• hélène (8/5): Très chouette séjour - Emplacement proche de la mer, logement propre et confortable, la piscine était super mais on a pu en bénéficier que le dernier jour car elle n’était pas encore mise en eau (mais on pouvait bénéficier de celle de l’hôtel voisin). Personnel très sympathique et aux petits soins. Merci Un peu loin du centre-ville à pied Pas de papier toilette dans les wc, c’est assez perturbant pour des français mais très courant en Crète
• Marie-Claude (5/5): - Appartement plutôt bien situé. Les serviettes de bain étaient remplacées tous les deux jours et les draps en milieu de semaine. La literie était de bonne qualité. La salle de bain n'était pas propre ainsi que le réfrigérateur. L'appartement est très mal insonorisé, les aboiements de chien et les pleurs des enfants étaient insupportables.

• Emilia (9/5): - Rodzina 2+2 (dzieci 2 i 7), pobyt w październiku. Apartament bardzo ładny, czysty i zadbany, personel sympatyczny i pomocny. Samo miejsce to dobra baza wypadowa, dużo jeździlismy w kierunku zachodnim i południowym, z parkingiem nie było problemu. Z basenu nie korzystaliśmy, do plaży jest rzut kamieniem, do centrum godzina spacerku wybrzeżem. W pobliżu duży market, restauracje. Widok z balkonu na morze działał relaksująco, ogółem jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni i śmiało możemy polecić. Kuchnia mogłaby być nieco lepiej wyposażona. Ale dalismy radę :)

• Marie (9/5): Good location, lovely apartments we loved our stay. - The apartments are clean in a fantastic location. We had a one bedroom apartment with side seating view which was amazing. Beach was a minute walk if that. Staff are helpful and full of good information . It’s about a 20-40 minute walk to the main square with lots of restaurants and shops in the way. There was only 2 of us so we managed but if we had 3/4 of us then there would not have been enough clothes space.

No factory gps that worked and we kept getting messages that it needed updatesThe usb port on the car was broken and the software on the gps was outdated. Everytime we plugged our phone it worked for 5 minutes and it would shut down our phone that was plugged into the usb and on the car monitor. Totally disappointment with the rental car. The car rental without gps was exhausting and would not do a rental from Enterprise ever again. We called the rental office but did not to anything to assist us or provide a refund of any kind. Can you do anything about that? See above which was detailed in message. Re rental of car from Enterprise.

• Paromita (7/5): Excellent location for those travelling by car, quiet location and friendly staff! - We received a very friendly welcome from the staff. Our room / apartment was much larger than needed. Well equipped with a large fridge. The breakfast at the sister hotel, was heavily laden with delicious temptations including fresh waffles and home made apple pastries. Also offered a water bottle filling station. The sheltered pool area at the back of the property was a beautiful place of tranquility in the late afternoon sun. In fact the premises were very quiet in general. Plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance as well as some small shops. The bathroom was a little small and run down, given the overall size of the apartment. The kitchen prep area could have been better laid out, but then again we mostly ate out. There were no mosquito screens on the windows anywhere and although mosquito plugs were available they were ineffective (and transmit toxic vapours) We ended up sleeping with all windows closed and the AC on (not our normal preference) and still got bitten:-(

• Barbara (8/5): - Close to beach. Next door to sister hotel Aristea and use of their facilities (which also offered a good buffet breakfast as an optional extra). Comfy beds. Friendly staff. Ten minutes from shops and restaurants plus a convenience store round the corner. Basic kitchen facilities, and a toilet that wouldn't clear when flushed 🫣. In need of an upgrade, which we were told by reception would be done for next season.

• Sara (9/5): Nice spacious apartment very close to the beach - Location near the beach in a quiet area close to Rethymno, spacious apartment, nice swimming pool which Is very handy when the sea is rough. Mosquitos in the room (screens missing in the windows), kitchen equipment was basic.

Parking privé trop petit et si pas de place très dur de ce garer dans les autres rue. Beaucoup de famille qui font du bruit dans les couloirs la nuit et le matin de bonne heure , claquement de porte, cri.

• Martin (9/5): Sehr schöner Urlaub, Hotel wäre perfekt, wenn das WLAN besser wäre. - Tolle Lage, schönes Appartement mit Meerblick. Frühstück gab es im Nachbarhotel. War von der Auswahl okay, nur der Frühstücksraum war etwas trist. Viele kleine Lokale und Restaurants in der Nähe und mit dem Auto waren wir auch in 5 Minuten in der Stadt. Das Meer ist nur ein paar Meter entfernt und beim Hotel gibt es auch einen Pool, an dem es immer freie Liegen gab. WLAN war sehr schlecht und nicht konstant. Ich muss leider auch im Urlaub etwas mit dem PC arbeiten. Normalerweise benötige ich für die Arbeit ca 1,5 Stunden bei dem schlechten WLAN brauchte ich doppelt so lange. Deswegen muss ich mir beim nächsten Urlaub auch ein anderes Hotel suchen. Schade, sonst war alles top.

