• Michael (10/5): Trying to stay positive - The Hotel was amazing and the staff very accommodating. Just a couple of gripes . They forgot to give me the code for the gate, and there were work men drilling holes next door. Apart from that I enjoyed waking up to the sound of a hammer drill, and enjoyed talking to strangers at 3 am in the morning when I had to miss a nights sleep because I couldn’t get into the hotel.

• Ramsina (10/5): - This was a guest house that was very clean with beautiful and clean rooms, daily housekeeping and safe place with secured entrance. The staff Bruno and Hillary welcomed us at the check in and provided helpful information. My husband and I enjoyed the short walking distance to many restaurants, Gelato stands and shopping areas as well as Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Parthenon, Museums, churches, the River and many other site seeing areas. We took uber to Colosseum and Vatican City. Over all a great stay and we recommend this place especially for the location and price.

The room was satisfactory, with everything functioning well. We communicated with the host via WhatsApp, which worked perfectly. Both check-in and check-out were remote, with clear and understandable guidelines. Cons: The rooms are quite small, and staying here with kids would be challenging. Although the room was clean, it didn't meet hotel standards. Overall, you get what you pay for, but we found it to be excellent value for the money. I recommend this place to travelers without kids who prioritize location and exploring the city over luxurious comfort.

The little old man at the front desk didn’t really wanna talk to me because I didn’t speak Italian. Hard to ask questions. No Wi-Fi in the room. The location is good. • Jacob (10/5): Great place to stay in Rome. - Stay was great. Check in was after hours and easily explained. Room was spacious for being in the middle of Rome. Metro station is very close. Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps both a short walk. My only issue with the room was the shower. It is small and is a fairly large step up from the floor.
• Israel (8/5): - Great location!! Considering Rome is a big city, it’s located close to some tourist attractions (10-15 mins walking) such as Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps & Piazza del Popolo. We loved our staying at this hotel. Considering the high prices around this area we found a gem of place. Kind confusing doing the Check- In so make sure to confirm your reservation and arrival before you get there. We had to wait 15-20 mins outside the property waiting for someone to open the Door and let us get in so we had to explained we got a reservation there. The City Tax (€60) in CASH kind suspicious but we had not option. It’s a good option to stay and enjoy Rome for a few days.

The host and Bruno are very frie - Great location, 20 minute walk to attractions, and even less time to restaurants. Nicely decorated, simple and clean. Parking available close by and secure! That was unexpected. Bathroom is a bit small. Perhaps a couple of shelves for fresh towels and toiletries would be helpful. Need a full length mirror in the room for getting dressed, wife really missed having that. I would rather have a armoire or something a long that line to hang clothes…coat rack is not sufficient. Armoire with a mirror on the door. Two for one fix.

The owner very nice and helpful, all the question were answered. The room was tiny, but clean and comfy. There is also a refrigerator, coffee machine in the kitchen.

But the was a lady on WhatsApp who helped with the translation and any questions. There was a smell in the room.

It’s not a typical hotel with 24hr on duty service however the staff was extremely hospitable and the rooms very clean comfortable and the ac worked really well. We arrived at 830 am and they worked quickly to get us into a room even though check in wasn’t until 3pm. Bruno offered me an espresso and my son a juice and pastry while we waited. The room was meticulously cleaned and sheets were as nice as in our 4star hotel. The ac actually worked better than in our current hotel. There is a small common kitchenette to prepare coffee and a small shared fridge. The other guests in the other rooms were very quiet.

• SIMONE (10/5): Definitely Coming Back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I stayed for 7 nights and I have to say that I didn't feel like a hotel or Inn guest but instead I felt like I was living in Rome because by having the magnetic key to come and go and without having to speak or see anyone at the reception I felt very free and autonomous. The place is Fantastic and with that traditional Roman and Italian architecture that creates a proper Roman experience. There is also a great WiFi Broadband. I has couple of Skype with some clients and the line was very strong and stable that I could also use my 4k camera. The owner, Lucrezia, Is absolutely polite and welcoming and she makes the Tay even better. I will definitely be back when in Rome! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

About 20 minutes walk from Main Termini Station.We found we could walk almost everywhere , did not need to use public transport , with exception of the Vatican, which is a bit of a hike away. We had the smallest room, which is a bit on the small side, but very clean , and nicely decorated. Would definately stay there again.

