• Fran (10/5): - This is a beautiful property located right on the river. The room was a wooden bungalow with views of the river. The staff were so friendly and kind. The food here was also very good, I would highly recommend the chicken wings. The room comes with toiletries and a mosquito net, if necessary.

• Hannah (8/5): Loved it here - Great attentive staff at this beautiful resort. Awesome location in the rainforest and a truly peaceful spot to relax and very close to Kong Lor Caves. It wasn’t obvious in the booking that this was a shared bathroom so that was a surprise! There was also a powercut in the day from 8am - 6pm which made charging devices difficult.

Feels like such a slice of paradise, staff were so friendly and the food was great. No personal complaints but one to bear in mind for others, the shared bathroom could be a few minutes walk away from your bungalow depending on which one you are allocated.

• Stefanie (10/5): - Super liebes und hilfsbereites Personal, tolle Lage am Fluss und mitten in der Bananenplantage, leckeres Essen. Die Höhle zu besuchen lohnt sich auch die Anfahrt auf dem Fluss. Kann die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen Essen nicht ganz günstig für Laos. Dafür aber lecker.
• Willem (10/5): Gewoon erg goed, een aanrader. - Locatie en de opzet van het resort. Zeer smaakvol. Comfortabel bed en kussens. Erg aangenaam verblijf. Naast het restaurant aan de rivier is er een lounge ruimte waar je contact kunt hebben met mede reizigers maar ook lekker alleen een boek kunt lezen. Het westerse eten in het restaurant is geen aanrader maar de curry was daarentegen zeer lekker. De hutjes zijn wel extreem gehorig dus je kunt pech hebben met je buren.

Restaurant was open throughout the day and had a reasonably varied menu albeit slightly westernised. We enjoyed all our meals here though. Enjoyed the nightly bonfire to socialise as well as an outside lounge area. Staff were very helpful and attentive. They provided (at a cost) private transfer from Vientiane directly to the resort. Shared Toilets were quite a trek from the rooms and probably need to consider providing 3 toilets as there were often queuing at busy times.

Le personnel est un peu farouche et petit pour négatif : tout est monnayable, nous avons fait des hostels à 8€ la nuit où bcp de services étaient inclus, les anti moustique sur chaque table, les kayak inclus dans le prix de la nuit où au pire la loc du kayak pour 100, là il faut payer pour l’anti moustique, payer 200 un kayak pour 2 personnes et j’en passe. Dommage pour un lieu à 80€ la nuit

We had a flat tire on our motorbike the day we were leaving and the manager was kind of enough to ride the bike to a nearby mechanic shop to have it fixed! We were so impressed with everything and everyone at the Spring River Resort. Many thanks!!!

• Barry (10/5): Recommended lodge in Hinboun Valley near Kong Lor cave - A beautiful lodge overlooking a clear river with good restaurant. We stayed 2 nights but wish we had stayed longer. The lodge can arrange many different tours. We kayaked on the river. Of course the Kong Lor cave and Ziplining at the Viewpoint are the highlights. We stayed in one of the expensive river view rooms. The other rooms looked pretty basic, which is why some reviewers may have had a different experience.

• Adele (10/5): Cadre exceptionnel, un coin de paradis - Un cadre exceptionnel, en plein dans la nature avec une vue sur la rivière depuis le restaurant. Les toilettes sont en dehors de la chambre au coin sanitaire. Nous y avons fait un stop d’une nuit sur la Thakhek loop mais on y serait bien resté plus. C’est un vrai coin de paradis. • Rico (7/5): Lohnenswerter Ort, Ohrenschutz nicht vergessen - Das Resort ist prächtig in den Wald eingebettet. So toll und ruhig die Unterkunft ist, so lärmintensiv wird es in der Nacht. Der Wald erwacht und es gibt unzählige tierische und menschliche Geräusche, die man durch die einfachen Bambuswände des Bungalows wahrnimmt.
• Onnika (10/5): Beautiful place out in nature - Beautiful location in the middle of nature. Breakfast with a beautiful view of the river. Multiple activities are offered such as walks, kayaking, tour to the cave. Staff was very friendly. The meals were delicious and obviously made with love <3 . Board walk between the rooms is well maintained with good lighting. Unfortunately 2/3 showers didnt have warm water. We only stayed 1 night and had a bad night here as some village kids had a party right next door from 9pm until 7am with really loud music right next to our rooms. We were a bit irritated by it, but talking to the staff the next day we understood that this hardly ever happens and they tried to stop it (their rooms were closer than ours), but the village people had replied that they couldn't stop it as it was family and the staff were not from that village. I think it was just bad luck for us, and I still recommend others to come here.
• Marek (7/5): - A typical tropical somewhat run-down big-sized hotel in the jungle, you'll tradeoff value/money for jungle immersion, buzz of the nature and cool surroundings. The facility info on Booking is/was a lil' misleading. Food not really good value for money but Kong Lor area is overall no high gastro. Having need to go 200 m to reach run-down shared bathrooms for above average money is a solid bummer. Hotel also refused shortening our stay for 1 day which we didn't regret at all in the end but didn't feel really friendly/welcomed guests on that matter. (place overall too busy to find a true "as home feeling".

Les bungalows sont jolis. Les bungalows sont très proches les uns des autres, on entend très très bien ses voisins ! Les sanitaires collectifs : pas très pratique.

Vanaf het balkon van het huisje aan de rivier had je een prachtig uitzicht. Vanaf de locatie kon je met een bootje naar de Kong Lor Cave. Dit was erg leuk. De prijs/ kwaliteit is in onbalans. Je verwacht dan voor deze prijs ook een betere badkamer en een warme douche. Deze ruimte zou wat ons betreft een opknapbeurt verdienen.

À ce prix là on a tendance à s’accrocher à des éléments de détail qui pourraient être revus (rideau de douche, robinetterie , … ),(complément des produits d’hygiène d’un jour à l’autre, lit refait … ) . Le site venant d’être racheté, le nouveau propriétaire est sensible aux points à améliorer ! .
• Agnes (7/5): Basic locatie op een mooie plek - De locatie ligt midden in de jungle. Het is schoon en goed verzorgd. Je kan er eten en drinken. De boottocht vanaf het hotel naar de Kong Lor Cave kost 300.000 kip en is een prachtige tocht! Bij de Cave moet je entree betalen en stap je over op een andere boot die door de grot gaat. Het is echt heel erg back to basic. De hut is klein, donker en je hoort alles van buiten. Dierengeluiden, de buren, geluiden uit het nabijgelegen dorpje. De toiletten zijn een stukje lopen.

• Daniel (9/5): - Traumhafte Anlage im Dschungel und.am Fluss,.sehr freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen Kreditkarten-Zahlungen kosten 4% extra, was OK ist und transparent deklariert wird, aber der Kreditkarten-Anbieter nimmt nochmals 4% und das muss zwingend kommuniziert werden. Wenn es kalt ist, wird es in den Bungalows ziemlich frisch, Extra-Decken und ein Bademantel wären hilfreich.