• Demitra (7/5): Loved the area loved the hotel just needs improving with cleaning services. - The service lady was very friendly very well customer service, suggested great places to go for dinner and explore Heraklion. The location is great beautiful area for the hotel. Also was able to enjoy sister pool next door which children loved 1. No tv remotes didn’t work. 2. Have to be careful with shower as when you have it on warm water and want to turn it to cold it takes a few minutes to go cold I burnt myself a few times. 3. For the prices I paid I’m disappointed with the cleaning service . We pressed every single day for a clean room not once was our room cleaned or given us fresh towels I had to sleep on dirty sheets from previous day. I had pressed for clean up due to my children feet been sandy. If I had a broom I would have done it myself. Previous hotel was only 3 day they cleaned it every single day and washed sheets both of those three days and was 400 euro cheaper and infront of water.

Access to two pools and lovely welcoming staff. - The fact that we could also use the hotel facilities opposite, as their pool was nicer and they had a snack/drinks bar too! We’d booked a room with a double bed but they said that wasn’t the case. Had to prove it by showing the booking and they resolved it quickly making it a double bed but still was stressful for a second.

• Grzegorz (6/5): Ok - The apartment was generally OK, because it had been renovated, but in one of the rooms there was an ant infestation and the shower head was broken. You could only wash yourself under the rain shower. Mosquito nets would be useful in the balcony door and in the window because there were a lot of mosquitoes. We arrived the day after dust from Africa blew in Crete (orange and everywhere), of course we understand that the pool was polluted because of this, but our stay began the day the dust had already settled and lasted 2 days, so it was possible to clean the pool. The lady at the reception explained that it was not their fault that the weather conditions were like that. In our opinion, these were not bad weather conditions, but pure laziness and lack of care for the customer. The kitchenette was poorly equipped. Poor lighting in the room.

Water was leaking out of the floor while having a shower. Ants surprised us the first day when they appeared at our food.

• Janaina (8/5): Spacious 2-room close to the beach and friendly staff. - Location is very good, with some good restaurants nearby and steps away from the beach. Room was spacious. It is not walking distance to the old town, it was fine by our plans. Great value for money. We had breakfast next door in a separate property which was also quite good. Not much to say here. We did not get daily cleaning over the 3 nights which was a surprise but not a deal breaker. A shower curtain or divisor would come in handy. We would come back.
• Kitty1234 (10/5): Great place - Super clean and confortable apartment, cleaning and towels changed every 2 days and linen changed every 4 days. The staff (receptionist and maid) was super nice and kind. Location is great, far from the crowds in Rethymno but still dynamic and lively. Super close (3-5 mins on foot) to very nice and well rated taverns, supermarket, bakery etc. The beach is right next to the hotel (across a small alley). The sunset views from the beach are amazing. The pool is OK, but we liked the one in Aristea better (we had free access to that as well), as it had a nice garden and pool bar :). Breakfast in Aristea is very nice and varied (coffee was good but not great, though :))) Private parking right at the property. Very good value for money. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel.

• P (10/5): Family trip. - This was our second time staying in the Domenica Apartments, and we will definitely be returning. The apartment and swimming pool are lovely and in a great location. We paid for the breakfast which is served at the neighbouring Aristea Hotel, where you can also use their swimming pool, gym and cafe / bar. The breakfast was excellent with so much choice and in a lovely setting. The apartment was well appointed with plenty of space, including a balcony, a small kitchen, and a place to sit. The room was regularly cleaned with towels changed every other day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help. The location is exceptional as it is literally a minutes walk to the sandy beach where there are plenty of sun loungers. You can walk into the old town in about twenty to thirty minutes. It's a lovely walk along the beach front with lots of restaurants and bars on the way. It's also a central location for exploring the wider island. I also highly recommend the bar at the Aristea Hotel as a great place for lunch, afternoon drink, and cocktails in the evening. There was not anything we didn't like, other than having to come home.

• Shewasalright (8/5): Great stay in a beautiful town - The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. The apartment was super spacious. Location great, although a bit out of the main town was right by a lovely beach. Plenty of shops and eateries. Use of the sister hotel's pool after the Domenicas had closed. There is a frequent bus from the town centre that drops you off on the main road just a couple of 100 metres from the apartments. Would have liked ?TV in the bedroom but that is a minor detail as the apartment was very well equiped.

The location is sublime, nestled in a serene suburb just a short 2-minute walk from the captivating sea. The proximity to the seafront is a real treat for nature lovers. The breakfast served here is a true delight – diverse, delicious, and ample. The culinary choices available cater to all tastes, making it a perfect start to the day. Moreover, I must commend the receptionist; they were incredibly kind and always ready to assist with any queries or requests, which added a warm and personal touch to my stay. Another great feature is the complimentary private parking provided for guests. It brings peace of mind to know your vehicle is safe and secure during your stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the private beach area. It was a serene haven where I could relax and unwind, basking in the tranquility of the sea. It's a real gem for those seeking a peaceful escape. In summary, my stay was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of an excellent location, diverse breakfast, helpful staff, and the luxury of a private beach made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. While our stay in the family apartment had its moments, there's room for improvement, particularly in the reinvention of certain aspects. The apartment itself provided ample space for our family, and we appreciated the overall setup. However, there were some noticeable issues, such as a problem with one of the wooden windows. It would be great if the apartment could be reinvented a bit, with attention to detail in terms of maintenance. Another aspect to consider is the pool. It closes at 5:00 PM at Domenica, which might not suit those who prefer swimming or enjoying a vibrant atmosphere later in the evening. For a more extended pool experience and better vibes, I recommend considering a visit to Arista Hotel.