• Miss_Am_Ab (10/5): Gem of a find - I have not even left the place and could not wait to write this review! Home away from home, quite simply. Lucrezia and Bruno have been nothing short of welcoming and accommodating. Lucrezia has been so easy to contact and lovely to talk to, and Bruno full of smiles despite him not speaking English. I rocked up after an awful first night in Rome and asked to see the rooms and they were so helpful. They welcomed me in and made me feel like family. So glad to have found this little gem! So much so that I ended up extending my stay for 3 nights! Location is brilliant with lots of shops, pharmacy and places to eat on the doorstep. Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and other attractions are only a short walk away too! Initially was a little hard to find the entrance but as it’s tucked away inside it feels secure and safe knowing that there are so many doors and a gate for you to enter the building!

• ChuckSid (10/5): Great location, great host - A Star Inn is in a great location just off Piazza Barberini and within easy walk of most of Rome's major attractions. Lucrezia was a fantastic host who allowed an earlier check in, provided nice touches such as welcome cake and drinks and also wine and snacks on our last night. The rooms were good size and spotlessly clean. We were a group of 10 and had all 6 rooms in the apartment we rented which included a small seating area and kitchenette. For a central city location the apartment was also quiet. If you want a central stay in Rome, you can't go far wrong and I would highly recommend.
• Mark (10/5): Fantastic stay! - We stayed at A Star Inn for a week and had a wonderful time. The host was very friendly, and gave us excellent recommendations as this was our first time in Rome. The hotel is a few minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and is in the center of Rome. Hotel is very clean and spacious. Will come back again!
• J2719LVmarkt (10/5): Fantastic stay! Great host and location. - Stayed at A star inn for a week. Lucraezia has been very helpful with us for our late check in. Location is perfect, steps away from Trevi and all the restaurants. Rooms are clean. Thank you very much for the great stay!
• Jennifer (10/5): Stay here! Everything was excellent. - We had the best stay here, the staff were wonderful, the communal kitchen was really great, the room was large, the building and neighbourhood was safe and clean. Close to a train station and close enough to central that we walked with 2 large suitcases. They held our bags for us on the last day when we had a late departure. This place was fantastic!
• rtwlaw (10/5): Wonderful Inn - We had a group of 12 and rented the entire inn which consisted of 6 bedrooms with private baths, a sitting area and kitchen. When we arrived we were met by Lecretia who was a former lawyer. This was her office that she turned into the inn and she did an impeccable job. The rooms were large, comfortable, well appointed and the bathrooms were clean. Fresh Linen and towels and maid service daily. The kitchen was small but efficient for coffee, and breakfast which included fresh pastries and donuts as well as fruit, yogurts and juice daily. The location was also great. It was easy to get too from the subway system, and short walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Pantheon. There was excellent security and we were given simple instructions to follow when getting in after 6:00 PM. The air conditioning worked great but WIFI was tuff to get in the bedrooms with the doors closed. Lecretia recommended local restaurants and tips on traveling to the different tourist sites. The good thing was that we never saw her during our stay yet the INN was always kept in proper order and stocked appropriately. This Inn is highly recommended and I would stay here again.
• Robin (8/5): - Difficult to find, the entrrence is through two double gates which you need to be buzzed into and then through a courtyard and through another set of doors. The location is great
• Hernan001 (10/5): Excelent - It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. I went with my couple and mum. We did the late check in with all the instructions to get into the hotel and room. The room was big enough for the 3 of us and the breakfast was really nice. All the people working in the hotel helped us to know Rome and all our questions were answered with a big smile. We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. If we needed to have the breakfast earlier, they prepared it the day before. The place has 2 kitchens with all the things to go and prepare a coffee, tea, and small refrigerator. It was a very good experience and it felt like at home. Thanks ! Hernan
