): Very charming Riad and much thanks to the staff for a very pleasant stay. - The staff were particularly attentive, welcoming, and very helpful for making bookings and offering suggestions etc. They really added a level of charm to our stay. It felt very safe. Lovely rooftop area to watch sunset and to read etc. We had breakfast on two mornings out of three (as we had to leave very early on the last morning). There was a lovely choice of items which were laid on our table each morning, pancakes, flat breads, sweet cake, jams, yogurt, cooked eggs, tea/coffee. All served in a very relaxing area, the central space by the pool. Location wise, it was just 10 minutes walk to the main square in the old part of the city and lots of restaurants and options all along the way, depending on the style you wanted. It is an old, historic type of building, so the room was very much in-keeping with the traditional style and furniture we aligned. Its not shinny & new, it has character throughout the buillding. To be honest it really met all our expectations.

• Helen (9/5): Beautiful safe and welcoming riad - Mustafa looked after us from the minute we arrived. He gave us lots of great advice, and we felt very safe and comfortable. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was quite basic but tasty. The Aircon on the room was quite loud and didn't seem to do much.

Polecam bardzo, świetna baza wypadowa do zwiedzania miasta, wszędzie można dojść na pieszo. A jednocześnie spokojna i bezpieczna okolica. Przepyszna herbata marokańska i bardzo dobre marokańskie naleśniki. Śniadania były dobre, choć osobiście wolę zjeść coś nie na słodko i warzywa. Tego trochę zabrakło. Przydałaby się w pokoju również butelka wody mineralnej.

The facilities are adequate, rooms are very quiet and comfortable enough. The insistence on cash only is not pleasant, and is quite inconsistent with the booking.com listing. This detail should much clearer. I think the pictures are deceiving too, the place is more worn than the pics suggest. Overall, I do think this place is overpriced for what it is and where it is.

Je moest tegen de muur staan om te douchen. Dit maakte dat ik maar 1x heb gedoucht en de rest van de tijd heb gewassen met een washandje

• Maria (5/5): Unfortunately did not live up to the photos/expectations - The Riad is very well kept, its authentic and beautiful. The people there are incredibly nice and will try to help you with whatever they can. The breakfast was very very good, delicious msemen, pancakes and very good coffee. Unfortunately, we feel like the pictures of the rooms are a bit different than how they are in reality. Our room was quite dark and a bit cold, there was AC however, it can get hard to breathe in the room if it works for longer as the Riad itself is very humid. There is a bit of a weird smell in the room, from either the rug or the furniture, not sure, but that was quite unpleasant for me. If you’re someone sensitive to smell, then maybe you should consider that. Something else that was quite unfortunate was that out of 4 days/3 nights me and my boyfriend managed to get 3 warm showers in total between us two. No warm water to sower with in January was not something we wanted to experience on vacation. Which leads me to the bathroom - yes in the pictures it looks authentic and all, but in reality it’s not as good looking, it’s even less comfortable to shower in it.

• Chad (10/5): Amazing and tentative staff in a beautiful building. - Breakfast was a fantastic traditional Moroccan breakfast. The day before you can choose from the menu what to have prepared for you and the time for you to eat. It is made right there for you and tastes like an amazing home cooked family meal. Everything was exceptional! We will be staying again when we return.

Mi è piaciuto tutto, la posizione, camere molto belle e con ogni comfort, l unico problema il freddo la prima sera l aria condizionata non era sufficiente ma appena comunicato a Mustafa dopo 2 MINUTI ci ha portato termo elettrico... HAMMAM energico e rigenerante e super massaggio corpo. Abbiamo cenato 2 sere una migliore Dell altra. Insomma un grazie infinito al super solerte MUSTAFA 😍 Nulla

• Fiona (9/5): If you are wanting a traditional Riad experience the location & ambience of Riad Sofia is excellent. - Traditional Riad in the Medina - excellent location in a very quiet area but very easy to walk either further into or out of the Medina . Mustafa & everyone were very helpful . The rooms were beautifully decorated & bed was very comfortable , the courtyard an oasis of calm . All exceptionally clean . Breakfast was simple & home prepared. The Hamman & massage was very traditional- great value for money . Mustafa arranged our airport transfers & met us & helped with luggage from & to the taxi . My only slight drop to 9 was on our last morning there was no hot water . Until that point the shower had been very hot & with excellent power . Nothing

• Nadia Helena (9/5): Amazing hospitality - Located very near to Dar El Bacha The riad is also easily accessible and you wont get easily lost as well. The water pressure for the shower is a but weak, but its okay there's always hammam nearby

• Marco (8/5): Soggiorno di 5 giorni a Marrakech - La posizione ottima, la zona tranquilla, la bellezza della struttura, lo staff gentile, accogliente e disponibile, il cibo buonissimo e i molti servizi offerti. La stanza era poco insonorizzata e la doccia ci ha dato un po’ di problemi.

• Yuliya (10/5): - Отлично разположение в тиха улица. Трудно се открива първия път. Ние ползвахме трансфер на риада, дойдоха да ни посрещнат, което препоръчвам като вариант за пристигане. Саид и Мустафа бяха отлични домакини, винаги на място при нужда, без да са натрапчиви. Дадоха ни отлични препоръки. Закуската беше много добра. Вечеряхме една от вечерите - отлична вечеря, много вкусна, домашна храна, и изобилно количество. Стаята беше тиха и топла /времето беше около 10 градуса и валеше/, посрещнаха ни с включен климатик и затоплена, но не се наложи да ползваме отопление след това въпреки студеното време навън. Наблизо има добри места за хранене по всяко време на деня, но не много рано. Животът не започва преди 8,30-9 сутринта :) Хамамът не работеше, но ми предложиха друг наблизо.

• DANIEL (10/5): Premier séjour à Marrakech en famille. Nous avons adoré l’hospitalité, l’amabilité de nos rencontres - Très beau Riad situé dans la médina. Excellent service et un très bon accueil. Je recommande.
• Aditi (7/5): - Mustafa was amazing. He helped me with a lot of things and made sure I had a everything I need. Breakfast was good so was the location. A lot of major attractions were less than 25 min walk. The room was large and a little bit dark but nothing bad there This is mostly for light sleepers like me. The place has constant noises through the night mainly from running AC fans and other motors. Night 1 was really loud as the AC exhaust fans from other rooms were making a lot of noise and maybe my room (room 6) was very close to the exhaust. After a night of very little sleep, I asked Mustafa and he thankfully did some temporary fix. Night 2 the noise was manageable and can be ignored as white noise. Night 3 it was loud in the beginning and reduced after a few hours.