• Marzia_r (7/5): Clean apartment with good wifi - Good position to visit east and west. The apartment has a good wi-fi and air-conditioning (necessary!). The manager is really kind, I wrote him a couple of time (no water to shower one evening, kitchen equipment not enough - only 2 mugs - we were 3 - difficult parking) and he offers a bottle of wine and a nice plate of fruits. We all appreciate. - The place is far from the city, it's necessary to take the car - The third bed, single bed, is near the fridge! - The area is 'cementificata': - I don' t know the word in English, houses and hotels everywhere, it's not a typical nice village (this is my fault, I reserve at least and I thought it was a good idea to stay in the center of Crete). - The beach is near the apartment but nothing worth, just a big line, and cement on the other side

• Aurelie (8/5): Nice stay at Domenica apartments - Nice apartments at the very end of the boulevard. The room was clean and comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. You can use the pool from the apartment next to it as the pool at Domenica closes at 5pm. There you can also have breakfast en snacks at a good price. You have a super market and restaurants nearby and a bakery for breakfast. After the pool we took a dive in the sea so for us it had everything we needed for our 3 nights stay!

Really comfortable and clean apartments which were very well appointed. Breakfast was at the neighbouring hotel and was excellent. The pool closed at 5pm. That said you could use the pool in the neighbouring hotel until 9pm but this was small.

• Lærke (8/5): Very good - We like that we had 2 pools and that we had free gym access. It was super close to the beach which was very nice. Reception was very helpful and nice, they recommended places to go and such. Nice airconditioning and the outside terrace had a nice big roof so we weren't in the sun. One bedroom had no door which we didn't like since you had no privacy. And the bedrooms with a door had a sort of see-through bathroom window in it which also felt like you had less privacy. Also the cupboards in the kitchen weren't solid so you can't pull them all the way out without the cupboard falling out.

• Tímea (9/5): Quiet beachfront apartman - In a quiet setting next to the beach, simple apartment with new furniture in the bedroom. Comfortable, spacious. The balcony is also lovely, very warm in the morning but nice to sit out in the evening. The pool was open from 10am to 5pm, in fact it was a shame to be open during this time, it would be much more reasonable in the evening when you don't go down to the beach to swim.
• Leona (7/5): Good hotel, but I expected more. - Great breakfast. Good location I made a reservation two months ago, but we got a different apartment than the one I reserved. I booked an apartment with one double bed and two sofas. We got an apartment with one double bed and one sofa. They fixed it the next day, but the first night was very uncomfortable for us. We received no compensation just an apology. Domenica apartments do not offer umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach, it is very inconvenient because we have to pay rent to another hotel. The swimming pool is just till 5 p.m., there is another one in Aristea, but is much smaller, and there are many people from Aristea hotel. For the price I paid for the apartment, I would have expected better services.
• Egisma (8/5): Ok - Place - just few mins by car to Retimno old tawn. Beach is 2 min walk. Breakfast - great. Parking all good. The room had strong tabaco smell. With children that was unapropriate for us. All the rest - ok.

• Maria (10/5): The apartment had a great layout and the beds were very comfortable, it was very clean and the pool area was perfect for - The staff is super good, you feel as if you were visiting friends. I would have preferred to stay there for ever😄. The hotel is right on the beach, with a supermarket, good restaurants and a bakery nearby. You have to walk a little to get into town, but the path along the beach is very nice and you can also go there by bus or car. nothing!

Kehitettävää lähinnä voisi kylppärin uusia, istuma-amme pois. Parkkipaikka tilava. Lady Futini palveli respassa myös erityistilanteissa. Aristeassa allasbaarissa Babis on mainio heppu. Lyhyt matka rannalle ja Bulevardilla. Tulemme toistekin.

• Giuseppe (10/5): A good choice for visiting Rethimno. - Very clean and quite appatment, fully equiped for a short or long stay; the staff is very helpful about everything you need, very close to a sand beach and 20 min walking along the seaside to get to Rethimno.
• Andriana (10/5): Exceptional - I liked everything from the spacious room, the friendly staff and the handy location. Eventhough was the last week that the hotel will be open for the summer season, the staff were helpful and excited. We felt comfortable and we'll definetely visit again. The only thing i would note for this is the noise of the fridge. I couldnt sleep at the living room because of it and had to unplug it in order to sleep. Also not many tv channel options, especially for kids. Would be great if there was netflix service etc. Would kept the boys busy whenever they had an early morning but didnt stop us of having a great time overall.