• smilic2016 (10/5): Pleasant Stay in the heart of Rome - We enjoyed staying in A Star Inn - Colosseo Room as it was clean and spacious with style. Room was comfortable in the same time and well equipped. It is at the great location right by metro station and few minutes from Trevi Fountain. They were very helpful in giving directions and info on the area.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful apartment home near sightseeing - I truly enjoyed this wonderful apartment home within walking distance to major sightseeing areas. The home-like feel of this place made it an ideal change from hotels. I highly recommend this wonderful place.
• ClaireBelle39 (8/5): Hard to find but great location - We had problems finding the apartment, as there was only a small sign advertising it and we had to go into what looked like an office block. We were early, but luckily enough the cleaner was there and was able to let us in to store our luggage and we returned later. We were lucky enough to have an upgrade to a bigger room. A lovely apartment with a small separate kitchen to make tea, coffee in. I would recommend it, but would suggest the owners give a few extra instructions on where to find it.
• Jakob (10/5): Great place - Stayed here for one night because we got into Rome 1 day early. Wish we stayed here the rest of the time. This place it great! Clean. Safe and great area. Comfy bed. Only down side was wifi didn't work in our room so we had to go in the lobby. I would stay here again.
• derekh0 (10/5): Attentive staff and good location - We stayed here in late April and had a pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and happy to help in whatever way they can. It's usually quite warm in Rome by late April so the centrally controlled heating in the building was already switched off, but it was unusually cold during our visit. Thankfully, the staff were very attentive and brought us a portable room heater which was a lifesaver. There's also a nice little pantry where guests can have complimentary coffee and other beverages.
• Emtt44 (10/5): A gem in the best location - Barberini - We stayed in the Pantheon room during our three night stay which I believe is the superior room. It was beautifully presented and clean with beds made daily, the chocolate and strawberries were a delight. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with a waterfall shower head and a separate attachment. The location is fantastic, around the corner from Barberini metro station, the main station, Termini, is two stops away which connects to the whole of the city and also the train to fiumicino airport. Within walking distance is the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon and many other Roman delights which are scattered across the city. Ilaria was lovely and attentive. She was able to recommend restaurants, routes to see the sights and what transport to use. Bruno the janitor could not speak English but understood us and was a great help. I would highly recommend staying at A Star Inn.
• Verified traveler (6/5): The basic - The hotel location is good however the WiFi does not work. Also the television is only in Italian . the rooms are very small also. In all its good if you plan to stay out all day and only come to sleep. They have a shared kitchen also. Ilaria the young lady who helps with the check in is very nice and understanding. Also she speaks English a bit..
• Nathalie (10/5): Seeing Rome - A two day stay to see the sights whilst travelling. Accommodation was clean and felt like we were in Rome, not anywhere in the world like more generic stays. Close to see everything that we wanted so we did Rome on foot other than the Vatican ☺️
• Gloriamulticolor (10/5): Excellent! - I have booked a room for my friends who are 100% satisfied with the service level. The room was spacious and comfortable, with nice decoration. Very well located in the city center, close to the main attractions. People are also very friendly, Lucrezie replies quickly and addresses al your concerns. I highly recommend this room.
• phoeben135 (2/5): Nice Location horrible all the rest of this place - the payment, on arrival they advise that you have to make a transfer o cash. Since then and until you pay they control your each step. Once you pay, no way to find them Bath room, shower drainage hole is not working at all, you are getting shower in your own mess. Wifi - inexistent The towels have never been changed in 5 days, all though you presume to be kind of hotel. the nice lamp of Coliseum in the head of the bed, is not fixed properly, you worry it come to you head during the sleep Don belive when they say you taxi to airport or return is 50 Euros, driver ask 55!
